Hey, GET YOUR HANDS UP. HANDS UP. HANDS UP. YOU GOING TO GET BIT. Hold him. Dylan. Dylan. Dylan. >> When criminals think they can escape, police dogs transform from man's best friend to their worst enemy. Whether suspects are hiding drugs or making a run for it, delivering justice can be fast, fierce, and ferocious. When K9 units take down bad guys. >> Shut the up. >> You hurt me. >> Shut up. >> You hurt me. >> That's not the payment. That's grass. >> On the 5th of August 2023, officers got reports that a man named Jeffrey had violated a protective order. The person who sought the protective order also warned that the man might have a homemade bomb inside his car. Upon arrival, they cautiously approached him. >> Hey. Hey, get your hands up. Get your hands up. Get your hands up. Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. Don't move. We'll explain here IN A MINUTE. GET ON YOUR BELLY. >> Get on your belly. GET ON YOUR BELLY. >> I'LL EXPLAIN YOU IN A MINUTE. GET on your belly. Get on your belly. Get on the ground, Jeffrey. GET ON THE GROUND. WE'LL EXPLAIN THERE. GET ON THE GROUND. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET ON THE GROUND. WE'RE GOING TO EXPLAIN THAT. GET ON THE GROUND. HEY. HEY. Just get in the car. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. GET OUT OF THE CAR. Talk about it. Don't move if you don't want to do it. >> Put your hands up. >> YOU VIOLATED PROTECTION ORDER. GET OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP. >> LET ME SEE YOUR ASS. LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. JEFFREY, LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS. [screaming] >> OKAY. OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. STEP OUT HERE. THE DOG GETS IN. [screaming] WE'RE GOING TO SEND THIS DOG. COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP. GET YOUR HANDS UP. We're going to save THIS DOG. >> They were ready to send the canine, but since Jeffree was still communicating with them, they thought things might be resolved peacefully. However, Jeffrey didn't seem to want to take the easy decision of complying with the officers. >> Hey, listen to me. >> Bring your unit on this side. >> I'm a supervisor. I want you to listen to me. Step out of the vehicle with your arms up. Hands up. >> Hey, he's grabbing something. He's grabbing. You're under arrest for violation of a protection order. You're going to jail. >> I'm going to tell you if you'll step out. I've got a K9 here. >> You're under arrest. >> 13184. We got cover. >> I'm not going to shoot you. >> I want you to step out of the way. through the grass. >> He's stuck. He ain't going nowhere. >> Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. >> Get out. >> The man's decision to flee from the cops probably meant a felony charge. What concerned the cops the most was there was still a concern that there was a bomb inside the vehicle. So, they were keen on pursuing the man and making sure he was safely taken off the road. Keep fasting for right now. >> 158. Uh, we got people waving us down at boardwalk. He's parked his car and fled. Once again, some units get out by his vehicle and start asking him. He couldn't have made it as far as files yet. >> Why? >> The walls were slowly closing in on Jeffrey. Earlier, he'd taken refuge in his car, and the cops were hesitant to approach him due to the potential bomb inside. But at this point, he was out in a wooded area and the cops had a canine that they were more than willing to set loose. >> Yeah, best I can see. It's clear. >> I just seen that tree move. [music] There breaking right there. Watch 158. There's a concrete path that runs to the south side of Harbor Freight. There's trees breaking and moving. [laughter] >> Let's go. Come on. Come on. Hey. Come on. Go. Go hide. Spook. >> Hey, come on. WE'RE GOING TO PRESENT THE DOG. >> WELL, HE said we got him over here in the woods. >> It appeared that Jeffrey had finally given up. However, given his unpredictable behavior earlier, the cops still anticipated that he could still try to run away. It would be a pretty dumb move, though, as there was no way he'd outrun the canine. >> Y'ALL BE CAREFUL OF DOGS. COME ON. WELL, A DOG COMING IN. >> HEY, COME STRAIGHT FORWARD. >> All right. Come on. >> Now, YOU GOT TWO SECONDS OF THAT DOG'S COMING. MOVE your When you HIT THIS PATCH RIGHT HERE, YOU GO DOWN TO YOUR FACE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? >> DOWN TO YOUR FACE. MOVE NOW. >> I'M TRYING. >> You ran. You can get your DOWN NOW. ON YOUR FACE. NOW. ON YOUR FACE NOW. >> ON YOUR FACE. >> DOWN. >> HEY, sit down. >> If a canine bites you, it can cause very severe injury, disfigurement, and even disability. Sometimes a canine doesn't need to be set loose, and the threat alone is enough to make criminal suspects turn themselves in. As for Jeffrey, it was the first sensible decision he'd made all day. >> My glasses. >> Hand behind your glasses. >> Right hand down. >> RIGHT HAND DOWN. >> [screaming] [laughter] >> ALL RIGHT. MY glasses right here. >> I got them. >> All right. They're in your back pocket. >> It is. You're right. >> Yeah. If you were to come out and talk to us, we wouldn't be here. Now you got felony charges. >> My back. My neck hurts when I got punched. >> You didn't get punched in the neck. Go. I might hit. >> Well, cuz you just ran a bunch of way. >> You didn't get punched in the head cuz I'm the one that hit you and I hit you right here >> in a pressure point and I and I will not take that report for you, too. >> I'm not ready. >> I'm not ready. I'm not ready. I can't do it. Well, you're going to get up right now. We got to go. >> Just stand me up and let me get some rest. >> All right. somebody. >> The cops are allowed to use pressure points to detain suspects, but only when they're actively resisting. As for the officer, he was