Actions have consequences. So stand up. I'm going to have to >> She does. She said that she has items. >> Hey. Hey. Hey. >> The cops have to deal with shoplifting every single day. But some cases uncover a whole lot more than stolen merchandise. What's supposed to be a simple arrest for shoplifting can quickly escalate when these illegal immigrant shoplifters get busted and deported. >> Okay, I'm standing up. Standing up. I'm standing up. I'm standing up. Stop. Stop. I stand up. Stop. Okay, I'm steady up. [screaming] On the 5th of May 2025 in Downers Grove, Illinois, the cops were dispatched to a Home Depot after reports of a shoplifting. According to loss prevention, the suspect concealed merchandise in a purse and was trying to leave the store. They were trying to walk out with $340 worth of Milwaukee power tools. >> How's it going, ma'am? >> What's going on today? >> Lost. >> You're walking? Okay. Well, so the loss prevention for Home Depot He's accusing you of possibly taking some. So, I need to speak with you quickly. Okay. >> I already dealt with this. I already signed the football. >> You sign what paperwork? >> The no trespass. >> No trespass. That's fine if you sign the no trespass. Where's your car at? >> I don't have a car. >> You don't have a car? >> No, I have I have >> Okay. Do you have your driver's license on you? >> I don't drive. I don't have license. I >> You don't have a license at all? >> No, I All I have is a sandwich with a chocolate nail. Just to clarify, the loss prevention staff had confiscated the stolen merchandise and trespassed the woman from the store. Sadly for the suspect, power tools are incredibly expensive and as a result of her crime, she was arrested for retail theft. >> Miss, put your hands behind your back. >> No. >> Yep. >> We're under arrest for theft. You're under Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Okay, I get it. Okay, stop. Stop. I know. I know. Stop. Stop. >> Stand up. >> I will. I will. Stop. Stop. Stop. Okay. Okay, I'm steady up. Steady up. I'm steady up. Stop. Stop. Stop. I am steady up. Stop. >> Okay, I'll ste up. [screaming] Stop. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Stop. Stop. >> If you do not put [laughter] your hand, >> if you do not put your hand behind your back, I'm going to have to prone you out on the ground. Do you want that? How hard would it have been to just stand up and put her hands behind her back? Somehow, she was going to have to learn that she wasn't the one calling the shots. And if she didn't start complying, the cops would have to resort to more drastic measures. >> We're just going to have A CARTER. READY? OF ME. STOP. >> This is going to This is hurting yourself. >> Stop. >> I I need to turn over, man. >> Stop. >> You got to sweat it cuz I'm going to relax. >> Stop. You break him already. >> Then you stop resisting. >> Put your arm out. >> Put your arm out. [screaming] >> Put your arm out. go. [screaming] [crying] >> You push that in. >> Unfortunately, she'd done all that for nothing. When are people going to learn that resisting gets you nowhere? When a suspect refuses to comply with them, the cops don't just throw their hands up and walk away. Next up, they got the woman on her feet and she was escorted to a squad car. >> Come on, man. We're going to walk in this car here. >> Stop. >> Why would you do this? >> Why would you do this? >> Why would you do this? Are you serious? >> It is now. >> No. >> Come on. Come on. >> Stop. Stop. >> Come on. >> No. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Okay. Stop. Stop it. No. Stop. Stop. No. No. Stop. >> It'll be much easier if you >> stop. Give me the breath. Give me the breath. >> All right. You know what? Let's have the >> sit. By that point, it was unclear why she was resisting the cops so much. She was already in handcuffs and she wasn't going anywhere. Because they all wanted to catch their breath from the struggle, they let the woman sit on the curb for a little bit longer. >> If you don't get in the car, we're going to have to lift you up and put you in there. >> So, that's up to you. >> Stop it. Please don't understand my wrist. >> Your wrist is hurting cuz you're pulling away from us instead of car. >> If you would just sit in the car, you would stop hurting. You're holding my [crying] stop. >> Come on. Stop. >> My wrist. Look at this. Look. Look at my wrist. Look at my wrist. >> Look at your Look at my wrist. >> Look at my wrist. All right. Yeah. >> He's going to pull you back really hard. >> You don't sit down. He's going to pull you back really hard. >> Come on, man. Come on. >> Come on. >> Stop. IF YOU DON'T STOP, THOUGH. >> Look at my wrist. What? >> The cops still had to identify the woman, but she claimed she didn't have ID. That being said, she told the officer she lived in Washington and was originally from Mongolia. >> Have you ever been arrested before >> in Mongolia? >> For what? >> Throwing water off a balcony. I was >> That's a crime in Mongolia. Throwing water off a balcony. Did it hit somebody? >> It landed on a lady's head. >> Oh, that's not good. How long ago was that? >> I was a villain. >> Okay. How long have you been in the US? >> My parents have import business, so I went back and forth. >> Okay. But how long have you been in the US this time? How long? >> A little over a year. >> A year. Okay. And then you were in Washington before that. [clears throat] >> Yes. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> It's really dry. >> Are you Are you shoplifting for a purpose? Those tools they sell at the swap main. >> Okay. So, whoever dropped you off here, they're saying that they sell that that stuff at the swap meeting. >> No, I just got it right here. >> You got to do nothing else. >> Okay. >> All right. >> She was taken down to the station and the whole way there, she complained she was being mistreated. Essentially, she said the cops didn't have the right to arrest her because the Home Depot staff let her go after trespassing her. >> Why would you decide to arrest me? The whole different guy told me I had to leave. He told me to leave. He didn't want me to walk out. >> Okay. >> And then you arrest me for what? >> All right. Well, you are under arrest for retail. >> He told me he told you he let me go. >> And before we have any more communication, I want to inform you of your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court of law. You have a right to an attorney. And if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you without cost. Do you understand those rights as I've explained them to you? >> Those rights are the fact that he took because he told me I could go >> and he lied. >> Well, I can't say whether or not he lied or did lie, but it's his right to sign complaints against you for retail theft even though they got their merchandise back because you weren't pass. >> No, he told me you can go and he's skeptic to say he said you can go for you here. Okay. >> I asked him, "Are you tricking me?" >> No, I'm not tricking you. Where is that? I asked him cuz I didn't walk out for him. I didn't walk out. I said, "Are you tricking me? Because I'm not going to go." He said, "What?" >> All righty, miss. You ready to come on out? Are you going to be able to walk out for me? Do you need help? You want me to help you? Or you got it. Okay, there you There you go. I know. Hey. Oh, she's Carl Mar. This is Guess we got to walk her through that way. >> They charged the woman with retail theft exceeding $300. She was also charged with two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer. Once they positively IDed her, the cops found out she had an arrest warrant in Cook County. After getting a court date for October, she was later released. On the 8th of March 2025, the cops were dispatched to a supermarket after reports of a shoplifting. Allegedly, two suspects were seen placing items in their cart and making their way toward the exit. By the time officers arrived, one of the suspects already had fled, leaving his accomplice behind. >> Is that him? >> Yeah. >> Okay, >> what's going on, man? I'm talking to you. What's going on? What's going on? >> How about Espanol? >> Espanol City. Okay. Where's the other guy you're with? >> No, no, no, no. Where's the other guy you're with? >> Yeah. Where's the amigo you're with? >> Yeah. Yeah. Where's the amigo? >> Here's the thing. The door's locked. You're not going anywhere, right? So, we're just trying to figure out what's going on. >> 56 and 70. You speak Spanish? >> Either the suspect didn't speak a word of English or he was just fooling with the cops. Whichever it was, he did understand enough to deny that he had an accomplice. But of course, it was a lie. >> Hold on. Hold on. Give us a minute. We're trying to investigate something. Don't leave. All right. We got to investigate something. All right. >> 9156 from 917. >> Do you speak Spanish? >> Yes, sir. All right. Maybe by the hunting thing bank sign right here. >> Yeah. Espanol. >> I guess this is one of Yeah, this is one of the subjects. Can you ask him what's going on? What he's doing? >> Thankfully, by that point, there was a significant police presence, including a cop who spoke Spanish fluently. The suspect here kept trying to walk toward the exit, which made the cops suspicious that he might try to run. >> Hey, he keeps trying. He keeps wanting to leave. Do I have anything to hold him on or being trespass? >> Trespass. All right, for sure. So, he said that he got dropped off by what car? >> A truck. A blue truck. a blue truck. You just got dropped off. He's saying his Mexican boss left him. >> He's saying that he got dropped off to do uh what's it called? To buy stuff and now he feels offended because everyone's following him and all that stuff. >> What about the other guy that was with you? >> He said that it's he met him here. >> The cops here saw right through the man's story. They'd already spoken to loss prevention and allegedly as the man and his accomplice walked through the store, they were filling up their cart with stolen merchandise and they were obviously familiar with one another. >> So, he's going to be trespass. Okay. Verify his identity. And if we can't verify his identity, we're going to have to uh verify his identity. Um