Got another video for you from Mitten Crime. And this one is from civil infraction to 7 to 15 years in prison. Let's check it out. I haven't seen it. >> On October 10th, 2024, Ham Tramik Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for disregarding a solid red light and not displaying a registration plate. As officers conducted their traffic stop, they would have no way of knowing that the driver was about to set in motion a series of events that would ultimately devastate a family and a community. Please note, the initial contact with the driver was not captured on bodywn camera. I'm secure. Can you run the template? Charlie 74407. What's up? >> Uh, sharing a red light on Hullbook and Gallagher. Doesn't have a driver license. No registration, nothing at all. Does have a template. I was able to see it, so I'm just running it. And she has a >> This is what we call a good stop. When you have a template on there and obviously the there's going to be a registration issue. So now this is this I can look one look at this vehicle. This looks like a good stop. only school ID right now. >> One's out with it. One hour. >> So, I'm gonna run here real quick. >> And for all those people out there who say you only stop me because I'm black or white or Hispanic or Asian or whatever it is. Tell me right now, you look in that car, can you tell who's in that car? No, you can't tell who's in that car. And neither can we. >> So far, >> sounds good. >> I am getting no record. >> Yeah, cuz he's not running it right. >> Except for you, Mr. I got it. Thank you though. Thank you. >> According to the police report, the plate was successfully ran and came back to a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, not a Chevy Trailblazer. >> She doesn't have a date of birth up here. I'm going to have her steps. Two other people in the car. >> So, this can be displaying a fictitious plate. >> All right, man. So, I'm going to have you step out cuz you don't have a date of birth in there. So, what's your date of birth for? Yep. >> Because I don't know who you are at this moment. So, as soon as I have information, then you can come back. >> Okay. You'll have to step out for a second. Okay. >> I don't feel comfortable stepping on my vehicle. I will give you my my data, my closer, whatever you need. But I don't feel my vehicle. >> Hey, I'm talking to her right now. I can't talk to three people at the same time. All right. So, I'm talking to her right now. The driver. I don't need you guys to interfere with you. Thank you. I appreciate it. >> Okay. >> All right. I don't want to. >> All right, sounds good to me. But you have to put the window down. Thank you. >> If you want to just stand by here. >> Don't feel comfortable. >> That's up to her. >> I do not feel comfortable exiting my car. >> Yeah, but >> I'm not listen. >> If you don't come out of the car, you're going to be arrested. >> Yes, >> cuz she's asking you to step out of the car. So, >> I just hate her. Listen, you're arguing. >> All right, we're I'm Okay, listen to me. We're not going to argue here, okay? I just need to know who she is. So, for now, she's not >> No, she has to stare right in front of my vehicle right now. >> She'll have Ma'am, I'm going to tell you one more time. If not, >> she has she has >> I get it. We're not talking to either of you. Only heard. Everybody go back in your seats. [laughter] >> She has a problem. >> Yeah. Go ahead and lock the step out for me. Ma'am, >> call your supervisor. Thank you. >> Please. No, she has a problem. She can't >> call your supervisor. I want to speak to your >> Your window's going to be broken and you're going to be taken out of the car. >> You're going to go to jail if you don't come out of the vehicle. All right. You're going to get yourself in trouble. That's all that is. >> Listen, I went to school for criminal justice. I know the law. I know everything. I'm good. >> Okay. She went to school, so she knows the law. She's all good. Yeah. As if the the police officers don't know anything. >> The driver is responsible, not you. >> Well, we can talk to you, too. I don't have to be silent. >> Just so you know, you have to get out. Otherwise, we're going to break the window and we're going to take you out. I don't have to. I do not have to. >> Rude. Rude people. >> That's not how this works. She needs to come out of the car and then this all be over. >> Babe, my >> How old are you guys? >> They're being aggressive. Like, they're being aggressive. We don't have a physical copy. I told her >> she used to 911. >> Okay. >> All right. >> This is as as least aggressive as any of us can be. I promise you. Yo, you got to tell me who that is. >> I'm not here to discuss my tone with you. If the police No, you guys listen. If the police say get out of the car, you have to get out of the car. >> I have right now. >> US Supreme Court case law, Pennsylvania vers Mims, requires lawfully detained persons to comply with orders to step out of a vehicle. As the vehicle was observed disregarding a traffic signal and had numerous other administrative issues, the traffic stop was legal, therefore requiring drivers and passengers to comply with the order to step out of the vehicle. Additionally, Michigan police only need reasonable suspicion of a violation to stop a vehicle, not probable cause. >> What? >> Not licensed. >> Okay, then. Yeah. >> She's refusing to get herself. So, is she under arrest, what would you say? >> Yes. Okay. >> Not under arrest. >> How can I be under arrest? >> You're driving without a license. >> Call your supervisor. >> You're going to be removed from the car if you don't open the door. >> Call your supervisor. We will have to drag you out this car. >> Okay. >> I'll have a good time. >> There you go. Drag her out >> as well. Here, let me go get my gloves. >> Okay. If you don't step out of the car, we're going to break the window and we're going to remove you from the vehicle. You're going to be arrested for felony supervisor. Are you >> I understand that. I don't need to provide >> Are you a supervisor? >> No, I'm not required. Was pregnant in his car and I don't want to be I don't want to ask this. Okay. >> I'm trying to get home. She has >> What's up with this female cop? Wasn't it her traffic stop? >> I'd make Kirby. >> If I If I feel like I'm unsafe, I'm un I >> We're going to break your window. >> We're going to break the window if you don't step out. >> And then you're coming out anyway. >> Big boy showing up. >> You're under arrest. >> You know what? I'm gone. >> I'm gone. What is she under arrest? >> Get out of the car. >> What is she under arrest? >> No. For driving without a license. Step out of the car. >> Call your supervisor. >> Step out OF THE CAR. GRADUATED COP. Don't reach your own window. >> She's grabbing the cop now. That's a big problem. [screaming] >> There you go. >> Drag her out. >> Oh, she's trying to drive away, but it's in park. >> Oh, there she goes. They're taking off. >> Oh jeez. I didn't I mean I did see that coming. She in trouble now. >> Yeah, we got car fle on a PL >> now. Yep. 7 to 15 years assault on a law enforcement officer. Oh boy. Speeds are at 60 coming up on KF. Slowing for red lights. Still speeds of 60 through Canro. >> Man, she is blowing these red lights. She is >> We just threw something out the window at Harold. Continuing northbound. >> Another red light. >> Oh, please tell me they catch him. 60. >> I'm guessing they do because she's got all sorts of They have your ID and everything. I don't know what you're even running for. Even if they don't catch it. Oh. Oh. For Davidson. SIT ON YOUR EMS IS ON THE WAY. EMS is on the way. >> Come get my sister. CALL MARK. WHERE'S MARK? CAN SHE GET HER PHONE? >> NO. Right now it's a lot of I understand you guys are not listening. Down. PREGNANT. THEY ALWAYS KILL. NOBODY'S KILLING YOU. DON'T CAUSE US NO PROBLEMS. Nobody's going to do nothing. Stupid going to kill her. Going to kill her. No one. If you were to follow, none of this would happen. >> All she had to do is get out of the car. >> And calm the women who just caused the horrific scene. It's really painful. >> Well, we have a lot worse stuff than bleeding right now. Just when the officers um drive you away from here, let them know that. Okay. >> All right. >> Right now, like you saw those cars, >> there's worse things, right? Yeah. >> I'm sorry. You're like >> her right ankle's broken. >> Okay. Maybe you wear your seat belt. >> No, she was not. >> No. >> Yes, I was. >> See, she had it over her. She had it over. >> So, right now, we're waiting for the jaws to get here. Okay. What What hurts the worst side? >> My legs. >> Your legs? Okay. >> Can you get me out, please? I feel bent up. Okay. I need to stretch. >> Yep. >> Yeah. Cuz you crushed your car. >> 56. Do you want to transfer her to the station? >> Yeah. >> My car is here, though. Do you want to take my >> Okay. Um, >> I'm the 2011. I'm right up there. >> I don't know if want to use that car or I'll just transport her. Does that work with you? >> Okay, that's fine. >> Okay, that's fine. Can I get my phone from there? >> You have the right to tell me what I'm under arrest for. >> Stupid. >> The police officers involved were treated for minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as a precaution by their department. The crash killed two community members, 37year-old Dr. Su John Mia and his 73-year-old father, MD Norm Mia. The front passenger was identified as IKEA King. She was interviewed at the Ham Tramik Police Station by DPD detectives where she admitted to flittering an officer's hand. Charges were requested by Ham Tramik Police for her part in the incident, but denied by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office. Freaking prosecutors, man. office. We were unable to find relevant court records for her from this incident in Hand Tramik District, Detroit district or Wayne County Circ. Look, she clearly played a role in the behavior that led up to the death of two people. She's grabbing officer's hands probably in in in the defiance, the way she was fighting the cops from taking the driver out. So, as Dayton just told me, they said, "Drive my the driver says, "Drive my car home." home and the the passenger kept her in. So, I don't know how in the world the prosecutors didn't go through with charges on this girl >> at court. Since this incident, she's been cited for driving with no valid license. She is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. >> The rear passenger, Elicia, was not charged with any crime and was released to the custody of her parents. According to local media, the unborn child, did not make it. The driver identified as Aaliyah Glenn was charged with two counts of fleeing eluding police causing death, two counts of reckless driving causing death, two counts of operating while license suspended, revoked or denied causing death, and two counts of assaulting police causing injury. She pled no contest and the less serious DWLS and RNO causing injury charges were dismissed. On May 30th, 2025, she was sentenced to 7 to 15 years in state prison and ordered to pay $334 in fines. She will be eligible for release on May 29th, 2032, but could serve until May 29th, 2040. Definitely not enough. You know, look, I lost three of my family members to somebody wasn't running from the police, but they were driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Killed all three. I think you should serve at least 10 years in there. The reason why they say 7 to 15 years is because it depends on good behavior. Um that that and if she gets out of seven years, she still has >> [music] >> um a ton of probation or parole. So, um, man, those other families can't get their people back. And these kids, these girls showed no care whatsoever to the families of the to the people that that were killed and only cared about themselves. So, this could have been completely invo avoided. All she had to do is get out of the car, take her ticket, let her friend drive her car home, boom, that's it. Big no big deal. Uh, but apparently the friend didn't have a driver's license either because she later got cited for it. So, let me know what you think. I'm [clears throat] pretty frustrated with the prosecutors. They didn't file charges on the other gal. She played a role in this. And um let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. Catch you on the next