following guidelines regarding necessary force. And to sum things up, Jeffree made that level of force necessary. However, Jeffrey wasn't quite finished playing the victim yet. Shut the up. You hurt me. >> SHUT UP. YOU HURT ME. >> That's not the payment. That's grass. >> You don't pull away from us. >> We tried to walk you out. >> Things are not happening on your terms any longer. You ran from us. You fought with us. >> They're not on your terms. We have a life net coming in the neck. Yes, I did. You get out. Get out. Listen. Get out. sit down. Shut the hell up. You had the right TO BE SILENT. I >> I DON'T UNDERSTAND NOTHING. >> SHUT UP. >> I DON'T UNDERSTAND. >> I SHUT THE hell up. >> I don't understand what you're saying. Hey, >> you get out that dog going to be over here all you >> ain't getting anything right now. >> You got that? >> No, that's not But I'm not going to finish. That's for the law. >> Tell that to your lawyer. With the man apprehended, the bigger question was what he had inside his car. As far as that person he had the protective order with, if he brought a weapon to their home, he might be facing further charges. And as far as that went, if he really had a bomb in the car, it was going to be a whole lot worse. >> I'm scared. >> What is this, bro? >> Probably. >> We got more. Yeah, some more a little bit, I think. They're coming out. >> They're going to come out. Okay. >> Hey. Okay, stop. >> Come on. >> I'm coming, bro. >> All right, buddy. Let's >> pull. >> I'm not pulling. You'll get in. >> Yeah. I see white dots. >> You're good, man. You're good. >> Good job. >> Right on in. >> As well as sniffing people and narcotics, canines are also trained to sniff explosives. Shortly after, the cops found what they believed to be an explosive device and called specialist in to have it disarmed. With this new revelation, it was just one more charge on his very long list. >> Uh, in reference to the claims that the female made this morning, we found what she was talking about. We're about to block the road off. >> Hey, what up? Hey, calling you cuz I fleeing out here with some substance and stuff and uh we took a report this morning in reference to a violation of a no contact order and the lady said a protection order and the lady said that this dude may be coming here with a bomb. Well, we've had a fleeing and all that and we've searched the vehicle and we found something that has a fuse and everything. Are you Are you good? Are we good to have Chad come in and run it? >> Yeah, I'm okay with that. >> All right, everybody's here. Nobody's hurt. I'm going to call Chad and tell him to come run the dog at this vehicle. Like I said, it's a We took a report this morning. She said he had a homemade bomb and has made him before. And sure enough, after we chase him and fight with him, there's one in the vehicle. Jeffrey was charged with resisting arrest, criminal possession of explosives, firstdegree criminal mischief, violating a protective order, drug possession with intent to deliver, two counts of fleeing on foot, possession of drug, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. His bond was set at $21,500. On June 29th, 2024 in Ohio, police spotted a stolen Chevy Silverado occupied by four teenagers. The officer called for backup and tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped off, initiating a high-speed pursuit. 360. Ramy. It led to an incredibly dangerous situation where the suspect and police were racing through local streets at 80 mph. >> All right, radio headed back south 260 from North Lakeland. It's going to be a silver Chevy Silverado. Have speeds right now at 75. Light traffic. Roads are dry. >> Still southbound passing Cano. Half speeds at 80. Are you injured from the rain? >> Yeah. >> The stolen vehicle then turned on the highway with the suspect accelerating to 110 mph, weaving dangerously between lanes. In Ohio, if you injure a person while fleeing police, it becomes a felony. And that possibility was growing by the second. front end damage. I'll say on the passenger side. >> Yeah, it's got something wrong with this alignment radio. It's It's wobbling. All right, we're traveling 90 westbound. Vehicle speeds are 85 milesPH. Road conditions and weather please. Road condition. Speed 95 mph. Traffic is moderate. 91 cross street just passing 200. The cops diligently kept chasing the vehicle, but they were cautious about getting too close as there were hundreds of cars on the road and an accident could be eminent. But as they exited the highway, the driver's luck ran out. >> Big time crash. Big time crash. Roll squad 156. You hit a pedestrian. John Union Lincoln 3268. They're bot on foot. THEY GOT GUNS. >> Getting off there. Get off here. [screaming] [groaning] >> Get out the WAY. GET OUT THE WAY. >> Did they get off at 156 after crashing into a vehicle and hitting a telephone pole, the teens abandoned their car and scattered in different directions. Later on, in the back of the truck, the cops recovered a Smith and Wesson. One of the teens ran into an art gallery nearby and inside the owner attempted to apprehend the suspect. They just ran into a garage. Stay right behind him. He's Jerry Smith. I wanted HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. BEHIND THE SHOP. >> ONE MORE MAN BEHIND THE SHOP. >> I GOT HANDCUFF COVER THE REAR. >> HEY, RIGHT IN THE BACK. Handcuff him. >> You want my hand? >> My one in custody. >> With three suspects still at large, the cops got help from another good Samaritan. This time, a bystander told them that he'd seen one of the suspects hiding behind a house. >> Which way? You went this way. >> He's right here. GOING THAT WAY. He's coming back towards you guys. Back to the original place. >> I didn't do nothing. I did my father. I DIDN'T DO NOTHING. >> On my do, sir. I'm telling you. You were in the