it is terrifying to think fake cops can get away with anything just by wearing a stolen badge so what happens when they meet real law enforcement officers here are four times when fake cops realized they'd been caught so you're you're you're not with any law enforcing agency no but you're wearing a badge like you are well ided yourself to the sheriff as Aron investigator I'm sorry sir you ided you work for them I'm a volunteer for them yes sir who's the supervisor over that they know you're working wearing that radio while you're working your private job serving civil papers yes sir they know you're using that radio yes sir they do yes sir Adam yes sir we're going to find out all that okay step out and step to the back here sure on February 8th 2019 detective Dylan of the lowo County Sheriff office noticed a black Dodge Ram speeding down the road and activating emergency lights when he stopped the driver who turned out to be Jeremy Kook he found out that there were even many more suspicious things about the situation contact Adam and see if they know who this guy is he says he's a volunteer with them he's got a A1 radio where did you get the A1 radio from Adam you tell me that they know that you're doing this yes you're out serving civil papers using our radio running lights and Sirens didn't know he was behind you did you you're not law enforcer you understand that right yes I don't have blue lights either you're right you don't have blue lights but you're driving crazy down the middle of the road that's not an emergency to go serve civil papers okay this is one of this is our guy who serves our C papers you do that they're riding you some tickets and we're going to go to court and there's other things we're going to do here okay you got a handcuff in there too mhm what the Handcuff for uh uh they're from what are they for they're a theft deterrent a theft deter yep what does theft deter mean well it'll keep somebody from breaking into my truck hopefully that's the thought you course correct I am okay so you're saying carrying handcuffs to your truck means that they won't break into your truck so you're you're making it look like it's a law enforcement truck so they won't break into it if if you walked up to break that window and break in and you saw that would you break in I'm not a criminal but yeah I'd steal your hand cuts and steal your guns okay is there guns in there no anything else in there that I yourself as a law enforcement officer nope certified what fire and explosion investigator mhm and you're wearing a badge to serve papers and says that mhm I think you're trying to ID yourself and come off as lawn for noome no that's what it looks like to me why would you wear arson investigator badge to serve civil papers you have the right to remain silent anything you say can will be used against your court kurk claimed that he was going to serve some civil papers yet he had handcuffs and emergency lights what civil papers could have been so urgent that he had to speed down the road while flashing blue lights none that's the answer to worsen the case kuruk also had a dash cam and a radar on his dashboard understand that yes okay where's the Kine at home what kind of dog is it German Shephard what does it do he's a tracking dog he's a certified search and rescue dog so Adam gave you a a win radio yes sir who at Adam do you work for I work for the races for what races races yes radio emergency radio amateur uh civil emergency service there we go let me see your radio hold on we're gonna do this let a hold of you uh internet these are the first papers you're served yes sir you've never served any other papers no so why are your why is your handgun license revoked you have any criminal history I the police no that's what I think I'm not trying to be the police what are you trying to be then why are you running like this no other paper server does that my guy drives a marked unit he doesn't drive like that okay he's a full-time certified Deputy that search papers yeah and he didn't act like this yeah and you got this badge on right here why are you wearing an ARS investigator badge to serve papers well I'm hoping it doesn't that I don't get shot so you're impersonating officer no you're trying to impersonate officer no that's what you're hop it doesn't get you shot 100ad investigator badge you got felony charges in your AC does Adam know that NOP they will you hey who you don't do we're taking it we're going to send it back to them why are you taking my truck we're Towing it and we're going to inventory it okay because you got a handcuffs you got a badge you got a body camera you you resemble law enforcement you running lights and Sirens down the middle of the road you're telling me that the reason you have handcuffs is to theft turn which doesn't make sense you got felony charges on you and you got a badge and and I know what it says when I get close and I know what you're saying uh you're saying you're an ARS investigator nobody in this state or this country going to use you as AR investigator because you're a felon okay this to me looks like you're impersonating an officer you're running down the middle of the road at over 90 mph none of what kuk said added up but there was worse to come as the officer later found out that he was a felon who was no longer allowed to serve papers in the state of Arkansas in fact when the officers called Adam whom he worked for they found that kurck was only an amateur radio operator and they were asked to seize his radio and ID on the spot there uh CU I enjoy playing with it you were playing with it yeah I enjoy just watching it the radar you're enjoy watching the radar M I'm not sure you don't try to pull people over and I run sixth grade are Le Sun Mark Dodgers so you have guns in here nope are you under arrest as the situation worsened it became increasingly clear that there was no way kurak would make it out of the situation scottf free so it was no surprise when he was handcuffed and transported to Lan o County Detention but if you think Mr kuk is terrible for impersonating a police officer once hold on to your jaws because what you are about to see next is a Serial and unrepentant impersonator Lieutenant please there is no