On July 2nd, 2024, officers in Ohio arrived at a home of a mother to enforce a custody order requiring her to hand over the child to the father. The child's father waited parked down the street while officers attempted to contact the mother. Here's what the officers did next. Hello. Hi. Are you Alexa? Why are you Alexa? Yes. Okay. Is um Oh my gosh. No, he didn't. What? Didn't what? Hold on. You want to talk with us out here for a second? Yeah. Onion strong. I'm sorry. You cooking chili or something? No. Uh, baked chicken and onions. Okay. She in there. Okay. She's perfectly fine. She's safe. Well, you know about it. Yes. We've been trying to get away from her daddy for almost 2 years now. Keep finding us everywhere, but we just in St. Louis in Columbia. It's an ongoing thing. Use a court case to find where we was at the first time in Colia. I told them that they everything is court documented, but they not trying to help. trying to make me give him give her to him, which I'm just not gonna do that. So, I really don't know how he got this address. I don't know either. Do you So, I was trying to just I was trying to look you up. Where do you have a driver's license through? What state? In Missouri. Missouri. Is your name spelled correctly? Yeah. And your birthday? 527.95. Mhm. And you have an ID through uh Missouri? No. Okay. Um, did you get a copy of this? All right. Bad news. This order right here, signed by a judge, issued by the Marian County Circuit Courty, says that it is ordered that law enforcement immediately assist Blake in obtaining the physical custody. So, she has to go with him today. That's the end of the story. You could listen. I got to go get my AT. Listen, you could be charged. She can't No, I want I want to get arrested. She not going with him. She's going with him. She's not going with him. She not going with him. Y'all can arrest me right now. She not going with him. She not going with him. They already know this. No, she not going with him. She's going with him. Or she's going with him and you're getting arrested. Which one? Y'all can arrest me. She not going with him. I'm Y'all can arrest me. I'm She not going with him. She not going with him. He already know that she not going with him. If I if I see her with him, I'm never gonna see my baby again. He don't He has no rights to my child. He been in jail whole entire life. No, he not going with her. No, I don't have money for none of that. This This paper's signed by a judge. He going with him. Y'all going to have to arrest me. We are bound by our duty to get her in his custody today. Okay? And you don't need to you don't need to make that any more traumatic on her than it needs to be. Because if if if we do arrest you, you know how bad that's going to look on you in front of a judge. So with any hopes you trying to get her right back and it shows that you got arrested when officers did this, it's going to look really bad. Are you hearing me? Are you hearing me? So I got kids and I know if I if I did something I get arrested, it's going to look really bad on me and I don't want that to happen to you. Okay? Do you get what I'm saying? Yeah, cuz if we r it's going to look real bad and the odds of you getting your kids back right away is going to be slim to none with the way if we end up having to rush you. We don't want to do that. No, you're fine, man. I wasn't making any progress. No, I can't take that. Do you understand what I'm saying? She don't even want to go. She in there. Y'all can ask her. She don't want to go with him. He abusive and beat my ass for years. Hard to go with him. So regardless of all that, I want to go talk to MC. Can I go get my I'm I I have to come in there with you since the kids and look listen. Please listen to me. I'm a I'm a parent, too. We don't want to arrest you cuz it's going to make you look bad, dear. Please understand that. Please. I don't want to arrest people. You understand? If we end up having to arrest you. No, you're not getting her. I'm getting her. We just going to fight. Y'all have to don't. Yeah, she I ain't worried about her. This is how she is. I understand. She got a warrant right now. I'm go in my car. You said she got a warrant. She had two warrants and more. How do you find her? See? See? She has a one through the family court and she has a one um um how she confirmed her name and birthday with me, but my dispatch couldn't find her. But I'll try again. Yeah. I don't know if it's cuz it's a misdemeanor and it's in Illinois or what? It should still show up. Huh? It should still show up. We're not going to let her go back in the house. No worries. She already said in there. Okay. Right now, we're just trying to find the easiest way to you. Do you have basic supplies for her at your place? Oh. Oh, yes. Yes, I have everything. She has her own room, everything. That's why, look, look, we proved her um DCFS called