You can step out of the vehicle for me. >> Step out of the vehicle for $500. >> Step out of the vehicle. >> Roll over on your stomach. You >> tried to go into a post office. >> Give me my check. >> Put her Put our That's my check. >> Put your hand on. Put a hand on me. Put a hand. YOU GOT 3 SECONDS. GET YOUR STOMACH. GET ON YOUR >> ROLL. IT'S [groaning] OVER. >> GET ON YOUR >> Most people know that laws exist to keep society running smoothly, but not sovereign citizens. These self-proclaimed legal experts think they can outsmart the police with their madeup laws and lots of misplaced confidence. But when these dumb sovereign citizens ignore the law, they eventually get humbled, usually with a harsh reality check. Stop it. STOP. STOP. >> STOP. >> Put your hand behind your back. >> No. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> When drivers break the law, things usually stay calm if they comply. But on the 4th of May, 2023, a simple traffic stop spiraled out of control after the cops pulled a woman over for a fake license plate and an unbuckled child. >> Can you roll your window down for me? Uh, no ma'am. Can you roll your window down for me? >> No. >> Okay. I need to talk to you a little bit more, so that's why I wanted it. And can you also turn your music down? >> Okay. >> Is there an accident? >> Ma'am, I'll be asking the questions. Okay. >> I'm officer Lee with Orlando Police Department. The reason you're being pulled over >> 47245. You're being pulled over because this young man right here is not in the seat belt. Also, your tag is not coming back to anything. >> Okay. Did you just understand what I told you while you're being pulled over? >> Okay. May I see your driver's license, your registration, and your proof of insurance? Ma'am, >> under Florida law, drivers have to carry a valid license, and if an officer asks for it, you've got to show it. Pretty simple, right? But this lady thought she was above the law. Instead of just complying, she was acting like a bratty teenager begging for trouble. And much to her surprise, everything backfired. >> I don't feel comfortable with y'all. This is like No. No. Do not open that car door. >> No. >> No. I am not getting out the car. I don't I'm not done. I'm not doing anything. >> I don't feel comfortable with y'all. I have No. >> I have my rights, >> but I do not feel comfortable with any of this. I lost all my dango information just a few days ago. >> Well, ma'am, the first thing You don't you don't dictate us how we do a traffic stop. >> I Yes, I do because I don't feel com Yes, I do. I already went through this with somebody else. >> No, I don't feel comfortable. >> Okay. In front of my kids. No. >> Okay. >> No, I don't feel comfortable. >> Ma'am, you you really don't want to do this. >> So, y'all going to yank me out my car? >> Ma'am, we're telling you by law to get out of the vehicle. We are by law >> by law we're allowed to control the occupation of the vehicle. >> Because you don't have registration vehicle information for you. >> You won't turn off the vehicle like we don't. >> So now we're asking you to step out of the vehicle. >> The fact that she refused to step out of the vehicle was testing the officer's patience. It was the kind of stubborn behavior you'd expect from a toddler. The cop stayed pretty calm, but the woman wasn't interested in logic or law. She really seemed dead set on dragging things out and making the whole ordeal 10 times worse for herself. >> Ma'am, I don't feel >> I've already told you why you've been pulled over. Okay, >> give me the ticket. >> Okay, I can't even confirm who you are right now. >> I just told you I can give you my name. >> Don't stop it. Stop. Stop. >> Stop. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> No. >> Put your hands behind your back. It >> don't make no goddamn sense. I'm scaring the out of y'all. >> While she kept insisting she'd done nothing wrong after a quick background search, they confirmed she was driving on a suspended license. In Florida, it's a misdemeanor, but it can land a firsttime offender in jail for up to 60 days. >> Do you have any identification in that car? >> I got a log tag. >> Okay, that's not an identification. >> It is. Y'all got five of y'all FOR ONE LITTLE BITTY PERSON. >> This would have went a whole different way if you just gave your ID. >> I didn't have no ID. >> Okay. You got to be able to provide a ID. If you don't >> have one and I still >> That's not how it works. You got to be able to show us who you are. You can't just drive a vehicle and not know who you are. >> So now you're going to jail for something so simple cuz you don't want to listen. It's not because of us. It's because of you. >> No, it's not because of me. You could have been. >> All right, guys. Two lawsuits against y'all about this. >> Apparently, she'd already filed two lawsuits against the cops for her own wrongdoing, which any law-abiding citizen would find hard to comprehend. At some point, she has to realize that she might be the problem. >> Violate every constitutional right. That's fine. >> Promise you we're not violating. >> Yes, you are. My right to travel, my right to privacy. You yanked me out of my car. You reached your hand inside of my private vehicle. You're going to be able to provide this with somebody else. Five other cops did to me. >> All right, man. I'm going to read you something. Can you hear me? >> I can hear you. >> You got a right to remain silent. Do you understand? >> Anything you say may be used in court. Do you understand? >> You have a right to talk to a lawyer before and during question. Do you understand? Mhm. >> If you cannot afford a lawyer or want one, one will be provided to you before question or without charge. Do you understand? >> Has anyone threatened you or promise you anything to get you to talk to me? >> Do you want to talk about today? >> Frequently, these sovereign citizens refuse to register their vehicles or get proper insurance. Bizarrely, they've convinced themselves that the law doesn't apply to them. When the cops pulled her over and saw that license plate displaying the word private, it was a very clear indicator that they were dealing with a sovereign citizen. >> All right. Uh to let you know, you are under arrest right now. Um in the state of Florida, you must have the vehicle properly registered. I ran your tag that says it seems to have some type of characters that look like private. Um that's not a tag that somebody is going to give you in the state of Florida. Um, also when I'm asking for your driver's license, um, and I'm asking you to turn down the vehicle so I can hear your name and your date of birth a little properly instead of you having the music out loud. That's just so I can hear you a little bit better. >> Amid all this chaos, it's easy to forget that the woman's two young children were still sitting in the vehicle. Eventually, her husband showed up to take them home, but instead of calming things down, he tried to defend his wife's dumb actions. >> You said, one of you said that my wife resisted. >> Yes. That was me. >> And that's because she's she's terrified of you guys. >> Well, I mean, she still got a she still got to abide by the law. I mean, I'm telling her to get out the vehicle and she's saying no. And then when we try to get out the vehicle, she can't swing and hit at the police. >> I'm just I'm just telling you, you can't do that. >> You follow what I'm saying? We wouldn't even be here if she would have just gave the the officer identification uh and just comply with what he what we requested. I don't want to reach around the vehicle. You're done with it? >> Are you serious? >> Yes, sir. >> I'm a United States Marine. I did 27 years, dude. I'm not gonna do anything. >> Yeah. I got a family bunch of family. Okay. >> So, we're done with Here's my dog. >> Luckily for her, the woman's ex-husband, Marine, eventually helped ease some of the tension. But the way the man handled it, without even a hint of surprise, really said a lot. It seemed like it wasn't the first time he'd watched his wife turn simple situations into total chaos. >> Go ahead and uh post the bail. >> I'm going to do that right now then, baby. