At the same time, the girl's mom came to the location and she was clearly not happy, but it was the cop she wasn't happy with. You do know she committed crime. She was shot with the state of Florida just misdemeanor. All she had to do is cooperate. However, the feistier sister had to face assault charges for attacking the young man. The point of modern surveillance systems is to aid employees in detecting shoplifterss early on. But unfortunately, it doesn't always work. On April 24th, 2023, in a Walmart store in Florida, shoplifterss managed to slip away undetected and drive away. In our next case, a cop catches up to a shoplifting suspect in a parking lot. He tells the woman that someone fitting her description had been seen shoplifting. The officer then tended to the man's injuries, which were probably the result of him falling to the ground. The man kept sobbing the entire time, and the cops had to try and console him. Both suspects were charged with shoplifting as well as conspiracy to shoplift. But it turned out that Michael, the crime guy, was in this case the bigger criminal. He got additional charges of resisting arrest, obstruction, and tampering with public records. On March 12th, 2024, an officer responded to a shoplifting incident in Florida. As he sped to the scene, he saw the suspects trying to reach their vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby Bath & Body Works. Come here, Pat. You run, you're in trouble. Once the suspects fled from that parking lot, the officer was in no hurry to catch them. And the suspects probably thought they'd made it out of there. And one thing they couldn't have known at that point was that a second officer was waiting for them nearby. And he was ready to deploy the stop sticks. He's coming up in the right lane right now. After a very successful deployment of the stopsticks, the suspects lost control of their vehicle, crashing into a wooded area next to a gas station. Um but I you're going to be charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and looting with want and disregard, resisting without violence, uh reckless driving, and then whatever shoplifting charges come. With the K-9 unit ready for action, the cops were now prepared to inspect the vehicle. But before doing so, the cops decided to make some more announcements. Sadly, the canine dog didn't see any action that day. But on the bright side, no one was injured or in any real danger. As the officers were taking the suspects to jail and extracting their car from the ditch, one of their colleagues went back to the actual scene of the crime and talked to the employees. So, let me explain what happened. Yeah. I'm I'm an organized retail crime investigator for this company, which is Marshall's TJ Maxx. Okay. I came up here to get some video for the state's attorney. Okay. While I was looking at that video, I saw them come in. They started grabbing all kinds of kids clothes. So, at that point, I went outside. When they pulled out [ __ ] and concealed, waited for them to come out. My boss said, "How much is it?" I said, "It's about 200." He said, "Well, just try to get to the vehicle tag info." I said, "Well, there's a PPE mask covering it." And I said, "And now they're parked in front of Bath and Body Works." He goes, "Go ahead and call." So, I called you. Here's what happened. 15 cars later in the helicopter, we caught them. We caught them because they can't really drive very well, and they drove the car off into a pond on the other side of BP. So they all had to swim to us. I heard the helicopters and I heard the cops over candles. I feel terrible. We don't This Flag County, we don't play. So they took 38 candles. Yeah. So can you ring that up and then $1,000? In the end, the male suspect was charged with fleeing and looting assaults on an officer, grand theft, fleeing with disregard of safety, possession of a shoplifting device, and best of all, driving on a suspended license. His two companions were charged with resisting without violence, grand theft, and possession of a shoplifting device. On the 8th of December, 2022, our next thieving couple got right to work. At a local mall, the store employees noticed them shoplifting clothes and immediately notified authorities. There was a quick response from two officers. The question is, are they going to be fast enough to catch both offenders? Yep. Hey, stop. Stop. HEY, STOP RUNNING. YOU'RE GOING TO GET CHASED. YOU'RE GOING TO GET CHASED. Stop running. After escaping to the parking lot, the suspect decided to give up. And the officer here was probably glad she did. Judging by his heavy breathing, he probably couldn't have kept that pace up for much longer. Stupid as Jury, you good? Yeah. You got yours? Yeah. Over by I4. Yeah. You got yours? Stop. My keys. Stop. However, according to the officer, it wasn't the first store these two would be robbers tried to steal from that day. Thank you. Stop moving. I'm not going nowhere. Additional units quickly arrived on scene and the suspects were taken to the squad cars. Meanwhile, the officer went back inside to talk to the employees. Craziness. Um, so you said you guys have receipt. Okay. They had already concealed stuff in these bags. That's what this is. Pictures of like the bags with the stuff inside. Can I send you a link? I don't know if the other officer can he's done exactly. So, basically to for us to collect that, we'll just send you either a text or email and it's a link where you literally just like drag and drop the uh the video or pictures into the link. Um, he didn't do that, did he? The other officer didn't send that. Okay, I'll send it out. Once the officer got the evidence, he joined his colleagues near the squad cars. The two suspects were sitting on the curb lamenting their fate, but at least they weren't freaking out like some suspects do. However, the surveillance camera footage was more reliable and it showed these