my phone um two months ago and said 2019, they found my daughter in the room with a loaded guns and bag of dope whenever my daughter was one years old. You know, I was in prison. I'll be honest with you. I did I did five five years in prison. I was on in costway 2006 and I came on 2000 on 20 on 21. But since I had all type of DCFS cases, all type of ones since I was in prison and everything, but yeah, see so how she homeless. I mean, we're going to have to figure out a way cuz the way she's acting, we might have to handcuff her and put her in a car. Yeah. I'm Yeah. And like like I said, trust me, you can come get her. Please do not let her go back in this. We're not going to. That's not going to happen. No, you're not getting her. You're not getting her. You're not getting her. Don't Don't It's going to make you look real bad. It's going to make you look real bad. I don't want you in trouble. Please. Let's go in here. You can make phone calls all you want. Let's go in here. Come on. It's not over at this. That's why you got to take the course. Come on. Let's go inside. No. Come in. No, it's coming now. You not You're not getting her. Y'all going to have to arrest me. I don't want to do that. Look at me. I don't want you. Look at me. I don't want to arrest you. They've been trying to take her for years. Please. So, why do you get a attorney? So, listen to me. I on a money standpoint, usually they don't want their money until after the court's over with. And a lot of a lot of a lot of attorneys will do a payment plan, dear. Okay? But this is a court order. It's signed by a judge. Our hands are tied on them. But how you act going forward, that's either going to hurt you or help you. And I don't want you in trouble. Do you understand that? I don't want you in trouble cuz then cuz then it's going to look so bad on you. You might not get her back. So if you just Can you help me calm her down? I got to get her. Can you help calm her down for me? What happened? So, we have a court order signed by the judge that the child goes with him. Signed by the judge, the Marian County one. So, so here's the deal. She's talking about if we take her, she's going to go to jail. I We don't want to arrest her cuz it's going to do nothing but make her look bad. We don't want her in trouble. We don't. Funny. So, cuz then if she get tries to go to get the kid back and it looks like she got arrested why we did this by order of the judge. I did it. But but listen to but please listen to me, dear. If we if by us doing this signed by a judge, if if she ends up getting arrested for interfering with this while we're doing it on behalf of a judge, I'm going to look real bad on her. And I don't want her in trouble. I don't. Please trust that. So, it's signed by a judge. It's not over. It's not over yet. What is the paper exactly? Uh my supervisor has a copy of What is it now? Let me hear, baby. Hey, breathe. Just breathe. Breathe. Breathe. I don't want to. She don't want to go in. Hey, just breathe. Breathe. Please. Plus, your kid don't need to see. We ain't never been away from each other. She can't go in bound by law. But you don't want your kid to see you like this, right? Do this, Lexi. I don't even know today. But I don't want your kid to see you like this. They can do it. That's like a judge can say anything. That's why I told her That's why I told her to get an attorney. She's worried about finances. A lot of times attorneys don't want money till after the case is over. They'll work with you. They really will. But our hands are tied when it's signed by a judge, dear. Okay. And she's talking about we're going to have to arrest her if we take her. I don't want that cuz it's going to look bad on her if she tries to get her kid back. So like without saying nothing to you, you somebody can take your kid like that. That's way above our pay grade. A judge signed that order. It's not police. It's not like we just randomly wanted to show up and take the kid. I'm a parent. I I don't like doing this. Okay. It's just by a judge. But what do she get a copy of the paper or no? What's that? Is it like a copy? Is that her copy? No. This I mean she as far as I know she can have this copy. I have an email copy too. So if you guys want to hold on to this, that's fine with me. Um, he told me that his lawyer emailed her a copy. I'm not sure what that happened. So, maybe when you were moving around or whatever and you said he keeps finding you, maybe he tried sending stuff when you moved. I don't know. Okay. I don't I'm not trying to paint a bad picture here. They've been trying to take her for years. Please don't make her go. I'm not going to get her back. They going to keep her. So that that paperwork doesn't say that he keeps her forever and you never get to see it. Right. That's what they doing. But that's what they've been trying to do for years. As soon as they get her this is seven pages long. It goes into a lot more detail. One of those details. Look listen. Let me find. So for the time being this order grants is Alexa. Mhm. Alternating weekends on Saturday and Sunday, 10 to 4. Let's see. Lexi. Oh, she just hit him. I'm telling you. I'm talking. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. I just [Music] car. No. No. He can't take her off. He's like, "I'm not going to get her back." Hey, listen. Listen. You want to wind up here, too? No. Get her out. Get him out of Get him out of her. Get him out. He already got You're under arrest. You're under arrest. You're underrest. Turn around. Put your hand. Get him out. Turn your Turn around. Get him out. Turn around and put your hands. Why is he still here? If he has the back, you're going to get sprayed. Why is he still Turn around and put your hands behind your back. Turn around. Why is he still here? Turn around and put your hands behind your back. Why is he still here right now? Why? Listen. Turn around. Why is he still here? You He agitated her. Turn around. Why? You are under arrest. Okay, you're under arrest. Make him leave first. We can all go to jail. Make him leave first. You are under arrest. Turn around and put your hands behind your back. Make him leave first. Turn around. Why is he still here? Back roadway. He can be here. He got the kid under the kid. Where she at? She's inside your house. We ain't never been away from I don't want her to see you like this. Except for right now, you don't sit here. I want to save my baby. 157. We have another unit available. Start this way. 157. We got one detained. We're about to have another one. I don't want this to escalate any further. Then why didn't you tell me in the front jump that he didn't have her? He came hot and bothered trying to inter bother. I came to get her. Officer Taylor, she's under arrest. Okay, just please. Please listen. Why don't you ask I'm asking you please just don't resist. just complying. So, I'm asking please. Why you didn't just say go get the kid out the house so he can go? She already told y'all what she own. She got the hair caught up in there. We're We're trying to fix your hair, dear. Please. We got more officers on the way. Okay. Okay. Well, thank you for not getting involved. Listen, the way you were acting, it's not the way I was acting. No, I came to collect her and tell him to leave. Led to your arrest. You should have said that over there. I have no intention out of the house. You came and interfered with my arrest. I have no intention of taking you to jail. Okay. I have no intention on taking you to jail, but you are under arrest. After we get this all figured out, I'll give you a summon and you'll be released back to your household. Okay. you. So, which one is the easiest one's the last? None of those kids is at the door or her. So, how old's your kid? She's only seven. Okay. Seven. Okay. All right. Well, let's walk this way. You can handle it yourself. Yeah. Um, yeah, she's under arrest for domestic violence. Um, 5303. I It sucks that it had to turn out like that. I know, man. Cuz she doesn't know how to stay calm. You can at least say bye to your daughter. What the Come on, man. I' I've tried three times and I can't figure out who she is. It's a Oh, yeah. I should lie about her name, too. That's what she has on case Illinois. She told the police that her name was my daughter's name. This is It's not spelled wrong, is it? No. A L E I A. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She has two wars. So, she had two of them. And are we sure this Are we sure this is her birthday? Positive. That's her birthday. See, I don't It might be It might be 96 or 94. I don't know what transpired with him and her. I was trying to do something else. No, I'm saying when we were at the door. Why y'all didn't just say the kid is still in the house? What are you talking about? He said she don't He don't have her. That's why he's still here. Yeah, he's supposed to be getting the kid. So, that's what I'm saying. That why y'all didn't say that. And she already told y'all what she own. And he come here trying to act like he bad roses. He tried to kill my niece. Will you hang out with her? Why? How am I supposed to He'll He'll help you. We were over there talking. I was going through the court order and she decided she's going to run and beat his ass. Right in front of you. Right in front of us. Oh my god. So, she goes over there, slaps him across the face, and he just bear hugs her till we get there. Is he okay? Does anybody No, he's fine. I mean, look at him. But, uh, is he the one from Chicago? Oh, you you look You got to promise me I'm going I don't usually do this, but I'm going to let you see your daughter one more time before he takes her. You understand? But hey, do you want your daughter to remember you looking like this? 27 I'm going to wipe her eyes