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to leave from here and I'm going to go post your bail. >> It's going to take like 3 4 hours just to let you know processing. >> Okay. And I'll get that straight away and and I'll come get you when they let you go. Okay. Just just relax. The unidentified woman was charged with violently resisting an officer and driving while her license was suspended or revoked. It's a serious list of charges, but frankly, given her behavior, not that surprising. On the 8th of February, 2022 in Lighthouse Point, Florida, the cops were called to the US Post Office after a woman tried to cash a fraudulent money order. The check had been altered with such obviousness that the cops were probably left wondering whether she was brazantly bold or just unbelievably dumb. >> Where's the money order? >> Give me the reason. >> Okay, man. We're going to >> This is not giving me a reason. >> Well, the the money order is not it's counterfeit allegedly or it's been altered. >> No. I think she doesn't know. >> It says 55. >> Yes, but she's trying to cash it for 84. >> She don't know. >> How do you How do you cash it for 843 when it says 55? >> I can't do that. >> You don't know the USC? >> Ma'am. Ma'am, it says it right on there. It's printed right on there. You can't write in whatever you want. She somehow thought she could get away with her crimes by playing dumb. However, the cops here were having none of it. Undeterred, she tried derailing their questioning by bizarrely speaking about UCCC codes >> over here. >> What's going on? >> Why would you think that's okay to cash something like that >> if it says $55 on it, but you wrote in $843 and you're wondering why they're not going to? That's the US law. It >> That's not a US law. >> Yes, it is. >> No, it's not. >> The UCC closes on. >> No, no, no. For $55. >> The UCC closes on there. Do you know the UCC? >> Ma'am, do you have your driver's license on? I need your driver's license. >> No. Why do you need to identify me? What did I do? >> Well, you you tried forging a >> That's not a four. >> I'm telling you it is. >> Is it UC law? Do you know the code? >> Listen to me. I'm telling you it is. >> Do you know the codes? >> Do you have your driver's license? You're not answering the question whether or not you know the pose or not. >> Ma'am, do you have your driver's license? >> Do you know the pose? >> Do you have your driver's license, >> sir? I'm asking you. Do you know the polls? You're not answering my questions, but you want me to answer your question? >> Yes. Yeah. Yes, I do. >> Can I just get my check back? >> No, you're not getting this back to you. >> But we're going to figure out what's going on. And so far, you're not even identifying yourself. >> Soon enough, the cops started figuring things out. He began to suspect that she wasn't just an ordinary citizen. and growing tired of her incessant refusal to answer his questions, the cop decided to put his theory to the test and asked the woman point blank if she was a sovereign citizen. >> Can you turn [clears throat] around the chat? Did you could you turn it around? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, it's um a negotiable instrument apparently. And I got the check so I can cash it. >> Are you like a sovereign citizen or something? Is that what you're trying to do here? Yeah. >> This is what I'm telling you. You cannot do. You cannot get >> so citizen. >> Okay. That doesn't make any difference to me. One bit. I just wanted to know so I get to know you a little bit better. You understand? >> It makes a big difference. >> It doesn't. Do you see that? That's printed on there. $55. You see that? >> Okay. I should have got a blank one. The person should have got a blank one is what she's [snorts] saying. >> No, no, no. What you should have done is had this printed out for the right amount of money. That's what the whole You're not getting this. >> It's a negotiable instrument. >> I don't care. >> I I really don't. >> Can I just get my check though? >> No. >> Cuz that's actually You're confiscating something illegally that doesn't belong to you. >> No, you're about to go to jail for forging this. Okay. >> I can't go to jail for Listen to me. >> I did not commit a crime. So, I could not go to jail. >> You certainly just tried to UC and I've been giving me my check. >> You going to let me talk? >> Okay. You're forging this. >> It's not a forge. >> See that number up there? So, you're saying that you're able to do that because it says it's negotiable on the back of it. >> In the state of Florida, altering a federal document is considered a thirdderee felony and it can land a person in jail for up to 5 years. The charge also comes with heavy fines of up to $5,000. At this point, she's got to be asking herself if it was really worth it. >> Is there a way I can contact the people that gave you this? Um, I don't know >> because you're telling me that they gave you they're they gave you this like this. Okay. >> It's a negotiable instrument. Do you know the UCCC law, sir? >> Do you know the UCCC laws? I really have to ask. You haven't answered yes or no. >> I know a criminal law yet. I know a criminal. >> You haven't answered yes or no to that question. >> Explain it to me. >> Everything. >> If you don't know the UC laws, why are you confiscating something that doesn't belong to you? >> Explain it to me. >> Can I Can I get my check back, please? at this point. >> No, not until I want you. You're telling me that this person >> gave you this right here >> the way it already is. >> Can I get your badge number? >> Sure. 323. >> Ironically, she was asking for the cop's badge number while refusing to even give her name. She appeared to be trying to make the cop's job difficult in some sort of attempt to delay the inevitable. The cops grew tired of her childish behavior and escorted her outside. Cops. Can I get my money, please? >> No, this is going to be the property in the evidence. Come on. >> Can I get my money? >> Come on. Let's talk out here so we don't make a scene here. >> Come on. >> It's all being recorded. >> There you go. >> Yeah. Let me record this. >> It's being recorded. Okay. >> Can I get my check? >> You're not getting this check. You just tried to go into a post office. >> Give me my check. Put her. >> That's my chest. >> Put your hand on it. You put a hand on me. Listen, you put a handg. >> You can tell by the tone of his voice that the cop's trying his best to stay composed. But after trying to snatch the check out of his hand, it was a step too far. Maybe she'll finally realize that actions have consequences. >> STOP. PLEASE THIS THING. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> MA'AM, YOU'RE NOW STOP. You're under arrest. [screaming] >> WHAT? >> Got it. [screaming] >> Yeah, she's good. ALL RIGHT. ALL RIGHT. >> WHAT? MA'AM, I'M BUSY. [screaming] GO TO YOUR POST OFFICE BOX. >> I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. >> Come on. I just got to go. >> Take this off of me. I didn't do anything. >> You're under arrest. >> I didn't do anything. >> You battered this officer. >> I did not do it. >> You battered the officer. >> No, I did. >> All on video. >> I was trying to GET MY CHAIR. >> ALL ON VIDEO. >> ARE you kidding me? >> N >> I did not do it. >> You're under soldier. No, >> you're not chewing yourself. >> Stop. >> I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. >> Take a deep breath. Take a deep breath. I need you to relax. >> STOP RESISTING. >> I DIDN'T DO IT. >> YOU'RE THE ONE THAT'S FIGHTING WITH US. >> I DIDN'T LEAVE YOU ALONE. I didn't >> Stop resisting. >> I don't have anything. >> Stop resisting. >> If she thought screaming was going to stop the cops from doing their jobs, she was sorely mistaken. With the suspect in handcuffs and the fraudulent check secured as evidence, it's hard to imagine how this suspected fraudster thought she could talk her way out of this. >> Why are you tugging me? >> I don't What am I arrested for? What am I arrested for? >> Well, to start with, you arrested >> for I didn't do anything to you. I was not ONLY TOUCHED THE TRACK. I DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH YOU. What am I arrested for? >> I just told you assaulting a police officer. NO, I'M NOT. I DID NOT assault you. You're lying. You're lying. Why are you lying? >> Sorry, camera. >> Why are you lying? >> Have a seat. >> Have a seat. >> I need you to stop resisting me. >> They charged the woman with resisting an officer with violence and passing a forged bill or promisary note. Later in the courthouse, the charges were dismissed without prejudice. It seems like this time she got off lucky. On September 12th, 2024, a dumb sovereign citizen, later identified as 38-year-old Frederick Phillips, was pulled over in Reading, California for speeding. Clearly irritated, he tried to dodge accountability by spouting a classic softset line, but the nononsense officer quickly shut him down. [screaming] Hi, I'm Brian Cal Police Department. The reason I stopped you is you're going about 60 miles an hour on Pelli as you pass me. [clears throat] Can I see your license, registration, and insurance, please? >> I'm uh I'm not in the process of conducting business. >> Okay, we're not going to play that game, sir. So, if you don't want to identify yourself, I'm just going to place you under arrest and tow your vehicle. Okay. >> I'm traveling right now. >> Yeah, we're not going to do that. Okay. So, I need to see your ID. and they need to see the registration and insurance on your vehicle. Okay? >> And you're a grown adult, so you're going to make an adult decision right now. Okay? [groaning] >> So, that's up to you. >> What do you want to do? >> Okay. You're going to be placed under arrest. Step out of the vehicle. >> Sovereign citizens often use the line that they're traveling and not driving. They think using this slight of hand exempts them from obeying traffic laws. In their eyes, they have a constitutional right to travel, but don't have to have licenses, registration, or insurance. But it's a legal fantasy, and it's been repeatedly and soundly struck down by courts. >> Step out of the vehicle. >> Out of the vehicle. >> 47. I'll take the 225. Don't Don't >> ow that hurts. >> Don't >> let me get out. >> Don't get out right now. Undo your seat belt. >> Undo your seatelt and get out. >> I'm traveling, sir. >> Undo your seat belt. >> I'm not I'm not >> And get out of the vehicle. You are under arrest. >> I'm not conduct. >> Get out of your vehicle. Out of your vehicle. Undo your seatelt. Do you understand me? Do you understand me? Undo your seat belt >> and step out of the vehicle. >> Okay. >> Call me 47. I think >> this guy Frederick isn't making things easy for himself. His refusal to cooperate is only making a bad situation even worse. In the state of California, refusing to comply with an officer can lead to hefty fines and up to six months in jail. >> Undo your seat belt and get out of the ve >> undo your seat belt >> and get out of the vehicle. >> Break my arm. >> I'm not going to break your arm. I don't want to. I want you to get out of the vehicle. [snorts] >> Do you not want to get your seat belt off first? Why don't you just get your seatelt off and we'll and we'll do this. >> Break my arm, bro. >> No. >> God damn it, dude. I'm not I'm tra I'm not >> You're under conducting business. >> You're under arrest. >> I'm not conducting business. >> You're under arrest. Okay. >> No. For what? >> Show me the magistrate. >> Yeah, that's where we're going to go. You don't want to identify yourself, so we're going to do that. If he's a sovereign citizen as suspected, it's no surprise he's refusing to comply. For some strange reason, these people genuinely believe the law doesn't apply to them. But the cop here's had enough of his nonsense and isn't about to play along. >> Not in the process of conducting business. >> Get off me, dude. What the is your problem? >> Get the off me. >> STOP. >> GET OFF ME, DUDE. GET THE OFF. >> STOP. NO. GOD damn it. >> What the [ __ ] Stop. >> Pull me over. >> You're attacking me. >> Stop. >> Several times throughout the altercation, the man started reaching for his handbrake, desperately trying to shift his car into drive. It was a tense situation because one dumb move could have very grave consequences. STOP, DUDE. >> YOU STOP. GET THE OUT of me, DUDE. >> GOD DAMN IT, MAN. >> NO, YOU STOP. >> STOP. >> You stop. >> You're not going anywhere. >> I'm not arrested. >> Under arrest. >> I for what? >> You're under arrest. >> You caught me speeding. Give me a ticket so I'll be on my way. >> Frederick, who's done nothing but act like a bratty child since being pulled over, somehow dared to think that he could tell the cop how to do his job. If he'd just listened to the cop from the start, he could have been on his way with nothing more than a speeding ticket. >> Smash my face. >> Stop reassessing. >> Then put me under arrest. >> You are under arrest. >> Got it. >> What the? Let's get this arm. >> Stop. >> I'm burning my face. >> All right. Got it. It's on my shirt. >> Frederick's dumb decision to cause a scene in public quickly caught the attention of bystanders who decided to step in and help apprehend this combative man. Now in handcuffs, he'd have to answer for his actions. Any hope he had of escaping was now gone. >> [laughter] >> straight on the inside. [clears throat] >> I'm traveling right now. >> You're traveling to jail right now. >> Not in the conducting not in the process of conducting business right now. Take me to see the magic pack. Please