Go ahead and step out. I'm not getting out of my car. >> Ma'am, step out of the car. >> No. I'm not you. You have no authority. Because Pennsylvania v. Mim says I can order you out of the vehicle. All right, everybody, welcome back. We got another video for you. This one comes from Police Ride Along and it is sovereign citizen learns a swift lesson from no-nonsense cops. Haven't seen it. Let's go. Pulled you over because you don't >> First video from Police Ride Along, so we'll check it out. >> Because I am part of the American State Republic. And did you know that we don't have to have tags or registration anymore? Do you know that? Okay. Your license? Yes, I do. The woman gave the office So, a lot of these claims are if the claims are valid, their claims are for traveling as a traveling on a a federal highway. States have their own laws and they would be then therefore they're going to have to follow state laws and most of the state laws the this kind of nonsense doesn't work. >> There a picture card with her name and date of birth. Can I get a 40-point for a sovereign citizen? The card also said American State Citizen, The United States of America Unincorporated. >> And I just want you to know I'm traveling in my private vehicle. I am not operating in commerce. Okay. Traveling in a private vehicle is key. or registration. I don't even have to have a driver's license, but as soon I just got that, so I haven't had a chance to address my other identification, but this is the new identification. It covers passport, driver's license, all of that. And it has all the documents in there for you to look at. Okay. Okay. So, I'm at least going to need to look at your VIN on your car. Like, what would you do in this case? If you were the officer, what would you do with the person telling you all this, giving you this ID? Uh Yeah, what would you do? No, you don't have to look at anything. This is my private vehicle. Okay. And I'm traveling. I am not operating in commerce. Okay. I know I don't I don't want to I know you're doing your job. I do think you're doing it. But a lot of that is going to be changing. Okay. So, you said it's going to be changing. It's not changed. It was I said right now. As of January the 1st, no one else is going to ever have to have a driver's license, registration. That's going to be nice. The 1st of what? Next year, 2020. We're still in 2020. >> doesn't matter. I am not a US citizen. I'm an American state national. Okay. I am an American citizen. The officer would wait for another unit to arrive before taking the next step. Which gave me Shana, a citizen of the United States. She's an American state citizen. But it says United States of America. What reason you give me any kind of driver's license? I said, "Okay." Yeah. >> Whatever registration. I said, "At least I need to check the VIN." She goes, "No, I do not." It's like Florida. I say we get her out. Huh? I say we get her out. Go ahead and step out. I'm not getting out of my car. Ma'am, step out of the car. >> No. I'm not you. You're not lawfully ordering me. Because Pennsylvania v. Mim says I can order you out of the vehicle. They're saying that Pennsylvania v. Mim is ordering me out of the car. So, for somebody who doesn't believe in all this stuff, all the, you know, they're walking to their beat of their own drum, they're not going to probably recognize this Pennsylvania Pennsylvania v. Mim's case that case law. So. Ma'am, I need you to step out of the car. >> Why? I have not committed any crimes. You don't have to commit a crime for that that case law to come into effect. The Supreme Court ruled that if an officer asks you to get out of the car during a traffic stop, then you'd have to do it. All she has to do is get out. If she wants to continue with the same song and dance, she can, but uh the courts have ruled that you do have to get out of a car if the police officer asks you on a traffic stop. Right now you are committing a crime, you're resisting. You're saying that me not getting out of my car is considered as being resistant? I want to be one apple signal 14, she's refusing to get out of the car. Here's the thing, just take the ticket, whatever. It just I don't understand. Is this really the I'm going to look. Yeah, just take the ticket. No, you need to step out. You need to step out right now. You're resisting. Give me one second, officer. A Cadillac? Going to bust the window out of the Cadillac here. Hey dispatch, this is signal 14, I'm about to bust the window out with a pepper blaster. Yeah, it's up against the curb, like she's in the parking stall. She's up against the curb in a large median area. Can you please ask your supervisor to come here? Get out of the car, ma'am. I'm about to take it. Here we go. >> you making me get out of my car? You got to get the right tool. There's a tool, this is like a window punch on a knife. I had one that you just pulled back, snapped, and it would shatter that window. The tint holds it on, too. GET [screaming] OUT OF THE CAR RIGHT NOW. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING. YEAH, GET OUT OF THE CAR OR YOU'RE GOING TO GET TASED. I I didn't do anything. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? What are you doing? What What are you >> Stop resisting. >> I'm not resisting. You've been resisting this whole time. You were just telling me to get out of my car. >> eyes cuz this is open. Yeah, he was giving you a lawful order to get out of a vehicle, correct? Correct? I want the ticket. Okay, and you're violating my constitutional rights. When people say that I I'd like to know what constitutional right. I'm I'm not saying there are aren't. I'm just saying what constitutional right is it that they're violating? Is it the Fourth Amendment? Is it What is it? What? So, right now your handcuffs are not double locked, which means you're going to get tighter. Tell me what crime I've committed. Right now it's resisting, okay? I haven't resisted. >> This man I asked you to get out. >> I haven't committed a crime. Whether you like it or not, it is resisting because they asked her to get out of