On July 24th, 2024, at approximately 4:15 p.m., [music] Orlando police officers at Universal Studios responded to a disorderly group being escorted from the park. Within minutes, one guest's alleged threats toward officers and refusal to comply escalated the situation into an arrest on multiple felony charges. After being ordered to leave, [music] the group repeatedly stopped, argued with officers, and delayed their exit from the theme park. >> Put your hands behind your back. Stop resisting. Turn around. Face the wall. Turn around. Face the wall. Turn around. Face the wall. Let's go. Hey, I'm a I'm a female. Y'all going to jail for trespassing after warning. I resisted, right? I can show y'all resisting, bro. I can show y'all resisting. >> over here on this side. >> We got to get him inside. I got one cop. >> Hey, do not take me again. Now you got felony You are a law enforcement officer. I'm going to put you in a harbor, you understand? This is Orlando. I don't know where you're from. You'll find out how it is over here. >> I'm fast. >> No. I didn't even do anything. >> I'll have a sergeant talk to you or I'll have a sergeant talk to you and then >> My elbows My elbows I didn't even do anything. I was handcuffed. I was handcuffed. >> [screaming] >> Tell me you're uncomfortable for a second, huh? Don't take your wrist. Yeah, keep your wrist like that. That doesn't lock. >> Officer 21 10 30. You're a [ __ ] grown ass man. >> Like all the same. Check your wrist see if it's there. >> There you >> I guess. You have multiple charges. You got a felony charge. All right. You were kicking me. That's battery on a law enforcement officer. Yep. What's that? You have all the rest of the charges and you were resisting. All right. All right. Okay. Then I'll give you the same courtesy. You're asking me a question and yet we're going to sit here and have to talk over you, then there's no need to tell you and you're still talking instead of you being you're asking a question but yet you don't want to hear the answer because you're still talking. All right? So, the city of Orlando there's disorderly conduct, okay? Which is what you guys are creating at the park, okay? They wanted to trespass, right? Universal Studios employees wanted to trespass, okay? That means all those people that were there with walkie-talkies, they all work security or management for the park, okay? So, at some point you guys were being advised that you were trespassed on the property. If you kept stopping or refusing to leave, all right? After giving multiple after giving multiple commands All right. After giving multiple commands and everything like that, letting you guys know you trespassed. Uh once you guys stopped again, then you were trespassed at that point. You were refusing to leave, so trespassed after warning, okay? Then on top of that, right? You were being arrested for that. Everybody else they joined and tried to resist officers and this and that were all being arrested, okay? Then when I came up to you and I had the physical ID which is this ID here that I had, right? And I said, "Is this you?" And you said, "No, that's not me, Edward." And then you kicked me. I was acting up. Then you earned yourself a felony at that point, right? Cuz now you battered a law enforcement officer, okay? Do you have any other questions for me? I don't know. It's your property. Where's all the cash in your in your Louis Vuitton purse? What else you got? >> Inside the patrol car, officers explained the reason for the arrest, but that didn't make any difference to the suspect's [music] behavior. Freddy was ultimately charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, trespass after warning, and resisting an officer without violence. According to court records, some of those charges were later not pursued, while others resulted in plea-based dispositions.