get in. >> Luckily for the cops, this very brave passerby stuck around to lend a hand. In tense situations like that one, you never know if a suspect has a weapon or just how insane they really are. So having the courage to step in and help detain the man was a real act of courage. >> You good? >> Yeah, I'm fine. >> Okay. No, >> I got it. I just need You have his ID and stuff. This guy's >> Yep. Let me [snorts] run it real quick and >> How long were you struggling for with them? >> Oh, just actually right when you pulled up cuz I had him in a twist lock. >> Yeah. >> And I was just holding there waiting for another unit. >> Yeah. And uh he then he kept trying to pull away and he tried like trying to reach in his undo his or undo his car his keys and he just went crazy. >> Yeah. >> So >> as this delusional suspect sat defeated in the back of the squad car, the cops got a hold of his license and confirmed who he was. After scanning the ID, one cop explained to the other that Phillips identified as a constitutionalist, someone who firmly believes that the legal system should strictly limit the government and also police. >> He's a constitution. So, >> he'll have time to take care of that in jail. >> Cool. If you want to just write his name down. >> Yeah. What's your name? directions. >> I just didn't have my I left all my paper and stuff. >> So, what do you need? >> I need to be seen. See the magistrate and show >> you're going to go to jail. >> Show my victim. Where's my victim right now? >> Me? >> I'm just traveling. >> You're traveling to jail? >> I'm not in the process of conducting business. I'm a private American. >> Okay, cool. >> Anything else? You're under arrest. >> Ready to see the judge? >> Yeah. Whenever the jail gets you over to the jail or to the judge. Absolutely. >> Definitely see him right now. >> Perfect. >> They booked the man into Shasta County Jail and he was later charged with resisting an officer and speeding unsafeely for prevailing conditions. On January 5th, 2025 in Ohio, a sovereign citizen thought he could just waltz into a police station with his family no less and act like he owned the place. The suspect, known only as Ryan, said he was there to report a crime, alleging someone had tried to kill him. But his erratic behavior quickly started raising red flags. Can >> I have your name and badge number, please? >> Name badge number, please. [music] >> Officer McDow 1363. Come on. >> Bad number, please. Hold on. I'll leave. I'm leaving. >> Yeah, we'll give it to you outside. Come on. You got to go. >> Your name badge number. We'll write down for you. >> 1147. >> Kick me out. I pay for it. >> You don't pay for it. Get out. Yeah, dude. I catch you. >> Get out. >> Stop shoving me against the door. Yo, don't shove me. You're >> shoving ME AGAINST THE DOOR, BRO. >> HEY, stop touching me. Stop touching me. >> STOP TOUCHING ME. GET AWAY FROM ME. >> It's unclear why Ryan decided to film the whole ordeal when the cop's body cam footage could clearly show that he was the one who was in the wrong. He should have just made things easy for himself and left the police station when the cops asked him, >> "Where's your supervisor? I WANT YOUR SUPERVISOR. I WANT YOUR SUPERVISOR. SUPERVISOR. SUPERVISOR. >> SUPERVISOR. STOP TOUCHING ME. Stop touching me. >> Stop touching me. >> I'M ON THE SIDEWALK. >> I'M ON THE SIDEWALK. >> I'm on the sidewalk. STOP CHASING ME DOWN. >> LEAVE. LEAVE. RYAN. >> RYAN. >> RYAN. Come on. >> Why is your officer in my face? >> Shouting and cursing at the cops is never a smart move. And he was about to learn that the hard way. His foul-mouth tirade had gone on long enough. And the cops weren't going to put up with him with his disrespectful behavior any longer. >> Why don't you get a job and get a real life? >> Okay. I have >> Hey, you start cursing, it's going to be disorderly conduct. >> Take off. >> Let's just take off. >> Now you're going to jail. >> That's fine. Right ahead. Can I have my shoe, please? >> Put your shoe on. Let's just sign up. >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. >> I I see that. I'm good. >> 25. Start a wagon. >> Good idea. >> Yeah, I actually do. Can Hold on. >> Where's it at? >> Hey, can I stand here by myself, please? >> Where's your idea? >> You're under arrest. Let's >> I'm being detained. >> No, you're under arrest. Stand out here when we're telling you to leave. Call everybody and all that. >> You're under warrant. >> Okay. >> You're going to the county. >> I'm going to the county. >> Once they throw him in jail, he's not going to be laughing much longer. In Ohio, if you get a disorderly conduct charge, you might get fined up to $250 and land yourself in jail for up to 30 days. >> [laughter] >> Actually, the docket's full there. Smart guy. [snorts] >> No, you're under arrest. >> You can come down to the police station and pick your phone up. >> Hey, hey, hey. Excuse me, guys. Excuse me, sir. Hey, that's my personal property. Give it to my mom, please. Of course it will be. Hey, who's got a body camera that's being turned on? His isn't EVEN TURNED ON. HEY, THOSE KEYS are mine. They're my mom's. Thank you. You just close the door on your officer. Nice job. Hey yo, can you give my phone to my mom, please? >> Uh, no. >> Why not? >> Cuz we're not calling your mom today. >> No, no, no, no. I said, "Can you give it to her? She's in the police station. Can you give it to her in my wallet, please?" >> Your mom's in the police station? My mother is right there in the police station talking to the dude at the front desk with with my brother Jerry. Can you please give her my wallet and my phone? That would be awesome if you did. There's a bare minimum that you guys can do for me. >> The sheer arrogance of the man's behavior is enough to infuriate anyone with common sense. He barked orders at the cops and was running his mouth like he was completely untouchable. It really begs the question, was he genuinely clueless or just another entitled loudmouth who thinks he's above the law? >> I have no record, you guys. >> Is there someone inside that? >> You You do know. >> Yeah. Thanks. >> When they tell you to leave, leave. >> I was standing on the sidewalk. >> When they tell you to leave, leave. >> There's a sidewalk. Public property. I want a supervisor. >> You can keeping laughing all you want, dude. All you had to do is walk away. No, >> that idiot who lives in his mom's basement smokes pot all day. He ain't doing >> The cops decided to take Ryan to jail on disorderly conduct charges and for criminal trespassing. Meanwhile, his mom and his brother Jerry stayed at the station the whole time, watching as the man sealed his own fate, kicking up such a huge fuss. >> You get your keys back? >> Yes. All right. Awesome. Thanks. You're welcome. >> Disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. Yeah. You want >> mom? Mom, [screaming] mother, tell them you want TO TALK TO ME. YOU'RE ALLOWED TO. >> RYAN started calling out for his mommy, but by then it was way too late. Maybe, just maybe, it's about time he realized he's a full-g grown man and he can't rely on his mother to get him out of his sticky situations. >> Hey, bro. Can I talk to my mom real fast? >> Phone in your wallet? >> Huh? You want her to take your phone