Do me a favor, put your hands on your head, cuz now you got a gun today. Yeah, keep your hands on your head, both of them. Favor. Both hands on your head. All right, everybody, welcome back. We've got another video for you. This one comes from Uncovered. Uncovered? It is fake cop gets caught in full police gear. This looks interesting. Let's go. Fully kitted up like like you're a There's a good reason [snorts] for that. Like a you're a police officer. I'm not going to call the chief, sir. I'll call him. Okay. You got to also call the mayor. Yeah, please. Quick inspections on the on the motorcycle. Okay, first of all, imagine being so confident that this guy is a fake cop that you are like, "Okay, I'm going to pull him over. I'm going to put him in cuffs." You got to be real sure, but here's the thing. We all kind of know each other in these areas, and so you would know if somebody was a motor cop. You would know, especially uh if there's not a lot of people. This looks like it's in California. >> All right. Oh, he's got lights and sirens. >> During a routine patrol, an officer observed a motorcyclist activating emergency lights and violating traffic laws, unaware the stop would uncover an elderly man impersonating law enforcement. OH, BOY. WHAT'S THAT UH OH, HE'S A little hot. Do me a favor, put your hands on your head, cuz now you got a gun today. Yeah, keep your hands on your head. He said now you got a gun today, which means that they've probably had an interaction with him before. Both of them. Favor. Both hands on your head. Oh, traffic is what it says on his back. >> Both hands. There you go. Clean it. Oh, boy. We've had some impersonations before, but this one might take the cake. >> bike? All right, I got going this way. Here you go. All right. Okay. Okay. Hi. Okay, what does he got? Motor something traffic. He doesn't even have real patches on. Couple things why I stopped you. Okay. Number one, you didn't stop at line in Oakland. Yeah. Number two, you didn't stop at line in Devonshire. >> I actually got here before I burned out here. Okay. Well, see where we're at. So, That's taser. Is this a real taser? Yes. It's a real taser? >> Uh-huh. Oh, weird. Okay. And what is going on with your side arm, sir? This is a taser, too? Got it. Okay, cool. We're just going to clear you down here cuz You got what in there? Wallet. A wallet. Okay, cool. Any other goodies that I need to know about that are going to hurt me potentially? No, sir. No, where's Why would you go Why would you want to go out and pretend to be a motor officer? I never wanted to be a motor officer. No offense to all the motor officers. I never wanted to be a motor officer anyway, but let alone go pretend to be one. Fantastic. You have a guard card? And think you're going to get away with it. No, but you're carrying a taser and an asp baton. I don't I It's legal for me to carry a taser, but like I said, I do funeral processions. Hm. Okay. Okay, so a lot of these guys that do these I've seen this in the past where people who do these funeral processions, they start to get a little carried away with uh the role that they have. And they All right, come over here with me, okay? Here's what I want you to do, okay? Very gently, I would like you to have a seat for me, okay? And I'll help you down, all right? Nice and easy. Perfect. No, you're just detained right now, sir. All right, so Like I said, the traffic violations that I stopped you for, Uh-huh. Okay. The tasers, so the two tasers, the asp baton, right? And you're dressing up like a like a what? >> do funeral escorts. Okay. And then he came back for more. >> Got it. So, You guys have like this like this same guy that pulled over. Huh? This is the only the second time I've ever been pulled over. Second time you've been pulled over? Okay, cool. So, my other issue Well, we'll wait till my one of my partners gets here. None of them was uh MSPD's ever once ever pulled me over. Okay. Well, here we are today, sir. >> Sorry, I was saying we do a lot of stuff with the police, isn't it? Okay. I got it. >> You'll probably see me bringing in some food for you guys. Yeah? Well, I appreciate you cooperating with me, sir. Like I said, I see a I see a black Huh? You good? I had it open tight. Tight way home. Got you. All right. I see a black pistol and I see a taser, pepper spray, asp baton, right? I see you fully kitted up like like you're a There's a good reason for that. like a you're a police officer. There's a good reason. Okay. There's a Well, Raise my visor up. Sure. There we go. I just just lift it up. All right. That's fine. I mean, the guy's being cool, but that's all he can do. I mean, he's in trouble right now. Is there a good reason for that? Yeah. Whenever we do the funeral escorts and stuff like that, we try to look as nice as we can and give sheriff, police, whatever. Uh-huh. This main reason is that people will respect you more and they'll listen to us. Okay. I mean, we get out there, you know as close as we do, we get out there and we're stopping traffic Uh-huh. Sure. And uh Okay. Got you. >> And then you that you do have more respect, we're man in uniform. Sure. Sure. That's the reason my company has us wear Okay. I mean, look, he's not wrong. Like they are going to respect you more, but if they want that, then they can hire actual police officers to come and do a funeral escort. This particular case, these guys this is impersonating an officer. And he's even basically saying that. freelance, but I do ride for a couple different companies. You freelance? Okay. This is what the uniform they require, you know. Got it. I'm a reserve officer. Got it. Well, we're going to figure out a couple things here. I'm going to have you just hang tight and sit here with my partners while I'm going to do a quick inspection on the on the motorcycle, all right? So, the red and blues will be a problem. What does he have? Last I checked, these are uh Well, yeah, you're the taser guy, you tell me. It's a non-guard card, non-BSIS license. There's You're not supposed to have this one? >> Yeah. You can have a different one, but they're supposed to go through training for it. >> Right. Uh they they work. They're California's got all sorts of stupid rules. Where are they supposed to Um looking at X26 kind of. It's old school. >> It's the original. Yeah. Look how slow they You got a another motorcycle? I've got good motorcycles. Only this one here for work. Mhm. The one I drive for work. Mhm. >> Both of these are supposed to be illegal as far as Mhm. I know this is a This is a no-no. >> Yeah, that's a no-no. Yeah. Mhm. This is probably too. This is probably over the