being a cop requires more than just wearing a uniform and patrolling with sirens on it's a sensitive job that demands extensive training to ensure that Law and Order are maintained yet many officers go out of their way to act unprofessionally abusing their status but what happens when they ultimately ruin their careers here are idiot cops who ruined their own careers this is a female officer Brianna Strauss who decided to make a video expressing her feelings about people driving in front of her in Washington PSA to everyone out there I'm speaking for myself but I'm probably speaking for a large majority of other officers out there if we're driving on the freeway in our police car get the out of the way get the out of the way if you merge and we follow behind you and we merge too you're probably in trouble best way to find that out is get the out of the way I can go 90 M an hour you can't you can't do that so get the out of the way if us officers stay behind you long enough we can find a reason to pull you over so you might as well get the out of the way super simple that's all she later faced consequences as her comments in this short controversial video earned her a 10-hour suspension without pay for violations the Federal Way Police Department found two conduct violations in the video but this officer Strauss isn't the only cop to ruin her career as we see in this next case this is the arrest conducted by Tampa police officer Gregory Damon who responded to a call about a woman sleeping outside a family Health Center and refusing to leave on November 17th 2022 here's what happened next Stand Up You Want Me by you can't pick my that's what the officer was jealous stand up come on walk to my car why you saying that but pulling me so go and drag me cuz that's what you doing anyway you ain't walking just walk to my car how you going to tell me that but you pulling me as you said it didn't say yet when the I got the right to get out the car when I had a right to get in the car Miss Marshall get out the car come on drag you out of this car already know I don't want to drag you out but I need you to come get out the car what you did off the porch of the doctor's office drag me come on I want you to drag me you want me by you can't pick my big that's what the officer was jealous stand he could pick my big up he was jealous of my big you want me in this position done I'm a Bo you ain't hurting me at all cpv Cal par officer Gregory Damon was ultimately terminated after violating department policies when he dragged the uncooperative woman out of his Patrol vehicle and across the floor but if you thought this was the only cop to ruin their career due to misconduct then you probably haven't seen this next case this is a Florida cop who conducted a traffic stop with his firearm drawn on a citizen named Taran black a mental health counselor for driving without a seat belt when he flashed his sirens and signaled for Mr Black to stop Mr Black continued driving for one minute here's how the rest of the interaction unfolded on your knees get on your knees put your hands on top of your head I'm at work put your hands together you get you're clapping go and set up 224 1 to 10 work do you have any objection to me searching you right now man' uh yes sir you do yeah okay do you have any identification on you um Us in my car okay I'm officer D4 the pensac police department yes sir rais I'm stopping you today was cuz your seat belt was off okay I gave you multiple chances to stop your vehicle all right well I was trying to get to up yes sir okay I'm cuz I'm at work right now this is your vehicle yes sir and I'm at work right now you're at work stopped and waiting until I got to a place to where I feel com I'm I'm at work right now you ready to go see a client right now you're a counselor yeah but who's your do you have a client nearby or what's going on yeah okay before we ask any questions you must understand your rights you have the right to remain silent anything you say can beuse against you in court you have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before you ask you any questions and to have him with you during questioning you cannot afford a lawyer one will be appointed for you free of charge before any questioning if you wish you deci to answer questions now without a lawyer present you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to a lawyer understand your right mhm okay so you have no ID on you right now yeah it's in my car it's in your car M okay do you I got my uh work my work ID on me do you have any objection to me searching your vehicle right now oh yeah you do yeah why because for one um there's no smell of marijuana or alol i' never mention any number two um I think you know the stop is based on I I even know why you stopping me right now I I explained my stop to you okay so yeah I mean I object to the search I mean I'm I'm at work you know I was leaving Walgreens and I'm headed to see a client do a session I'm I'm a c why why did you why did you flee from me I didn't flee you never stopped I I was waiting until I got to a place where I felt comfortable he never stopped so that's the only thing that I'm saying I I didn't I'm I'm I'm literally at work right now like I I got you could have stopped at any moment I got my work badge on me in every work right now yeah that gives you no excuse to stop when I'm trying to pull you over not stop what I was saying is I wasn't fleeing I was just waiting until I that's fleing from law enforcement I did not inre fing from law enforcement I did not increase my speed off that does not matter only thing that I'm saying is this I was not fleeing I'm in I'm literally at work I left the moment that I initiated my lights and sirens and told you to stop you're required to stop for law enforcement the only thing I'm saying is this I did not athlete I was waiting till I got to a point where I felt comfortable to stop literally have no I need your license your registration your insurance I have permission to enter your vehicle and grab those items can can I get it no sir you're detained right now you fled from law enforcement I I did I'm literally at you fled from law enforcement I'm not going to argue with you about that anymore can you grab your license registration approve of insurance yes sir yes where is it at um I got it in in in my front seat just in your FR seat no I got my license in my wallet and then I got my um the rest of it is in my glove Department I can grab it can he go grab it can I go grab it no soon after the arrest Mr Taran black filed a lawsuit against the officer for unlawful arrest but this isn't the only time a cop has ruined their career as we see in this next case in a botched home raid on February 22nd 2019 Chicago officers broke into the wrong home and handcuffed an innocent black woman named Anjanette young while she was naked in her own residence she had just arrived home from her shift at the hospital and was getting undressed in her [Music] [Applause] bedroom up up up left go what is going on Chicago police search for it ma'am for who I'll explain that in a minute well there's nobody else here I live alone I mean what is going on here you got to house I live alone I just need to call somebody okay I'll get you a call okay okay let me explain to you what's going on okay I know what's going on but I'm telling you you got the wrong house okay now how can you take photographs of my house and don't tell me what you're looking for I will explain that to you one I'm going to give okay tell me now you got the wrong house you got the wrong