wipe her eyes so she knows she left you. All right. Mommy wants to tell you she loves you. Hey, don't give up. Say I love you, Mommy. I'm coming to get you. Okay. You're You're in no trouble, dear. Do you hear me? Young lady, you're in no trouble. Okay, sweetheart. You just go just go with your daddy. I'm coming to get you. Your mom loves you, okay? Don't let her remember you in a certain type of way. You hear me? Where did she hit you up, brother? She hit me. She buckled in. She kicked me. She ble. Okay. I don't want her to hear. I don't want her to hear either. I don't It's hard for a kid. Technically, the kids the real victim, right? Yeah. They should never even see none of this in the first place. So So I know she ran up here, but in your own words, what happened? Um she she ran up on me, kicked me, and then she tried to um she tried to punch my car, then I grabbed her and she hit me in my face. Okay. Uh, you got your ID on you both? I know you dealt with my other officer, but I'm uh she's being arrested today for domestic violence. Okay. I know you said you wanted charges, too. And so, what's your phone number, Blake? Okay. What's your actual address? Is it this? No. No. It's 15. Where? Did she strike you in the face? Right here. I know. We saw it. You can't really see nothing. Yeah, I got you. So, just the hit in the face and then trying to come at your car. Okay. All right. Make sure you uh you keep contact with your attorney. Let them know what happened. Okay. I will. Um let them know the sequence of events that took place here. Um yeah, cuz she's already ordered to take anger management and mental evaluation, all that. I mean, that's just the show that she need. So, obviously, I didn't get a bag packed or anything. I was just trying to hurry, right? Yes. I was going to ask if she want to grab anything, but she said she doesn't want to grab anything. She has everything she needs. So, your daughter's going to need some help with this. Yeah, I know. It's still mommy. She still loves mommy. Mommy loves her, right? I was talking about that the whole ride here. Have to sympathize with her. Just don't paint mom in a bad picture. Oh, yall know. Okay. Please don't do that. One thing One thing I'll never do is what she did to me and keep my dog. That's one thing I'll never do. Okay. All right. Uh, go ahead and take off. If I have any other questions, I'll give you a call or my boss will give you a call. Thank you, man. Thank you guys so much. Thank you. Just call that number that's on there. Okay. Like I said, usually this phone number right here. Hold that. Any questions about that? All right. You're free to go. I'm I'm serious though. So your neighbor still in there with the other kids. Okay. To look into that court. St. Louis washed their hands of it. But so I just need you to understand the judge ordered this. So our hands are tied because the judge ordered it. But listen, cross your eyes and dot your tees. Well, we gave her a copy of what the paperwork said, okay? So, we're not trying to pull a fast one nobody. I know y'all just doing y job, but I'm telling y'all, do it to the tea. They got that court in Centroa, Illinois sold up. Okay. That's how he's able to do all of this. Did my niece drag her through the streets. It's all documented. He keep finding her everywhere she goes. So, right So, right now, your kids are kind of really upset. Some of them were crying. I think that needs to be your main I'm that's my concern but I want y'all to know just okay clear my contract I told you all right good luck to you okay um I'm going to take her back for DV is that all you're wanting DV and uh instruction you need to figure out who the [ __ ] she is uh do you have her phone she'll need her phone and then like if she's got an ID in there where She going to arrest us, sir. Uh, so this Yeah. Did you see her? She's punched right in front of us. And that's on her body cam here. She did it on purpose. I just I need I I just need to get her her cell phone so she can have numbers. And I need her her ID for the jail. I'm just going to wait here by the door. Okay. You know what is her phone and her ID? Okay, I'm okay. I'm all right. [Music] Can I talk to her before y'all take her? Yeah. 137273 Missouri. Thank you for getting the door. Thank you. The paperwork. No, she's she's she's going to have it. Fix it. Please cooperate. We're going to fix it. I know, baby. Please don't make it worse. Okay. I can't breathe. You need to go to the hospital. I need my baby. Lexi, please do not make it worse. I cannot help you if it gets worse than this. Okay. I done already put my job on the line. everything. So, just calm down, okay? And cooperate. We're going to fix it. I promise. You need to get all the battered women, anything that you can find while you're here. Ask for help. Okay? Calm down. I'm about to call your aunties and everybody. Just calm