Come on. Listen. Relax. Relax. Relax. >> Can't do that. Come on. Come on. >> Come on. >> I knew you were going to ride up to me and do this just like last time. Okay. You just last time. >> You just the it is. >> Here I come. Here I come. You better give up. You better give up. Taser. Taser. Taser. >> People work hard, so at the very least they can buy their basic necessities. But some people think they're entitled to free stuff. even things that are for sale. But law enforcement is always on the watch. So when they're caught in the act, these professional shoplifterss get immediate consequences. [Music] Guys, get off of me. Call the cops. >> Stop screaming. >> Guys, call the cops. On the 13th of August 2024 in Hoboken, New Jersey, a disturbance occurred at a local CVS. A man came in the pharmacy, stole a box of cereal, and then got aggressive when confronted by the manager. He then quickly fled the scene. >> You say anything? >> Yeah, I'm going to slap you. I'm going to slap you if you follow me. You know, I was keeping my distance. I'm going to slap you. And then he came up he came up to my face uh again turned me a couple times and then uh went and grabbed something and and left. That's when after I call you guys up. >> How you doing? >> Sorry. Come here. I got to speak. >> Okay. Thanks. >> Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. >> Yeah. Can I help you? >> Still here. Stay over here. >> For what? >> Stand over here. >> For what? >> Can I help you? >> Yeah. Stand over here. >> For what? >> Where were you just now? uh walking down the sidewalk. >> The man in question matched the picture and description the CVS manager had given police. He tried to put up an overconfident attitude in an attempt to make police think he was innocent. >> All right, let me just see you. >> Why? Because because we we just got a call of not seeing >> CVS shoes. >> Okay. >> I don't have shoes. >> Okay, man. >> Can you stay over here? >> How can I help you? >> Stand over here. >> I already stood over there. >> Okay, my man. >> Yes. Yes. Let me see the jacket. >> Let me see the jacket. >> What do you want from my jacket? >> Let me see the jacket. What's underneath the jacket? >> I'm having a jacket. >> Food. >> Food? >> From where? >> From where? >> Let me see. >> From New York. >> Underneath the man's jacket was an unusual looking rectangular item, which the cops suspected was the stolen cereal box. The man's hostile and confrontational attitude pretty much proved he was hiding something. >> All right. You under what? >> You're under arrest. For shoplifting. >> For shoplift. For what? I didn't shoplift, sir. >> Sir, I didn't shoplift, >> sir. I didn't shoplift. Listen. Didn't shop list. Didn't shoplift. >> I didn't shop list. >> Sir, I didn't shop. >> What is this for? What is this for? >> I know. I didn't shop. I just told you. Why are you >> Yo, my guy. Why are you >> Excuse me. You might want to take your hands off. Jesus Christ. >> Why are you doing this? >> Hey, my man. >> Comply with what? >> Bring your hand behind your back. >> The man continued disobeying the cop's commands and was rolling around on the ground trying to wiggle out of the handcuffs, which would likely earn him an additional charge. Then the man began shouting for help, probably in an effort to make himself look like a victim of police brutality. Call the >> All right. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops. >> Get the >> Okay, let's do it. >> Call the cops. >> Hold on. >> Call the cops. All the cops. Call the cops. >> I got it. >> Excuse me. Call the cops. >> I got it. >> Call the cops, bro. >> You smash my face. >> Get your hand out. Smash my face. >> All right. Get your hand out from under me. Yo, >> get your hand out from underneath. >> I can't. >> You got to get off me. >> Move your hand off. >> Get off me. >> Dude. >> Yeah. >> Un lock >> your hand. Get off you. >> No. >> I'm not getting off you. >> Guys, somebody call the cops. >> Yeah, let's call. >> Somebody call the cops, please. >> I'm in. Bring your hand behind. >> Call the cops. Guys, call the cops. >> And get these people off me immediately, please. And thank you. There we go. >> Guys, call the cops. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops, bro. >> The man continued yelling at bystanders to call the police, despite the fact that already there were five cops there that he was refusing to listen to. He was acting like a victim and accused the officers of being the ones committing a crime. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops. >> I got it on. He's not >> Call the cops. These guys are molesting, harassing, and everything. Me. Thank you. Call the cops. >> Go to jail forever. Thank you. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops. [Music] >> Call the cops. Call the cops. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops. Guys, call the cop. >> I got him. >> Yo, guys. Get off me. Get off me. Get off me. >> Get off me. >> Stop resisting. >> Get off me. I'm not resisting. Get off me. >> Please get off me, bro. >> Bro, get off me. >> All right, >> bro. Get off me, please. >> All right, my man. >> Get the off me, please. >> The irony is that he kept saying he wasn't resisting while actively resisting. It was obvious to the cops that the man's public meltdown was all just a show so he could avoid taking any responsibility for shoplifting. When he saw more squad cars and more cops arrive on scene, he got even more unhinged. >> Holy. Get off of me. >> Bro, get off of me. Holy. Call the cops. >> Bro, call the cops, bro. >> No. Call the cops, bro. Get off me, bro. >> Oh my god. Bro, I need you off me. Call the cops, please. Get it off of me, bro. >> Bro, get off of me. >> You got that camera that, >> bro. >> Who's got it? >> No, I can't, bro. Oh my god, >> bro. Get off me, guys. Get off of me. >> Get off me, guys. >> Screaming at police officers to get off you has never worked as a method for avoiding arrest. The man continued having a full-blown tantrum. He dropped to the ground again, planted his feet hard against the concrete to try and avoid being carried to the car. >> Can't see that. >> I can't call the cops, >> bro. Relax. Okay, >> guys. Get off of me. Call the guys. >> Stop shooting. >> Guys, call the cops. >> Call the cops. >> Oh my god. I get these guys are cops. Call the real cops. They're hurting me. >> What's your name? >> Call the cops. >> What's your What's your name? >> Call the cops. Get the off me. >> What's your name? >> Call the cops. >> What's your name, bud? >> Call the cops, guys. You guys both like cops. Get the cops. Call the cops. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops. You guys are cops. >> Cops, guys. Call the cops. >> Ow. My leg. Guys, call the cops. Guys, call the cops, man. >> The man failed to realize that the reason why the people around him looked like police was that they actually were. But getting this guy in the cop car proved almost as difficult as arresting him. >> Got to call the cops. >> Oh my god. Sir. Sir. >> Sit up, >> sir. I can't. >> I can't. >> Relax. >> I can't stand. Oh my god, bro. >> Bro, I can't. Every time you I so can't >> I cannot every single time. >> Oh my god. Look at you still going, bro. >> Can you listen to him, please? >> Bro, >> I can't do you doing that bull. Call the cops, please. >> Oh my god, man. Call the cops. >> Yeah, call the cops, man. Oh my god, man. What the are you doing? >> Oh, wow. It's great. >> Guys, call the cops, please. And thank you. >> You good? >> You all right? >> I give you a shot, please. >> All right. So, no one wants that one in custody. Anybody? >> Yes. >> Cut the door. Cut the door. People. >> I know. Cuz the cops. >> Call the cops. >> Don't do that. Don't do that. >> Call the cops. >> Call the cops, man. >> Call the cops. >> And you. So, call the cops. The man was finally secured and was driven to the jail house. The man really seemed willing to do anything to fight for his cereal, which regardless, he'll never get the chance to eat. Even after arriving at the jail house, he kept up his fake act of disbelief. >> Okay. Where? Inside or outside? >> Inside. >> Okay. Why are they coming outside? >> They're coming inside. Guys, call the cops. >> Guys, call the cops. Call the cops. Thank you. >> Why you pushing me, sir? Okay. >> Nice and easy, >> right? >> Nice and easy. >> Call the cops, please and thank you. >> Right there. >> No, I get it. He's a working cop. I get it. >> Sir, call the cops. Thank >> they move this loud and unruly man through the jail and into a holding cell. With his hands restrained, he then devised other methods to show his serious hatred for the officers. >> Bro, get your head off my face. >> You just spit on my face. >> Yeah. Did any spit fly out of my mouth? Dumb. >> Call the cops. Thank you. >> Take your hand off my head, my guy. >> Hey, why is this hand on my head? >> Okay, so stop doing that. >> Why are you doing that? >> Relax. >> No, you're not. Get your hands up and face the face the wall. That's it. Cut it out. Ready? >> Cut one out. >> Act like a child. >> No, you are, my guy. So, you take your hands off me as soon as you're ready. >> Yeah. >> You guys done pushing me? >> Take a take a deep breath, >> bro. Stop pushing me, though. No one's pushing you. >> Yes, you are. You're still pushing me. >> Okay. So, are you done then? >> Okay. Are you done? Relax. >> Am I done with, >> bro? Now you're pushing me again. >> No, I'm not. >> I am. You are, bro. Okay. You're pushing me against the wall >> and you're saying no one's pushing me. >> No one's pushing me. >> Yes, you are. >> Set him down. Sit down. >> We're going to keep his hands behind. >> Oh, the cuff. >> Stop. Sit down. >> Stop. What? >> Sit down. >> Can you stop? >> Sit down, >> bro. Can you stop? All right, just sit down. >> I will as soon as you stop. >> The serial thief was charged with retail theft, disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, and resisting arrest. On the 11th of January, 2025, a 7-Eleven employee called police claiming a man was back that they trespassed a year earlier. He was trying to steal things, and when the cops showed up, he was definitely not happy. >> You're not listening to music. >> Listening to the music? I have music playing right now. I actually what I was saying was that I knew you were going to ride up to me and do this just like last time. Okay. You just watch. You just That's what the it is. It's on the same exact day last year. It's on the same exact day. Well, I'm eating right now. You're going to have to wait till I'm done eating. You feel me? You just watched me the whole entire time. And that's what I was saying that you're going to do. You feel me? I just said all of that. Everything that I just said. >> Give me a minute. Give me one minute. The man's defensive and entitled attitude was just a tactic to deflect blame from himself onto someone else. Last time he'd been trespassed for theft, and for some reason, he thought it was a good idea to try and steal from the same store again. The officer had zero patience for his nonsense. >> That's it. It's over with. Don't touch me. It's over with. County 837. >> Get off me. >> I had get off. Get off me. Get the off. >> 307. The officer immediately took control of the situation and radioed for backup. The cop had to physically sit on the man to stop what could quickly turn into a violent struggle. With a combative suspect who didn't appear to be in his right mind, things can quickly get ugly. >> Suck my >> Hey yo, chill out. >> Heyo. >> Suck my pig. >> Suck my pig. Chill. Turn over >> pe mother. Chill. >> Hey. Hey. My man. >> Get up. >> Stop resisting. >> Turn over. >> Go ahead. >> You just touched me for no reason. >> Stop resisting for no reason. >> Hey yo, >> get the chill. >> Get off me. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Get off me. I'm seeing this. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> Get off of me. >> That's the backup. C. Get off me. >> Stop. >> Get off of me. >> Just stop. >> Get off of me. >> A bystander tried to convince the man that by fighting with the cop, he was only making his life worse. But that didn't seem to stop the man from continuing to hurl vile remarks and thrashing around on the concrete. Finally, backup arrived to help subdue the combative suspect. Get off. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> I get your back. >> Give me yours, bro. >> I hit my jacket. >> Mother, >> you saw the way he was hitting me. >> You saw the way you were hitting me. Yeah. >> Yeah. You saw the way he was, right? >> All right. Come on. Stand up. >> It's crazy. >> Stand up. >> Really a pig, mother. Really a pig. You a pig. You a pig for that. >> At last, he was successfully placed in the back of the squad car. On the way to jail, the man continued insulting the officer and accused law enforcement of harassment. It's unfortunate the man created this entire situation over noodles. >> Why the [ __ ] do you people keep doing this to me? You hurt me. Where is B you mean? [ __ ] [ __ ] pig mother. Suck my me. I ever catch you with your bad stretchy me. >> You have to just touch me like that. >> You just did stupid. >> Yo, you really up for that guy? You really a pig, bro. >> You up for that. You really aed up pig, my you up. Give me the hardest hand came off my shoes. >> I'll get it. I'll get it. >> Get it from me. You up for that, guy. You ain't have to touch me like that. Fine. And I'm tired of people violating me, dog. >> The man was handcuffed and walking into jail. But he was still demanding the cops do things for him. This guy needs a serious lesson in humility. If you don't want to deal with the cops, then don't shoplift. It's that simple. That's what you get, right? Get suck my real name. You have to touch me like that. >> Do you need an Listen, do you need an ambulance? >> No, I don't you >> do you need an ambulance? >> I don't. >> Do you need an ambulance? >> I don't need nothing from you. >> Nothing. Nothing. I want your supervisors and I want your bolts. Break the ass. >> From career shoplifter to professional Karen. They charged the man with criminal trespassing, shoplifting, resisting arrest, and assault on an officer. On June 22nd, 2022, in coming, Georgia, an employee working at the designer shoe warehouse called police about a shoplifting in progress. By the time police arrived, the thief had already left. But thankfully the store had security footage. >> There's I'm 5'5, >> right? White or black male? >> Black. >> Black male. >> Black male. Gray shirt with a hat. >> I'm going to say you can't really see a whole lot of his face. >> Just Yeah, just generic. So, black male. >> What color was the hat? Get a hat on. What's that? A gray shirt. >> Gray shirt. Black hat. >> And what are those? Jeans. I don't think it's jeans. They were like splotchier pants. I don't know if they were athletic, but they're like pants. >> Unfortunately though, there was a security camera at the door, but not inside the store. So, the actual act of shoplifting wasn't captured on video. The cop needed evidence to prove the shoplifter knowingly passed all points of sale. >> Okay. So, he's got two in his hand and there's at least three in here. >> Gotcha. >> So, how would you cuz you can't really see the brands, but >> Yeah. We'll see if we can recover the merchandise. >> Okay. So, do how do I need to show that he didn't go to the register? >> You have any >> changing the display? >> Yeah. What interior cameras you have? >> No, not >> that's it. >> Okay. >> So, all I would be able to do is burn everything from this time to this time and show that he doesn't go to the register. >> Okay. That Yeah, that'll work. That's It's pretty he for less than 10 minutes. Like 15 minutes. >> Yeah. >> The officer got a signed statement from the store manager and then moved outside to talk to the security officer who the store had contacted as soon as they figured out the thief was stealing. >> What happened? So, did DSD did they call you? >> Yeah, they called me. >> Okay. >> They told me to come over. So, I drove over. I saw him come out >> and I saw him put the stuff in the >> Did you All right. So DST called you in regards to shoplift and you responded when you got to DW. Did you see him leaving the store? >> I saw he just kept walking. I saw he kept on >> on the phone. >> Uhhuh. And then when he saw you guys, he started walking back here and got started running towards me. >> So when he was >> So um you didn't see him move the store though, right? You just saw him like just walking. >> Yeah, just like that direction. >> So he was coming from the direction. Did he have items in his hand at the time? >> Just his phone >> that But he had items also. >> Yeah. >> His phone in the bag. Okay. And then from there, what happened? The security officer said the man ran outside where he then confronted him and tried to block the suspect from running away. However, the shoplifter took this situation to a much more dangerous level, enabling the man to get away. >> He said, "Don't touch me." He pointed the pistol at me. >> He did point it at you. >> Yeah, he went like this. >> Okay. Okay. All right. You said you saw him put the items in his truck. Yeah. >> When did that happen? Uh, I was on the phone. >> So when they called you, you saw him at his truck or you saw him leave first? >> At the truck. >> At the truck putting stuff in the truck. >> Yeah. >> He wasn't He wasn't at the truck yet. He was just like walking. I didn't see the door close behind him, but he was just like coming out when I saw it. >> So he was coming from the truck. >> Yeah. He was heading towards the truck. So I saw him open the door, put it in. >> Uhhuh. >> And then he got on his phone like he was chill and he was like walking. >> All right. So that's what happened. So, like you responded to the area, you saw him at the vehicle putting items in the vehicle. >> Yes, sir. >> The fact that the suspect might be armed was critical information to know because not far from there, another officer was closing in on a man that matched the suspect's description. >> Stop. Stop. >> He's taking off on foot. Can you see if they want to prosecute radio? He's running towards the fence line. Here I come. Here I come. You better give up. You better give up. Taser. Taser. Taser. >> The suspect ran down the sidewalk, turned a corner, and dropped his weapon along the way. The cop was in pursuit, running full speed, and he then took out his taser, bracing himself for a possible physical confrontation. He >> dropped his gun. Running towards home this week. I got more guys coming. You better stop. I got more guys coming. >> Where's the hotel? There's the hotel. >> Made a right towards the entrance to Ronald Reagan. The officer then saw the suspect run towards a nearby hotel, then radioed back up, updating them on his new location. He was worried the man might harm people nearby, so he continued chasing him. Rogan to Rogan. Crossing on a ra towards the wood line. In the wood line. Give me a K9. Hey man, just give up. >> Just give up, buddy. I got canines coming. Just give up. >> The officer ran through a dense forest and backup officers rushed to the scene with a canine. They yelled out to the man that a dog was present and gave him one last chance to surrender. But the man continued playing hideand seek. >> Here comes the dog. Here it comes. Give up now. Get out. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Hands behind your back. hand behind your back. >> Get off of my head. Sorry, sir. My wife is on the phone. Oh, my wife. >> Additional officers burst on the scene and helped detain the man who was later identified as Derek Johnson. The taser may have helped subdue the man, but he refused to admit his wrongdoing and tried to pretend like he was innocent. But an innocent person has no reason at all to run away like that. >> What's going on, sir? You're under arrest. What happened? What am I doing, sir? How am I doing? What am I doing? How am I doing? >> How am I doing? >> What am I doing? >> You're under arrest. >> For what? >> For shoplifting, obstruction of law enforcement, officer, >> sir. >> Yes, >> sir. How do I shoplift? >> All right. We're going to help you up, but we're going to search and make sure you don't got weapons on you. Okay. >> Okay. >> You got anything else on you? >> No, sir. >> All right. We're going to lift you up. 1 2 3 now, sir. >> Huh? I ain't do nothing. You didn't do nothing. >> No, sir. >> Go get your cook off front, didn't you? >> Yes. >> 524. If you when you get here, you'll go parked at the behind the silver for >> Hey, I need someone to recover the firearm. >> I thought he's got it. He's got it. >> Oh, he's got it. >> The gun Derek dropped, which he had threatened the security guard with, was found to be a BB gun. But when the cops confronted him about the weapon, he said he had no idea what they were talking about. >> Did they gun you through? >> Yeah. Through. >> Oh, yeah. >> Got you on camera, buddy. >> All right. I got my tool with the other one still stuck in. >> Uh, yeah. Get your tool. >> I know, but he's got to get this off of you. Oh, there we go. Just stop moving, please, for me. >> All right. There you go. >> Back at the DW store, the cops were notified that another person took the truck full of stolen items and drove off with it, which led the cops to believe that Derek had an accomplice. >> Somebody with the truck. >> Someone's got it. >> Yeah, it's gone. >> Okay, >> truck's gone. >> So, What's that, buddy? >> Was your wife or one up here in the truck? >> Okay. Who was driving the truck? >> What's that? >> All right. So, I'm I'm going to read you something called your Miranda rights. Do you understand each of these rights? Have I explained to you? >> Do you understand what I said to you? >> Yes. Derek was exhausted from running and probably from that taser shot as well. The cops gave him time to recover and offered him water. Since he was giving them no information, one of the cops decided to pick up his ringing cell phone. It was Derrick's wife. >> Hey, this is Kevin P with the sheriff's office. Hey. Hey. Good. Um, your husband's under arrest. Uh, he stole from a store and then he ran from the police. Well, let me get his information for because he's not cooperating with us. What's his last name? >> No, not until I get his his information. What's his last name? >> Bye. >> It seemed like Dererick's wife didn't want to cooperate either. The cops tried to get his date of birth, but he refused to give them that as well. Derek claimed that he couldn't think straight because he was on medication and that he didn't want to give the officer the wrong information. >> Come on, buddy. Let's come on back out. >> I don't want to tell you the wrong thing, sir. >> Come on. >> Let's go. Let's step out. >> All right. >> Thank you. >> Okay. All right. >> I want to tell you the wrong thing, sir. >> We don't have his his information. >> I want to get the right >> Come on out, buddy. >> Information. >> Yeah, we'll take care of that. The other jail. >> I've been drinking a little bit. >> I don't want to tell you. >> Okay. Well, come on out for me here, Mr. Johnson. >> As it turns out, Derek gave the cops a false name and date of birth. He was taken to Foresight County Jail and charged with simple assault, shoplifting, obstruction, and giving false information to law enforcement. On December 29th, 2024, police were called to a Home Depot after a woman tried to steal things but had been caught. She was detained in the back office with the store manager. >> Hello. got shoplifted. Um, >> this is the info that she gave me. I don't know if any of this is >> We can confirm it. >> How much was it? >> Uh, it was uh $115 and I call cuz I need her ID and she don't got ID. >> All right. What's your plan? Do you want >> uh No, we're not going to do but she is going to be trespass. >> All right. All right. I I will take this. Um I'll go confirm it and then I'll bring the trespass form. The officer went to verify the woman's identity and what started as simply a trespass case quickly became much more complicated when the officer returned to the office with new information. >> I think I know who it is. >> I think it's Tamrella. >> Is it Tamrella? >> I think it is. That's why she won't lower. I think >> she's about to be locked up. >> Oh man. >> Listen, you're about to be locked up for Hindering. So, as soon as countywide tells me that you're not who you say you are, you're going to be in cuffs. >> I didn't do anything. >> You're hindered. >> I have I have co >> I'm waiting for countywide to confirm >> I have >> and then we're going to lock you up for hindering. >> Why? I have co >> because you provided a false name. >> What? >> Tamara, listen. You see me all the time at Red Roof. I've been cool with you. I I don't trespass you from there even though I can. And I come here and you lie. I haven't been on here at all. >> Tamrellella seemed to have a reputation for being pretty well known around town. At that point, the manager changed his mind and decided he did want to press charges because she'd already been trespassed from the store and had lied to him. >> Listen, just come clean, okay? Please. >> Can you just put your mask down? >> I'm coming. >> All right. Can you just put your mask down? It doesn't mean you got to talk. Just put your mask down. >> I have a receipt. >> I do have a seat. >> Tamala, put your mask down or I'm going to put it down. >> Am I going to jail? >> You're going to be locked up for Hinder. Yes. >> Why? >> Because you provided a false name. >> She insinuated that she lied because she didn't want to go to jail. She also claimed she had a receipt for her items totaling $1.95, but she could not provide said receipt >> because you hinder. So, we have to put you in custody. We're on body cam. >> Watch. >> I'm not