conducted by the officer and was consequently arrested officer Davis appeals to his relationship with the arresting officer emphasizing their shared history trust and friendship and suggesting that a true friend wouldn't proceed with the arrest he downplays his actions insisting that he only had a couple of beers and isn't truly intoxicated arguing that the arrest is unnecessary given the minimal impact of his drinking he also tried to threaten officer Thompson while asking some personal questions on the way to the jail he was taken to jail and was charged with speeding and DUI officer Davis