in your wallet? >> Can I talk to her, please? And yes, please. >> What do you need to talk to her about? >> I just would like to at least tell my mom that I'm going to the going down to the station. You know, I mean, it's very evident that's where I'm going, but I would like to tell her myself. >> Um, our neighbor pretty much tried [music] to last night. fire department. >> I can talk to you if you want. >> Yeah, I can talk to him. >> The neighbor hit our gas. >> Yeah, the neighbor hit our vehicle >> and we were told last night there's no proof. >> So, the police come out last night. >> Yeah, they came, but >> nothing was done. Things were escalated. We were told to go back in the house to where there was gas leak in the house. >> That made no sense to me. >> Yeah. um him the whole time. >> And I say attempted murder because they were trying to move the car without letting us know that they hit our dad. >> Yeah. So they could have caused a spark >> and we could have woke up dead today. >> Ryan's mother and brother explained to the cops that they had an ongoing feud with a neighbor. They claimed that the night before the neighbor and her boyfriend had crashed into their gas tank and it was an act of violence they deemed as attempted murder. But being told that we have no proof on both occasions is being it's it's just really frustrating. Well, we have it on camera. >> Yeah, we have there's not many people. >> He sent you the link. >> Yes, >> he's going to. Yes. >> Okay. >> So, that should be coming. You can put that in there. And like you said, uh refer it up to go from there. I mean, if you have a video for getting out of your neighbor and >> do we really have to after all the other things happened arrest him? Well, I mean, he's I get that you guys going through a lot. You can't be down here acting like that. And then when we tell him to leave, you are you guys drive down here or you guys walk down here? >> We drove. >> Where's the car? >> Oh, yeah. >> I know. >> He's out here cursing at all of us standing up there saying he's not going to leave. >> His mother, unlike her very angry son, remained calm during the whole interaction. She tried one final time to get her son off the hook, asking the cop if the arrest was really necessary. As the officer explained though, as a full grown adult, you just can't behave like Ryan did and expect not to face consequences. >> Yeah, >> he's Yeah, we got to transfer you over the fine wagon. >> This is all new for me. This is why >> what I'm going to do is just put mine on and then take his off. Okay, >> that's fine. I'm not going to go anywhere, so you ain't got to worry about that. >> Okay, no problem. Just kite. I can't really run anywhere anyway and slide spend my >> We're standing there. Nobody's yelling at him. We're just telling him to leave and he's followed us. >> So, I mean, that's what he got arrested for. >> Okay. Can I talk to him for a second, please? He said he wanted to talk to me. What did you need to talk to? >> You have my phone. That's all I need. >> Oh, okay. I don't I don't know how to access it. >> It's okay. I can >> if >> It's okay. I can. >> Hey, it's okay. I know how to >> Well, no. Well, I meant what I'm saying is you have like a 48 hour window and you'll have to resubmit that. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Yeah, you'll be >> Ryan was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. If he's convicted under Ohio state law, he could receive a fine. And if the conduct's deemed as aggravated, he could face jail time. Most people with common sense know that when the cops give you an order, you follow it. But on the 2nd of April 2024 in Clearwater, Florida, what began as a minor pedestrian violation became full-blown chaos when the offender stupidly chose to ignore the officer's orders. >> You crossed the road without the intersection. >> Oh man. >> Pedestrian violation. >> Sorry. >> So now you have to tell me your name legally. >> No, I mean, can you show me where I cross? >> Yeah. Officer Ray, where did he cross? I I I watched you do it. >> So, do you want to tell me your name now? >> I I watched you do it. >> I mean, >> no. Show me a video. >> Okay. You don't want to tell me your name? >> No. >> Okay. >> I'm saying what? What? What if I don't want to tell you what's going to happen? >> You have to tell me. Now, this is when you don't have a choice. >> Okay, sir. But let me let me explain myself. >> I'm going to ask you one more time. >> Okay. You touch me. >> What is your name? is are you just trying to threaten me right now? >> No, I'm saying if you touch me, I'm not you can't you can't illegally you can't illegally arrest me. >> If you fail to give me your name, you'll be arrested for that. So tell me your name or >> I'm saying no. You definitely refusing to give me your name. >> No, I'm talking. >> You're refusing to give me your name. >> In Florida, jaywalking's a pretty minor offense. Offenders generally don't face criminal consequences and might be forced to pay a small fine. However, this man's only escalating things by refusing to comply with the officer's simple request. >> You just said my name. My name is Caleb. I just said I just said my name. >> Stop resisting. Stop it. Stop it. Stop. >> You want to get tased or no? You want to get tased? Chill. Chill. I'll get the target. >> What you doing? My [ __ ] Caleb. >> Okay, I'm coming around. Look, I'm turning around, but my hands ARE ON MY BACK. STOP. >> [laughter] >> My hands are right here. My hands are right here. Give me your hand right now. >> MY HAND IS RIGHT HERE. My hands are right here. >> Get on your stomach. >> ON YOUR STOMACH. >> It was only a matter of time before the cops got fed up with him and put handcuffs on him for being so stubborn. All he had to do was give his name and he probably would have walked away with only a ticket. Sometimes the sheer stupidity of people isn't just baffling, it's downright unbelievable. [screaming] >> MY NAME IS CALEB. YOU DON'T THINK YOU GUYS SAID my name is >> My NAME IS CALEB. >> STOP. GET ON YOUR BELLY RIGHT NOW. >> GET ON YOUR STOMACH. >> GET [screaming] ON YOUR STOMACH. >> GET ON YOUR STOMACH. >> GET ON YOUR STOMACH. >> YOU GOT 3 SECONDS. GET YOUR STOMACH. GET ON YOUR STOMACH. >> [screaming] >> STOP IT. STOP IT RIGHT NOW. >> OKAY. BUT LOOK, I JUST SET MY HAND. LOOK, >> I'M RESISTING. >> I'M not resisting, sir. You just illegally searched. >> Taser deployed. >> You just illegally arrested me. >> Taser deployed. We got one custody. >> That's a my name is Caleb. >> Even though he finally told the cop that his name's Caleb, it was already too late. They gave him multiple warnings, but he still chose to obstruct their investigation. If he'd given the cops his name right when they'd asked, he probably wouldn't have been tasered. >> Why do you just listen, Caleb? >> I just said [laughter] you JUST SAID MY NAME, CALEB, AND YOU JUST tas me, bro. I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU, BRO. >> I'm roll. >> I don't have no life, bro. I don't have nothing, bro. I don't have nothing, bro. >> I don't have nothing, bro. I don't have the bag. Stop. >> Okay, look. Stop. Stop. >> Okay, >> stop. >> When we tell you to do something, you do it. >> I JUST SAID MY NAME CALEB AND HE JUST HIT