The lack of accountability and entitlement is hereditary. Apparently, refusing to exit and swearing at the cops never worked. The lesson from this situation shows that denying and resisting the police after committing a violation only makes the situation more serious, leading to more charges. Whereas cooperating from the start will help resolve matters quickly and reduce legal troubles. This Karen was officially charged with several serious felonies, including aggravated violence against a peace officer, disorderly conduct, aggravated battery against a child under the age of 13, and resisting arrest reflecting the gravity of her actions during the event. With such a crazy situation, the comments that followed after the video was released are also noteworthy. She needs to be somewhere that will keep her safe from herself and others safe from her. Perfect illustration about why mental institutions are needed. Silence is golden. Duct tape is silver. The lesson from this situation shows that causing disturbances, assaulting others, and resisting the police not only endanger the community, but also lead to serious charges. In the state of Florida, anybody who owns a any kind of property, whether it be a parking lot, a hotel, a private residence, anything, they can ask you to leave anytime. I understand you paid for your room. Some somehow you have done something to upset them. They don't have to give me a reason. They don't have to give you a reason. They just say, "Hey, I want them to leave. I want them trespassed. >> Understand? Because usually when I get trespassed, they'll knock on my door. >> So, you get trespassed often? >> No, it's not that. Not not trespass, but like usually when I have like a noise complaint, they'll be like, "Hey, you're making a lot of noise. Can you calm it down?" Like, usually they give me a warning. She just came to my door and said, "You have never told us that we were being loud." She never said that. Hey, we have a noise complaint from your neighbors. You're being loud. You have to leave our premises. She just said, "You have to leave." She never specified as to why like we were >> Well, maybe she should have explained it to you a little better, but she doesn't legally she doesn't have to. And this could be the first incident. She she could literally wake up and say, "I don't like them anymore. I want to leave." And that's in Florida. That's fine. >> I didn't know that it was like this though. Like everybody's been really rude to us. Ask um I have a case number actually cuz we just got the police called on us when we tried to check into the first hotel. >> The concierge was not trying to let us check in. She was being really rude and just like I don't Everybody's been rude to us out here. I didn't think that you guys were on my side. So that's why I started googling stuff because I thought that you guys were >> and I don't I don't know any cop that gets paid to be on anybody's side. We had to like go right down the middle. Like I said, >> I guess this is a civil matter, >> but it was Well, it was civil until you decided you didn't want to leave after you were told. Then it became criminal. >> Okay. >> Um, so here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to go back up there, make sure you're free and get the rest of y'all's stuff, and I'm going to come back down here. >> Okay? >> Don't get this officer any issues, and then when I come back, we'll have another conversation. Okay? >> Okay? >> All right. You understand now though, how what works, how it's working. Okay? This Karen may be charged with failure to vacate the premises, obstructing law enforcement, and refusing to cooperate with police. Because she refused to leave and did not follow police orders, she was arrested and questioned shortly afterward. This is indeed a chaotic situation, isn't it? Let's examine what viewers have commented on after the video was circulated. They're like cartoon characters. I can't believe they're real. Bad attitudes, bad wigs, bad outfits, bad listeners, good arrest. Seeing a grown adult cry the same exact way my 2-year niece does is crazy. The lesson from this situation is that when given a lawful request by authorities, it's important to cooperate and comply to avoid escalating the situation or facing arrest. This Karen is already a mess. To follow more cases like this, please subscribe to Law Frame.
