I'm going to follow him because he probably has a warrant. You don't have an idea on you at all? Okay. What were you doing here? Okay. All right, everybody. Welcome back. We got another video for you. This one comes from Code Blue Cam and it's here's why you don't punch a cop. I don't know why you would think that would be okay anyway, but I haven't seen it. Let's go. 309 she's running. Ooh, foot pursuit. >> Lieutenant refused to pay for her room at a motel. Officers were called to remove her. It was supposed to be a simple job, but they had no idea that inside the room was a wanted fugitive who would stop at nothing to escape. >> She's not on the most wanted list. This looks good. >> Said he's not going back to Disney. >> Just before 6:00 p.m. on the 8th of August, 2025, two officers were dispatched to a motel in Onalaska, Wisconsin. A 35-year-old woman had refused to pay for her room and the owners wanted her removed immediately, but >> Like if you're harboring a fugitive, and this always boggled my mind like when people were transporting drugs or doing criminal activity that they wouldn't make sure that their vehicle was in order or they they weren't law-abiding. And in this particular case, you're all in this room and yet you don't pay for it. And ultimately that's going to involve the cops and probably cause the person that's hiding out to be found. Let's watch what happens. >> immediately, but she wasn't about to make it easy for them. >> All right, it's Onalaska police. Can you come talk to me? Looked like he locked the door. Come to the door. I'm not going anywhere. >> Huh? >> Talk to these guys. >> I haven't talked to him cuz the door was partially open. I knocked on the door. >> Who is it? >> I'm a West Covina Police. She shut it that little bit so There is a back door, is there? Yeah. >> We aren't going anywhere. >> It's at this point the officer is made aware that the woman has a warrant out for her arrest. Just a few months >> Uh-oh. >> with theft, violating her probation. She actually had multiple cases open against her for theft and bail jumping. So, officers knew it was vital they bring her down before she gets another chance [music] to disappear. But, it might already be too late for that. >> Why did she leave? She was right there. >> Uh-oh, what? Hold on. >> Running. STOP. RUNNING TOWARDS FINE. I'm a West Covina. Stop. >> Haha. >> Get down. >> I don't have anything. >> Get down. 309, we got her. >> We got her. >> Please. >> She had nowhere to go. Unless she would have jumped the fence. >> Stop. >> Please stop for a second. >> No. >> No. >> You lost that? >> We're 95. >> I need to say something real quick. >> What do you need to say? >> I need to get a hold of someone. I need my phone to get a hold of someone, please. >> No. Okay, well, we'll figure that out here in a minute. >> I need to do it now. My son. >> No. >> My 5-year-old son, dude. >> Is he in the motel room? >> He is. >> Okay, we'll get that squared away. Why did you >> So, that's very good information because now you have the right to go into that room because there could potentially be a child in danger. Her ma The mom is arrested. Even if there's other adults in there, you can't just leave them with other adults if they're not family. So, this gives them good a good probable cause to go into that room. >> You run from him. >> Because I can't leave my son right now. >> You just left him. You just took off. >> I was going to finally leave you guys. >> You with your >> I can't leave my son right now. >> But you just left him. >> I was trying to get away from you guys. >> Okay. Whatever. >> motel room and now you want to go back and say you're trying not to leave him. >> He's got someone in there with him. >> Who? >> A friend of mine. >> What's his name? >> Davion. >> She seemed panicked and twitchy and she's not making much sense. >> She's a motor mouth. >> officers will unpack later when they search her motel room. For now, they're more concerned with the name she just mentioned, Davion, especially given what she's about to say. >> That's the friend or that's your son? >> That's my friend. >> Okay. What's your son's name? Okay to be with? >> No. I have to get a hold of someone. That's what I said. I have to get I need my phone. >> How fast is she talking? Honestly, we I don't think this is sped up. This is like her normal speed well, her speed that she's talking at right now. Um probably the meth speed. >> We'll figure that out here in a minute. Who's the friend? >> This is Davion, I said. >> Why is he staying with you? >> He's not staying with me. He just stopped by. >> Why? >> Why won't you answer the door? >> I don't know why. Can I please have my phone so I can make a phone call? >> No. >> No. Please. >> We'll figure it out. >> Let me tell you why we don't give you the phone because you could call somebody to come, which presents another problem for us. You can make all the calls you need to make, especially after you just ran from us. You can make all the calls you need to make from jail, once they give you an opportunity to call. >> You're going to be overly nice when you just ran from us. >> I only ran from you because I This is not a good time for me to leave with