I'm I'm a civilian witness to all this, guys. So, I didn't want And this hothead This hothead knows, you know what I mean? Who's hothead? This hothead. Me? Okay. Well, I apologize. So, me and my guy on the hill is going to stand here until you get your paperwork straight, okay? And I'm not trying to be rude to you, but you need to get your paperwork straight. This is the most incompetent stuff I've ever seen. A man stands firm on his private property as two officials try to serve a court summons regarding a dog nuisance complaint, but things quickly spiral when the man exposes how poorly handled the paperwork was, including a botched court date and unclear sender information. Under rule four of the New Hampshire Rules of Civil Procedure, a summons must be served with clear, accurate dates and information, or it's invalid. The man points out they originally set the court date to the 21st, then changed it to the 25th, scratched it out, and still expected him to comply. He tells them bluntly, "You really messed up the paperwork." and refuses to accept anything not done properly, reminding them that he's been respectful, but will not tolerate legal sloppiness. It's private property. Yep. It's uh it's correct. Going to warn you. We just have an updated uh piece of paper for him. It's just a change on like the dates for it. He sent us an email, and we're just going to follow up with that email. Um cuz I don't know. I responded to the email. It says my direct something@gmail.com. I don't think it's his. He must have sent it through something. It's his. Is is it actually his? My general post office, yeah. Is it my general post Yeah, it's my general post office. Come on, guys. So, if we Come on, of course you can use the email. If we reply to that, does that go straight to him, or is that from like a third party? I send him emails every day. Okay. So, so like Come on, guys. You You can't use an email he forwarded to you? It looked like it was like a third party email. Well, so when I click the email, it would go to a web browser. Yeah, it's not like a it's not like an email address. I send them emails all the time. My Is it my general delivery at gmail.com? Yep. And that goes to Chris? Yep. All righty. I don't know if Chris is going to come out or what not, but It's It's the same It's not mine. I don't keep Well, I know it's It doesn't involve you. I understand that. It's the same paperwork. It's just an updated uh date for him. Yeah. It's So, what we'll what we'll do is we'll respond to that email. Give you copies of it to give to him if you want. Um, and then he doesn't show for the 21st I ain't delivering nothing. I mean, you guys I tried to deliver it to them. Like I said, I went down to the courthouse. They wouldn't even accept the paperwork, so Oh, on behalf of Chris? Yeah, it's like, "What the heck, guys?" Is there a spot you want me to leave this in if you don't want So, you know what I mean? So, I don't know what to do. Do you have a mailbox I can stick this in the mailbox? you want to exercise whatever you think you got to exercise with the school. I'm fine with that. Well, I know I'm being I know I know I'm being uh gang stalked here. I know this. Okay. You know what I mean? And I don't like it. I don't like it. I I have a relationships and friendships with police officers and you know what I mean, state troopers in the past. You know, I know you know, very well, but I've never seen anybody act this incompetent. Okay. Well, I mean, you you really messed up the paperwork. Okay, well, it was the court date that was messed up. No, it's more than that. It's when you gave it to us you went to try to you said the 21st and you you actually gave it to us the 25th, which you scratched that out, but you messed up the the court date. Uh, so it it is the 21st. It Do you have a mailbox I can just leave that if you don't want to deliver it? It's not mine. No, is there a mailbox for for Chris? Is there a spot that like I can leave this for Chris and he can pick it up? I don't understand, Anthony. Really don't. Okay. Really don't. We're just trying to update the court date, but You're awfully young, bud. Thank you. Awfully young. Do you want me to leave this in a mailbox or something for you? You're going to have to bring it. I mean again, you send an send an email. That's how I send it. We're we're going to send an email, but we just want to leave him a physical copy, too. You're going to have to send an email. I mean cuz that's what the way you wanted him to communicate with you was through email. No, I didn't receive it. You You That's what you said when you were here. I'm a I'm I'm a recipient witness to all this, guys. So, I didn't And this hothead This hothead knows, you know what I mean? Who hothead? This hothead. Me? No, this hothead. Oh, okay. This hothead knows. It's what It's what you called me that day, a hothead. Did I? Yeah. I Anthony respectful and cordial. I um it's difficult to communicate with somebody uh over what's happening when somebody's like in the background kind of interrupting or whatnot. So interrupting. Okay. Well, I apologize if I called you a hothead. But um I don't want your apology, Anthony. It's not what I'm looking for. Okay. I'm I'm asking you to you know, get your get your paperwork straight. Yeah. Get your case straight. That's what we're here for. You know you don't get to take this time to terrorize people. You know that. Okay, so we're not terrorizing you. Well, that's what you're doing. No, this is You show up unannounced. You show up unannounced. But this is What did you just say, sir? What did you just say, sir? Believe us. What did you just say, sir? You wanted to die on the hill. It's a general speech. That's not That's not civil, here, buddy. That's not civil. That's not civil. Listen. Listen. Listen. Okay. All right, well we're So, Chris, if you're going to watch this later, we're going to file it with the court for the 21st. Uh it's for the same uh violation that we gave you originally. And um right here. Uh January 21st, Newport District 8:00 uh for dogs and menaces, nuisance, and uh vicious. And we're going to send the email. You're less than 20 days to prepare. That's not even fair. That's not even how you do this. You've given him