idiot cops will always meet their waterl in the form of their superiors and citizens who know their rights but what happens when they are confronted by their ultimate adversaries here are four cases of idiot cops who got humbled by attorneys BR Hi how are you how long ago did you get in a crash um a year Okay the reason I pulled you you can't have white light emitting back what do you mean your tag lights they're supposed to illuminate your tag those two white lights all they're doing is shooting straight back you can't have any white light limiting them back so then that also doesn't illuminate your tag and on top of that you got a border around your tag that blocks the county that you live in you can't have that on your tag are you talking about the one that the cardio puts up the black one that silver one that goes around your tag yeah you can't have that you got your license brother of course vehicle registered you of course this Orlando PD officer had just pulled over a driver for having white lights that shot straight back and borders around his tag this interaction should have ended with a warning but it went beyond that since the officer clearly had no better thing to do what he didn't know was that the person he was trying to mess with was an attorney can you got your registration for me do me favor roll down that other window for me thank you br where you headed to man home where's Home on uh you University Pure Drive how long you been uh in Orlando huh I work here some do so okay your address just still sa says St Pete on your license yeah I need to update it when my tag March okay are you can still weapons hold there any weapons in the vehicle I need to be aware of nope nothing illegal in the car all right so after I'm done if I ask to search the vehicle to verify what you're saying is true you don't mind I do mind but only because I'm a lawyer okay so you know I consented that's what I'm asking so you have nothing vle I have absolutely nothing in the vehicle okay and you don't mind confirming that by allowing us to look and make sure there's nothing in the vehicle as you can imagine we hear no all the time as they have nothing and we find stuff i' rather not search okay cool just hang TI okay all right Nicholas so one you got to get that that fix those white lights in the back okay if you keep getting pulled like that you're going to get tickets Non-Stop I'll get you understand that that border take that border off understand that get home for no Reasonable Suspicion the officer asked the attorney for consent to search his car you may be wondering what white lights have to do with a search but thankfully the attorney refused and stood by his decision upon seeing that he would not get what he wanted the officer eventually decided to let the attorney go while this Orlando officer seemed slightly power drunk he's nowhere near as malicious as this next cop uh you live over here here what's we doing over here I had a couple people call in on you okay am I doing something illegal well no there just calling on you saying that recognize a truck in the area my duty to check and see if you live over here what's going on over for purpose okay all right you working you see you got a ladder in the back you working somewhere yes sir you got a driver's license on you so I can identify you uh have I done something well I like to identif I just know who I'm dealing with make sure well if I'm making contact with you for a reasonable suspicious call like I am right now suspicious as Mr on March 16th 2019 Kenneth grants an assistant district attorney was sitting in his parked truck outside a house when the police approached him because of a reasonable suspicion call watch how the interaction went on for an unreasonable amount of time okay well sir here's the I was called on you okay um for a suspicious vehicle you said yourself you don't live over here you have a purpose what's your purpose is the purpose legal or illegal that's okay so for me determine that I need to see your ID how is my ID going to determine whether I'm let me know who I'm dealing with let me know who I'm dealing with but my name my name doesn't tell you whether I'm yeah it would tell me like if I don't know if you belong over here you said you don't so I don't know if someone over here's got a VP or something against you and if you got you an ID or something I say I didn't belong over here you said you had purpose I don't live over here okay okay I do belong okay all right so that that's as far as I'm willing to take that so you don't you're not willing to give me your ID I don't have any reason okay well what do you have a reason for being over here absolutely okay can I know that reason no it's not many of your business well it is my business if you're planning on breaking into something which I don't know if you are or not make that determination whether you feel I'm going to break into something no that's why I want to identify you help me figure it out the determination how was my identifi okay because if if I identify you and I run your check and it says you've been arrested five times for burglary then I'm going to go a little bit further if it's nothing I'm just going to identify you kick you lose have a good day what suspicion of a crime do you think that uh I'm a have committed about so I have a call for service I've had had M People call and so if you don't if you're not from here I'm not sure if you are or not cuz I don't know who you are okay my Plate's right back there I'm sure you can run it no okay so is that how you want me to identify to your plate that's what you have are you the owner of the vehicle do you suspect that I'm not I have no reason to believe you are well I'm sitting in a truck in the middle of the house wait for what right here okay this one your business business it is my business no it's not how why is it your business because I want to make sure you're not going to break into these houses or anything like that do I look I don't know you have a ladder this statement from the officer shows how low he was willing to go to detain grants after all since when did possession of a ladder become a crime you have a ladder what could you use a ladder [Applause] for well no but if you've been arrested berley it could be I'm trying to get you I didn't make information it's really not that hard all I'm trying to do is identify it but you also have the right I also ask if I'm conducting investigation which I'm currently doing and you don't comply it's instruction correct am I being DET I'm asking you a question first before I answer that until I know whether or not I'm being detained you are not free to leave it this time okay then I'm being detained I my light until you're free to go your tains like a traffic stop okay so you have an idea on you have an idea on you have an idea on you this is public roadway I'm going to stand by I understand that and I don't want to for that purpose and I saw the Army sticker and I appreciate your service but I want to make sure that you're not here for so all got to do is identify