my son. >> I'm a parent. No time's a good time to leave your son. I can tell your running is not the best option. >> find his dad right now. >> Okay. >> But can you can you blast any last time I can go and find his dad? Um Last Can I please go see my son for a second? I don't know where Robert is. >> No. >> Can I have you get in the car? >> Don't. Get in In car. >> Please let me see him. He's not going to understand. Please. >> You want >> I got to believe this is not about her son. It's partly about her son. She wants to tip off the person that's in the room, is what she wants to do. Or she wants to get the drugs out of there. Do something. I doubt that it's fully about her son. >> You want to see him in handcuffs? >> Yes, please. Please let me see him. Please. Let me see him. >> Get over here. >> Please let me see him. Please let me see >> Yeah, go sit down. >> Can you please let me see him? Please let me see him. >> Do you have anything on you that's going to poke, prick, or stab me, or hurt me? >> I've never >> Do you have anything on you that's going to poke, prick, or stab me? >> No. No. No. No. But I don't want to I don't want to even make a phone call. >> Talk to me right now. I'm a parent. I can relate to you. I have a 5-year-old. So, what do you need? >> I need to I need I'd like to help my son. Like really I don't know if he's going to be okay. Dad's been missing. Okay. >> It's like an auctioneer. Where is the dad taking the kid? >> He's he's he's here. He's here with us all the time. He's saying >> Oh, we just made contact with him. >> Where is he? Where is he? >> He just walked >> He's in jail. >> So, he's fine. He's safe. >> Well, he he needs to come here. So, how do we contact how do we how do we find him? Find him. >> You want to call him? His number is still on my computer. So. >> number is I need to be called. Yeah. >> Okay. So, when we go and knock on that door, is Davian going to answer the door? >> I don't know. Honestly, I don't know. >> Cuz when I knocked, whoever was in there dead bolted that door. >> Yeah, I don't know. I just know my son is probably in there totally scared. >> Okay. >> Can we please get a hold of Davian? >> Yes. Yeah. We will get your son. I will bring him out here, and you can see him, okay? Are you sure that is what you want, given that you're handcuffed? And we can't take the handcuffs off. >> Yes, I know. >> Okay. Are you good here with her? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Said his name was Davian? >> Davian. >> Davian? Davian, come to the door. Is the room registered in your name? >> Yes. >> Do you have a key? >> No. It's locked. >> Okay. Was Davian was he registered on the room at all as well? >> the door right now. >> Where is her son? Okay, she wants to see her son. >> Why do they keep walking away from the door? I would keep somebody there the whole time. Barge in right now. >> So, you've got a knife in your pocket, just leave your hands where we can see them. >> good. I'm not >> Well, given the situation, I just want to make it clear. >> What happens then? >> Well, she took off running. >> Come on. Mom wants to see you. >> Hey, buddy. Your mom wants to come see you, okay? >> Come on. Come see me. I can't, please hug him. Please put him in my hands in the front. I promise I will >> I'm not >> I promise I won't let go. >> I'm not >> to be comforted, please. >> I cannot uncuff you. >> Please, can you put his hands in the front so I can so I can hug him Can you put his hands in the front? Can you put the cuffs in the front? Just so he can hug me back. >> Have a seat. You wanted to sit >> Come here. Come on. Can you sit on my lap? Come on. Come on. >> And this is why kids grow up you know, maybe not trusting the police or not liking us is because his mom was stupid and ran from the cops and had other warrants and continues to hang around guys like this um who also have warrants and who are wanted. Uh and then he grows up thinking that the police are the bad guys when in reality it was his mom who couldn't abide by the law. >> Oh. If I had if I had my hands in the front, I could at least just like like rub his back. Please. >> Nope. I'm sorry, I cannot do that. I've already taken off. This is >> Give him back. He doesn't have no >> Let's get this guy's ID. >> At this point, things seem to be going well. Her son is safe and Davion [music] has finally shown himself. So, the officers try to have a chat with him to explain the situation and that's [music] when things start to unravel once more. >> The room? Are you registered to this room? >> No. >> Okay. So, they want her out, which means you're not welcome back in that room. >> Okay. >> So, that's why we're out with you right now. >> Okay, well, I need to get my bag. >> Okay, well, we got to go in with you then. >> Okay, fine. >> Is there anyone else in there? Are there any knives, guns, anything else that we need to be concerned about? >> sure it probably has a Yeah, it does. It has a no smoking thing right there on the door. No smoking. That means no cigarettes inside the room. >> No. Okay. >> Oh, this is my bed, dude. >> Okay. >> Open the door, Brett. >> Who else is inside there? >> Did she pay for the room at all? >> know. Some Some