I've looked that up before. >> Oh, you Okay. >> Yeah. So he's right now under arrest for criminal trespass and um obstruction. And then based off of what we're talking about and everything else, there might be more charges. Right now he's in he's under arrest in the back of a car. >> What you talking to the nurse there? Stop uh stop by the blue mailbox. >> Yeah, right there you go. >> Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy sheriff, patrol sergeant, and K9 hand. There are a lot of factors here that make this incident incredibly dangerous, volatile, and potentially deadly. not only due to the suspect's actions and willingness to be violent, but how easily the 32-year-old suspect was able to overpower his 64 year old mother, as well as the isolation element due to them being alone in the home and the suspect preventing from using the phone to call 911 for help, cutting off her only lifeline. And all of these elements of combination could have very easily turned out even worse for this victim, especially with the physical lengths this suspect was willing to go to, including strangling his own mother. and strangulation is treated as a lethal force capable act because it can cause brain damage or even death in mere seconds and very often does not leave visible injury. Once these officers locate the suspect flee in the area disobeying their lawful commands and showing those pre-fight indicators that immediately creates legal grounds for detention and force escalation if necessary due to the seriousness of the crimes that he is alleged of committing as well as the potential imminent violence against these officers. He was charged with aggravated assault under the Domestic Violence Act, physical assault, interference with emergency communication, false imprisonment, and choking or strangulation, but remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