two blabbermouth shoplifting. Has anyone threatened you or promised you anything to get you to talk to me? No, sir. So, are you uh taking this stuff to sell it? Is that the intention? No, I promise. I'm going to be honest. It was for me myself. It was If you look at everything, it was my size and my baby size. Nothing was forced to sell because I, like I said, I make enough money to buy whatever I want. You have a job? I do have and I just got my LLC for selling peanuts. That's why I said for selling what? Peanuts. Peanuts. Okay. With the smoked meat and everything. I just got my LLC for that. So, I make good doing both of them. Desiree went through her phone and showed the officer all the peanut stuff she mentioned, so she was likely telling the truth. Both suspects were charged with retail theft and resisting arrest. On the 30th of May, 2024, another shoplifting incident took place in Florida. This time, the target was an Ulta body store in Palm Beach. When an officer responded to the call, he learned that three suspects ran out of the store and got into a Brown Infiniti FX35. I don't recall much. Um I know two walked out together and they ran in that direction and then that's all you saw. What did What did they There was stuff in her hands. There was a third girl that came out after the first two. They each had a basket full of stuff. Okay. And what did the third girl do? Um she was kind of just walking. The other two ran and then she picked it up once she hit the parking lot. Okay. They picked her up then in the car. Yeah. Back there. back there. [clears throat] Did you see them take it? I can show you the video. We can look at it together. I think one of them actually was here like literally 4 days ago. Really? Yeah. Find that video, too. The cops were able to get all the evidence and information they needed. They even got a license plate. But unfortunately, the suspects were long gone by then. Just a few weeks later, a patrol officer spotted a vehicle that fit the description. Guess we're doing this in the road. Yeah, they have to break like that. So they walk up to the car. Put all of them to death, please. Hello, agent. I'm trying to sheriff's office. I pulled you over because your tag doesn't come back to anything. Do you have a license registration insurance? The officer isn't really focused on any traffic violation because he knows these suspects are wanted for shoplifting. To keep things calm and prevent any attempts to flee, he's deliberately taking his time, hoping they think it's just a routine traffic stop and they'll step out peacefully. So far, it's working like a charm. You step out of the car for me. Put the car apart and turn it back. Briana one. What's your name, young lady? Huh? Caitlyn, do you have your license on you and so do you? Oh, no. I don't have license. You don't have license? Do you have an ID card? I just I just switched person. Okay. All right. When the officer asked the second suspect for ID, she fumbled through her bag, supposedly looking for an ID. And when she couldn't find it, she ended up giving the cops a false name. No, I don't even have You know, they just took the car yesterday. We just got out the panel and everything like and they never said that. That's so weird. Oh, why' they take the car? Our headlight was out. They took your car cuz your headlight was out. Yes, that's it. They didn't They pulled us from the front. Okay. You guys smoked in the car before you got in or while you're in? I'm not trying to be like, "Yeah, the officer immediately realized these suspects would not be as forthcoming as he'd hoped, but it seems they still hadn't realized the cops knew all about their shoplifting." They probably still hoped it was just a simple traffic stop. What was the reason I got pulled? The tag is fake. I'm sure you know. I don't I just asked for paper tag and they gave it to me. Who? The person who I got it from. Okay. So this tag this car had a different paper tag on it the other day. Yes, it was like it was expired. Yeah. So Oh my [screaming] is hot out here. It's like that for real. That's sad. Once the driver found herself sitting on the curb, it didn't take long for her sassy attitude to come through. She might have thought that if she acted dominant, she might avoid being questioned. But deep down, she knew it was the exact opposite. If y'all already gave me your name, why they ask me for y'all names? She gave me the wrong name. So what? That's the name she gave you. I don't know. Do you guys know the reason why you're in handcuffs? No. Not a single guess. No. You guys do anything recently at the mall? Take any take any merchandise? We don't go to the mall. Got you all on video and everything. That's why you guys are in handcuffs. So, detective wants to know if you want to speak your words or no. Where the detective? What mall? Yeah. What mall? The officer explained they disregard the traffic violations and let the third passenger go because she was cleared of any wrongdoing. But first, he had to help her friends take off their jewelry and get some makeup on for their mug shot photo shoot. Oh, can we take your your jewelry off you and leave it in the car? What you that that thing? No, I want it on my mug shot. Okay. You don't get to wear it. Yeah, you'll take it off before the mug shot. No, they not. I've been to jail before. Oh, we know. I go there like every day. This can't go. This can't come off though. They're gonna try your earrings. So, she's just gonna be You can take my Can you take her earrings off for me, please? You don't have nothing on nothing else on anything on cuz they're going to check you. It's another charge when you get there. Trying to help you out. Oh, y'all got I don't got no idea. I don't know. It's always refreshing to see suspects face consequences with a smile on their faces. When the girls finished getting ready for their mug shots, they were taken off to jail.