limit. Why is he driving a negative vehicle? May not Yeah. They're not legally certified in those. I'm more concerned about him impersonating. I mean, the taser program. I did go through taser program. You did? Yeah. For who? Through San Bernardino. San Bernardino Sheriffs? No, it's through uh guard security guard thing over there. Okay. Do you have the card with you saying you got a certification? >> No, they gave me a certification. It's framed in my home. They gave you a certificate? Yes. Do you have something that Oh, it's on you, too? No, I do not have it. Here's badge. This says traffic. Oops. Call the chief, he knows me. I'll verify this. Where did you get that badge from? Who did you go through? I ordered it. You just ordered it? All right, Mr. Goodnight. Well, there's a couple issues, okay? Namely the tasers, the baton, all that. So, you are going to be coming back to the station with us today, okay? We are going to tow the bike cuz we obviously can't leave it here. And we'll discuss more about this when we get back to the station, okay? >> Am I under arrest? Right now, yes, sir. You are under arrest. And my direct report? I just explained to you the tasers, the asp baton, all that stuff right now. >> get ahold of the chief, please? I'm not going to call the chief, sir. Then I'll call him. Okay. And I'll call the mayor. Yeah, please. That's fine, sir. Well, the law is what the law is, so I don't think the chief or the mayor are going to help you out of this situation. There's I don't I don't work in the I don't work in the world of favoritism and personal favors and and back door deals, sir, so I'm being honest, this all that is perfectly legal. Tasers and tasers and and this are certainly not legal. And neither is that in companion with your drug registration to the county. None of that adds up to being perfectly legal, sir. Doesn't change the registration fact. >> I'm just explaining to you why why you are under arrest at this point, okay? Okay. Uh, the 180. Yes, sir. Can I make a phone call and have someone pick the No, sir. We're not going to sit out here and do that, okay? Uh It's going to It's It's not I'm not impounding the motorcycle. It's just going to get stored off the roadway, okay? Okay. Can you mind picking me up and putting me back in your car, please? Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Come on, bud. We got you. I am a heart transplant patient. Fully understand, sir. You already put your feet out in front of you. There you go, stand up. >> I mean, he seems like a nice guy, but look at this. The average person is going to think that he is a uh, an officer, well, a deputy because of the tan and green. Do you have a chain cuff? No, we do not, sir. It's not It's going to be a short ride to the uh, our station, okay? I know where it is. Thank you. If I'm not mistaken, is man an infraction? What's an infraction? What am I being arrested for? Um, my partner will uh, explain everything to you. I believe uh, when it comes to weapons that you cannot have. Um, it may be a misdemeanor, it may be a felony, okay? If you're driving by that, you'd be you'd be thinking, what in the sam hell is going on there? They're arresting that cop. Watch your head. Watch your head. Let's go. All right, let's slip one out. Keep your statement down. Yeah. Just one foot at a time. There you go. Slow. Oh, he's an elderly guy. All right. All right, you're going to stop right here. Have you been uh searched for safety before, sir? I don't think there'll be really any consequences. Be surprised if they do much to him. Do you have any of these items on you? No. Okay. Just cuz age and California I do things and all types of horses. All right, go ahead and have a seat right here, sir. Uh I will. I just need you to have a seat cuz I got to remove your shoes, okay? They really hurt. >> All right. Go ahead and lift your left left leg one more time. Got to get your socks. Can't leave my socks on? No, sir. I'm just I got to get out of this. Why? Why? Yeah. Uh just uh our protocol our rules that we have. I just wanted to know if there was something to him, you know. Yeah. All right, you're going to stand in this box for me. Go ahead and spread out your feet and you're going to face that wall, okay? All I'm trying to do is make an honest living off of it. Yeah, what do you do for work? Escorts. Escorts? Yeah. That's how I get a lot of my $1,200 a month from social security. Okay. You can't live off of $1,200 a month. You got to do something. No. Yeah, it does suck. $1,200 a month in social security and then, you know, he's trying to make an extra buck doing the the escorts. But at the same time, you know, you you run that fine line of he wasn't doing an escort. I don't know that he had done an escort today. So, is he just running around dressed like this? All right, face the wall for me. Face the wall. I thought you wanted to open the door. No. Go ahead. All right. So, um the investigating officer is going to come and talk to you, okay? You good use a Huh? Any idea how long? Uh probably like 10 minutes. Okay. So, um your property is going be put in a bag. Uh if you can make a phone call, you know what Marshall Goodnight was booked into custody on multiple charges, including possession of prohibited weapons, possession of a baton and tear gas weapon as a felon, and impersonating a peace officer. Authorities confirmed he is legally barred from possessing firearms due to his prior felony conviction. The investigation You got to know that. Like, you got to know if you're a felon, you can't have these things. And yet he still did. So, he I mean, I you want You kind of feel bad for the guy. He's just another guy. But at the same time, here he is. He knows that he's not supposed to be doing this. He's got a He's a felon. Investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine whether there may be additional victims or related incidents connected to his actions. Well, there you go. I mean, I was curious what to see when I saw this that he was dressed as a as a cop. I mean, at first glance, you would think that he's dressed as a like a sheriff's deputy, a motor deputy. But he had a kid on, everything. And then it turns out he's a felon and he can't even have these weapons with him. So, yeah, good job. Like, great job by the officers to to get this done. And I hope the guy's social security or find some other source of income. There's probably other jobs out there that he can do. So, let me know what you think. Did they get it right? Did he deserve to get arrested on this? Let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. I'll catch you on the next video.