ME. I JUST SAID MY NAME IS CALEB. >> E, MAN. >> Roll over. >> You just said I don't have nothing, bro. >> Y'all just seen Y just seen what he did. I just said my [ __ ] kill. You just said my [ __ ] Caleb. It's all on video, bro. >> It is on video. YOU SAID CALEB, TOO. YOU SAID CALEB, TOO. MAN, I'm >> still refusing to give me your name. >> I just said Caleb, man. YOU JUST SAID MY NAME CALEB, BRO. >> CLEARLY, the cops were struggling to do their body search as he made futile attempts to wriggle out of their grip. While they didn't find knives or guns on him, they weren't taking any chances. So, they took the bag he was carrying for further inspection. >> One more chance. I'll probably tell my name. >> I need you to stand up. >> You're going to jail now. >> For what? For what? >> I'm going to talk. >> All right. FOR WHAT? >> CALL 911. I'M GOING TO DIE. >> CALL 911. >> I JUST SAID MY NAME IS CALEB. YOU CAN SEARCH ME. I DON'T HAVE NOTHING. >> I'VE GOT TO SEARCH YOU. >> Shut up. Shut up. >> FOR WHAT? I JUST SAID MY NAME. THAT'S ILLEGAL. THAT'S ILLEGAL. That's illegal, man. My My wrist is broke. My wrist IS BROKE, MAN. HEY, LOOK. Can I LEAVE ALL MY STUFF IN THERE? HEY. HEY. HEY. HEY. HEY, CAN YOU I'M GOING TO DIE. I'M GOING TO PASS OUT. CAN YOU ALL MY CUFFS? MY HANDS IS HURT. MY HAND IS HURT. MY HAND IS HURT. MY HAND IS HURT. MY HAND IS HURT. CAN YOU CAN YOU LISTEN TO my c? Hey, look. Cal all my stuff in my bag, man. >> When the man realized the cops were going to search his bag, he started to panic. And it's that kind of erratic behavior that will surely raise red flags. So the question is, what's he trying to hide in that bag? >> What are you yelling about? I can't hear you cuz you're yelling. >> Okay, look, the officer, he said first he said I legally, he first said, "I legally cross the road." Okay, >> so he immediately asked me. He said, "Look, look, it's on my video." He said, "Kale, what is your name?" So why is he keep asking my name and then then when I finally decided to tell my name, I said, "Kale." He turned ON AND JUST PUNCHED ME. It's all on camera. And I'm trying to go home. I already got a court date. I'm trying to go home and handle my business, sir. Can I just please >> Okay. Is smashing the car going to do anything for you? >> MY HAND IS BROKE RIGHT NOW. HE >> OKAY, we have the fire department coming. Okay. FD's coming right now. >> No, it's all video. >> Listen to me. Listen to me. Just listen to me for a second. You thrashing around and smashing things. Is that going to fix anything? >> FD is in route. I can't change how fast they get here, but they >> is beating right now. >> They're coming to beating right now, man. >> Did you hear me? Yes, sir. They are coming to check. They're coming to They're coming to check you out, but you have to be cooperative. >> You have to calm down. >> We'll talk about the other stuff. Number one, we're going to check to make sure you're okay, >> but you have to calm down. If you keep kicking and banging and acting, >> my hand is broke right now. >> The officer told Caleb that the fire department was on its way so they could check his hand out, which he claimed had been broken. One thing is clear. With a court date already looming, having another arrest under his belt was not going to make things easier for him. >> All right, very slowly. Your uh your right leg come out. >> I can't even move my leg. >> I got you. My heart feels like >> I know. That's why we're getting you help here. Okay. So, go ahead and lay down. Head this way. Okay. And then rotate. Thank you, buddy. >> Yeah, but actually you talking about somebody yard. That's what you said, actually. >> My name's Anthony. Which Which hands hurting, buddy? before like when he when he when he illegally assaulted me. >> I don't know how that works. >> When he illegally has squeeze for anybody, >> I can't squeeze. >> While in the hospital, he continued making a scene, cursing at the cops, and also making racist comments. Then, while they were trying to read him his rights, he pretended to fall asleep twice, only to magically wake up and continue hurling abuse at them. just hang right here. I guess double check. >> No, I said I got money in my shoe box. >> Okay. >> Where's your shoe box at? >> My car. >> Okay. Yeah, I need that, >> bro. >> I DON'T HAVE ANY LIGHTS. YOU'RE HURTING MY LEG. >> YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM OFF. >> OKAY. Take off or you hurting my leg, bro. >> I'm not doing anything. >> Let it take off. Cut them off. >> All right, perfect. >> Move your leg up on your own. >> All right, baby. >> Next one. They charged the man with a felony count of resisting a law enforcement officer using violence, a misdemeanor for resisting without violence, and a felony charge for criminal mischief. On the 18th of August 2022, the cops pulled a man over as he was driving with an expired tag. Instead of cooperating with basic orders, he then started to argue his nonsensical version of the law. and in the process mortified his girlfriend. >> I'm not a driver. >> Okay. Well, you are driving on the roadways in the state of Florida. So, I need your driver's license or your identification. >> Like I said, I'm not driving. >> Okay. Well, I am conducting a lawful stop. You are required to present me your identification. So, I'll take whatever identification you have. >> Okay. I I don't carry identification unless someone's going to pay me for my name. My name is registered as my property. >> Okay. >> So, >> so what's your name? >> Okay. Uh, I'm just recording this for the record. I'm not driving or operating a vehicle for high and my name is byitionally accepting your off. >> The man was spewing legal statements that made no sense whatsoever and bizarrely demanded the officer pay him $500. It's hard to tell whether he was just trolling the cop or if he really believed his nonsense, but he's most likely serious given that he is a sovereign citizen. >> You will be arrested if you do not present some type of identification. >> Really? >> Excuse me. >> I said really? >> Yes, sir. Really? >> Why do I need to provide identification? >> You are operating a road a vehicle on the roadways in the state of Florida. Sir, with all due respect, you're behind the driver's in the driver's seat behind the steering wheel. >> I've been in the driver's seat. >> Now, if you want to try and prove in court that I'm driving or operating a vehicle for hire, but [music] I'm stating for the record that I'm not driving or operating, >> sir. I've been behind you since you're on Babcock. Okay. >> You've been in that seat the entire time. >> Your script from your Fraternal Order of Police. I'm telling you on the record, I'm not driving or operating. That's that's an issue. and if you want my name, it's $500 back. >> Okay. >> As we witnessed earlier, sovereign citizens try to evade traffic laws by simply saying they're not driving. They instead claim that they're simply traveling. In addition, they also think the laws don't apply to them if they're driving a vehicle for private or nonwork-related reasons. >> Okay. Go ahead and step out of the vehicle for me. Sir, >> I can step out of the vehicle. >> You can step out of the vehicle for me. >> I can step out of the vehicle for $500. >> Step out of the