watching nothing. I'm going to watch you stand up and put your hands behind your back. >> You can't finish. >> No. >> Please. No. Can you please finish? >> Yeah, I got it. >> Go ahead. >> You know how my anxiety is. >> I get it. And that's why I'm here to try to dance. >> So, okay. So, then if everything I guess reputes or whatever like whatever the situation is, can I just my life? >> No. I'm talking. >> Is there anything? Is there any way we can go down? >> All right. Just stay under you're going to be placed under arrest for hindering. >> No, I'm I'm trying to ask you a question, though. That's the thing. I'm trying to ask you a question. >> All right. Go ahead. >> Is there any way you can avoid going down to the station? >> No. >> Why? >> Avoid I I can't hear. Avoid what? >> Is there any way you can avoid going down to the station? Like, you know how my anxiety is. >> You don't get a get out of jail free card just for having anxiety. If she really wanted to avoid going to jail, then she shouldn't have shoplifted. And she then had the audacity to try to debate the terms of her arrest. >> I'm going to sit where >> in the back of his car. That's it. >> Should I just sit here? You know, >> Tamala, I get it. It's our policy. We'll double handcuff you this way or not? >> In the front? >> No, I know. >> Tamala, we can't do it in the front. You know how many times I could have arrested you at Red Roof? I I didn't. So, stand up. We don't have a choice. >> Stand up. But we do have a choice here. >> Stand up or we're going to stand you up. >> Please don't do that. >> Hello. Just let you know. Um I'm going to do these. >> Don't go reaching in your Don't go reaching. >> I'm trying to make sure I get my daughter, bro. >> How do I know you? As things stood, she was already getting special treatment, but she refused to comply with the officer's commands and instead decided to use this time to continue talking on the phone. And when the cops finally decided to make a move to detain her, that's when the meltdown happened. >> She's trying to hide something. >> No, I'm not. Please get off. >> We need more units. >> No, you don't. You need a force. Please stop. Please stop. No. Please stop. Please stop. We need more units. I don't need to go now. >> Get on the ground. >> Get the ground. Stop resisting. I'm not resisting. Ow. Trella refused to move her arms from under her body and continued screaming and thrashing around on the floor. They gave her plenty of opportunities to do things the easy way, but she just had to make things difficult. [Applause] Help! [Applause] Help! Help! I'm pregnant. Stop! >> Stop! >> Look, roll on your side. >> What are you doing? >> Relax. >> What do you mean relax? >> Set her up. Set her The cops secured her in handcuffs and then began the process of searching her personal items before transport. Moments earlier, she'd been digging through her bag. And when they opened the bag up, they discovered what she was trying to hide. >> What's in there? >> No. >> That is um >> No. >> Yeah. >> No, I use that. >> What's the white residue? What's the control with white? for my art and crafts. >> Come on, knock it off. >> What is you talking about? My name is >> That is legit for art and crafts. Just stop. Just stop. Like that's crafty. >> I won't let you >> resisting. >> No. >> Shoplifting. >> Trespassing. >> Hindering. >> Criminal trespassing. >> I wasn't resisting anymore. >> Tamala. This could have just been >> But I wasn't resisting. >> This could have literally been >> I was trying to talk to you. >> Obstruction, too, cuz she didn't listen to. >> Yes, I was. >> No, you wasn't. How? Okay, that's improper grammar. That was very improper. >> I apologize. Okay, I I I think that's your worries right now. >> The store manager said that last year she'd been trespassed from his store and she then tried to steal from another Home Depot in another area when she was caught stealing there. She also used a false name. She was apparently a seasoned shoplifter, but not a very good one. >> Hands on body cam. >> And the thing is I was trying to talk to you. >> You were you were trying to talk to somebody. >> No, I wasn't. I was talking to you. And you know I >> you were you were calling me >> on the phone. >> I had the phone next to me in my ear. Yes, I did. I was calling him trying to figure out a way to be responsible and go down the station. What I said and I said that >> since Tamrella claimed the cops used excessive force. The cops had to call paramedics. After being medically cleared, she was charged with obstruction of justice, hindering identity, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, shoplifting, and possession of drug paraphernalia. On December 15th, 2024, police were called to a target when a previously trespassed male entered the store. When the police arrived on scene, the store manager said the man had been in the store for about 20 minutes in the electronic section. But we've had multiple guests complaining about him because they were watching him like eat food over >> and then when I walked up he had food in his mouth and I told him that he didn't need to be doing that and I needed to leave. >> He looks like I've never seen this busy. What's going on right now? >> Yeah, it usually gets about this busy kind of closer to everybody's getting their last >> That's true. >> What's up my man? How you doing? >> Hey, cool. Can you get your hands in your pockets while I talk to you? >> Hey, cool. Okay. So, the reason I'm contacting you, man, is they advised you to leave. You never left. >> Um, >> they told me to leave. >> Yeah. >> Who said that? >> The the the law register officer. >> I told you after >> after you were eating your food. You know what I mean? So, if you said, "Hey, hey, just while we talk, just don't stick your hands in the pocket for me." Okay. >> All right. >> So, uh, so yeah. So, it looks like, you know, >> she I didn't hear she asked me to be. >> Okay. I understand that. But they also you also got to understand, man, that you can't be opening their products and eating, right? Yeah, >> I understand if you said you were going to pay for him, but >> did you are you paying for them? >> Yeah, I I ate some and then I left out of there, then I just came walking over here by the side. >> Well, I feel you today. You got an ID with you, man? >> The suspect claimed to have no ID and went on looking at the merchandise even though the cop just told him that he had to leave. Then the