I'M A MAN. I DON'T WANT TO DO [ __ ] TO Y'ALL. I'LL BUY Y'ALL FAMILIES GETTING [ __ ] POPPED. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? COULDN'T HAVE THE ONE GIRL. YOU QUIT YOUR [ __ ] JOB. Ugliest >> Today we're going to look at a master class of how to talk your way into a jail cell. What starts out as a simple traffic stop for a stolen license plate quickly turns into a chaotic physical extraction and one of the most unhinged meltdowns we've ever seen. In today's breakdown we're going to look at the exact Supreme Court law that makes this arrest 100% legal. The hidden tactical danger of reaching for your phone during a traffic stop and the deep psychology of why suspects use extreme verbal abuse when they finally lose control. Let's get right into it. >> Do you have a registration? >> Yeah, there is. >> Is this your vehicle, sir? >> No, sir. This is my grandmother's vehicle. >> Your grandmother? What's your grandmother's name? Okay. Can you come out real quick? >> Yes, sir. >> So, come here real fast. >> Yes, sir. >> So, there's no plate right there? >> Yes, sir. >> And then the back plate actually comes back stolen. That's why we're stopping you right now, okay? >> Yeah, be careful. Bye. >> Okay, does that make sense now why we're stopping you because you have no plate? >> I totally understand, but I told them that it was stolen by my >> Yeah, that's fine. >> cousin's grand >> So, until we can verify that we're going to we're going to make sure that's not the right vehicle, okay? Because people actually put plates on there. So, this plate comes back stolen, which is why we stopped you right now, okay? >> Okay. >> Do you have a license on you? >> No, sir. But I do have my ID. >> That's fine. I appreciate it. I suggest you not having an ID right when that's when we're actually trying to get something done. >> I was just >> And also you don't have a license, why are you even driving in the first place, sir? >> All right. >> Does your Does your passenger have a driver's license? Okay. >> I'm able to get her. >> Yeah, you should probably start working on that. You can take Go and take a seat real quick and we'll get that figured No, we're not done yet. All right. >> Do you have an ID on you, dear? Huh? She doesn't want to give it to the sergeant. >> I left it at home, really. >> This is just in, do you have insurance on your vehicle? Do you have insurance? >> I'll prove it in court. >> What? >> I'll prove it in court. >> Okay, that's fine. Uh is your grandmother is that your grandma's car? Is she on the way? How long until she is here? Until she is here? Do you know how long until she is here? Probably an hour. I'm going to have you step out of the vehicle and we're going to take your vehicle then, sir. >> Why are you towing the vehicle for? >> We're going to have to tow the vehicle. >> She's right around the corner. IT'S ON 3RD STREET. >> to follow me back here. >> You said an hour, correct? We're not going to wait an hour. We're going to We're going to take your vehicle. >> Right. >> Okay. >> What are you towing the vehicle for if the if the >> The registered owner is on the way. He said she's going to be here in an hour. >> She's on the way. >> You said an hour, didn't you? >> She's on the way, though. >> But you said an hour. >> on the way, right? >> But it's going to be an hour. >> She's able to get the vehicle, right? >> In an hour? >> She's able to get the vehicle. >> right around the corner. She has to GET A RIDE. >> THAT'S NOT AN HOUR. >> IT DOESN'T MATTER. SHE HAS TO GET a ride. I'm in her car. >> It's right around the corner. >> I know. >> You're not supposed to be driving, sir, correct? We're not going to wait an hour. >> Keep following me there. >> That's not No, I'm not going to follow you there. >> Bro, they are boring. >> Car are you Let's go. Step out of the vehicle. >> So, you're about I'm not about to TOW HER CAR. >> OKAY. >> BRO, I'M NOT DOING THAT. BRO, WHY ARE YOU TAKING ME FOR IF I'M