rights I'm an independent journalist and also I'm conducting business as far as doing a Freedom of Information you have a journalist kind of card or something a journalist card no no I didn't make don't want don't touch me what are you doing don't record me what's wrong with you don't touch me I'm not touching you am I yeah you did you just grabbed my arm and grab my camera to stop you from recording to stop me from recording you you have no right to do that yes I do please back away please back away from me you're being really hostile I've been nothing but cordial you need to step back I'm not hostile with you you need to step back am I hle with you yeah you are by grabbing me by grabbing my arm and by grabbing my hand and my camera and trying to rip it out of my hand I'm giving you respect you give me respect no now you're the respects gone out the window once you started touching me you just committed a crime that's a crime commit a crime yes it is when you record and that's and that's the thing look and that's what people are going to see here that this officer just saw you just saw him trying to take my phone from me you just witnessed it from recording me that's against the law this is a constitutionally protected activity I have the right to film the police in the course of their duties government officials in the course of their duties not when I'm on my phone you're looking at my phone it doesn't matter you shouldn't be on your phone while you're working then what's wrong with you if you don't want me to see your phone we're in public here are you recording your so I'm I'm recording you to hold you accountable that's why I'm recording you and I'm giving you and this and this is and this is what I'm talking about that this officer does nothing when he sees this officer breaking the law I didn't because he has your back right because you're his Superior right I didn't break the I'm not yes you just did you just did you can't put your hand premises the officer informs Mr Paul Rees that he has a right to not be recorded this might violate the First Amendment rights of the citizens that permit the filming of Law Enforcement Officers under freedom of speech Mr Paul Reyes was released after 5 hours and the charges against him were changed to misdemeanor of disorderly conduct but I'm going to pull the signs down now until ka could determine the Constitutional issue of it you're going to sign I'm going to take those down myself right now until we can figure out conally what's going on the right thing right thing to do take them arrives at City Hall and removes the posters Banning filming after the protest by Mr Paul Reyes the removal of these posters might not align with the law as the ban on filming inside the premises was based on constitutional law to prevent eavesdropping initially the public praised Mr lao's actions but they may not be in the best interest of the people however he didn't face any legal repercussions