house you got the wrong house and I'm standing here naked you take pictures of my house house and you won't let me call no B and I keep telling you you got the wrong place you got the wrong place this is so you got the wrong place okay somebody gave you bad information the officers had been acting on a tip from an informant and mistakenly went to the wrong address despite Young's please that they had the wrong apartment she was forced to stand naked and handcuffed while the officers swarmed around the property during the 40-minute ordeal this incident highlights the unprofessionalism of the officers undermining the respect associated with their uniforms next let's look at the case of a cop who ruined his career in Grand style this is a Seattle Police Department Officer whose own body cam recorded him laughing about the death of a citizen he even went so far as to say on the phone that she was a regular person and had limited value um I'm sure uh tcis is and I oh he's good he says well normally we don't give voluntary statements and I said hey you're going to have to decide if you wanted to give a statement or not but it does not seem like there's a criminal investigation going on otherwise there would be other what's that yeah otherwise there might be other people arriving correct yeah I mean he's going 50 that's not out of control that's not Reckless for a train driver yeah lights and sirs um the initially uh he said she was in a crosswalk uh there's a witness that says no she wasn't but that witness could be different because I don't think she was thrown 40 ft either uh I think she went up on the hood hit the windshield then when he hit the brakes flew off the car but she is [Laughter] dead no it's a regular person yeah yeah just write a check just yeah $111,000 she was 26 anyway she had limited value well uh yep but if you thought this was the last cop caught ruining their career then you probably haven't seen this next case this rookie cop from the ru Doo Police Department lied about a break-in at his house however investigators from his Department quickly realized that the Breakin had been staged by the rookie himself we to switch this Katie how can I help you hey Katie this is 622 um I just got back to my apartment and I think somebody broke in oh okay yeah I just um the rookie cop was told to go home and shave which he did however he forgot his body cam at home he returned to retrieve it kicked his own door open and then proceeded to call 911 to report that someone had broken into his home yeah like I said didn't see anyone go up and down the stairwell so you went to Walmart your car didn't work so you didn't buy nothing came back home yeah came in you wound up using your electric razor yeah which I mean everything's still over there uh okay but I used that got everything done was going to go back 81 and that's when I realized my body cam was still on on the sink I was going to come back down to get it and the door was wide open oh ski 21 21 you know how long I've been doing this many years sir 23 so I'm I'm pretty good about reading situations you know what I mean so I want you to know that first of all you know I can help you out if there's something else going on here okay but I need you as an officer sir to be 100% honest with me right now yes sir 100% yes sir now it's my understanding you were and when you called your mom which you say was you were sitting right here was at 642 at 642 you were in Walmart no sir this load I my chals right here dispatch right there 621 I was at Walmart 642 was when I got back here 646 is was when I called dis [Music] batch this you leav in Walmart yes sir with a bag in your hand yes I bought a candy but that's it bought a candy with your card with uh T okay but you didn't use that to buy your razor no sir no how come no I mean I realized that I had my electric shaver here so I didn't really see the need to actually buy that spend more money okay so listen ski this is this is the time okay this is a very important juncture in your life yes sir okay where I want you to be 100% straight with me if you messed up and you kicked your door because maybe you forgot your key maybe because you were pissed off stuff happens if I was in a bind and I had to kick my door I'd kick my door okay that's one we got to help each other out if you make a mistake you make a mistake but this one I need you be straight with me 100% you don't want to start your career with a blemish okay so there there's other things that I haven't told you yet that lead me to believe you're not being 100% straight up with me okay so I want you right now put everything aside all your emotions any fear you might have be 100% honest with me bu okay I looked at the boot patterns what do you think I saw there okay it's okay it's not the end of the world man but you I need you to be straight with me okay why did why did you kick it were you locked out yeah yeah okay it's all right but here's the thing man when you when you do something like that especially in this career you call your buddy Muno hey dude I got locked out I had to KI my freaking door probably going to be in trouble so I'm assuming maybe you thought what that you going have to pay for the door cuz you kicked it or what I knew that yeah so why did you kick it uh did get locked you got locked out and couldn't find your key or it was in here it was all that was in here it was in here okay all right well listen what we need to do right now is I need you to uh to take off your gear okay so you can just put that down you can just put your put your phone down or whatever but uh I'm going to I'm going to take this from you okay this is this uh triple thumb release okay okay let's go Ahad and take take all your gear off okay now keep in mind that this doesn't have to be the end of law enforcement for you okay this a misir it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things okay you might have another shot in the future but you can't start your career out with a false report okay it is a crime all right I think maybe uh you know you're 21 years old and I'll tell you right now I had a level ofur where okay so I don't want you to beat yourself up about this but but these things happen you know you're young you made a mistake made a bad call and this could be an important life listen Okay but at the same time now that with our department anyway your credibility not so good okay I'm just being straight with you so I want you to keep that in mind in the future regardless of what you get into but if it's law enforcement you got to be 100% right from the very G okay uh was that did you buy that belt uh R off R off um I'm going to take all the department issued stuff so let's GA that up okay you got hatches strings I took off the check in oh okay uh go let me get your uniform sh we'll figure that out when we get over there okay but like I said I'm going to go as easy on you as I possibly can okay and we'll we'll get it figured out um are they they got somebody on the L he hasn't answered me yet and try calling him 6:33 rles [Music] 6 yeah I'll see all right do you uh is there any way to secure this right now or uh that's why I was looking for the keys for the keys did you notice that there was keys hanging on his B I didn't notice I'll go check though you can take your phone with you but I'll let you use your phone while you're there okay all I F is the that same keychain yeah yeah so you didn't put any car right I don't think so where' you set your mail down at uh back to on the TV the rookie cop was relieved of his job ultimately ending his career