car? >> No. God, I wasn't on my I was I was not in the car. >> Who else is with you? >> Is there another one? >> I don't know. I wasn't with nobody. I JUST GOT BACK FROM MY MY DUDE WITH MY FRIEND, BRO. >> We got one. >> Is there another one? >> I don't I get money, bro. I can't go to jail. >> Spread your likes. To find the last two suspects, the canine unit was called in and the dog led officers to an overgrown yard. Dogs possess up to 300 million alactory receptors, which they used to detect smells. Human beings, meanwhile, only possess 6 million. That's why police dogs prove to be valuable members of the police force. >> I think this is where they I think this is where they caught that one kid who was barefoot. >> He came up in here and he loses. That's why I kind of wanted to go back that way, but we'll see if we can get Hey, show your hand. SHOW ME YOUR HAND. SHOW ME YOUR HAND. GET YOUR HAND. HEY, YOU >> GOING TO GET DRUNK, [ __ ] >> GET THE DEAD. >> 1033 made contact. DO the man. >> I got a man. Let me pat him down. >> Yep. >> Any more of your buddies in there, man? >> Is there a gun back there? If a kid finds that gun, I'm charging you with >> Okay, >> that's why you hold the perimeter, by the way. >> Yeah, good job. >> Three of the suspects were now heading to jail, but there was still one teenager missing. Suddenly, coming from the wilderness, the cops heard something suspicious. >> [snorts] >> Dude, now I really want to get the last one dog. >> No, [music] dude. >> Oh, >> maybe that's where the kid jumped over. [snorts] >> Of course, notberries. [laughter] keeps looking out >> on top of this garage. >> Yeah. >> Dude, I fall through that. >> NO, THAT'S TERRIBLE. >> LET ME SEE. >> 10:33. 10:33. >> 10:33. >> LET ME GO. LET ME [screaming] GO. LET ME GO. HE GOT ME. He got me. He got me. [screaming] >> I got to go to the hospital, bro. [laughter] >> Hands behind your back. >> Once they finally caught up with him, they charged the driver with weapons violations and felonious assault on an officer. He had a lengthy criminal record and they discovered his DNA inside several stolen Kia. He was given a 2-year suspended sentence and is on probation with a GPS monitor. As for the other teenagers, they face charges for receiving stolen property, obstructing justice, and for carrying weapons. On the 19th of August, 2023 in Ocala, Florida, the cops responded to a shooting at the Carlton Arms Apartments. Upon arrival, they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her right leg. She was taken to the hospital and straight away the cops began searching for the shooter. >> Street. >> Where'd he go? >> Where did he go? >> He's running south. black shirt, go down. >> It's right there. Right there. >> GET DOWN. GET ON THE GROUND. >> GET DOWN ON [screaming] THE GROUND. DOWN ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. >> DON'T DO THAT. >> GET OFF THE CAR NOW. >> GET OFF [screaming] THE CAR. >> GET OFF THE CAR NOW. >> What the What the Get off the car. Get off the car. >> Bravo for 1855. Stop first. >> I got cops. I got cops. >> Come on, MAN. BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> OKAY. OKAY. Got him. Got him. Got him. OKAY. GET THAT DOG. >> GET BACK. >> GET IN YOUR VEHICLE. >> GET IN YOUR VEHICLE RIGHT NOW. >> GET THAT DOG OFF my back. >> Get in your vehicle. I GOT TO DO THAT. LET ME GET MY phone to start. Pull the bottom of the shoe off. >> They identified the man as Dante Davis and he was the prime suspect. Eyewitnesses claimed that the previous day Dante and the victim had been arguing on the phone. It was alleged that Dante ran across the parking lot, fired multiple shots as he approached, and then fled the scene. >> You got a warrant for your arrest. All right, sir. >> What? >> You, Mr. Davis, you got a warrant for your arrest. >> No. >> Yes, sir. >> For what? >> ROLL OVER. >> FOR WHAT? >> BRING YOUR KNEES TO YOUR NECK. >> FOR WHAT, BRO? >> LIFT UP. COME ON. >> Can you tell me for what? >> You, Mr. Davis, you got a war, man. [snorts] >> Wait, wait, wait. >> Multiple. >> Wait, wait. >> What's wrong? >> I can't stand. >> All right. You walk over to the patrol car. We'll let you lean up against him. >> I got you. >> Come on. >> I got you. You're >> mama. >> Why did you do that to me? >> What did I do? >> Despite his claims of innocence, Dante had a prior criminal record, including sexual assault charges as well as battery. The cops called EMS to evaluate him as he was visibly in pain from being bitten. >> My car is back there. Make sure it's secure. >> OH MY GOD. NEXT STREET UP. TWO HOUSE OVER. >> OH MY GOD. >> Oh my god. >> Oh my god. >> You got warrants. >> Let me tell you a little bit. >> Oh my god. Mama, >> MAMA. RELAX. >> All right. MOM, [screaming] >> YOU GOING, >> MAN? COME ON, MAN. The first car. [clears throat] >> Don't let him do this. >> As the cops stepped out of their patrol car, and while Dante was treated, they noticed Dante's mother who showed up in her vehicle. The mother's presence just added one more level of chaos. >> What did I do? >> What did I do, Mom? >> I'm asking them. Not even telling me. >> Hey, Morgan. >> They're not telling me what did I do. We're not going to get any. >> No, I wouldn't. What do you mean? I didn't >> NO, I DIDN'T. >> I SEE. I WAS SCARED, BRO. I didn't know where the >> stop. >> I was coming through the put a gun on me. >> What's your name, bud? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay, Mom. Mom. Huh? Mama. >> He needs to be searched before he goes on the stretcher. >> Is anyone can put the cuffs on the front so he's not sitting on his >> As soon as we get a search done on him, we can evaluate that. But we need to pat him down. >> Did anybody get involved with that? >> I'm not sure. I don't think I got nothing on me, bro. >> I don't do nothing. >> This is ridiculous. This is ridiculous, man. >> That's fine. I'm looking for weapons. >> All right, hold on. Hold tight. >> Dante's mother had a right to witness the arrest as long as she didn't interfere with things and she was repeatedly asked to step back. That being said, given how injured her son was, it's understandable that her maternal instinct kicked in and she wanted to check on her son. But if Dante was guilty of the crimes he committed, he deserved no such sympathy. >> Okay. Okay. This a public sidewalk. Your sidewalk right here. Go to the sidewalk. >> Go to the sidewalk right now. >> You can hold on to the This is his phone he had on his person. Ring to take it short. >> It's going to be SW 94 Street. complaint that her ex-boyfriend waiting >> and is threatening to get that complaint kicked out. She's requesting a call out for whether or not she should go home. >> While she was following the police, the cops found out she was driving a vehicle she wasn't authorized to use. And it was the very same car that had recently been involved in a traffic stop. Despite his attempts to run from police and his criminal history, she continued defending him. >> Did you Did you take the vehicle from a stop after it was initiated after somebody ran on foot? IS THAT WHAT HAPPENED? >> Were you obstructing our investigation at that time? >> See what y'all doing to my child? >> Were you obstructing our investigation by taking a vehicle? I think you were. I believe you were. >> The last time y'all LET THE DOGS GET BEAT MY CHILD. Y'all beat my child. I GOT FIVE OF Y'ALL FIRED THE LAST TIME. TRUST ME, I got the FBI involved last time. I got you last time. >> You can call CIA. >> My child last time. >> That wasn't sheriff. >> No, that was police department right there. Don't tell >> I know about it. >> No, they got you. >> Sheriff County Police Department. >> Well, they don't have police department. >> That doesn't exist. >> OPD police department. They arrested Dante and his bond was set at $29,000. He faced felony charges for attempted fleeing and eluding and two counts of resisting a law enforcement officer without violence. On the 11th of January 2025, the cops responded to a neighborhood where a man had been randomly setting fires outside people's homes. The suspect, a man named Floyd, was known to local residents, but his motive remained unclear. When the officers arrived, they started speaking to residents. >> Why is this happening to me on my birthday week? >> Happy birthday week. >> What's going on? >> Can I help you guys? >> Do you know Adrien? >> Yes. >> She called us. >> Oh, yes. Someone came. This guy named Floyd came to our house. >> He's got her phone number. >> Yes. >> Tell her to come outside. You know Floyd? >> Not really, but we've been having issues with this guy. >> Does he stay here? >> No, he doesn't. Af Freddy, he comes and visits, but he comes and makes a horrible maid too far here. He said two fires in my backyard. >> Mhm. >> Oh, you live here? >> I live here. >> Oh, okay. Who else lives here? Adrian lives here. >> Adrian stays here. I I took them in. >> Okay. How do we know it was Floyd? >> She's going to tell you. >> Oh, okay. She's going to tell you. >> I'm just wondering >> like I'm trying to figure out, okay, he needs to be Marshall at He needs to be Go ahead. Go ahead and do that. We need y'all to do that. >> Okay, >> Adrian, step outside. They're here. The police are here. They want you to step outside, but he needs to be marching ASAP. >> You guys got to go to the courthouse for that. We if if we if we talk to him and he meets our baker act criteria, we can baker him. >> He meets the criteria. >> How you yelling at me? >> I'm not I'm just giving you how >> I'm just saying but we have an emergency criteria. For some reason he normalizes by the time we speak to him like I'm fine. >> The Baker Act is a Florida law which allows the cops to transport someone for involuntary psychiatric evaluation. Floyd had a criminal record that included drug possession, which might be another factor behind his behavior. Whatever the case was, he posed an immediate threat to those around him and possibly to himself. >> He just went inside the house and broke one of our big old $1,500 TV. >> Well, he go to jail for that. >> I'm not I'm not going to make her active for that. >> He stole some He didn't tore up this man's car. Tow up her ass car. >> He's going to get Bradshaw acted, not not Baker acting. >> He set He done set fires throughout my house. And I've had the fire department over here twice. And this is beyond beyond everything. So, are you the home owner? >> I'm the person that owns the property that takes care of the property. I know the the the property person that owns it, but I'm the one that takes care of it. >> But she lives here full time. >> She lives here full time with me. I brought her in. My landlord said it was fine. It's okay. You scratch another person's back, you got to scratch another person's back all day cuz he scratched my back and I'm scratching their back cuz they scratched mine. >> Okay. >> So, we just need him. His name is Floyd Roberts. He needs to be his family wanted so I can give him his mom's number. They say we can't do it. They got to go through that just >> they're afraid of their own child. >> How is he? He's he's just a dear friend of mine, but he's not who I view him as. Does that make sense? >> The woman here, Adrian, said the man had no clear motivation and seemed to be mentally unwell. She then gave contact details for Floyd's mother, who was also a nurse, so hopefully she could find him and take care of him. >> My mom was home and she said that he got nuts and just started screaming and yelling and said, "I don't deserve this. >> You don't deserve what you stolen from me. has witnessed to that. >> That's fine. She doesn't mind doing that. >> Um, here's his mom. His mom is more