man tried to walk away from the officer. >> Hey, come with me, dude. Hey, >> I appreciate I I'll hit Hey, sir, you're walking with me. We're leaving right now. >> Yeah, I'm leaving. >> No, we're leaving. You're getting trespassed. >> Huh? >> So, I before you leave, I got to get your I got to get your name because you're getting trespassed from here. >> Okay. Mind again, just don't take your hand your block before we talk. Okay. So, we're walking out walking out to my car. >> Yeah, we're walking out to my car. This way over here. My car's on the left. You good? >> No. No. You got to go to my car. >> I don't have to go to your car. Who said that? >> I did. Cuz you're under I trespasser. Huh? >> You're trespassing. >> All right, bro. Hey, one of the two, bro. >> What you want to do? >> Suddenly, the man got extremely aggressive and squared up against the officer, inviting him to fight. The officer was not going to be intimidated, and he took his taser out from his belt. >> What's up? What are you doing? >> Let's go, bro. You want to go? Get on, bro. Get on the ground now. >> Radio 366. You can send me another one. Hey, I'm not I'm not going to fight with you. Hey, you're not free to go. >> You're not free to go. >> You're going to give me co and start fast. Hey, get on the ground now. >> I'm not playing with you, bro. >> Shut up. >> Get on the ground. >> What's up with me? >> Drop it. Let's go. >> What you going to do? >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground. We're going to be in front of Cole's. Hey, say get on the ground >> now. Get on the ground. >> What's up? >> Well, let's face let's face up. >> We're going to be here in the parking lot. >> The flag. What's up? >> Let's go. >> No. Get on the ground. >> Put your up. >> Get on the ground now. The man refused to stop and was ignoring the officer's commands. The cop called for backup. Realizing this guy, a professional shoplifter, was keen on getting some additional charges. The man continued walking, leading the officer through the parking lot. >> I'm not playing with you. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground. >> 66. >> We'll be walking towards Kenny towards T-Mobile. Still refusing to stop. Once you get a second, we'll go hands on. Hit on the ground. >> You want to go down? Let's go. Hit on the ground now. I'm not playing around, bro. >> Stop with me, boy. I'm not playing. >> I'm not playing around. Let's go. >> Let's go. >> You're all talking brave. Let's go. Come on. >> Where? >> Right here. >> Serious. What? We walking towards Michael's. Hey, I told you to stop. How many times am I going to tell you? >> The man continued with his threats and was walking in the middle of the street, nearly running into vehicles. Backup quickly arrived and they approached the man from both sides in an effort to trap him. >> I told you to stop. >> Back up. Back up. >> Get on ground now. Go. Come on. >> What's up with >> Let's go. >> Let's go. I'm right here. >> I told you to get on the ground now. >> Hey, tell him to back up. >> Get on the ground now. He's just a security. >> Get on the ground now. >> He's just >> Get on the ground now. >> Just sit down. Sit on your butt. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground, bro. >> I'm on the ground. >> Dude, you quit your dude. It' be sad if at least if not instruction or not. Uh identify himself. Nope. >> So, >> anything from us? >> No. Appreciate you guys coming out. I saw the video. >> She's a little scared, but it's not like >> he like opened some Pringles >> and then just started eating them. >> Okay. >> And the beef jerky is right here. So, it's entirely possible that he had already opened it. >> Um, >> okay. >> And I can check. I'll go back over there and look cuz he pretty much like as he was eating he was just leaving the packages like everywhere. >> The store manager figured the man was probably intoxicated. He could have just left the store like the manager asked, but instead he racked up multiple charges. On July 15th, 2024, police were called to the scene of a shoplifting incident. The thief here was immediately combative and aggressively denied that she'd done anything wrong. >> My camera's activating. You're not leaving. >> Activate the camera. I don't give a [ __ ] >> Yeah, >> cuz he's hella weird. I don't care. >> Okay. >> So, you need to do what you got to do. >> All right. You're not leaving. >> Do what you got to do. >> You're not leaving. >> Do what you got to do. >> Okay. >> Do what you got to do. Cuz I mean I am cuz I told him I was going to get money for it. He said no. So then I'm not going to do it. >> I'm not going to do it. So if we going to do whatever we going to do, we going we going to fight it out till the end of the situation worse. >> He's weird. No, I'm not staying here for that. Y'all always go like fight all this [ __ ] It's not that serious. Like what the even he know that >> there weren't five cops there. There was only one. The woman was saying that every time she gets in trouble, the cops call for backup and bring about five officers. She's pretty much confessing that she routinely gets in trouble and escalates things. >> Yo, you're weird. I just suck the out you. >> He weird. I said I'll give you the money for it. >> He said I said I'll give you the money. I'm glad I did my kids. I did. I told I got out you back at your I said I did and you said no here I said I get so if you want to fight about it we can do that I don't give a this I need I'm about to so give me for assault too give me for that too make sure I do that so I can before I go you [ __ ] he's hell weird he know that you going to come back do what you do >> how much does she owe Listen, let me speak to him. >> The woman then took a fighting stance and was inching closer and closer to the innocent employee, who in turn stepped away as he tried to deescalate things. The cop was worried that she might hurt the man, so he jumped in. Hey, >> now you're under arrest. >> Take a fighting stance on me. >> Stop resisting. >> Wait, let me go. Let me go. >> That's not No, you're not going to hit this. You're not going to hit this. >> You're going to go to I swear to God. That would just tell us that wasn't right. >> Another thing that wasn't right was the way she threatened that innocent employee. The officer then discovered that she'd walked out of a restaurant without paying the bill. While searching her bag, the cops found a Hennessy bottle and some incriminating evidence. here right now. >> Faced with solid evidence, the suspect, Tarnisha, finally admitted that she had not only walked out on the bill, but had also stolen property from the restaurant. But then, one of the officers suddenly recognized her. Girl, I thought we have CVS today. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I thought you were leaving town. >> They parked up. >> Did I tell you not to steal? Do you want me to work? >> Yeah. >> Thank you, Justin. >> You didn't get the whole story. >> What happened to your >> She was another drink. I just went to the kitchen. I turned her around. I tried to find a scare in the table. She disappeared. So, it just broke. Did she pay for any of it? >> Nothing. Since I was wait, >> how did she get to the >> No, she asked for two everything, but she's trying to ask her for another she wants me both of the kitchen as soon as I see it with me. The cops told the woman they'd given her previous chances because she promised to stop stealing, but obviously she could not keep her promise. She claimed she was visiting the area and had been staying at the Red Roof Inn for 2 weeks. >> You know, dress to like put the clothes on like you know how people change into like you guys' outfit. >> Oh, like a prison uniform. >> Do you think I have to do that? >> Uh, not not at our out here in jail. >> Have you been arrested before? >> In California. Did they make you do that? >> It depends what you did. >> Well, you did. Yeah. Um, so >> longer there, too. >> You were You held longer. >> I was there for like 3 days. >> Okay. Well, you're not going to be in our custody where you'll have to change clothes or anything like that for 3 days pretty much. We're going to go you're going to be charged. Uh, it seems like a theft and and the resisting. And then you're going to get a score. It's uh dependent on your prior criminal history. So, if you never got arrested in Jersey before, I'm assuming it'll be pretty low. And if it's under a certain if it's under a certain number, you go home with a court date. And if it's over a certain number, you go to the county jail where that's where they'll make you. >> Okay. But if I ever went to jail, I should be okay. >> Yeah, you should be okay. >> She seemed more concerned about prison clothes and what she might have to wear in jail than she was about the crime she committed. Most likely the cops were not going to take too kindly to a visitor thinking she could steal from their residence. On the night of the 5th of May 2024 in Boon Beach, Florida, the cops were called to a Walmart due to a shoplifting incident. But it was not the work of a solo shoplifter. It was one big family affair. >> This one, this one, and this one. >> The blue and the gray. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. The LP officer now. Can I take those? Go with ma'am. Go with them. >> I was going to pay for my stuff, but No, I was just bothering her cuz she sitting up here with the thing over here. >> You get what I'm saying? You heard me. >> No, I was going to pay for my stuff, but she bothering me. >> Like her. >> I just the lady. So that's why I just said, "Let me go >> this." Yeah, she bothering me >> because she was stealing items. The employee definitely had good reason to bother her. There were a lot of women involved in this crime spree. So, the cops figured that it was a well planned operation. >> Let's go. We're going to the LP office. Come on. We're going to the LP office. Come on. >> We're going to the loss prevention. >> I didn't believe that the person that got this stuff is all about. >> Ma'am, I'm not asking your back. Go. Go. >> Not doing this. >> Go in there. >> Okay, sir. >> We're going to figure out what's going on. >> The main woman in the tie-dyed t-shirt, Sequoa, claimed she'd spoken to a sales employee about returning some large bins. But when the female officer investigated her claims, she was shown how the group had tried to steal many items. >> Oh, she bought all these bins full of stuff. >> Yeah, this one. This one full of stuff. That was um that was the other one. That one was the lady with the um with the I think that was her daughter or whatever. >> That's what was the daughter and the other two. >> She claims she returned these bins at customer service is what she's saying. >> No. >> Yeah. No, I see it. >> Sorry. >> Okay. >> The officer then returned to the loss prevention office to confront the thieves about the evidence. Sequoa had planned out an entire excuse as to why dozens of items were tucked away inside the bins. full of items. >> You know, I just got to the register. That's what I'm trying to let you know. But I was messing with her cuz she was she didn't let me get time to take the rest of >> this. [Music] Yeah, they're >> all in the LP office. All the stuff. No, I grabbed them. >> And then you get up for doing You're right. You're right, sir. I can't I can't do nothing. >> I can't I can't do I can't do nothing but respect it. >> No, I So they try to say I didn't go to the restaurant cuz I I went to the restaurant. >> I was ranking up. I got my money. That's what I was doing. >> She didn't even let me finish before she went. I'm like >> like what is you doing? >> These women would not accept any responsibility whatsoever. Based on the shopping cart items, the testimony of witnesses, and the security footage, the cops were now ready to read them their Miranda rights. >> Any statement we make can and will be used against you in the court of law. Do you guys understand? >> Okay. So, tell me what happened. >> Okay. Who want to go? >> I go first. >> I just moved. >> Okay. >> I'm just I'm telling you the truth. I just moved. I was getting me some belongings, some washing stuff cuz I have a whole bunch of clothes that I have to wash up, bathing stuff, my kids something to wear to school. I was I re switched out the bins because the bins that I had, they wasn't no good. They was messed up. I just had to return with my receipts. No store credit, no nothing. I did everything cuz I don't like bags. I just literally had got to there and she was like, "Oh, let me see." I'm like, "Wait, hold on, wait a minute. I'm not even finished. You know what? Instead of going through that, I'm going go to a register where they can just take out all my stuff and ring it up. She was making it seem like I'm trying to do something when I'm not. I was doing two separate transaction cuz I was going to do one with cash and one with my card. >> So, I