on March 21st 2023 in the Village of Howard Wisconsin officers were notified of a reckless driver in the area it was reported that the vehicle was all over the roadway and Crossing all Lanes of traffic it was then reported that the vehicle had stopped in the middle of traffic and the driver appeared to be falling asleep they eventually continued driving backing into the 911 caller and drove over a roundabout where the airbags were deployed how much we had to drink today all right why don't you step up for me we going to cut the [Applause] airbag got it you have an ID on you where hey hey be okay I understand that so if you do some field sobriety testing for me and we determine that you're okay to drive and that uh we can get you there then we'll absolutely do that but why do you have all these people because you got into an accident you ran over a roundabout and you crashed a car what are you oo crash car you you don't know that you were just involved in an accident I mean really need why need to step around here and see the front of your car just so you can you know observe that you were actually in fact in an accident's going to come and you're unstable on your feet I am you're not totally fine at all you you very easily could have gotten into an accident and killed somebody today AB absolutely I'm just really frustrated just please just like I cannot ma'am this really sucks CU I feel like all right I'll talk to you in a second as the officers completed the necessary paperwork to obtain a search warrant for her blood the driver named Beth managed to slip out of the handcuffs she had been restrained with okay so this is your accident report in full form okay there's an incident number on here that you're going to give to your insurance company I'm going to leave this with the officer up front here that can go with your property when you go to jail okay she slipped her cuffs come here no come here no do not actually you know what I'm at stop what they safety locked your arms a tiny wrist now you got a resistant charge no I don't because I didn't do anything well you slipped out of the handcuffs no I didn't sure he did you just handed them right to me no I didn't um I don't even know if I think that's good how's that that works I got a finger we're good all right I didn't do anything oh oh my God guys suck I didn't do anything that you said I did you know what this is why oh Beth was transported to the hospital for an evidentiary blood draw and then taken to jail reports did not indicate her BAC she was charged with OWI second operating with prohibited alcohol concentration second resisting or obstructing an officer and hit and run she was found guilty of all charges except operating with prohibited alcohol concentration and sentenced to 110 days in local jail in addition to her license being revoked for 7 [Music] months ow
