I want to ask you what's going on. Can you just please talk to me? >> Sure. >> Cuz I'm scared to death, like >> Okay. I understand. >> Thanks. >> So, we received a call from them that you've been going around to different banks trying to take out money with an ID that's not yours. >> Mhm. >> So, they were instructed, their fraud department was instructed to call us. >> Mhm. >> So, that's why we're here. >> Mhm. >> And then when I walked back there, talked to them and you say, "Oh, the police are here. This is kind of weird." You take off. >> say that. >> Well, you >> I never said that. >> Okay. You didn't say that, but you might have probably thought to yourself, "Oh, there's probably the police here." >> Well, no, I mean, I had to go anyway. I was leaving anyway. >> Okay. >> Cuz I wanted to cuz it was >> So, the fact that you leave your ID there with them and when the police walk out there is strange to me. And that's entailed what why I went out the door after you. >> I don't blame you, yeah. I don't blame >> So, that's what we got to this point and then the Charger with whoever is in it taken off when my sergeant pulls up and I walk up is kind of strange to me. >> Mhm. >> So, that's why we're at this point. >> As the investigation continued, officers contacted the financial institution and the account holder to confirm whether the transaction was legitimate. >> Hi guys, thanks for coming. >> Absolutely. >> Thanks for having us to the party. >> Yeah. Hey Evelyn, I thought the officers my office, so I know you wanted to speak to them. So, they have the person. So, they're here. >> Yeah, and I have all of the photos from the multiple different people that she's been impersonating. >> Uh multiple people she's impersonating? >> However, what we're saying to you is that her real name is at Jill >> That we do know. >> Yep, that is the fact. >> Okay. Yeah. And in that black book that she's got, um she uses that. There may be other account number information in there from other FIs. >> They're looking at it now. This is what she just sent me that she was telling me about. >> Yeah, that's exactly her. >> And there's several and if I go through all my emails, I can probably find you some more. And I'm showing him a Michigan driver's license now. And I hear uh well, we just well, yeah, we have her identified because uh we deal with um a guy out of Gainesville who does some the facial recognition for me. >> So, how much was she trying to take out? >> Uh 3,000. >> Okay. Who is Who is the account registered to? >> Um we get that far. >> Probably the name that is on that fake driver's license, Amy. >> Yeah, do you guys have an Amy? >> Yeah, this share branching is other share credit union members, so they're not like a facility to us. So, they just come and do their transactions through us. >> Oh, okay. >> That's what the share This is why there's a call a share branching transaction right here on that slip. >> Okay. That's why she's able to do it then because it's not like I have a Bank of America account and I'm just going to go to Bank of America to do it because it would be too easy. With the share banking, it's a little bit wider spread, so it's a little harder. >> This is the phone number she gave us saying, "Oh, yeah, you can just call me when your assistant's up and running." >> Are you guys going to take her in? >> We're working on that. >> Okay. >> We read her We read her her Miranda rights. She did not want to talk to us. Um we're going to contact our supervisor, discuss it with him, and figure out our best route of attack here. >> Okay. Got you. >> After confirming the account holder had never authorized the transaction, investigators believed they had enough evidence to move forward with an arrest. >> You're going to end up going to jail for at least a couple of felonies, just so you know. All right. So, and as far as your boy in the Charger, we know who he is, too, so if you have the chance to call him, tell him we say hi. I appreciate the fact that he didn't run me down or run my officer down. I don't really care if he ran you down cuz he's your friend and your criminal partner, but I appreciate the fact that my people are okay because you guys want to commit crime and put everyone else's lives in danger. So, whatever drug habit you're trying to support by stealing other people's money, yeah, I I've looked you up by now. It's It's not not a good thing. >> You can take me now. >> I'm not taking you to jail. I'm just talking to you. They're investigating their thing. I'm just here to talk. I can talk all I want. You don't have to talk to me. >> No, I won't. >> What we come up with? >> That's my name. >> What? >> That's not it. >> Yeah, we we established that. Yeah. >> We're trying to get some stuff now. We're trying to get some contacts. >> For uh Michigan? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Um for the time being, let's shove her in the car. >> All right. Say that. >> Yeah. I was going to say, my car doesn't have a working camera this time. >> May I have my phone and >> Yep, it'll all go to jail with you. >> All right, thanks. >> Make sure we search her good. >> So, it's okay. Is there a female searching? >> I don't feel safe. >> Okay, well we got witnesses, so whatever you're going to lie about >> I'm not going to lie about anything. So, don't be rude to me, either. >> When >> She said she got >> You can walk over here. >> Yes, sir. For your protection, so I'm going to search >> We >> We're going to use that for a search. >> Hurt to the breast area. >> Yes, sir. A knife place. So, we're going to go for All right. >> Of course. >> I got I got nothing. >> I got nothing. >> Yeah, ma'am, but stop moving. >> Yes, this is so cold. Good. You're not a woman, and I don't care if I'm on camera or not. Stop this. >> Knife Knife hand, knife hand, stop moving. >> Well, what the [ __ ] >> We have to check. Back of the hand. What is this? >> This is what? My body or something there. Got my body. >> So, that's the back. Back of the hand from the wrist down. >> What happened? >> Nothing. Yeah. >> Okay. >> Same process procedure. >> My butt. >> What's that? Stop. Grab with this hand. Thank you. Use it this way. >> Appreciate that. >> Knife hand. Do you feel anything? No? Okay. Turn your hand around. Knife hand. There you go. Back of the hand. There you go. Take a seat. Take a seat. Take a seat. >> You're all good. You're all good. There's nothing in the bag. >> Watch your head. >> May I have my glasses, please? >> Just like you figured. All right, we're going to buckle you in. Yes, sir. Got it. Okay. >> After being searched and placed in a patrol vehicle, officers transported Jill to the Brevard County Jail while the investigation continued. >> All right, this conversation I'm about to record is with uh Amy should be the victim in the fraud case. All right, Ms. Hatter, can you hear me all right? >> Yes, I can hear you. >> Okay. So, do you uh know a female by the name of Jill? >> No. >> Okay. So, you did not give any permission for a Jill Savage to use any of your personal identification information, which would be like your name, your social security number, your birthday, any of that, and and to withdraw funds from a bank account? >> No, I didn't give anybody no personal information and I don't even know that person. >> Okay. I understand. What had happened today was give you a brief rundown. I was I received a call that there was a female that was attempting to use a Michigan driver's license with your name and information inscribed on it in order to withdraw funds from a credit union down here, which was is part of like a branch of credit unions that I I am picking up that you're a member of, an extra credit union. >> Yes, that's yeah. >> They recognized this female uh because they had received bulletins from different credit unions that they were she was attempting to use other people's information in order to withdraw funds. So what they did is they used after she passed on the driver's license and attempted to take out money like via the teller. They had called us and I actually got there pretty fast and was able to detain her. Thank god. So she was attempting to withdraw $3,000 from your account. Oh my god. How she got that information I don't know. She did not want to speak with me after I read her Miranda rights. So I don't know how she got that. I don't know either. I did get a phone call or I got a alert on my phone from my online banking account and they asked me the bank asked me to call the branch you know the branch office here in Michigan obviously. So I called them and the lady was telling me that someone had my license and the reason they called her is because she spelled my name wrong on the license okay and she asked me if I was here in Michigan. I'm like yes I'm here in Michigan. I haven't been in Florida. All right. And she told me they tried taking $2,500 out. I didn't know it was 3,000. Jill was ultimately charged with criminal use of personal identification information, possession of a forged driver's license, uttering a false instrument, grand theft and resisting an officer without violence. According to court records bond was set on several charges as the case proceeded through the Florida court system. If you want more content like this, make sure to like, comment and subscribe.
