man on a lawn mower had reportedly driven straight into someone's yard moments later the officer spotted a male cruising down the street on a green Craftsman lawnmower its lights off as he rolled through the darkness initiating a traffic stop officer Matthew approached but the Rider remained eerily unresponsive what happened next you won't believe [Music] it John why won't you tell me how much you've had to drink have you been drinking at all done have you been drinking at all today why you upset with me just trying to figure out what's going on how much have you had to drink you guys his eyes I can't he every time I turn he keeps looking at all right well I don't want you to drink anymore I'm going to take that from you whever it may be you're Steel Reserve like normal goe are you want to perform some San Feld sobriety test for me so I can see if you're safe to be driving this John are you willing to perform some standardized fuel sobriety tests for me make sure you're sa to be Broadhead I'm going to ask you to step off the mower and place your hands behind your back for me I don't want to have an incident like last week when officer Myers and horde took you into custody let's try to avoid that so you don't go to jail for that are you willing to get off the mower for me and push your hands behind your back you are under arrest for what operating while intoxicated I've given you multiple opportunities to submit to standardized fueld Surety test which you do not reply you will not answer any of my basic questions I can tell you are impaired by your fine motor skills that are delayed your sword speech your eyes are glassy and bloodshot so can you please step off the mower for me John can you please get off the mower for me you're placed under arrest wering while intoxicated if you do not listen to my lawful command you're going to be arrested for obstructive resisting arrest because I've told you numerous times now you're being under arrest and laws and and would consent to providing a blood or urine sample for alcohol testing which he refused as a result they transported him to the hospital to obtain a warrant for his blood John we're going to get you a wheelchair get you in there that way so you don't have to walk anymore okay sound good could you take the seat belt off of me yeah y there you go all right can you step out for me in a wheelchair yeah cuz you could barely walk to my car in the first place 20 minutes ago he did uh urinate himself so see step out right foot then left I know how to walk Stupid I know how to walk Stupid all right right what all you bring your left out for me uh one two 3 come on you know how hard this is with the handcuffs on me well I don't think it's a handcuffs I think it's your intoxication no it's a handcuffs stupid Fu really you almost got it all right ready are you really no no no no no no relax no relax take out your right left foot for me it's all the way out on there you go there we go going to hurt me no we're getting in this hurt me wheelchair sit down sit down there you go take this [ __ ] head of me and just put this foot right up there no take this can if you cooperate there I will cooperate thank you John I will cooperate really no take these handcuffs off John was charged with one misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer one misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated second offense and one misdemeanor count of operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration second offense however he was only found guilty of the OWI charge due to a no contest plea all