Lieutenant I'm in then get a captain there is no Captain I'm in get somebody that out ranks you Sergeant I have got the back from the calm down hey put him in the car put him in a car and that motorcycle has that t who is this guy and motor oh that's Jeremy right there on September 7th 2019 officer ogry observed a black and gry motorcycle driving in the wrong lane it was only after initiating a stop that he would realize that the guy he pulled over Jeremy deit was guilty of more than just a traffic violation I Sergeant my vehicle's not stolen Sergeant I can tell you right now everything's being videotaped on my body cam Sergeant okay you're you're that's not a firearm Sergeant let's go that's a l Sergeant so legally for the per Florida statute I'm allowed to carry that Sergeant 970 go ahead and look it up Sergeant the vehicle's not stolen Sergeant I have the registration for the vehicle Sergeant I have the registration for the vehicle Sergeant Sergeant get your Lieutenant please there is no Lieutenant I'm in they get a captain there is no Captain I'm in they get somebody that out ranks you Sergeant I have the very valid registration sergeant that shows the State of Florida gave me the registration and that tag the the tag was stolen off another motorcycle that motorcycle was stolen we were given the tag back by Orange County Sheriff's Office and then that tag was given to us by the Department of Motor Vehicles [Applause] Sergeant where you have handcuffs make sure you have your body cameras running body cameras are running why you have handcuffs I'm not talking to you all [Applause] okay I have the registration for that vehicle [Applause] [Music] Sergeant after conducting the stop it was found that the motorcycle was stolen and that Jeremy was a convicted felon we not walk over here Sergeant I can prove the registration as soon as we prove oh okay but you're 15 in me and you're holding me here in front of all these people we could have done this profession not like children just because you don't like me and you have a history with me doesn't authorize you to treat me like Trea you like you are Sergeant everybody can move on no no they're 12 with me just like your officers would be if you needed help go no no they're they're saying her my orders stay hey officers I'm getting this all and I can promise you I can promise you this isn't going to go the way you're planning officer I have my body camera on so Jeremy deit was arrested and charged with resisting without violence unlawful use of a two-way radio and impersonating a law enforcement officer still he had the eony to demand an apology claiming that he had done nothing wrong poor Jeremy if only he knew that wishes aren't horses but Jeremy isn't the only one who thinks it's okay to impersonate a cop here's another guy who thinks it's okay to act like law enforcement if a gets him to his destination quickly enough see LIC insurance so for the stops we're getting calls saying that you were flashing people with red and blue lights and doing about 90 sir do you have lights installed in the vehicle no I had a radar I have a radar detector I don't have it on there we're from Austin Texas um ins here and what about just the registration is that's part of the windshield stuff yes sir we're from Austin Texas all right I'll be back in a second all right a former cop was driving down the road when he noticed a car flashing red and blue lights it also seemed like the driver was trying to initiate a traffic stop uncomfortable with with this strange Behavior the former cop decided to alert the Police and this was what happened when Deputy greo of the San Juan County Sheriff Office arrived how's it going good man how are you good good thanks for keeping the street free yeah no problem so you're just driving and he just end up so I drive past him and then he passes me and I drive past him and then he passes me and I'm going this is annoying yeah so and being a former cop I'm like I don't really want anybody like swirling are hovering so I just give it some gas and they go up he catches up to me and I'm like this is weird so then it keeps going and I'm taking phone calls I run a couple companies now I left PD and 14 I've been doing my ownit right that's all of our Dream right yeah exactly so my side gigs turned into something so I'm answering phone calls I bought this car for my son you know I'm driving to Utah to go visit my daughter just chill I got nowhere to be yeah just hanging out kilo man I'm like chill but this dude keeps following me and doing weird and I'm like I don't like this then he passes me and he's like this with he had he put red and blue lights on like he's got I think the little Center Mount on his Dash in his oh okay he had the the angled ones that that snug up to the lens like when I was undercover that's what I had and he was like you know BL I'm looking at the lights I'm looking behind me I was like is that a is that a 34 that's a [ __ ] what am I what is he talking about I'm like so I pull over and he gets alongside me and goes like this like pump the brakes or whatever yeah like full you've been driving speeding passing doing the same thing the whole time yeah yeah then my next move was just going to be stopped on the side of the road let him have it let him have his thing right mhm but then I was like dude something a right dude it's not sitting right with me yeah and so if he's going to like use his lights or use lights and he's not a cop I'm I'm like kind of one of my daughter's driving through here and yeah I know you know what I mean if you're mom or you know what I mean like that's how my brain start working for and I'm like this okay call yeah cuz you know what I mean none of us really want to be that dude but it's like I don't I was uncomfortable by it yeah if he's 30 if he's uh if he's law enforcement checks out great I don't think he is so that's weird yeah yeah after listening to the concerned ex cop on what the issue was Deputy greo started talking to the suspect and if nothing else the guy's evasiveness was more than enough to give his guilt away so what did you have mounted right here I have I used to have a radar detected okay so where did that go cuz you just had something mounted up here no I I