got his date of birth. We got his date of birth. He's saying he feels uncomfortable that he doesn't know. >> He's saying that he hasn't committed a crime. He wants to leave. >> But he's committed the crime of trespassing. Tell him he's trespassing. We have to give him a warning that he can no longer be here. Okay. >> I already gave him the warning though. So >> Okay. >> So he's just right. >> Okay. being trespasser to verify his identity before we can trespassing. Right. So, so what? >> Explain to him what trespassing is. I don't know if he knows what trespassing is. So, explain to him that he can explain to him said he understands. >> Okay. >> The suspect said he didn't have any ID on him, but he gave the cops his name and date of birth. However, the cops were still suspicious that he wasn't telling the truth. The suspect said that he planned to pay for his items, but because the cops were harassing him, he no longer wanted to purchase the merchandise. >> We explain to him that they've been reported by other stores and he says that he wasn't there. He's saying that he was just going to buy it with zel. >> He's saying he's a hard worker. Okay. So, >> where's he? >> You still can't find it. You think he's still somewhere in the store? >> We searched the whole store, the band, everything like that. Can't find them. We could do one more walk through with someone who knows the store better than us if they like. >> He came from then the manager found the other car back over here. Some were standing by the door the entire time. They didn't see anybody walk out. So >> by that point they'd surrounded the man with nearly a dozen officers. That being said, he was only feet from the exit. And realizing the trouble he was in when the cops finally identified him, he decided to make a run for it. >> What did he say his name was? >> Hey, hey, hey. >> 70. He's running. We're running towards the street towards Panera. Yeah, bro. >> Hey, don't piece. >> Back up. Hurry. >> Sorry. >> Shoulder. Got him. >> Sadly for this guy, he couldn't outrun the cops, but you still had to give the guy credit because he was surrounded by officers and he almost managed to get away. Even the fact that he made it out the door was a feat on its own. >> Got you. >> Hello. man. >> Got it. You got it. [snorts] >> You got anything else on you? I thought I got him better than me, but he had all the [music] momentum going. >> The hockey stuff already. >> He had all the momentum. >> Good morning. >> 120 Somerset Henry 12119. Adam Henry 12119. [laughter] >> You got your camera rolling in here? for 120 almost. [laughter] >> Of course, >> the suspect here could act confused all he wanted, but he knew what he'd been up to. The reason he ran in the first place was that he knew he was in the country illegally. And once the cops identified him, he knew it was the end of the road. >> This is going to be some great video. He came right out the door and he's looking at me. I just said, "All right." And I just like freaking popped him as hard as I could and we slammed him, but he had all the momentum. >> And then I Yeah, >> he was there. I had him over by the cash register away from the door. Then when I went to go look at the photo, >> they migrated right towards his door >> and as soon as Sergeant went to go get the picture of him. >> Yeah. >> He bolted. >> So, >> well, he gave he gave a name and it wasn't it wasn't accurate. So, we got every right to detain him as far as that goes. has his ID. [laughter] Do you have his ID? >> That's going to be great video. >> He was later charged with obstruction, resisting arrest, and providing false information. His accomplice had seen the cops arrive, and before the officers could detain him, he had fled the scene. On the 12th of May 2023 in Ohio, the cops were at a Walmart hosting a children's shop with a cop event. During their event, they saw a man there placing a handful of gift cards back on Iraq and thinking he might be a scammer. The cops quickly surrounded the man and [music] detained him. >> They've got several Chinese people. >> Okay. >> You got this now. I'll go back. >> Yeah, you're as soon as somebody buys these and these, they take the money. >> This is huge. Okay. Take your hands up. >> So, were those cards on him, too? >> Yes. Yep. >> All of them. >> Evidently, there's some big scam that's going around. >> Yeah. Oh, they use these things all the time for that. >> You got ID? >> I low ID. >> Noid. I trust I trust the America. >> You what? >> America. Yeah, you're here. >> I I >> So, here's how the scam works. The scammer steals the unloaded gift cards and then alters them, recording all the numbers and the information. After that, he returns the cards to the shelf. When a customer buys a card and loads money on it, the scammer accesses the card and steals the funds on it. >> The NLS trespass from Walmart, didn't you? >> He hasn't. So, I'm trespassing him today. >> Um, look, they were wondering if you could get a search cuz [music] I guess once they search the car, >> but you're about to go to jail. A bunch of different people throughout the region or whatever. >> Did you