On March 21st, 2025, at approximately 11:17 p.m., Flaggler County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to 6392 SR11 in Bunell, Florida, [music] following a request from the Valuia County Sheriff's Office. The alert involved a black Nissan Pathfinder with a Florida tag driven [music] by 36-year-old Levon, who had reportedly shot a person while driving near State Road 11. The victim had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Shortly after the alert was issued, [music] Deputy B. Coulson located the suspect vehicle traveling southbound on US1 near Seminal Woods Boulevard. >> Just pull into the residence. I'll be conducting a felony stop. >> 35 years old. >> Get out of the vehicle. >> Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Put your hands up right now. Drop your phone. >> Drop your phone. >> Drop your phone. >> Face away from me. >> Walk back slowly to my voice. >> Face away from me. Face away from me. Walk back slowly to my voice. >> Walk back slowly to my voice. >> He's getting in his vehicle. He's fleeing. Suspect is dropping back at the vehicle. One flight to flight. >> During the pursuit on Seol Woods Boulevard, Leavon's driving became increasingly reckless, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph. His behavior caused a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection. Yet, he continued fleeing, weaving through traffic and even using the emergency shoulder in a desperate attempt to escape. >> You okay? Not really. I I like to get 911 over here. See, >> I'm a deputy sheriff. >> Yeah. Okay. Yeah. >> What What happened? >> The guy that y'all were chasing. >> Okay. >> He was coming behind me so damn fast. I was in the left lane. I was going right. He went As soon as I started going right, >> he went over in that lane. So, I was I went left hard to avoid I mean, he was probably doing 100 miles down here. >> I went I went I I took a hard left to avoid smacking into him sideways. Lost control. And this is where I ended up at. >> Okay. >> And I'm hitting in my back. She I don't know what's going on. >> So you were trying to get out of his way and >> Yeah. Got you. >> I had lost. >> For what it's worth, I was a car by sighting. >> Okay. >> I was a little slower and he come around. He was driving speed >> and he come on around me and a car come flying up there and there was just >> there was hardly any room at all between him and me with the other guy when he squeezed in there. He swerved out of the way to keep getting run over. Just stay in the car until the paramedics get here. >> I'm I'm feeling okay. I I know my back. >> I just I wanted to check y'all out before cuz I mean you did y'all roll over and just skip out. >> Oh, no. We We got smacked sideways and then [snorts] back down. >> Did he Did he actually hit you or >> No, that's the whole thing. Like I said, he's I'm driving. I pass that gentleman and then when I seen the black car in my rearview mirror hauling, I mean, he was hauling ass. I said, "Let me move Let me move over into the right lane. Let this guy pass me." Soon as I started going in the right lane, he he went into the right lane and uh >> I'll give you a call here in a little bit and we'll get it by. >> If you were behind me, then you got a better view than I did. >> Oh, I I guarantee it cuz I was in the left lane. >> Okay. I said, "All right, let me go left lane." And then as soon as I got in the left lane past him, this black car is on my ass. And I said, "Okay, let me move right." He saw a gap on the right. >> Uhhuh. >> So, we're both going to the right lane. As soon as I seen he was flying and coming down, I'm gonna go hit him on the right side. I went left and this is how I ended up. >> This is it, man. >> This guy I would have hit him hard. I would I both of us would have gone off the side of the road if I hadn't swerved and as you can see where I came off >> right >> then sideways. I I end up turn spinning around right into the damn tree. >> Just totaling my vehicle. So that ain't fixable. >> All right. So, real quick, what what did you see happen? He zoomed past me and then like >> whichane which lane were you in? >> I was in the left lane. >> So you you were in this lane. >> Yes. >> Okay. And then he come the the car that they were >> they Yeah. I pulled out of uh Sesame. >> Okay. >> Uh yeah, Sesame. Okay. >> And no one was coming when I came. That's how fast he was going. And I I pulled into the right lane and the next thing I knew he blew past my doors and he almost ran into the grass. >> And then I saw a cop go by. I was like, "Well, that's a police chase." And anyway, I came up on the car. I was going really slow and I moved over and moved back and then there was like five cops behind me. >> Okay. >> So during that time that I was that left lane is when this happened. >> And which lane was he in when when you saw this? >> I didn't see what lane he was in. I just saw him spinning. >> Okay. >> He was all I got. >> Good stick. >> Good hit. Good hit. Good hit. Four, two, three. Go, go, go, go, go, go. >> I need a description of the suspect, please. >> I see rescuer south of Cody's corner. Is that where >> he's got a black and dark pants? >> Black hoodie. Dark pants. Black hoodie. Dark pants. Probably >> black hoodie and dark pants. All interesting. The pursuit continued for several more minutes until the vehicle's tires began to fail due to the stopstick deployment. Levon's SUV veered off the right shoulder, [music] crashing into the woodline where it finally came to a stop. He immediately jumped out and fled on foot, [music] disappearing into the woods. Which way? >> We need to clear this car. I can't see with the airbags. We're good. We didn't Let's move back and we'll wait for Kane on 14. Signal 14. This vehicle is starting on fire. Copy. Vehicle targeting catch on fire. Alpha collect. >> It looks like we have pretty good containment on this. Do we have any update on K9 or >> K9 K9 and they're heading to you? They were >> that flag out of our guys also. >> Somebody had somebody stopped in the F section. Does he have somebody to go on a track with him? Man, front Uh motor You coming back? Okay. >> We're trying to notify them that we're with him. Stop. >> Okay. >> We just need to locate the victim's vehicle. That's going to be our crime. >> We're still just inside the wood line along 95. Maybe uh >> 200 ft south of the crash site. Hey, they're getting a call that he's north of us or at least the mail fitting the description north of us by a retention product. >> He crossed over the fence. >> Yeah. Okay. Make sure I saw where he went. It's pretty far north. >> The pond is pretty far north. >> They saw me, not the suspect. >> Helicopter. That's going to be me, not the suspect. Suspect should be in a black hood. We're not sure. I got you out. >> We're coming out of the wood line along 95. >> I can't hear anything. I can't hear anything. >> They thought they saw a suspect. It was me. >> Okay. >> So, we don't have anything. >> Got to stay away from >> Yes, sir. After an extensive manhunt involving multiple units and resources, deputies ultimately [music] located Leavonne just north of the crash site near the exit ramp. >> I'm I'm moving to you guys. Moving to you guys. >> We got Do not move your hands at all. I'm going I'm going less lethal. >> I have less lethal. >> Do not move. You understand? Tell me you understand. You got hands? >> Who's got Who's got commands? >> I've got commands. >> All right. When I give you instructions, you're going to follow them closely. Do you understand me? Nod your head. >> Slowly start crawling towards me. The front of this vehicle. >> Do not make any sudden movements. >> If you reach towards anything, we will take it as a hostile movement. Do you understand that? Keep crawling. >> All right. St. John's has hands. You got left. >> Keep your hands out in front of you. Keep crawling. >> St. John's. This is just me. >> Leavonne was taken into custody and formally arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding law enforcement, reckless driving, resulting in property damage, and [music] resisting without violence. In the end, what began as a routine lookout call escalated into a dangerous chase, a crash, and a full-scale manhunt, ultimately ending with the suspect [music] in custody.