used to have one up there okay I don't have one why would we be receiving complaints that somebody saying that you were flashing red and blues at them flashing red and blues I don't have red and blues at sir you don't have any so so they're so they're just seeing stuff I'm that's not me sir I'm not fly with I have kids in my car we're going to Colorado so so this is what we got we got we got a complaint from an individual saying that a black Tahoe with a grill in front of it Texas Li male with a long beard and cowboy hat with a dog in the back came up behind him and F flashed red and blues at him this vehicle looks like a police vehicle right yes sir would you would you agree with me with that I agree with you okay so why would he and then he said that it was mounted in the center of your dash right below your mirror where you previously had something mounted right I don't have anything I'm just saying that's exactly where he's saying that it was mounted right yes sir and so if if I'm driving down the road do you think that I'm going to pay any M to suction cups in the middle of somebody's vehicle how would I how would I how would I know that you ever had anything mounted there unless something drew my attention to that specific location right so do you just want to be honest with me or or what's going on I don't have it I don't have anything that's I used to have my radar detector well it seems fairly easy to take something down from there and so if I was somebody that was doing that I would be worried about impersonating a law enforcement officer and if I have anything mounted up to it I would just take it down the seriousness of impersonating a police officer right is the fact that we have individuals do that and then commit pretty outrageous crimes on individuals right and so that's why I'm taking it so serious this again this vehicle looks like a police vehicle right the windows are dark and tinted we have a brush guard on the front it's a it's a Tahoe like every other agency drives right and so it'd be very easy to have something mounted to make others believe that you're some form of law enforcement and if it's just for the mere reason of like hey sometimes there's slow drivers and I like to just hit red and blues and get them out of my way then okay Roger I got it right but at the same time it's just not lining up I'm I'm not tracking with everything that you're saying today that you're not going to jail for impersonating a poli offer so you are going to receive a criminal summons so they're going you random people can decide to impersonate cops but sometimes it is a fired cop who refuses to let go of his post hey partner hi hey I'm officer park with aquare Police Department oh you uh the only reason why I'm pulling you over uh I guess y'all were well that's my chief of police right there he saw y'all go around traffic he was trying to figure out who who y'all with or what was going on the man in the car is Jareds Mackey who was allegedly seen flashing emergency lights in a police cruiser and was dressed in full cop outfit yeah I work I'm off duty hero operator oh off duty hero operator how you doing Chief hey I was I'm off Studio operator I just is working a pral detail that's my ID uh that's my bad yeah I just is working a prial detail I went to get my car checked up because you can see all the lights on why is the car registered to an individual that's mine my so what you doing with all these red lights sorry W there emergency lights and did I see you using emergency lights to pull out into traffic on lake that oh no they couldn't they couldn't get to je you notice that's a stand still so I flash the light something see me that I trying to get in the line you work for this is my company I'm an off duty hero operator this is my company okay yeah I do pral details yeah so like me you're impersonating a police officer oh no sir I'm not impersonating sir you got your ID on you front you look in the front I see red lights I saw red lights when you pulled out yeah that's that's when it activated to the back yeah where's your ID right you do you have a do you have a lighting permit for the vehicle yeah right down on the glass okay thank you sir you're welome be right back with your car all right Mr Macky here's your ID back thank you look um given with all the ligh and permanent stuff I'm seeing I'm just going to assume everything's properly permanent and stuff for the vehicle it is Sir that said with what my Chief's observation you know the use of those are for strictly business purposes you can't you can't be using it pulling the traffic okay sir so I am going to issue a citation for un unlawful operation for emergency vehicle okay just just let me just talk to Chief real quick before cuz I'm telling you is going to work even though I doing this on my private side once I get this ticket G do is going to gr me again I'm going to get granted and I try to that's why I trying to don't interfere my personal business with J do anytime they run our driver's license number I'm going to get granted I'm pleased I asking the chief please I he but you have to understand that this whole this whole scenario is a big issue for us too because the uniform and lights and all that this is know the thing is this is my company I run my company respectfully okay because I deal with high clients this is my uniform nothing on me say officer nothing this is my uniform I got you understand but please I just want to talk to the chief I know you're going to still do your job I mean no harm upon seeing that he wouldn't get out of the sticky situation Scott free Macky began to resort to pleas and familiarities unfortunately it wouldn't get him very far I want to verify your employment and I'm probably going to have CB look in for this be honest with you see what your do I know chief chief I show I can show you my LLC I can sh my LC right now let I'll let them handle it and also and also right here yeah that's why he was calling my supervisor just know all that's that's that's between you and your boss okay like I said we'll do our followup but Macky received a citation for unlawful operation of an emergency vehicle and 2 days later he was arrested on a felony charge of impersonating a police