ever say how did you get here? >> Well, that's awesome. >> I'm not sure why you were here, but you're about to go to jail. Why? >> What do you mean? Why? >> That's common sense. >> All of a sudden, he knew a little bit of English. The cops, however, had a hunch he was lying. Somebody was running a counterfeit gift card operation, targeting every Walmart in Ohio and the surrounding states. And the cops here had a pretty good feeling that the man might be the mastermind. >> He just came out of the bathroom, right? He's passed the last point of sale. >> Yep. >> He took it to the bathroom. He threw He passed the registers. >> Why was you in the bathroom? >> What are you thinking, Serge? >> Technically, it's theft. He walked past the last point of sale with these concealed in a scoop. That's theft right there just by digging this. I mean, that >> I'm not uh >> I don't know how you put a value on one of these. >> I don't know how you put a value on it either. >> I mean, it's still theft, but I I He's in the system. I don't know what he was been caught for. It's this. I don't know how much. >> He's in the Walmart system. >> Illinois. >> He's hitting all Walmarts throughout the state of Ohio, Illinois. He was last seen in Illinois. >> Consistent with the infamous scam, the suspect here had been taking cards from the shelf, passing all points of sale, and then went to the restroom. Inside the bathroom, he was most likely recording all the information and then trying to get the cards back on the shelf. What states am I? >> Michigan. >> So, Michigan. He had 38 alder cards, 26 Apple, and 12 in common Visa cards. >> Is your name Ming? >> Ming. >> Ming. >> M I N G S U E. >> Is that you? >> Uh yeah. Yeah, I know this. >> Yeah. >> The suspect here, 32-year-old Ming Sway, admitted to the cops he'd been busted in several states for committing the very same scam. Still though, he didn't have any ID on him, so the cops needed a little more proof. >> Sir, you English is no good. You you >> you going to jail. You're going to start comprehending English real quick. I I put your hand under arrest. >> I just say we got to score them all. >> I don't think it's going to matter. >> These cards don't have any money. These you still have to pay for. You can't just take these. >> See, he thinks he has all >> These are not free. >> And you can seal them. >> Wonder where they parked. I just want to see my car. >> Someone dropped him off. >> Was he just walking the interstate? >> This guy's in your coach. >> They're definitely >> No. So I >> You didn't go past these registers? >> Something. We know we did though, right? >> I put in my pocket >> and went to go to the bathroom. I haven't gone out yet. It doesn't matter. You went past the last point of sale. >> The cops were trying to use a translator app, but they were getting nowhere fast. Sadly, it was just back and forth nonsense, and it was getting the cops nowhere. To properly question the man, they were going to have to get a translator. And that meant they'd have to head to the station. >> I think we're done. Let's go. >> All right. Well, I'm going to ask him where he lives at real quick so we can try to get an ID on him. >> Does he have car keys or anything? >> Uh, so please I I >> You're going to stand there. I I Okay. >> Okay. I came in from Texas. Is that where you live? >> Mexico. >> Okay. My API is on the whole video. >> No. No. They continued trying to chitchat using the translation app, but it was all pretty pointless because whatever they asked the man, he had lots of excuses. By that point, the only thing left to do was put him in the back of a squad car. >> Please want me to hook him for death then for now. >> I'll choose hook him for an investigative hold and do the report. I will either charge him with a misdemeanor in the morning or we'll do >> figure it out. I'll name the date of birth all we got for now. But >> but I'll figure if you just get me a complaint. >> Yeah. He has not been trespassed yet. According to WL1, >> he needs to be trespassed. >> If he comes back, be arrested. >> You got anything else on you? Well, you don't know what that means. >> I thought I did. You did? >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> I counted his money. I already counted >> pat him down. Good. >> Counted on body. >> Good. I mean, >> oh, he's going to print that out. >> He's going to print that stuff out for me. And then >> you me. >> After further investigation, they found hundreds of gift cards in the man's vehicle. The man later plead guilty to over 300 counts of felony counterfeiting for engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. He was sentenced to prison for 4 to 6 years. On July 17th, 2025, the cops responded to a Target store after reports of a woman trying to steal a cart full of merchandise. But instead of admitting to her crime, she tried to emotionally manipulate the cops into letting her go. She just straight pushed out a card full of stuff. >> I would say, "Please get me." >> No, he can't come in here. >> Please. >> You're an adult. >> You're an adult. He can't He cannot come in here. Put everything in your