A hospital bill somehow turned into a full-blown confrontation with medical staff, security, and police [music] all getting pulled into the chaos. And once officers tried to control the situation, she was still not ready TO CALM DOWN. >> [screaming] >> ON JANUARY 17TH, 2025, officers were called to a hospital after staff reported that a female patient was causing problems and had allegedly assaulted medical staff and security. Well, let's see how a dispute at a hospital ended with multiple assault charges, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. >> Sometimes I'm at my location. Okay, I'm waiting at shoulder pain. >> You guys basically just hold her until the other cops show up? >> Yeah, we held her and we just trying to figure out if they wanted to keep her. But they said um just take her outside. >> Okay. >> So we just walked her outside and let her go. And that's when like 2 minutes later >> [screaming] [screaming] >> When private security detains someone and removes them from a property, police can still make their own investigation when they [music] arrive, right? If officers have enough legal grounds based on the reported crime, they can make an arrest. And [music] if the person refuses lawful commands or actively resists, officers may use reasonable force to make the arrest. Pulling away, fighting, or obstructing an officer can also lead to additional resisting charges depending on local law AND THE FACTS. >> [screaming] >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND your back. The suspect was charged with disorderly conduct, multiple counts of assault, and resisting arrest. And just when you think things couldn't get any more chaotic, the next case takes a completely different turn. Let's move on to what happened there. She was already in custody, but somehow managed to create an even bigger mess from inside the cell. [music] And when officers came back to deal with her, she was ready to argue, resist, and make things even more difficult. On February 15th, 2025, officers were dealing with a woman who'd been arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken into custody. Now, instead of cooperating with the officers and allowing the booking process to continue, she continued arguing and refusing to accept what was happening. Well, let's see how a DUI arrest led to another confrontation inside the jail and several additional criminal charges. >> I was going to I was going to get her a ride. Why? It's jail crap. [music] Well, how do people become so unhinged nowadays? Although the initial DUI arrest was not captured on video, the police report confirmed that the suspect [music] was arrested, charged with resisting arrest, battery of an officer, DUI, possession of paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct. Now, being arrested doesn't mean that someone can simply refuse to go with the officers. If a person resists or gets physical with an officer, that can lead to additional charges. The same goes for disorderly conduct. Creating more problems inside a jail cell can make an already serious arrest even more complicated. >> [music] >> The lesson here is simple, man. Saying I refuse to be arrested does not cancel an arrest. Fighting, resisting, [music] or causing more problems can lead to even more charges.
