around 6 p.m. officer chendi is accompanied by Officer Timothy mitkin BAU responded to a shoplifting call inside a Westchester department store the officers were explicitly told that the alleged suspect they were after was a 30-year-old white male wearing a dark green gray car heart coat with a red hoodie beneath but instead watch who these officers detain hey B come talk to me yeah how you black male named Eric Lindsay who was dressed in an orange coat said we got a call help you follow with somebody okay say got a brown Jack on okay I walk in here sping this after you guys walk it I all you walk it so how could they see me get this on fil please that's again that's why we're here trying to figure it out so what do you want what do you want me to do if you have things what did department officer chenz was a trainee having been on the 10th day of his job while officer mitkin was his trainer officer Mr Lindsay filed a lawsuit against both of these officers that led to an internal investigation officer chenis was found to have neglected to Halt the interview despite knowing that the individual Lindsay was not the suspect particularly upon realizing he was black chenis admitted to internal investig ators that he refrained from stopping the questioning because he felt uneasy correcting his training officer minin ba as a consequence the Westchester Police Department issued administrative warnings to both officers for their policy violations and mandated them to undergo retraining on field interviews if you think this was the only discriminatory act done by the de Mo Police Department on July 15th 2018 officer th of accompanied by Officer Natalie heinan conducted a traffic stop on a car without any apparent reason the 23 year old driver montree little is accompanied by a friend Jared Clinton observe how officer Kyle th makes assumptions to accuse these young innocent individuals what's going on guys G much ni what's up how you doing is this your car of the vehicle despite finding nothing thieves attempted to pressure montree into admitting he had smoked marijuana or had been in the vicinity of someone smoking marijuana which montre consistently denied both officer thieves and officer heinan faced an internal investigation consequently the proceedings of the investigation remain unknown if you think officer theves was the only officer caught on camera racially discriminating then probably you aren't aware of this next case you know why I'm stopping you no I've been chasing you all the way back there you're doing 120 when you pass State Street this is an officer from the Zealand Police Department on January 30th 2022 this Deputy pulled over torion Mitchell a 30-year-old African-American in a traffic stop in Zealand Michigan according to the deputy Mitchell was traveling at over 120 mph significantly exceeding the speed limit however the interaction between the deputy and Mitchell that followed is about to become confusing and discriminatory hey man stick your hands out the window are you by yourself I'm by myself all right do you know why I'm stopping Y no I've been chasing you all the way back there you're doing 120 when you pass State Street uh I didn't realize it I was all right is the car in park all right go ahead and step out for me please all right just go and step put your hands on top of the car there for me clocked 120 in a 55 mph Zone Mitchell argued that he was delivering four door Dash and was convinced he didn't overspeed however the deputy accused him of not just overs speeding but also of driving Street uh no that's the sheriff's department um uh a street yeah so right downtown right across street from the movie theater okay um but this is the phone number um if you want to the citation you have to contact this number at the court um before or within that 10 days okay so if you yeah if you call them in the morning and what they're going to ask you for is a citation number and that's this number right at the very top okay so you just give them that citation number and then they will set up a a time for you to go to to have a hearing for that so my uncle um he just told me here a minute ago in the fall okay do you do you have a um a reason like did you record did you record this for doing a sobriety test and all that too do we put this and do we have notes of that too of what of