of these people are from like I don't know. I don't know who they are. I don't know like I guess I don't know her. >> Okay. Who else is in the room? >> No one but ourselves. >> Who else is in the room? >> Um yeah, we've got a friend here. Uh his name is um >> Sounds like his first name is Brett. What's his last name? >> Uh I just met I just met him right right right now. >> In. Push in. Are you on the Are you on this room? >> No, I'm just here visiting. >> Okay. >> This is when the officer noticed something strange. In the middle of August in Wisconsin and it's [music] 90°. >> No hands in pockets, no jackets. Yeah, middle of a middle of the summer, got a jacket on. The skateboard. Skateboards are very dangerous. Um they can be a big-time weapon. I would make him drop that skateboard right now. >> Breathe out. Yet 31-year-old Brett, this strange man that nobody mentioned until just now, is wearing a hoodie and black bandana covering his face. The report shows that Officer Trudeau immediately thought this was sus and decides to ask him a couple questions. >> Do you have a ID with you just real quick? >> No. >> You don't have one? >> No, I'm not Brett. >> Brett? >> No. >> Brett? >> No. >> Okay. I'm going to follow him cuz he probably has a warrant. >> Grab him. >> You don't have an ID on you at all? >> No. >> Okay. What were you doing here? >> Folks, do you know some of those companies out there that produce soap and moisturizers and all that other stuff? And they're great, but then they get bought up by these mega corporations. They get hijacked and they lose their identity. That's why I love the Van Man Company. Van Man has been doing this for years. They've been using tallow, beef tallow for years. Grass-fed tallow as a moisturizer. Honestly, one of the best products that I love from them is this tallow and honey balm. It's the bomb, pun intended. It is awesome. Now, the tallow, you're the fatty acids in the tallow, your skin recognize that as a natural moisturizer. Your skin feels better and because there's no garbage in it, filler garbage, this little thing, this goes a long way. I've had this for a while, use it all the time and it is great. It's going to replace a lot of the lotion you have, the night cream, the wrinkle cream, all that other stuff. You're going to be able to replace it with something like the tallow and honey balm. Also, if you like [clears throat] their miracle tooth powder, they've got lip balms, they've got pearl eye cream, they got a whole slew of things that you can choose from. So, make sure you go to vanman.shop/lamb and put in the code word lamb and you're going to get 15% off your first order. Now, let's get back to our video. >> Okay. >> Officer Whitcraft asked dispatch to look up Brett in the system. Turns out he has charges against him dating back to 2022 for domestic abuse, hit-and-run, possession of and much more. >> turd >> had been posted asking the public to help locate him. And he even had three extraditable warrants out for his arrest in Minnesota for assault, threats of death, and domestic abuse. >> Okay, this guy's a turd right here. >> Who's that? >> Brett >> That's him. >> Okay, he's wearing a black bandana on. No face mask. >> 309, he's on a longboard headed up towards the high school. >> Get him. >> [clears throat] >> Put it in low gear. Happens all the time. You get in, put that gear shift down. Often times it goes down into low and you can hear it as soon as you start to drive, the engine starts revving. >> STOP! >> Get him. >> Careful. >> It'd be nice if we had a dog right now. >> PULL OVER NOW. >> NO! >> PULL OVER. GET HIM. >> HE'S SAYING that he said he's not going to >> Oh. Yes. >> You probably got me. WHY ARE YOU SAYING THAT? PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> OH, well done, brother. >> Put your hands BEHIND YOUR BACK. NOW I WILL [ __ ] taze you. >> He will run. >> What did I do? This is a violation of my rights. >> 209 >> Well, if you didn't do anything, why is you running? Why is he running? >> We got him stopped off of Oak Forest Drive. >> Is he pissed? >> Right by the trailhead. >> Okay, sorry to stop it. I just want to say well done by the driver of this guy. He gets there, boom, jumps out, foot pursuit, no problem catching up. Kind of This guy was kind of already tired carrying a backpack and a and a skateboard, but um man, got right after him, boom, took him right to the ground. None of this taser out and making this situation get out of control. He just took it, boom, took him to the ground. Now he's got control of him. Well done. >> You can't sit there and try and hurt someone that's not You didn't do anything. You know who I am? You need to stop. Why do you need to stop? >> No. >> Why? >> Cuz you just tried to [ __ ] punch me in the face. >> I didn't. >> Yeah, you did. I [ __ ] saw you. >> It's hard to make out from the body cam, the dash cam footage shows clear as day that as Officer Whitcraft goes to tackle him, Brett takes a huge swing and tries to punch him in the face. >> Yeah, he did. >> He missed, and after a short struggle on the ground, the officers are able to detain him. >> Hey man, you know what? I haven't done anything wrong. >> [ __ ] Shut up. Put your