you make sure that you're not a wanted murder got warrant that then I cut you loose and you have a good day you already ran my PL you they gave you the information that you needed you asked them to through NCC or do you have a date of birth then because I have to run it with a name and date of birth I'm not going to answer that question so you're you're ask you're telling me how I should do my job yet you're not allowing me to do my job standing up for my rights and I understand that like I said I haven't done anything wrong I'm doing my job condu investigation I haven't committed a crime I'm sitting here in front of the house which is perfectly legal H well you're not completely the roadway there sir okay has anybody asked me to move do they have to ask you to move it's private property okay but there there also a public easement right here oh is a public because this is the city of Blanchard Road so it's a public easement no the side of the road oh because this is a city of are here investigating that and in order part of that investigation we can identify you with request your identification you may ask all you want and you are also required by law not Reed by upon vehicle well he's parked right now okay well technically there's no obligation for to identify himself I mean unless you got reasonable susp a crime well the thing is is I have no reason fici to believe that he's not committing crime because he has a ladder in the back of the truck and he's in front of houses that aren't occupied right now oh I see okay yeah um there's no compelled ID Statute in Oklahoma I have to think about you have anything else get you might be involved something elicit well just I I'm curious to why a man from Oklahoma City is parked on a dead end Road in Blanchard and uh you know he has no I ask him if he lives here and he says I don't answer questions okay yeah so he asked if he was free to leave and I said No at this time I have my Emergency Equipment activated and I'm trying to investigate what if you're going to drive away absolutely you can make you can driveing operting a motor vehicle but you don't have a traic violence well I fall him out of town until I get one yeah the officers resolved to stalk an innocent man until he got dirt on him shows just how jobless and evil he was at least thanks to his inability to keep his malice to himself he was able to make it clear that he wasn't operating based on any reasonable suspicion but rather on some personal Vendetta while grants was able to escape these tyrants just by exercising his rights and being firm in his position the victim in the next case was not as lucky you doing taking pictures for a possible publication working on a story you what's that what are you working for I'm not questions when I got here for my name and badge number and I was more than willing to provide that with you which I believe you're required to do y I'm not well if uh we have reason to believe you may be involved in criminal activity you are need a reasonable articulable suspicion that I have am or I'm about to commit a crime to be able to detain me are so what am I being detained for for identification purposes in order to ID me I had to have broken a law h5s can I get another Squad please start a this activity on 23rd Street Brooklyn drive all with one male verbally non compliant okay so here's the thing you can tell me who you are and I can have you on your way very easily and here's the thing at this point in time it's illegal detainment because I have broken no law I'm in the process of breaking no law and I intend to break no law you have no suspicious of any suspicions of any of those three so therefore you have no right to detain me or that might be what you think that's what I know but you can tell me and I can get you on your way am I being detained or am I free to go no you are not free to go okay I I exercise my right to remain silent where do you live at oh I believe I just told you I'm exercising my right to remain silent set your cameras down no I have every right to record okay just when Ryan was wrapping up his research another sergeant pulled up demanding that he identify himself Ryan naturally refused seeing he had not committed a crime yet the officer put him in handcuffs and we can only hope that legal action was taken against the idiot cop for this unlawful arrest while this cop was acting purely out of entitlement and drunkenness on power the next cop seemed to be displaying racial discrimination [Applause] 387 Triad Center here's card yep for an interaction that started out this way one would expect it to end just as peacefully but that wasn't the case on July 10th 2021 Emmanuel Ola a civil rights attorney in Westerville was taking out the trash he had just dumped the trash in the bin when he found two Westerville police officers waiting for him all right I'll give it to him um you can keep doing what you're doing we're just again we're kind of concerned yeah seeing somebody dump buch of stff there so okay don't don't run my car don't run my ID huh don't run my ID don't run your ID you have no reason to we're going to at least mark it down we're going to take down your information nope I'm on my property putting trash in mine okay but this is wait this is not just your property it's several people's property I understand but I'm not violating anyw no one said that you were V violating it no no no no don't run my IDI I'm a lawyer I know my rights okay the officers wanted to run ola's ID but he made it clear that he did not consent to that yet they persisted I'm not violating any law I'm on my property there's no suspicion no one called anybody so don't run my ID I only identified myself so that this would escalate that's fine but we can still mark down who we're out with and so that's what we're going to do no you didn't stop me this don't turn this into an issue sir you are turning this into issue we're just simply marking down who we're out with yeah so he's just going to write it down on a piece of paper just just it's just your name why because sir we are out with you because we were concerned that you were illegally dumpy but but you you already justed do you want me to show you my office I understand that you're here but I don't know if this dumpster belongs to you or somebody else in the in the it belongs to me to you and you alone yes can you prove that that dumpster belongs to you and you alone this dumpster belongs to the property and I'm dumping my stuff in there that's my point though is it if it's also other units so what it belongs to everybody we're paying for it it doesn't really matter if it belongs to all the unit just give me back my ID thank you thank you don't worry everything is under control and that's my wife okay okay that's fine want your back yeah I understand you came to check but trying to run my ID to find anything no that's illegal that is not illegal but okay you can finish stumping if you like when Ola wouldn't let them run his ID the cops started to question his ownership of the trash can it couldn't get more ridiculous than this