less than 21 days to prepare. Do you want a Do you understand that? You're giving him less than 21 days to prepare. You don't even know what this is about. You've never even given discovery. The courtroom doesn't even have a docket for this. Okay? Okay. So, we're So, me and my die on the hill is going to stand here until you get your paperwork straight. Okay? But, I'm not trying to be rude to you. But, you need to get your paperwork straight. This is the most incompetent stuff I've ever seen. When the officers say they're setting a new court date, the man immediately pushes back, pointing out the unfairness of short notice. According to the Sixth Amendment of the US Constitution, every person has the right to be informed of the nature and cause of accusations and be given adequate time to prepare a defense. You're giving less than 21 days to prepare. That's not even fair. He argues, calling the entire process the most incompetent stuff I've ever seen. The officers scramble to fix the date and apologize, offering February 11th instead, showing how the man's knowledge of the law completely disarmed their attempt at rushing the case. Okay. All right. I don't want to get you in trouble. So, get your stuff together and get it straight. So, It was a mis- uh the court date was a mistake on our part. We fully acknowledge that. It was not your fault. Um I I apologize. Uh we're going to get you a new court date. So, we'll get you a Yeah. Cuz you're going to give him more than 21 days to prepare. Would you Would you take a February court date? We can change that up. We had not filed the complaint yet. So, once we give you a summons, then we will file the complaint. Uh let me look up a new court court date and for February. Okay. If that makes you feel Well, I I think it's only fair. And I I would agree. I can do that. I think it's only fair. Thank you. Do you mind if we uh Uh once I give you the February date, I just cross it out and write it out. And I'll do it right in front of you. No problem. I think that'd be best. Thank you, Anthony. No problem. I'm not here to be like, you know, to be your enemy, so. You got to understand, people are trespassing. We own all this. All this. Over here, over here. They were just here this weekend with the dogs. Who was? Lady I trespassed, told her not to come back. They do it every day. Got to understand, man. This is private property. It's not a public road. Is there something you can like talk to the town hall, see if you can We talked to the neighbors. All the neighbors told February 11th. February 11th, yep. That's Newport District as well. You know, all the neighbors know the dogs. Like I said, matter of fact, they like it because again, people come through here. They come through ATVs and high high rate of speed. What's this? I'm going to get a notepad so we can Okay. Uh what were you saying about ATVs? They come through here with a high rate of speed. Do you um Well, you can't go to the town No, not the town. Just the agents usually um Again, I'm not that person. I tell them, you know, you're trespassing. I try to stop them. I try to stop them. They come through in high rates of speed all times of night. Okay. So. Like the So cool. February 11th, 2024. Uh still Newport District for this. Um obviously we told you we're recording, so if you want to sign it, you can sign it. If not, whatever. I'm also going to email that general thing, my general delivery. Uh if you'd like, we can also scan a copy of this or we can you can just uh physically receive one right now. you can give me a copy, that'd be great. me just change it here, too. Okay. 211 44. Um What do you have in Ledgewood? Ledgewood? Or excuse me, Ledgewood. Okay. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to make sure it's correct, guys. Yeah, I get it, man. I like again, apologize. It was a It was a mistake on our part. got to You got to get your paperwork correct, buddy. It's important. I mean, this is just a dog case. If you're doing something else, you got to have correct paperwork, guys. Yeah, I agree. You know? You know, because that's You got to have correct paperwork, man. All right. If you just want to look over that real quick. I don't have my glasses, but yeah. Uh you got them on your shirt. Oh, I do. You get that with them on top of my head. Yeah, yeah, I do it all the time. Today So, today's date is 12 11 21. So, you did So, today's date is what? Today's 30th. 30th. 12 30 24. Yeah. You got to change it on here, too. Thank you. Yeah, today is the 30th. Yeah, thank you. Um we'll also send it to that email if Please. Uh so, I believe Case number There is a case number. Yep. I think one of you reached out to I think it our court liaison. Uh Ellis That would have been him. So, one of Cuz uh he I sent him my I can't Well, what we'll do is we'll forward Yep. uh copy of this to Ellis Yep. and that general delivery email Right. uh saying that we just served you today. Okay. And it's for February 11th. We're going to go back uh submit the complaint to court uh today as well. Today is the 30th. Today is the 30th. The 30th. So, give us time to get prepared and find out We're going to ask for discovery. You know Yeah, that's your That's your right. Obviously, we'll provide everything. We'll provide uh We appreciate that. portion everything, so. All right. Honestly, this should be the last time we're up here. So No boss. Good as well. Anthony Matt. Matt. Gabe. Appreciate it. At the end, he humbled the cops and they agreed to every correction he demanded from the court date to how the summons should be delivered. Under New Hampshire RSA 643:1, official oppression occurs when a public servant knowingly acts outside the law to harm another. When one officer casually used the phrase "die on the hill", the man immediately called it out as uncivil and inappropriate, reminding them that showing up unannounced and unprepared is a form of harassment, not enforcement. He stood his ground, demanded proper procedure, and told them, "You don't get to take this time and terrorize people." By the time it was over, the officers apologized, rewrote the date to February 11th in front of him, and admitted fault, leaving with nothing but respect for the man who knew the law better than they did.