than willing. >> I would love to press a lot of charges you stole from me. >> She wants I want some fresh charges. >> Let's just Let's just stay on what happened today. >> Okay. >> Let's just stay on what happened today. So, he broke in and then he punched your TV. >> Completely broke. How did he get in? >> He just kept the door in. >> Okay. So like you broke the door down. >> We basically keep the door locked but for some odd reason cuz mom she, you know, has to get out. You know what I'm saying? >> Mom watched him do this. >> No, she will. >> No, she watched him do that. Not so much the door cuz she was in the back >> that she watched him punch the TV. >> Adrien shared more details about him, saying suspiciously that he had multiple vehicles as well as multiple cell phones. The very next day, he was spotted again wandering through backyards nearby. And this time, the cops deployed a canine. There's a fence right on the other side. >> Come over or you're going to get dog bit. Come over here. You're going to get dog bit out. Come over the fence. Come or you're going to get dog back. >> We're not coming. You got to come back over. >> Come over. >> Come over. You're going to get I'm giving you command to come over here. You're going to get sheriff's office. You see down. >> I don't know what he's doing. Show me your back. >> Like we said, he was a persistent threat to people as well as himself, and the cops were determined to catch him. Once the canine picked up on his scent, there was no nearby fence to climb, so Floyd was in deep trouble. Wait, wait, wait. Hold him. Still get off the ground. I can't see. >> I can't see. >> I got my hand. >> Oh, my head. My head. I can't see. >> THE OTHER ARM ARM. >> GIVE ME THE OTHER ARM. GIVE YOUR OTHER ARM. >> AR, PLEASE. PLEASE. What did I do? What did I do? What did I do? What did I do? >> My head. I can't see. >> I can't see. I can't see. up on this side. I can't see. I can't see. I don't have anything. What did I do? What did I do? I don't have anything. >> Sit. Why? >> I sit up. >> Bomb knee legging. Bomb legging. >> Let's go. >> Your butt. >> Oh god. Oh my god. What did I do? >> Oh my god. >> He continued berating the cops for doing their jobs, even while handcuffed. Because Floyd destroyed a TV inside someone's house, it amounted to burglary, which in the state of Florida is a felony. However, Floyd seemed a bit confused about the meaning of the word felonious. >> A felonious warrant. >> Felonious warrant. >> Felonious. So, you're arresting me for nothing right now is what you're saying, right? I want this to be on record. All this is for nothing. You mother. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? I'M SICK OF this and you mother going to talk to my attorney. All you mother Harris. I DIDN'T BRUSH MY GOD teeth yet. You mother. >> Hey, stop morphing. You tell me what to do anymore. You mother. >> Let me go. It's unclear what type of mental illness he had, but he seemed to show extreme levels of anger and a dose of paranoia. After being read as Miranda writes, he then pretended to be completely ignorant of the entire situation. >> With those rights in mind, are you choosing to speak with me? No. >> In regards to what? Right. >> Yesterday morning. >> Yesterday morning. >> Where were you yesterday morning? when >> in the morning I don't know I don't remember five minutes ago until they hear back >> I'm asking you in regards to yesterday morning >> I'm telling you I can't remember what happened 5 minutes ago >> did you talk to Adrian yesterday >> who >> Adrian >> no actually >> you see all yesterday >> all right we just clean that up >> okay >> you weren't at that house We're trying to clear that up. >> Floyd was charged with resisting an officer without violence, criminal mischief under $1,000, and burglarizing an occupied dwelling while unarmed. On April 16th, 2024, the cops conducted a traffic stop after seeing a vehicle swerving into oncoming lanes. A pretty good sign the driver was under the influence. The officer spoke to the driver outside her car. Hi there, sheriff's office. I just need to see your license and and insurance, please. Reason for the stop today, I got you on 65 back there at the county line. >> Yeah. Where you headed to? Where? >> Where? >> Oh, okay. Is this your car? >> Is there anything in the car I should know about any weapons or drugs? Anything like that? No. Okay. Keeping form completed 33. >> I'm not finding it. >> You're not finding it. I just got a new phone. It's a new phone. >> Okay. >> I think it might be a new one. >> Okay. When I when I turn my lights on, you you kind of started swerving to the left. Why is that? >> Okay. Okay. Are you on any medication that would affect your driving? >> No. Okay. [snorts] >> You have a pin. Have you had any today? >> Yeah, this morning. this morning. Okay. >> It sounded like the woman said dasipam, a medication used to treat sleeping problems and also anxiety. The driver seemed relatively cooperative until the officer asked to search the vehicle. >> So, there's nothing in the car. What do you mind if I look? >> What was that? >> I'm just asking. >> Okay. You're in a hurry? >> Yeah. This is terrible. I just got this car. >> Yeah. Can you step out of the car? [snorts] >> Step out of the car, please. >> 35 to 36. >> Good. Can you start this way? >> Oh, you do? Okay. >> Are you able to stand? >> Not really. >> Okay. [screaming] Well, >> so the the fact that you're going from out victory to Dayton for an oil change doesn't make sense to me. Okay. Well, I >> So, can can I search your vehicle? If not, I'll have a K9 come out here. It's up to you. It's your right to say no, but I'm asking if I can search your car real quick. >> I mean, no. >> No. >> Okay. All right. Do you have any weapons or anything sharp on you? >> Okay. >> The woman had MS, which is multiple