vehicle. Roll over >> on your stomach. >> Okay, sir. At this time, you are being placed under arrest. You will be registered as a John Doe until you are properly identified. >> But I already said I'm not driving or operating. >> Okay. Well, yes, sir. You are. >> No, I'm not. I'm not driving or operating a vehicle. >> Ma'am, do you have a valid driver's license? May I see it, please? >> Thank you. Can I speak to a supervisor because I'm still in honor and you're arresting me? >> Sovereign citizens sometimes claim that they're being arrested quote unquote in honor. It's a nonsense term they use trying to assert their perceived liberty from both government and law. You can't help but wonder how they all end up spouting the same bizarre word salad like it's been passed around in some secret softset playbook. Sit down. I can't. >> Royalty side. Me and these are >> Wait, wait. You're hurting me. >> Royalty side. >> Yeah, I know. But these cops are on too. >> All right. >> My phone is still recording. >> Yes, sir. We'll make sure you have your phone. >> But I want that on the record. >> Okay. Well, here here. As a matter of fact, you can continue recording. I'll stick in your pocket. >> I already conditionally accepted all of his offers for my schedule and he's >> on your person before you going back to my car. >> This will be his right here. And still recording. I'll answer any questions for $100 question. >> Anything on your personal >> I will answer that question for $100 for me. >> You don't have the right. You can search me for $500 cash. I'm conditionally accepting all your offers for my fee schedule. >> There's no charge for that. >> And you can Yeah, there is I I'm in honor. >> After repeatedly failing to get the suspect to identify himself, the cop returned to his car to look for answers. As things turned out, that very embarrassed passenger in the car was his girlfriend. Okay, ma'am. >> Could you fill me in on what's going on here? [snorts] >> I don't know. I don't understand his thing. >> I don't understand that. He's I don't know. >> Okay. How do you know him? >> He's my boyfriend. >> Okay. >> I don't understand all that stuff we talk. So, >> Oh, you're trained on this at the Fraternal Order of Police. I'm an expert on honor and I'm in honor. >> Okay. What's his name? What? >> Is this his vehicle? >> From what I Yeah, I mean I think it's >> Okay, I'll be right back. >> Cuz you're resisting. Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting. I'm not resisting if I'm conditionally accepting my fee schedule. You know, I'm telling >> you're [clears throat] going in the car. I'll get in the car for $500. >> No, you're forcing me. I'll get in the car. >> I already conditionally accepted your offer for money. >> Get in the car. >> Get in the car. You're assaulting and battering me and you're violating my rights. I conditionally accept offer. >> No, dude. You can't put me in jail. >> You can't do this. You guys are going into dis. >> Thankfully, his girlfriend wasn't foolish enough to ignore the officer's demands. However, she did give his name up, so she might get a mark of dishonor in her boyfriend's deranged sovereign citizen worldview. >> So, I get behind him the backpack and uh New Haven. and his package fired. Light him up as soon as he comes right. Keeps driving, driving, driving. Comes in here, parks in here, >> and he starts pulling that sovereign citizen stuff as soon as I got him pulled over. I'm not driving. I'm traveling. And they refused to identify himself unless I paid him $500,000. The vehicle is not registered to him. >> I don't understand why he's playing this game. His license is valid, which means he he submitted to being a lawful citizen at one point. After doing some research, the cops found out that the car didn't belong to him and was really his mother's. They then told the girlfriend that unless his mom could pick the car up, she'd have to find a ride home. Sadly, when they tried to call his mother, she didn't pick up. >> All right, here's your ID back. And uh do you have somebody else who can come pick you up? >> Uh it's actually his mom's car. So, um more than likely not. We'll go over and try talking to him again, but he's obviously not very cooperative. So, >> I'll be right back. Right. >> Uh, just leave it on top of the roof. No, it's it's actually his mom's car. So, >> hello. Um, what is your how is your relationship with his mother? >> I mean, we know >> like she can give you a ride and all that kind of stuff. >> I would hope so. >> Okay, no big deal. I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable with that, too, cuz I believe she's going to have to come and pick up the vehicle. >> And I don't know how she's going to do that cuz she wants to drive this car. Have you guys talked to her? >> Uh, they're calling her now. >> Well, do you have a driver's license? >> Yeah, he checked. >> You can drive her car. >> Well, that's what I asked him and he said, >> "You can't drive this car, though. The problem is you're not any registered owner of the vehicle or any of that kind of thing." >> So, she shows up. >> If she shows up, she can take this car and you can take her car. >> I know it sounds kind of weird. >> I don't know. let me do that. But >> it's all a possession and um with the relationship and things like that. >> So even if she said I could drive this car, >> well, we we'll cross that bridge when she gets here. If she says it's okay, that may be a different aspect. >> In the United States, the most common consequence for driving without a valid tag is a fine for repeat offenders. Also, the car can be impounded. In this case, however, due to his unwillingness to cooperate, he'll probably be facing a whole lot more than a simple fine. >> Hey, sir. Quick question. No, keep your feet in the car. Do not get out of the car. Do you understand me right now? >> I'll stay in the car for $100. >> Listen, you're saying >> I'll stay in the car for $100. That's my condition. Acceptance. >> How is your relationship with your mother? >> She's probably sleeping right now. Look, I'll answer all your questions for $100 per question. Cash in writing. >> Okay. Well, I'm trying to figure out what we're doing with your vehicle. Well, you're taking me for no reason. I That's not a vehicle. >> That's not a vehicle. It's a car. She's 85 years old. And I'll answer all the rest of your questions for $100. >> After failing to reach his mother, the cops had no choice and had to tow the car. The suspect was charged with resisting an officer and posted bun that same day. His case is ongoing, but he's now increased his fee. In a letter to the court, he's now claiming the cops owe him $15 million. It was a pretty bold move given he's a full-g grown man driving his mother's car. On the 30th of May 2023 in Arkansas, after the cops approached a suspected sovereign citizen, things really got chaotic. Allegedly, while trespassing on their property, man had threatened some workers. He claimed he was indigenous and also above the law. And very quickly, the arrest spiraled out of control. [music] Sir, >> I'm in Mario Park. When you come into the right [music] in front, you got to go to the back here. >> I'm in nail. >> You're what? >> I'm in there nail. How you doing, sir? >> I'm