bag. >> Yeah. Put everything in there. Okay. >> My phone. >> Huh? >> What? >> Yeah. We're going to leave it in here for right now. Uh turn around and uh you're replacing the handcuffs. Okay. Turn around for me. >> Why? >> Turn around. [music] Turn around. >> But I forgot a B. I told you. Okay, we'll talk about it. Turn around. >> No, sir. I told you I'm forgot. Sorry, but I pay I pay for you. I'm sorry. >> Okay, we'll just >> Please, just one forgive me, please, sir. >> For some reason, she thought begging the cops might get her out of the shoplifting charge. But unfortunately for this woman, the cops couldn't let her just slide out of sympathy. If that were the case, anytime anybody got caught, they put on a very dramatic performance. >> So, please, >> I don't have an option right now. Okay, let me put you in handcuffs and I'll further discuss this. >> No, sir, please. Okay, please. >> I don't have an option. >> Sorry, sir. I pay for you. I'm sorry. I'm forgot. Sorry, sir. Please >> turn around. >> Sorry, sir. No. No. Sorry. Sorry. Please. >> We don't want to do this. Come on. >> No. No. Sorry. No. >> Okay. >> You're going to be placed in the handcuffs. Okay. >> Sorry, sir. Please. Sorry, sir. >> Sorry. Please. >> This isn't going to go anywhere. You could keep saying sorry, but it's not going to change it. Sorry. >> Over. Okay. [laughter] Sorry, please. No. No sir. Sorry. Please. >> You have to turn around. >> No, sir. Sorry. Please. Please. Work. Please. >> You have to turn around. >> No, sir. Please. >> You have to turn around. >> No. >> You don't You [crying] don't want >> You don't want to make this worse. >> Okay, turn around. >> She continued begging the cop to let her speak to her husband, but like the officer told her, she was an adult now and she'd have to deal with the consequences. She was begging the cops so aggressively that it seemed like she was having a panic attack. >> Please, no. >> Sit down. [crying] >> Have a seat. >> Sit down. Well, [crying] sit down. >> Sit down. Okay. Sit down. Listen to me. You are going to be placed in handcuffs. I don't have an option. >> You understand that? >> That's it. We're kind of We're past that point right now. Okay. I have to put you in unccuffed. >> Okay. >> So, we stop. >> Stop. >> Please. Please. Please, sir. Please. I'm not a >> It doesn't matter. >> Please, sir. Please, sir. [crying] >> Okay. Do you want this to go Do you want this to go faster or are we just going to make this go a lot longer? >> You want this to go fast? You want to get this over with and everything? Okay. We have a process that we have to go through. Okay. >> I have to put you in handcuffs. [crying] >> No. No. Please. >> You're going to be placed under arrest for for retail theft. >> No. [laughter] >> She continued making a scene, but she really couldn't help but wonder if it was all just an act. She was crying real tears after all. But it was a lot more likely she was upset because she'd been called. >> Okay, I understand you're sorry. Okay, I understand that. We're kind of past that point right now. Okay. You're going to be arrested. >> No, sir. No. No, sir. Please. >> It's not going to change. It's not going to change. >> No, sir. Please. No. No. No. Can you talk my husband? >> I can't. Your husband has nothing to do with this. Okay. You're you're you're an adult. Okay. Your husband has absolutely nothing to do with this. >> No. No, sir. Please. No. Arrest me, sir. Please. No. No. Please. Please. Worry. Please, sir. >> It's not going to work. There's nothing I can do. >> No, sir. Sorry. Please, please, sir. >> Okay. Well, we could get this over with or we could just keep doing this all day. What would you rather do? >> No, no, no, no, sir. Not my I buy something some here, but not. Sorry. I forgot my husband. Talk to my husband. Sorry, sir. >> Okay. Well, it's too late. Okay. It's too late. I don't >> I pay for all stuff, please, sir. >> Okay. It's too late. It's too late. >> No, sir. Sorry. Please. >> It's too late. >> No, sir. Please >> stand up. >> Please. No. >> Turn around. >> No, sir. The cop here was being a lot more patient than he had to be. He'd ordered the woman to stand up and put her hands behind her back. And it was time for her to wrap up her dramatic performance as she was just delaying the inevitable. >> You're just prolonging this. Okay. I don't have an option. Nothing's going to change. It's going to happen. Nothing's going to change. Nothing's going to change. >> Okay. >> Sorry. Please. Please. >> It's not going to change. Okay. Turn around. Put your [laughter] [crying] >> Okay. Well, I have another officer coming here, so we'll just wait for her. Okay. >> I'm so sorry. [laughter] >> Can you talk to my husband? >> No, your husband has nothing to do with this. Your husband >> probably >> I can't I can't think. >> Sit down, ma'am. >> Sit. Please >> sit down. >> The officer explained to her that no amount of begging and pleading was going to change his mind. His job was to uphold the law, and she had clearly broken it. As a result, she'd have to face the consequences, and there was nothing that was going to change that, including begging the officer, bribing him, or talking to her husband. Quite literally, she just [music] couldn't take no for an answer. >> Your husband has nothing to do with this. >> He's no by for all stuff is no. And he's coming here. He's on the way. And he's coming here. Sir, please can you talk to her, please? Sir, sir, please. >> Can you come to the station to send a complaint? >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> She's going to call me. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Don't worry, >> sir. Please. >> I'll send him twice. What? >> You see camera? I'm not inside my pocket. Nothing else. >> Oh, man. >> What? >> An electric yeast is out the door. Sir, it's my house. What? Stop. Nothing else. >> Sir, please. >> Oh, I came from the service. We're good. >> I mean, we got [laughter] >> sir, so >> she literally just could not take no for an answer. The cop had told her roughly a dozen times now that she wasn't allowed to talk to her husband. Thankfully, another officer arrived on scene to help him deal with the suspect. >> All right. Uh, she's been placed into custody. >> Good. >> She had about it, but she's good. >> Okay. Well, there's nothing I could do about it. Okay. I just have to search you. Please. No, ma'am. No, ma'am. Please. No. No ma'am. Please. Please, ma'am. >> No, ma'am. Please. >> Well, there actions have consequences. So, stand up. I'm going to have to um 22 video 109 left. >> You have to cooperate with us. Okay. >> You have to make this easier for us. >> Okay. >> It looks better. Like I said, >> it's better if you cooperate. It is everything's recorded. So, if you cooperate with us, it might be better for you. Okay. So, stand up so I can search you. Okay. >> Either way, you're going so you have to cooperate with us. >> White undershirt. No, you cannot talk to your husband. >> Sadly, she was giving the cops no other choice but to put their hands on her, even if they had to use force. Clearly, she did not want to go to jail. But it was also clear that she shouldn't have been stealing. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> You're going to have to get up. >> You have to get up. You have to get up. >> Either way, you're going. >> You have to get up. You have to get up. >> All right. Come on. Get up. >> You have to get up. >> To the police station. >> You're going to be released from the police station. >> Okay. >> How long? >> A couple hours. >> Why? And then >> And then you're released. And then that's it. So the faster we do this, the faster you get out. >> With my husband, sir. >> What do you mean with your husband? >> My husband. I want my husband. You can't talk to your husband. You're under arrest. We're going to transport you to the police department, do some paperwork, and then you get released from the from the police department, and that's it. So, the faster we do this, the faster you can get out. >> And you can talk to your husband's station. Okay. So, that's all we're waiting on. Okay. Thank you. All right. Before they escorted the man out, the cops first had to get details about what had happened earlier, which prompted security staff to call police. >> Also, uh, what exactly happened today? >> Today, he came in. I didn't see exact time, but the moment I seen it, the coffee machine from the coffee machine, he went straight to, uh, to the aisle of aisle 20. You been arrested? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> What you been arrested for? No. >> The security staff at Shopright had noted that on multiple occasions they'd seen the man stealing the very same items. [music] There was a pretty good chance he was stealing the items and then reselling them. Next, he was led to a holding room where they [music] patted the man down and searched him. It's just olive oil. >> Stand up. Turn around. Put your hand on the wall. This >> Yep. >> Oh, it be the worst thing you ever did people. >> Yeah, I get it. I'm going to go and figure out what's going on with them if you guys want to hang out here. >> While the officer went in the store to speak to staff, the other officers called dispatch asking for one more officer who spoke Spanish. That being said, it was starting to look like the suspects didn't speak Spanish either. >> Is she in route here? She's going to Susex. Want me to call her here? >> Sus. >> We need her here for um translation. >> 304 from 30. Are you available in translation? Thank you. >> You got anything in your pockets? >> Nothing. >> Come here. You're being detained. >> Not under arrest right now. >> You understand? >> Not under arrest. Walk with me over here. We'll get you in the back of my car. Upon further investigation, the cops found out that she and her accompllices were all in the country illegally. Soon after, they all got charges after admitting to assisting in the crime. What starts as a routine shoplifting call can quickly turn into something else entirely. Once the cops uncover the full story, things went far beyond minor charges. And the body cam footage showed exactly how things unfolded when these shoplifterss, all in the country illegally, got busted and deported.