sclerosis, and quite commonly, it results in difficulty walking. It was hard for the woman to stand there while the cops were waiting for the canine. Inside the woman's vehicle, she also had a small dog of her own. Eventually, the woman made a confession. >> If you want to have a seat in the back of my car, that's fine. >> But, uh, right now, I'm going to finish up with the paperwork for the traffic stop and the K9's on. >> Okay. >> So, [snorts] >> I do have a gun. >> Okay. >> Okay. Is that why you don't want me to start? >> No. No. >> Okay. >> I just remembered it. >> Okay. All right. Is it loaded? Is the weapon loaded? >> Yeah, >> it is. >> I don't think there's landing. >> Okay. Okay. You want to step over here. He's going to run the dog around your car. Okay. Uh if it alerts on your vehicle, we'll be conducting a probable cause search [music] of it. All right. Uh I don't want him to his dog to get with your dog. >> The officers then had the K9 conduct a sniff test to the vehicle. If the dog gave a clear signal showing the presence of something illegal, the cops would then be authorized to search the car. Up here, check up here. Check up here. Come on. Check here. [music] Check here. Check here. Check here. Check here. Check here. Check here. Check here. Unfortunately for the woman, the dog showed a very strong interest. So, now having probable cause, it was time to search the vehicle. As things turned out, the gun in the console was not the only thing in there. 404 303 closer. >> All right, I'm telling the go now. [music] >> Hey, just so >> just so you know, there wasn't a round in the chamber. >> Yeah. Yeah. She's going to Dayton. You might be right. >> Yep. Oh, bingo. >> Nice. >> It just looks like instruments in there. >> Well, that is a draw. We have That looks like >> Yep. >> I seen that. You know, there's some >> honestly that might be the first time I've seen real life in the sky. >> Okay. Well, we're going to zip that back up. That's why she hit on this side of the car first. >> Yeah. >> By that point, the cops had more than enough evidence to justify an arrest. And it looked like this woman would need a really good lawyer. The officer then approached the woman in a non-confrontational manner and politely asked her if she'd like to explain herself. So, do you want to talk to me and answer questions? >> Um, not what kind of question. >> So, my question is is can you explain to me what's in that black glasses case on your front floorboard? >> I'm not real sure. I just got it out of impound. >> You just got it out of impound? >> Yeah, >> a couple months ago. >> No, a couple days ago. a couple days ago. Got it out impound where? >> Here. >> Where? In Logan County or where? >> The girl I bought it from, she's the one that got out and like my phone's missing. There's some money. You said >> you said Harding County. Where again in Harding County? >> I think it's kept at Gordon. >> Gordon's. Okay. >> Okay. Why was it in in town? >> Um cuz I got I was running downstairs on my road. The road like almost. >> Were you arrested? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, it was in town cuz you got arrested for what? >> OVI. >> OVI. >> But I haven't been charged. Okay. >> Okay. >> The officers then asked her about the brown powder in her car. While they assumed it was hair, there was a chance it might be fent, which is a whole lot more dangerous. As a matter of fact, if the cops were exposed to fent, it could lead to serious respiratory issues and also heart problems. >> So, what's the the brown powder substance in your the black uh glasses case? We just need to know for our safety >> what it is. >> I don't know. >> You don't know? Okay. Okay. What about the the pipe and stuff in there? >> Okay. >> I I started cleaning out yesterday. >> It was a mess. >> Well, I'm sure if Harding County impounded that vehicle, they would have found what I found. Okay. So, let me hold this. >> They arrested the woman, but she was later charged with possession of drug par intent to use drug pair and possession of drug abuse instruments. On the 7th of June 2023 in Florida, the cops requested the help of a canine officer to conduct an open air sniff on a vehicle. One of the occupants, identified as Nancy, was thought to be a drug dealer and had been under surveillance before they stopped her. If >> you could keep all your stuff in the car for me, please. >> I just can't hear you. What was that? >> Just your drink, please. That's enough. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Does this not come up? >> I was trying to try to help you, but there you go. >> I can have my Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Want a soup? Huh? Hey. Oh, you want a soup, huh? Okay. change of breathing. That was not true. >> On the driver's side of the vehicle, the K9 clearly signaled on something of interest. Most canines are German Shepherds, but this particular dog was a golden retriever. The breed is mostly used for sniffing, and due to their friendly personalities, they're not very suitable for protection and patrol. So, y'all smoke? >> I don't smoke. I don't have >> Well, I'M JUST WONDERING WHERE THAT where my dog might have called the odor from. That's >> This is a K9 officer McBride. And people say Nancy sells >> what? >> Yeah. >> She is NY's friend. They've been pulled over together. They've had car together before. >> What time? Deon just lives at the house. What time? >> The answer is on our way to court right now for >> you live at the house also. >> I mean, there's fire and we can get it quick before we all start getting rained on. >> That would be fantastic. >> And it's hot. And >> you look like you're about to cry cuz you know there's something in the car. >> It seemed like Nancy was just delaying the inevitable. The cops had probable calls to search and wanted to look