doing fine. >> Listen. >> Well, listen. When I'm talking, you know what I'm saying? Listen, >> you don't really have You don't have authority. >> I do. I have authority. Trust me. Put the stick down. First of all, >> put the stick down. >> What am I doing? >> Okay. Because I'm not going to approach you with a stick on there. Okay. Indigenous. >> Yeah, right. I don't care what you are. Put the stick down. >> I'm indigenous. >> You You're fixing to get living up. Okay. Put the stick down. >> Mr. S, what we going to do? Come on. >> Put the stick down. >> I know you. You know me. >> Okay. I don't remember you. Okay. >> Remember me from Kroger's? >> Kroger. Okay. If Okay. If you remember me, then you listen to me, right? >> The suspect claimed to know the cop from Kroger, a local grocery store. Even so, when the officer told him to drop that stick, he refused to comply. It appeared the man was going to make things difficult, not just for himself, but also for the officer who was trying to protect the public and simply do his job. >> This is indigenous land. >> Obviously, something is going on with you. I don't know, but you need to put that stick down. Okay. I'm asking you please put the stick down. >> Yeah, but I'm saying I don't consent to your authority. >> You will consent to my authority. >> What I'm saying is >> as a law enforcement officer, I'm ask giving you a lawful order to put that stick down over me. Okay, put the stick down. >> You're not going to fall with me, man. >> Okay, >> come on. >> Put the stick down. >> I I'm not threat I'm not I'm not I'm not I'm not threatening. >> Put the stick down. >> I'm not threatening none of that. >> Okay, put the stick down. >> I'm standing my ground and everything, man. Please don't disrespect me. Please. Please. I'm not disrespecting your >> Look, I'm asking you to give me an order. Put the stick down. >> Who are you to give me an order on land? >> A police officer. >> He eventually put the stick down. [music] And with backup on the way, it seemed like the cop could move in a bit and approach him. But the man refused to follow orders, even with the very real threat of being hit by a taser. >> Okay, back up. >> I'm indigenous. >> Back up. >> You coming to my You coming >> back up. It's not a back up. >> I I I >> don't care. Back up. Back up. >> I'm indigenous, man. You back up. >> I'm not Listen, man. Listen. >> Listen. You listen to me. Okay. >> Listen to me. >> No, you listen to me. I'm giving you a lawful order. Okay. >> Right. >> Okay. Your right now to remain silent. I put your hands behind your back. >> No. I'm not let you call her. >> Okay. You know what? You're under arrest. You're under arrest. You're doing the conduct. Go ahead and put your hands behind your back. >> No. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> No, Mr. No. No. I didn't do nothing of of any authority, sir. I'm indigenous. >> No, man. No. No. >> All I'm saying is that you approach me, you will get >> approaching you. You stay right there until my partners get here. They get here, you better put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. I already told you. >> WHAT ARE YOU? LISTEN, >> DUDE. I AM OUT HERE WITH MY FATHER IN CHURCH. >> ALL RIGHT. >> I AM NOT. NO, I AM NOT. NO, I'm not letting y'all disrespect me. No. No. >> Put your hands behind your back, sir. >> No, I'm not doing that. >> With a second officer already on scene, the suspect here might finally back down. But given his behavior so far, it seemed a little unlikely. This guy seemed hellbent on making the officer's job as difficult as possible. Once everything backfires and he's been caught, he'll be getting a string of charges that he's bound to regret. >> Please not. Please do not engage. >> Why are you not compliant? Why you not listening? >> Listen, man. I'm out here with my father. >> For your safety of mine, I'm going to put you in cuffs right now. >> No, for your safety. Leave me. Are you going TO FIGHT ME? >> WHY YOU APPROACHING ME? >> Cuz we have to. >> No, you don't. >> He got called to you. >> But I'm saying this. Listen, man. >> No. He's already under arrest with the >> No, I'm not under arrest. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND. >> NO, I DON'T WANT TO. >> PLEASE DON'T. PLEASE DON'T TOUCH ME, MAN. DON'T TOUCH ME, MAN. Please don't touch me. >> WHICH ONE YOU GOING TO FIGHT ME FOR? >> Get on THE KNEES. >> NO, I'M NOT. GET ON MY KNEES. >> Resisting arrest is never a smart move. Surely by that point, he's probably realized already that he's bound to go to jail no matter what. Going quietly and accepting his fate was the only logical action for him. But somehow, logic seemed to be a trait that he didn't possess. >> I'M NOT. >> NO, I'M NOT. >> HOLD ON. Don't touch me. Please don't touch me. Don't touch me. Stop touching me. Get off me. I didn't do nothing. >> I didn't break no law. I'M NOT DOING NOTHING. >> WHY ARE you chasing me? >> STOP. >> STOP RIGHT THERE. >> LEAVE ME ALONE. Leave me alone. Stop. STOP. JOSHUA, I haven't done this too long. >> No, no, no, no. >> In just a pair of shorts, the suspect could run more freely than the officers given their very bulky uniforms. Meanwhile, the blistering heat would only make things harder for them as they struggled to keep up. Regardless, the suspect had nowhere to go, and there was only one way this chase could end. >> No. No. Get off of me. >> Get up off of me. Stop. >> Get up off of me. >> Stop. I think it's >> Yeah, you got warrant. Not I don't think they'll >> I don't think they'll uh take anyway. >> Come on, man. Mr. S, you know you won't, man. >> Yeah. >> Is that one of y'all? It's mine. They >> ripped it off of me. >> Body camera just pulled in. >> Yeah, >> y'all wrong, man. This is injustice. As an indigenous being, I have the right as an indigenous man to not be coerced. >> During the altercation, the suspect grabbed hold of a cop's finger and bent it backwards, leaving it swollen and bruised. Battery on an officer is a serious offense. Under Arkansas law, potentially you could face years behind bars and also be forced to pay thousands in fines. >> You are trash, man. AS INDIGENOUS MAN, YOU TRASH. >> WELL, get your hands off of me. >> Yeah, >> I ain't going to spit on him. >> I don't know what you >> I know. You don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm telling you is I know what y'all going to do. >> Y'all going TO RIDE IN HELL. >> WHAT? >> You touch the right one. >> Yeah. with y. Yeah. YEAH. WE GO DOWN LIKE THAT. It go down like that. >> I don't want no seat belt on for what? I didn't call y'all down here. Our law. >> It's not the law. >> What's me? >> Right before the door shut, the suspect spat at the officer. That's on top of injuring the other cop's finger. He'd already injured one cop, and that kind of behavior won't do him any favors at all once he's down at the jail house. They took the man to the Pilaski County Jail in Little Rock, and clearly he'll have to answer for his behavior. >> Finally, he's been here He was doing harassing him and uh >> he threatened him, you know, stuff like that. [music] >> And then uh Huh. >> So you got to hold my finger and stuff. >> Oh yeah, that's fine. Um and then once I once I got a hold of hold him, I was not going to let go, >> you know.