went, they can see I went in stock. >> Sequoa claimed she had every intention of paying for her items and was just moving to another register. But what she didn't know is that the female officer had already looked at the video footage and knew that Sequoia had been walking towards the exit when she was stopped. >> I hadn't even finished even, you feel me, ranging up my stuff. I just walk to the thing. You get what I'm saying? >> No, you walk towards the >> No, I know. Me and her was arguing. So, I was doing like this basically bothering her. But I was paying for my I was going to pay for my Huh? >> The employee. >> Yeah, the people. >> Oh, okay. the employee. She >> the employee, she was basically when she came to me when I was ranging up I was going to do two tests. >> The cops were growing tired of her excuses as she tried to explain why she clearly had items hidden in the plastic bins. And when an employee told them what the total worth of the stolen items was, the cops decided that it was time for this family of thieves to face the consequences. Anybody going to go to county me? Okay. I take in. Okay. It is felony charges. All right. >> $729. >> I'm going to listen. >> I was ranking. >> Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Take off the your items cuz it's going to have to go with her. They don't take property over at >> that. You can ask the door. I'm just talking. >> They want to press charges. I can't do anything about that. Okay. >> So, you didn't see me ranking all my stuff. >> You got to talk to the judge about that. Okay. >> Turn around. >> Turn around. >> Okay. Can I get my >> Yeah, you're good. cuz I don't want you to >> Can I just um tell >> No, not right now. You can't call anybody, okay? Cuz you guys are under arrest. So, just place the phones right down here. Okay. >> I can take my call with >> you. The phones you can go with. >> The only person she's only 15. So, we need to have someone to come pick her up. >> I call my cousin. >> No, we got her mom's uh >> her mom is coming. That baby breast pump. I That is mine. I can't That's not part of it. >> That's what I'm saying. >> So, y'all didn't see me ranking up. >> Okay. Listen up. Stop. Stop. Ma'am, stop. We're done arguing. >> Listen. Stop. Because the thing about it is if you guys don't start cooperating, I'm going to throw charges for resisting. Okay? >> The cops continued arguing with them, and they were desperate to get out of trouble, even going so far as to break down crying in an attempt to gain sympathy from the officers. The store, however, was adamant that they wanted to press charges, and the cops had no choice but to arrest them. >> For real, I was just turn around. I didn't even pass. Come on. Listen. You got to relax. Relax. Relax. Can't do that. Come on. Come on. >> Come on. It's not that big of a deal. You go to court, you talk to them, it's going to be all right. Come on. >> Come on. No, ma'am. Relax. Relax. Stop ma'am. You got to chill out. You got to chill out. Come on. Come on, ma'am. Come on. >> Come on. >> Come on. >> Ma'am, >> you're really making this. >> Listen, ma'am. Get up. You can't. >> Sequoa dropped to the ground and became extremely emotionally unhinged. She was behaving like a toddler throwing a tantrum because they couldn't get their way. >> Listen to me. Hey, listen to me. Listen to me. This is what's going to happen. You're going to go to Listen. Listen to me for a second. You're going to go to jail for the night. You're going to have a bond and you can fight it in court. Okay? >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> What's that? >> You talk to the judge anymore. >> All right. Stay there longer. You're going to get resisting. >> We don't want more charges. Come on. >> Come on. >> Stand up. Resisting will stick. So, you need to get up. >> Stand up. Charge more. Get up. Come on. Let's go. Come on, >> man. If you don't stand up, I'm put the charges on. >> I can't. >> All right. We're going to do it together. One, two, three. Step up. >> Step up. >> All right. Come on. >> It don't matter. But they see me on my >> Just come on. Come on. >> Come on. It don't make no sense you do this because just making it worse than what it needs to be. I was paying for my stuff. >> It's all right. >> It's okay. It's all right. >> Take a seat. >> Sit down. Take a seat. Watch your head. >> Watch your head. You're going to need >> Come on. Just put your feet in. >> Put your feet in. >> The cops tried to calm Sequoia down by explaining to her that she was being charged, but of course not convicted of any crime yet. Because the total amount was so large, she was dealing with a felony charge. >> Of a felony charge. You're going to be going for it and then you just let him know. Hey, listen. I was felony >> and I paid for my item. >> Be nice. Get in the car. >> What's up? >> Get your leg in the car. Get your leg in the car. >> This is This is my >> I need you to step out. >> Come on. >> You want the fire department to come check you out? You want the fire department to check you out? >> Hey, >> ma'am. >> Come on. Wake up, >> ma'am. Come on. Come on. >> Wake up. >> Sit down. >> Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. >> Sit down. >> Sit down. 551theast. >> Come on. We need to get you up. Can you get up for me? Can we help you up? You having a panic attack? What's going on? Can you talk to me at all? >> The cops had no idea what exactly was going on. Was this really an emergency or was Sequoa just flexing her acting talents? She was unable or refused to speak, but she was just batting her eyes. You hearing me? >> Watch your head. Watch your head. >> Watch your head. You're going to You're going to hit your head on this. You don't want to do that. Put your leg there. Are you hearing me? Come on. [Music] >> Wake up. Can you get up for me? Can you get up for me? All right, let's get you up. Come on. Swing your feet around so we can help sit you up. Okay, swing your feet for me. Okay, >> sit on your foot. Sit on your butt. Okay. >> Sequoa and the other two women were charged with retail theft, resisting without violence, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Each of them faces up to 3 years in prison and a fine of up to $3,000. Professional shoplifterss will try any tactic whatsoever besides taking any responsibility. We hope these thieves learn their lesson and next time they'll bring up all their items. Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time.
