Police were looking for Alejandro Rosales Castillo, a former fugitive on the FBI's 10 most wanted list for the 2016 murder of his coworker. He was recently captured in Mexico in January 2026 after nearly a decade on the run. The incident in the body cam footage took place a year prior in January 2025 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. The suspect, Adon, was charged with felony attempting to disarm a peace officer, felony battery, or threat to judge, prosecutor, or law enforcement officer, and resisting obstructing. After pleading not guilty to all charges, Adon was found guilty by a [music] jury and was sentenced to 170 days in jail with good time granted, which lowered his sentence by 127 days, meaning he served 43 more days in jail and was then released [music] back into the public. You can feel the tension in this clip before anything even happens. When officers approach someone connected to an FBI warrant, this stops being a casual encounter. It becomes one of the most dangerous moments in policing because officers don't know if they're talking to a person or a person who's about to run. Watch the behavior early. calm words, but passive aggressive resistance underneath. To be fair, during a normal encounter, you don't have to speak with police. But this wasn't random. Officers had a specific tip and were legally trying to get his ID. So, all he had to do is show it and he would have been released. For a second, it felt settled. Then it turned into a decision, a hand reaching for a gun. At that moment, [clears throat] everything changes. Nobody's arguing rights anymore. Now, it's a struggle inside of a restaurant. The crazy part was he wasn't even the wanted suspect, which means the only thing that actually followed him out of that restaurant was charges he created himself. Sometimes people aren't arrested because of what police thought they did. They're arrested because of how they reacted when pressure showed
