on April 27th 2024 officers in Washington responded to a shoplifting in progress involving a woman with a young baby at a safet grocery store as officers rushed to the store dispatch advised the trying to help they were trying to stop the shop what it was what old was she taking oh it was a okay she to out that whole thing these bag are from here too okay so do you guys need a receipt for wasn't crying or anything didn't seem distressed but I have five kids my youngest is two so when I saw him getting thrashed around he was just suppos to hitting his head on the pole a couple of times so I I I intervened and I tried to diffuse it and I hey you know I'll buy this stuff you know just [ __ ] let her go you know um well she had a couple of bags with her that she claimed were hers when she came into the store they maintained that she put items from Safeway in there I'm sure I'm sure it's true I'm sure stor are true snacky snack dude she seems uh she seemed very um he seem very no look F so so they were accusing her and then and then in the process they're like hey we she's holding on to this to the and they're holding on to the shopping yeah he's he's like just a like he's attached she was like shoes I don't intervene in other people's business it's not my business but I I have to say something there wasn't a moment where her hand wasn't on the stroller and she wasn't trying to get away from the security guards that he wasn't being thrashed or being neglected as far as she ever address anything that he was saying um no sorry anything about Kido don't touch my son give my son back she almost to stroller off over over there uh trying to steal the bags again um and then over here she knocked him over Absolut like all the way over and the guy the black guy that just walked outside he actually caught him before he hit the floor UPL we got a K in there if you guys want to check on the K first and then check on Mom after um so the lady that's arrested now she's shoplifting she's holding on to the stroller while they're like trying to stop her and kiddo just just get around hit the ground a couple times yeah maybe sounds like he might have gotten caught one of the times but he's just getting jostled and trash yeah I just kind of get your account what you saw what happened all right so I was upstairs watching from the cat and you intentionally he told me she came with bags that were empty but from what I saw there was they had a full observation of her and from what I saw she came through the house she didn't even stop at check out she just went right through and just tried to go so we told her just give us some stuff back I I was just trying to think I was just thinking about the kid you understand I told her just go and she said she wasn't want to go and the was just flying everywhere and I just right where you guys came that's when I grabbed the kid so from falling on the floor scratching his face techically I got kid on my own so yeah you as I pulled up man you l c the kid yeah it was the kid F you know what I mean but yeah that's she did we did have all our elements so yeah you saw a selection yeah everything and then uh when she's trying to push out like was she using her kid as like a as like I mean like a h like I get what you mean not really she did it at the end and I was I told her I was I'll help you with the stroller just go just go let let's get the stuff back cuz you don't want it to be taken she said she don't give a she needs it uhuh she said she kept saying she came with the bag which she didn't and I'm telling her they just go and then she just started swinging the baby around in the stroller so I don't know all I was caring about was the kid that's it the second that we came out here she started pass now I can't breathing I was like oh you were fighting pretty good though so that's funny still just acting okay so no I no use Force except for just grabbing her no okay no I mean swarming I guess technically but um yeah once I saw her like start to run out the door and then knock the kid down in the be checking the area I got firing rout someone bringing a car seat uh we'll have to do the child removal she's underr for three and then okay oh I guess I'll just let her know all right so right now you're under arrest for that three and obstruction okay uh someone needs to stay here with her though yeah I'm staying here all right hey we're trying to figure out your your kid's name what's your kid's name ma'am ma'am ma'am talking to you hello fire's going to come check you out end up going to the hospital be cited at large she has no one else to come get the child so we're going to have to do the child REM why she going she said she swallowed dough and we don't have stacking really to have someone sit on but we're going to have to have someone sit with the child so that's going to remove too so we're just going to have to go to the hospital what's the crime and through the medical stuff with a shoplift incident she had the sun with her and medical staff thought that du were mental state she wasn't fit to uh take care of the kids so this is a prior CPS intake number that you might be able to give them so that way they already had the names there instead of giving them all the names it looks like they spelled the name differently in that report uh and stomach what am I supposed to do what am I supposed to do you are refusing me to get a rape kit I was raped and you're refusing to give me a rape kit what is wrong with you I'm a pregnant woman and I'm about to pck all over the S CU it's depressing on my want to do that I told you 2 hours ago what is wrong with you this is unlawful and this is unlawful I told you I had to use the bathroom and I told you that I couldn't breathe I am a pregnant woman you cannot jail like this this is a lawsuit this is a huge lawsuit the suspect was charged with theft neglect of a child obstructing official business tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance while being medically treated at the hospital the suspect removed two pills and a bag of powder identified as fentanyl that she was concealing she ingested the two pills at the hospital but was later medically cleared to be transported to Jail the suspect one-year-old baby was cleared of any injuries and taken into protective custody by Child Protective Services