inside the car to find out why she was so worried. >> She is so upset. The chick that was in the back seat. >> She's literally >> Yeah. And that's what she was like, "Oh, I was like, so you're nervous cuz like that's not something to be nervous over being nervous over a search in the car is what?" Oh, here you go. She has a whole kit. >> One, two, three different types of pills. Here's her. Got a bunch of baggies. This is what she was clutching on to this hard. Definitely has individual bags. >> She knew some decent people. Be mad if you left. Uh all in the same little baggy first. Not going to lie, when I heard FOD, I was like, >> "Oh, >> oh, wait, no, that's all stuff." I just laughed. I was like, "Okay, should be interesting." But then we all called a traffic stop. I was like, "Well, this be good." Then I pulled up and I saw him. I was like, "Oh, okay." Yep. As expected, they found drugs in the car and other drugrelated items. Being in possession of a drug kit would also lead to drug pair charges. However, what was really strange was where they were headed at the time. >> I can't believe she was bringing that court. >> Yeah, but she probably was going to bring it inside. >> That's what whenever Yeah. Whenever he said that they were going to court, I was like, "Oh, they might actually like not have anything because of that." But lot of cell phones. Here's another. This book right here has a bunch of different people's information and addresses, phone numbers, trying to write down DL numbers. So, looks like it even says mother's maiden name, Vimbo accounts with phone numbers. >> The book they found contained people's mother's maiden names, which are common security questions for banking. And it was a clear suggestion that Nancy was involved in identity theft. But because of her incredibly sloppy concealment of her criminal activity, she was now going to jail. >> All right. Turn around your door. >> Yeah. You don't know anybody. There's nothing you're going to be able to do. >> No. Let me hold this. >> I told you. >> Oh, that's funny. When we're up there at the park, you didn't know anything. That is so nice. >> But you'll be buying it from people. >> You still have to charge it off. You just got to do it later. >> I just got to do it. What? >> Turn around. >> Yeah. Can you leave my phone with Dev and can you tell him I need him to answer um >> a court? >> No, that's relevant. This >> What do you need him to answer? >> My husband will eat halls. >> You don't want to keep on to it so you could call your husband? >> He's in prison. Nancy was charged with possession, possession of and possession of drug par. She was also charged with possession of controlled substances, including schedule three drugs and also schedule 4. The other woman in the car was also charged with possession of drug paraphia. On November 8th, 2023, an anonymous tip came in that a man with two warrants was driving in the area. Using a license plate reader program, the cops traced the car to a local Walmart. When the cops repeatedly asked the man to step out of his vehicle, he refused. >> Step out. >> Step out of the car. >> Step out of the car. >> Step out. >> I'm about to break. Okay. >> Get out. >> Get out. We're going to break your window. Hey, last chance. Open it. You're going to break the window. >> Last chance. >> HEY, GET OUT OF THE CAR. YOU'RE GOING TO GET BIT. YOU'RE GOING TO GET BIT. >> I GOT SHOT. >> Get out of the car. Get out of THE CAR. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. YOU'RE GOING TO GET OUT. >> GET OUT. >> Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. >> GET OUT. >> GET OUT. GET OUT. TO GET BACK. >> Get him. [screaming] Get him. >> Break this back window. Break the back window. Break the back window. >> Get your hands off my dog. >> The suspect identified as Spencer had provoked the officers into setting the dog on him. And unlike the canine, the man's bark was worse than his bite. By resisting, in addition to his existing warrant, he'd be facing additional charges. Page medical, right? >> Bet your hand. >> Get the out of the door. Get >> open it. >> Get down. >> Get out of the car. >> Stop fighting. >> RESISTING. >> OH, OKAY. OFFICER, >> stop resisting. Stop. >> I'm not doing anything. People, stop it. >> We're 1095. >> Are you hurt? >> You need an ambulance. >> I see some water, please. >> Okay. >> Because Spencer had suffered a dog bite, it was protocol for him to get medical clearance. The cops then followed usual procedure, asking the man if he had anything incriminating on him. Spencer, you got anything on you? >> No. >> Nothing on you that's going to stick me poking hurt me? >> No. >> Got a nose piercing. >> God, >> still a needle. >> Maybe some water, please. Hey, we just want to put his belongings in his hat so we don't lose them. >> Ready? [sighs] >> Yep. >> Take a seat, man. >> Take some water, please. >> You when the ambulance gets here, I don't have water. >> You okay? >> Yeah, I'm good. After the canine came out, it showed a positive signal for something in the car. The vehicle was searched and the cops found packages that were empty. So is a prescription drug typically used for addiction to opioids. Suddenly, the apparent owner of the vehicle who'd been shopping at Walmart then returned to the scene. >> Who are you? >> This is your car? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, you're not getting it right now. >> Why not? Um because Spencer's been arrested and we had to break the window. >> What? >> You closed my window. >> 321 come. >> Well, I just bought >> the registered owner just walked out. Can you run her? >> I'm only on vacation. >> Okay. Just got to make sure. >> I see my fuel tomorrow. >> Okay. >> I'll have to call my supervisor and see if she's going to be okay with releasing the vehicle. >> Why wouldn't we be able to release it? >> Um I just got to make sure. I don't know all the parts of the case so far. So, we're just hanging tight right now. And >> is he in the car here or >> No, he's at the hospital. Yep. >> Why is he at the hospital? What happened? >> Um, I'm not going to share the case with you. >> What a dumb. He should have just ran my >> He didn't really have a chance. >> Why'd you get picked up? >> He can explain that. >> Is he under arrest? How would he explain it? >> In jail. He can call you from jail. you know my number like that. >> Okay, then you don't need to know then. >> The woman who was currently on probation was understandably concerned about what Spencer was up to and whether his actions might get her in trouble. The fact that she didn't have his number suggested that he wasn't someone she knew too well. >> Nothing's going to like reflect on me or anything. I mean, I put on my PO ring. >> I would let your I would let your PO know and >> I'm not responsible for anything. >> You don't Yeah, you just kind of We didn't even know you were here. Did you just did he just come to pick you up or >> No. Um I picked him up and I'm like I got to go grocery shopping and he was all sketching. What the hell? >> Cuz he was driving the car >> like he was when we pulled up >> where it was parked. That's right. >> Yeah. Did you give him consent to drive the vehicle? >> Not really. I said he could sit in the driver's seat. If he needed to do anything, he could or whatever. I said just don't take off on >> Did you want to press charges for him driving your vehicle? >> No. Okay. >> He's probably got nothing on his plate. >> Yeah. Well, because of his actions. >> Yeah. him pulls. I didn't realize it's not even where it was. >> Well, because of his actions and him driving the vehicle. >> He was trying to get Wi-Fi. I figured he might pull closer to get Wi-Fi cuz he was trying to get Wi-Fi. As long as he didn't leave the parking lot. >> He did. >> What? >> Yes. >> Where'd he go? >> I don't know. We had him coming southbound on Crossroads from HH. >> After being medically cleared, Spencer was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer, which was later dismissed in court. On the 4th of October 2023 in Wisconsin, the cops got a report of a retail theft in progress at a Dick Sporting Goods. An officer quickly found the suspect's vehicle and tried to pull the vehicle over. The driver, however, later identified as Dariana Anderson, refused to comply, which led to a high-speed pursuit. >> Yeah. Yeah, man. Good. Hang on. I can go back on 46. [screaming] Yeah, you clear. 146. Vehicle is not stopping. We're northbound 41. 57 miles per hour. Looks like we're exiting. >> [screaming] >> for pursuit right now eastbound capital. >> The driver soon pulled over, but the officer was cautious about approaching the car alone and called for backup. Suspiciously, she hadn't turned the vehicle off and kept her foot on the brake. >> Foot still on the brake. I don't know if they're going to keep going. They're behind a vehicle. 146. I'll wait for another vehicle to come in case I accidentally take off again. Again, we're eastbound capital about the 110 block. Backup soon arrived and they cautiously approached the vehicle and asked the suspect to open the windows. This way hopefully they could resolve things peacefully. The other officer stayed in his vehicle in case the suspect tried to flee. >> Driver of the Camry, roll all your windows down now. >> Driver of the Camry, roll your windows down now. out. 123. >> As suspected, she had no intention of engaging with them. The cops then place stopsticks in front of the car to prevent the woman from driving off. However, things didn't go according to plan. >> Reverse attack. 146 off again. Looks like the sticks hit. We are eastbound [screaming] capital. Speeds are 60. Traffic is medium. They are weaving in and out of traffic. [screaming] [screaming] 146 speeding eastbound on capital approaching 92. They just went through the red light. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> And we're still capitaling down. They are smoking right now. Looks like >> While the stop sticks had clearly done damage, she was still able to drive the car a significant distance. Stop sticks are designed to gradually deflate tires, reducing the likelihood of an accident. The car soon broke down, so the occupants had two options. They could either surrender or make a run for it. >> Flip bail. Flip bail. Flip bail. Three occupants. >> I got one occupant down on the ground. Looks like a passenger took off going westbound and a driver took off going eastbound. Yeah, I think so. We switched so many channels cuz they travel from each district. >> Two people were seen exiting the vehicle. So unless someone exited the vehicle before the cops turned onto the street, there were only two occupants. Ultimately, the cops wanted to find Ariana, who was the main instigator. Thankfully, the K9 patrol team was at hand to find out what she was hiding. >> That's whatever we stirred up. >> Hey, get your hands up. HANDS UP. >> HANDS UP. >> YOU DIDN'T GET BIT. Come on. COME ON. GET YOUR HANDS UP. I SEE YOU BEHIND THE GARBAGE CAN. FACE AWAY FROM ME. Face away. >> Face away. Show me your hands. Show me your hands. >> All right. I got I got I got cover on the knees. On the knees. Let's get her. >> Get on your knees. Stop on your knees. >> Hold back, buddy. >> Keep your hands in your back. >> They charged the woman with retail theft and eluding an officer. She was later released on a $1,500 bond. Law enforcement is dedicated to protecting and serving our communities, and police dogs play a vital role in that mission. From detecting narcotics to apprehending violent offenders, their contributions are essential to keeping our streets safe. And it takes a really good dog to take down a really bad criminal.