ABOUT TO CALL HER BACK? I LIVE right around the corner. >> YOU ARE DOING THIS STAY IN THE CAR. STAY IN THE CAR. >> ARE YOU FOR REAL? >> YEAH, STAY IN THE CAR. >> NO, DON'T DO THAT. >> STAY IN THE >> Y'ALL NO, Y'ALL ARE BORING. WE'RE NOT DOING [ __ ] >> WHO Y'ALL THIS AIN'T YOUR TRAP. >> I DON'T GIVE A I'M IN THIS CAR. THIS IS OUR GRANNY'S CAR. >> STAY IN THE >> BRO, I'M ABOUT TO RECORD THE OUT OF Y'ALL CUZ I HAVE A RIDE. OKAY, SO I'M GOING TO STAY RIGHT HERE. BRO, I JUST HAD SLIDES. Y'ALL JUST TOOK ME OUT MY SEATS. You mean who finna run? I don't give a [ __ ] about Y'all are boring AS [ __ ] LIKE I SAID. Who y'all? >> Are we done with her? >> Okay, let's pause right here cuz the suspects fundamentally misunderstand how the law works on the side of the road. First, let's talk about the tactics of the tow. He has no driver's license. The driver has no license. And the license plate is literally reported stolen. Suspects always think that they You just call a family member to come pick up the car. >> But police officers are not valet attendants. They cannot legally leave a vehicle with a stolen plate sitting on a public roadway for an hour while they wait for a mythical grandmother to show up. But here is the legal breakdown. The suspects think that the police have no right to order them out of the car. This is completely false. In 1997, the US Supreme Court ruled in a famous case called Maryland [music] v. Wilson. This ruling explicitly states that police officers have full legal authority during a lawful traffic stop for any reason, no questions asked. >> The moment they refuse a lawful order, they cross the line of a traffic violation to a criminal act. Also, guys, wait a second. If you enjoy these deep and interesting breakdowns of body cam footage, make sure to check out our channel Daily Instinct. Now, let's get back to the video. >> Ma'am, we need you out of the vehicle, please. We're going to be towing your vehicle. We need you out of the vehicle. Get out of the car. >> Y'ALL WEIRD. OKAY, >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> This car [ __ ] >> Grab your car. Get out of the car now. >> I'm grabbing my stuff. Y'all blowing it. >> Get out of the vehicle. >> Y'ALL AWESOME. DON'T TOUCH ME. >> to stand up and stop. >> Don't touch me. DON'T TOUCH ME. >> YOU NEED to stand up and >> GET OUT OF MY FACE. >> YOU NEED TO START LISTENING. >> [ __ ] OUT OF MY FACE. >> THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'M TELLING YOU TO >> Y'ALL ARE WEIRD. >> YOU NEED TO STAND OUT OF THE VEHICLE. >> DON'T TOUCH ME. GET OUT OF MY FACE. DON'T TOUCH ME. >> THERE. >> DON'T TOUCH ME. STOP TOUCHING ME. >> LET ME SEE YOUR driver's back. >> Y'all are blowing it. What y'all doing that for? Y'all are weird. >> What's up with >> Y'all are WEIRD AS WHAT Y'ALL DOING THAT FOR? Y'ALL [ __ ] WEIRD. OH MY GRANNY, Y'ALL ARE AWESOME. [ __ ] >> We're not going to put her in the back of the >> [ __ ] y'all ugly Y'all weird as on my granny. I know you're fine. I'll beat the fool. I'm on granny. What the [ __ ] y'all weird as [ __ ] >> Come on. >> [ __ ] the [ __ ] Get up. WEIRD UGLY [ __ ] NO, MOVE. YOU'RE WEAK FOOL. You're weak. I promise you ain't stronger than me. I PROMISE YOU'RE NOT. YOU SO WEAK ASS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? >> YOU NEED TO STOP. >> GET OFF OF ME. WHAT THE [ __ ] ARE YOU DOING AND I'M RIGHT HERE. MOVE. >> YOU NEED TO STOP. >> NO, GET OFF OF ME. >> You need to stop resisting. That's fine. You can get out. >> Yeah, GET THE [ __ ] OFF OF ME, [ __ ] WITH YOUR DUMB ASS. I'M NOT NO [ __ ] KID. MOVE. I'M TRYING TO SIT HERE. MOVE. >> NO. >> Get the [ __ ] OFF OF ME. >> STOP. I'M NOT PLAYING WITH YOU. STOP IT RIGHT NOW. >> LISTEN, NOT YOUR traffic stop. >> I'M NOT PLAYING WITH YOU, [ __ ] I'M NOT PLAYING WITH YOU. GET OFF OF ME. >> [screaming] >> I'M NOT PLAYING WITH YOU. Y'ALL WEIRD AS [ __ ] Y'ALL WEIRD AS [ __ ] GET off of me. I CAN'T BREATHE. >> [screaming] >> MOVE. Y'ALL WEIRD AS [ __ ] NOBODY GOING TO DO [ __ ] Y'ALL WEIRD AS [ __ ] AIN'T NOBODY GOING TO DO >> [screaming] >> LET ME GO. WHAT THE [ __ ] IS WRONG WITH Y'ALL? >> [screaming] >> GET OUT OF HERE. LET ME GO. Y'ALL CORNY AS ON MY GRANNY, Y'ALL CORNY AS >> WE NEED A MAXI. >> GET OFF OF ME. I AIN'T DOING [ __ ] TO Y'ALL. BRO, HELP ME. I'M RECORDING THESE [ __ ] Y'ALL WEIRD ON MY GRANNY. >> Give me the car. >> Okay, let's pause right here because pulling out a cell phone in saying, "Let me grab my stuff." In this specific scenario is incredibly dangerous. And most civilians don't understand why. He yells, "I'm about to record y'all." And reaches around inside of the car and also says, "Let me grab my stuff." And from a police survival standpoint, this is a nightmare. You have to remember the context. These officers are investigating a vehicle with a stolen license plate. And in law enforcement, stolen plates are heavily associated with violent felonies, armed robberies, and suspects running away from the police. When a non-compliant suspect in a stolen car starts suddenly reaching around, starts digging around for an unseen object, officers have a fraction of a second to decide if she's grabbing an iPhone or a gun. But tactically, officers are trained never to let a suspect establish a stronghold inside a vehicle. A car is full of blind spots. The longer she stays anchored in that seat, the more time she has to access a concealed weapon or put the car in drive. This is exactly why the officers don't just stand there and argue with her. The moment she refuses to step out, they immediately use physical extraction to get her out of that fatal funnel. And once she realizes the camera trick completely failed, watch how her brain absolutely snaps in the back of the cruiser. >> Y'all weird. Y'ALL WEIRD. Y'ALL COURTNEY IS [ __ ] WHAT THE [ __ ] IS MY CELL PHONE? [ __ ] WHAT TYPE OF [ __ ] IS THIS, HUH? I'M A LEAF [ __ ] UP. ON MY GRANNY. Y'all weird as [ __ ] Y'ALL LUCKY I DON'T TAKE THIS [ __ ] IN. Weird as [ __ ] Get out of here with this weird ass [ __ ] Yeah, hurry up and get me the [ __ ] out of here. Y'all weird as [ __ ] >> This female suspect has just now realized that she has absolutely zero control over the situation. She's in handcuffs, locked inside a metal cage, and going to jail. For someone with this level of powerlessness, it's psychologically unbearable. And to cope with this total defeat, her brain goes on the offensive. Notice how she hurls the most vile, extreme insults imaginable. She attacks their manhood, their families, and their authority. Psychologically, she's trying to provoke an emotional reaction from the cops. If she can make them angry or get them to yell back at her, it gives her a false sense of power. Notice the brilliant de-escalation tactic that the officers use. Absolute total silence. They don't argue with her. They don't defend [music] their families. They just close the door and let her scream. By completely ignoring her, they deny her the emotional reaction that she is so craving. >> My sister's right there. Who was SUPPOSED TO [ __ ] DRIVE Y'ALL ASSES? COULDN'T WAIT. Y'ALL WANT TO TOW THE CAR CUZ YOU GOT OTHER [ __ ] TO DO THAN [ __ ] WHY WOULD YOU WORRY ABOUT US IN THE FIRST PLACE? Y'all weird as [ __ ] Out of one of y'all >> What started as a simple investigation into a stolen license plate ended with multiple criminal charges, all because of ego. Instead of stepping out of the vehicle and letting the police sort out the registration issue with their grandmother, this passenger chose to actively resist a lawful order. She caught immediate charge for obstructing a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. This video is the ultimate reminder of the golden rule of law enforcement. You can fight your case in a courtroom, but you will never ever win a physical fight against the police [music] on the side of the What did you think of how the officers handled this chaotic extraction and the verbal abuse?