the vehicle. She didn't do it, so it's resisting without violence in theory. I mean It's really kind of simple. You get the traffic citations, let them give you a ticket, whatever they're going to do. It's not a big deal. It's really not. Look, I'm not I'm I'm a I'm I don't want to go down a slippery slope where people where you have too much government, either. But, I also want people to drive, and if you break the law or if you're not driving appropriately, there should be some kind of consequence to you. Um I gave it to you. I gave you my identification. Oh, I can give you my driver's license. Well, at what point I already asked you for it. You asked me for my ID. >> No, I asked you for your driver's license. And I gave it to her as a passport. >> And I didn't ask you anything. I told you to get out and you didn't. >> I know, but you had didn't even identify yourself. And what was going on? Turn around. Okay. Can you You don't need to identify I mean, it's clear that they're the police. You'd already been engaged with this gal for a while. Get out of the car. I want please get your supervisor here. Do you want to speak to him? Yeah, he's not answering. So, listen. Can you give him my card? And on the back, yes, it has all the information. Those codes right there are for you guys. That's what they're for. She also said everything's going to be changing soon. And starting next year, they don't need licenses or ID. Yes. And I'm like, I'm an American state national. I am not a US citizen. You're saying that facetiously. Yes, United States of America, not US citizen. Not the incorporated, not incorporated under the Constitution. So, if it's not incorporated under the Constitution, then how are they violating If you don't recognize that, then how are they violating your constitutional rights? Did I come off as No. No, I don't want to. She said she can help me running it now. The phone She has a thin block. I'm just trying to get to it. Folks, have you looked at your credit card statement lately? You know you're working 40, 50 hours a week just to buy groceries and gas, things you used to be able to afford, and the credit card companies are charging you over 20% for that privilege. Think about that for a second. Over 20% is designed to keep you underwater. Well, American Financing is doing something the credit card companies hate. They're actually helping people. They have mortgage rates in the fives. So, they're showing homeowners how to take that hard-earned equity to wipe out that high-interest credit card debt. The average savings is $800 a month. Think about what you could do with that money. So, today talk to a salary-based mortgage consultant. No upfront fees, no obligation to see how much you can save. And if you start today, you could delay two mortgage payments. That's huge. So, give American Financing a call, America's home for loans. It's 888-995-2440. That's 888-995-2440. Or you can go to americanfinancing.net/lamb. Let's get back to our video. Ma'am, searching you to make sure you don't have any weapons, any personal contraband that is not allowed in the jail. >> I don't have any. You're taking me to jail? >> Yes. For what? >> Obstruction, resisting. I didn't do any of that, ma'am. I'll be right back. Try the charger. Yeah, it's right here. He's going to do his thing and you're going to sit in my car when he's ready to talk to you. You know, when you guys hit it, that's when she cooperated? After I punched it several times, and then it finally like broke through that she was willing to open the door, and then um I didn't I I didn't like blast Okay, good. >> pepper blast anything cuz she was like Oh, that's a pepper blasting tool to where it pops a hole and then you hit the pepper blaster and shh fills the car full of pepper spray. Interesting. >> And at that point, she opened the door. She wasn't getting out, but we were able to get her out without like using that, escalating that force. Yeah. Get all the way so he will come over and talk to you. Um I'm I'm allergic to air fresheners. Okay. Okay. So, can I keep my head out? I I'm really allergic to air fresheners. I'll put the window down. Okay, thank you. But it's really strong in here. I will have an asthma attack. I'll put the window down. All right, what's up? I did not resist arrest. She >> You did not? >> No, she didn't. So, why was the window broken? Because he just walked up, didn't announce who he was, didn't tell me what was going on. He just said, "Get out of your car." >> car. And I said, "Well, I'm I So, you you were dealing with a police officer already. And then And then he came up on my side and I didn't He never announced himself. >> Okay, he doesn't have to. There's a Right, he doesn't have to. They'd already been dealing with She already knew she was on traffic stop. This is the sergeant, by the way. Oh, you were already dealing with an officer, so another officer was there. Okay. Okay, you didn't No, sir. Well, then we should just release you. Yes, you should. Look at the She her brain was breaking over that when he said that. Right. I have not broken any laws. Here's >> broken any crimes. >> You thought that you were going to be able to do whatever you wanted to do, and that we weren't going to yank you out of your car. Actually, No, I didn't think that at all. >> got you out of the car pretty nice compared to maybe how I would have handled it. Because I probably would have put an axe pick through that thing, shoveled out the entire glass, and dragged you out that window. If you are told to exit the vehicle, you exit the vehicle. It's that simple. >> me. I didn't know who he was >> Okay. what he was doing. You First of all, it got to the point you weren't listening to the initial officer. Who who who by the way who by the way is a very nice officer. Okay. Okay. And then you were told several times to exit the vehicle. Yes or no? >> But I asked if I committed a crime. He didn't tell me I You don't No, no, no, no, stop. This is where you make them I like this sergeant. I like him. Were you ordered out out the vehicle, yes or no? Yes. It's a yes or no. Where