down, okay? And cooperate, Lexi, please. I gave him your ID and your phone. I have your ID and your phone. So, if you There's numbers in here you don't have memorized. You have your phone. Okay. Okay. All right. Thank you. Appreciate it. man. 34706. All right, dear. We're going to go inside my little temporary spot in here and we'll get the paperwork started. All right. Step out for me over there for me. All right, face face my car. All right, go ahead. Step on in here. See the black knob on the floor? You're going to stop there and then face that concrete wall. All right, go ahead. Step on in here. You're going to immediately hook a left and have a seat next to the desk. Yeah, right here, dear. Now, if I take those handcuffs off, are you going to change? Are you gonna be a little bit better for me? Keep your calmer. I got her ID over here if you needed it. I ran it. They found her. All right. Go ahead. Have a seat. Okay. You already notified of your rights. Okay. So, again, state of Ohio is pretty serious about DV based off what we saw and what he wanted done. That's the reason why you got charged with domestic violence today. Okay, we're going to get my cruiser again. Okay, you want your seat belt on or no? It's up to you. No. Okay. How long have you lived here in Ohio? I just got here like two weeks ago. And if you're going to be living here, I'd get your ID updated. Okay. And then uh that'll help you when you try to apply for a protection order because it'll show you you're living within Butler County. Okay. All right. I don't know when he did it, but everything that I had in my phone for me to leave it was he deleted everything. He deleted all our old messages from way back in 2016. He deleted. Any witnesses? If you have any friends? My auntie, my daughter, like they let her talk in court, which is documented. Okay. What about the aunt or whoever that you live with? Yeah, she when we was in Florida, that was her first time seeing it. Okay. Well, she's a witness. Okay. They might have them fill out a statement. Um, bring them with you. Okay. Uh, but a protection order will never be granted if you never apply for it. Okay. The worst thing you could do is apply and they say no. At least you tried, right? God, I wish you would have listened to me. Cuz all the kids got upset over this. She doesn't seem My daughter doesn't seem to I know, but she was crying and she's the real victim out of all this. All those kids are. They don't need to see that. The best thing you could do is be there for her by being cool, calm, collective, and then trying to do it the right way through the courts. Say he wins this week. Guess what? Maybe you get something started and then that court order gets deleted out and then you'll have a different court order that says they go with you. Okay. But if you don't do something through the courts on your end, you ain't never going to get it. All right. Yeah. just running and running and taking the kid with you and not hand facing it. I only start running because when I got the order of protection was after I I had look for my baby for like 3 weeks. I paid my little brother and follow him to find him. He text me the day he was supposed to bring her back. I was like, "We move. You're not going to find where we at." I told them that. They didn't listen to me. They made me take her back to him and he put his hands on me. That's when I got the order of protection. Then she we went to court for a couple days and then she she said she couldn't do nothing because of the court case in Illinois. I was following the court rules. I told the judge what happened. They just wasn't transparent cuz the way he act I'm passionate my baby. I got you. That's why I try to keep talking to you to get you to That's why I repeated myself over and over. I was trying to get you to understand. Don't do something stupid to get yourself arrested cuz it's going to look bad on you. Okay? I was trying I wasn't just trying to bull crap you. I wasn't trying to pull one over. I was trying to get you to not get in trouble. But when you go running after him and then start swinging at him and going towards his car, you can't do that. You know, you do understand though like where our hands are tied when the judge signs it. Yes. Okay. I just A lot of people can't wrap their hand around it. Just the judge has has way more power than me. Okay. Mhm. But the best they can do is just comply and go with it and then be smart and get an attorney and then eventually it'll work itself out. Okay. The suspect was charged with domestic violence. In court, the Susili did not guilty to domestic violence, but was found guilty. The court sentenced her to 6 months of jail with 150 days suspended alongside 2 years of probation with credit for 30 days served. She was also ordered to pay $1,75 in fines and court costs with $600 suspended and attend anger management classes.
