On October 21st, 2023, officers with the Ocoee Police Department responded to a late night disturbance at an apartment complex [music] in Orange County, Florida, involving Melissa. What began as a roommate dispute quickly escalated [music] into a chaotic encounter that continued well beyond the stairwell. Okay, let's Yeah, I'll talk to I speak English. Okay, what's up? Melissa's roommate told officers that she, allegedly intoxicated, had been yelling, throwing items, and trying to break into her bedroom while she was on the phone with 911. They also had video [music] from earlier in the night, which reportedly showed Melissa damaging a vehicle in the parking lot. Go over there, please. No, cuz I need No, I need internet access. When fire rescue arrived, Melissa claimed she was diabetic and requested medical attention, but refused to allow personnel to check her blood sugar. She was transported to Health Central Hospital, where she again became verbally combative and declined treatment before ultimately being medically cleared. Melissa was arrested on allegations including two counts of resisting an officer with violence and disorderly conduct, brawling.