are you ordered out of the vehicle? >> have violated my constitutional rights. >> have to talk to me. You're the one who asked me to talk. >> here, please. >> No, he's not coming here. I am the superior. I am the watch commander here. I am your superior. That's not how it works. You don't just keep to get to climb the chain, okay? You get a supervisor, in this case it's the sergeant, and then after that, when you get out of jail, you are more than welcome to go down to the station and file an official complaint with the lieutenant or whoever else you want to do. I am the watch commander. I want I am the watch commander. I am the watch commander. >> [laughter] >> Sir. I am the watch commander. How many times do I have to say it? What other language do you speak so I can help? >> Sir. I am an American state national. >> Yes no. No. And I gave her what she asked me for. She asked me for my ID, I gave it to her. She did not come back and ask for something else. And then she did. She came back and asked for my VIN, and I said you know You don't always see women that are the sovereign citizens. I was a little surprised to see it was a lady. >> traveling as a private citizen in my private vehicle, AND YOU GUYS DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE IN MY CAR. But we are. Because you're under arrest. And we're towing it. Okay, there's That's what he's saying is typically you'd need a search warrant to get in the car because the car belong, you know, that's that is not a private residence, but it's private vehicle unless you have probable cause, so you see something in plain sight, but in this particular case, there used to be search incident to arrest. Really now what it is is we're going to tow the vehicle. So, we do an inventory of the vehicle so that we know what's in there, so if there's any valuables or anything, we're not held liable if those disappear once it goes to the tow yard. So, they are going to do an inventory for the tow. Let's see if he said tells her that. Please tell me why I'm being arrested. >> very least resisting. I didn't resist. Unregistered motor vehicle in the state of Florida. >> have to have registration and a tag. I'm an American citizen. I am not a US citizen. >> an American citizen. I am an American state national. I am not a US citizen. Look. Whoever filled your head up with this stuff, I'm sorry. I plead the fifth. So, that's on you. Okay. You want to look at the thing? Yes. Yeah, I'll just take the wallet. I'll take the wallet and her phone. But, sir, I have not committed any crime. >> Ma'am, I we explained to you >> not a crime not to have a tag or a license. >> Yes, it is. It is not a crime. No, it's not. We deal with sovereign citizens all the time. You're not the first one. >> citizen. I'm an American state national. Well, you know what? Sovereign citizens started changing their names to American state nationals. So, you're an American state national {slash} sovereign citizen, whatever, because now you're changing your name so that way, you know, it's like, "Oh, it's not the same thing." It's the same thing. So, you're free to travel. Um you know, you're free to travel. You don't have to abide by traffic laws like everyone else does and all this yada yada yada. Look, it just it gets tiring. It gets tiring of this. Um It is about being honorable and not doing any harm. >> Sure. Um That's what it is about. You said you want We respect that. But, it's also you know, we're all trying to follow the same set of rules here and it's breaks the system. It's not fair to the I don't know. I don't like the term fair, but it's um you know, we're all trying to do it. What's wrong with her trying to do it? You want to plead the fifth? You got You got your chance to plead the fifth. You don't have to say anything incriminating, okay? I want to be let out of here. No, ma'am. That's too late now. We already broke the window. Once we break the window, nah, you're going. So Okay. If you broke the window and then cut her loose, I mean, she's going to that looks terrible. She's going to go to jail at this point. Her it's what her behavior if she committed crime by resisting without violence. Um driving without a license plate, I don't know. That could be a misdemeanor in in Florida. It's there's a lot of different levels. In Arizona, um some things involving plates are misdemeanors. Okay, thank you. That's the the new thing now, I guess. Um so the sovereign citizen said say they're American state citizens. I am not a sovereign citizen. Yeah, cuz she's a guy of American state citizen. I don't go under the Constitution. >> It's the same thing as a sovereign. She says she doesn't go under the Constitution, but then wants to claim that we're they're violating her constitutional rights. She said she doesn't go under the Constitution and then is asking for constitutional right. Thank you. So I just I haven't watched the video. She goes to show you where where She was charged with resisting without violence. >> [music] >> The very next week she'd get arrested again for failing to register a motor vehicle. She'd plead no contest to that charge and serve 7 days in jail. You got to admire her commitment to her her her her beliefs. She still didn't get a plate, got arrested again, and pled no contest, and served 7 days in jail. Traffic cameras captured her vehicle with a Florida license plate 2 months later, but the registration was still expired. >> [sighs] >> Oh, why do people have to make life so much harder on themselves? What do you think? How did they handle this? I love the sergeant. I thought they handled it well. A lot of times we see these vehicles as like one command after another. These folks took charge. Um starting with the first officer, she did a good job. The second guy was no-nonsense. Hey, boom, we're going to get her out. Then the sergeant come in, listen to her, realized she didn't have any valid arguments. And uh he shut her down like a good sergeant should on those situations. So, well done. Let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. And uh we'll catch you on the next video.