hands behind your back. Put your hands BEHIND YOUR BACK. NOW. Pat him. Check in this one. >> Why are you guys doing this to me? >> Because you ran from us and you tried to assault an officer. >> I didn't run. I was going out of the way and said stop following me, which you're not supposed to be doing. >> Yeah, and I told you to stop multiple times. >> Yeah, when you were chasing me for no reason. >> I'm pretty sure you know >> Look, the contact initially was not consensual contact. It consensual I mean uh non-consensual contact where you you just run into him on the street, right? And if he doesn't want to give you his ID and he hasn't committed a crime and there's no reasonable suspicion to believe he's committed a crime, then you really don't have much you can do. But this one was. You had a warrant, you had the the the hotel saying they hadn't paid the bill, and till you figure out who it was that didn't pay the bill, everybody should have been ID'd and not free to leave until they collected for the hotel or the motel. So in this particular case, he should have never have left that room anyway. They should have He should have produced an ID, and all three of them should have been on the hook for the motel room. That's the reasonable suspicion that you would could use to collect his ID. So this guy was not It's not not like a normal thing where he could tell the cop stop following him, right? I don't want to give you my name. He was already involved in something, a crime. >> What the [ __ ] was the point of [ __ ] trying to punch me? >> Three away, it'll be 95. >> No No No No, shut up. I don't want to hear you anymore. >> I can't just do something I'm going rid of this? >> Care, are you good? >> What's in the bag? Do you have a firearm on you? >> Can I get you something to get rid of this or what? >> Get rid of what? What do you mean this? >> Like I mean this whole thing. This do not go. >> All right, let's get him up. Do you have anything on you, weapons? >> Why Why did you guys pull me back to the room and mess with me? >> Because you weren't supposed to be there. >> I was just in a guest >> Going to have to cut his backpack off. They want you gone. >> They said I was a guest of this person in the room. >> Hold him up. >> 1 2 3 >> What's that? A wallet? >> What? Like I was leaving the hotel already, so why did you follow me? >> Because we're not idiots. >> You are. >> What's my name? >> Brent >> All right, yeah, you guys are idiots. All right. >> Okay. >> My longboard's right there. You guys know I'm going to sue the [ __ ] out of all you guys for this, right? >> [laughter] >> I'm going to sue all of you for this. >> [laughter and sighs] >> Good luck. >> I told them to tell you not to say my name, don't follow me, and then still follow them and chase them down. I'll get out of this and you know it. I didn't lie about my name. I didn't tell you my name. >> It's called reasonable suspicion. >> No, it's not. And I've seen a bunch of lawsuits won over it. I'll take all of you guys. Forget my mom can change laws, right? Forget my mom can literally write the senator. >> Cuz they told us your name was Brent. >> Who said that? >> Okay. The female I was with, yeah. >> Brent Hart >> It's a lie. >> It's a lie. >> Thanks for coming out. You can turn around on me and try to get me in this place. I'm like you can't punch me if I get right in his face. >> He's exactly right. What this officer did was excellent because it is you when you go to punch somebody as long as you can close the distance, even if they try to punch you, it's not going to land very good. And the officer did a really good job. He came in, came in, blocked that over horrible punch, came from left field, and was able to block it and took take straight to the ground. And so, very well done. Good tactics, and he's right. Close the distance, get in tight, and uh use some jiu-jitsu, some takedowns, um and then and hold him there. >> So, now what? How long am I in here for? >> Catch your breath. Let me figure [ __ ] out. >> I don't know. That's up to the court. >> I don't like this kid. >> Yeah. You okay? >> Yeah. >> Officers then proceeded to search his bag and again found nothing illegal. Back at the motel though, a search revealed things weren't quite so simple. >> Needles. >> Oh god. >> Needles. So, heroin most likely. Like they actually had something in them. >> sharps That was in my drawer by the nightstand, so. >> Whose blue bag in the nightstand was that? >> What? >> Blue bag in the nightstand. >> I don't know. You'd have to tell me. I don't even have a blue bag. Whose blue bag? >> It was like a little blue bag backpack with a couple items inside of it. >> I don't know. I didn't even make anything in the drawers or The only thing I had was the only thing that should have been in the drawer was I had like a couple of hair ties and I think my my hairbrush and >> So, >> I don't know how this mom has a kid still. This poor kid living with a mom, warrants, living in motels, random men coming in there. This poor kid, who knows what they're doing? I don't know. And the kid I think the guy already got busted for something else dealing with minors. Um and then drugs in the room. Shame on this mom. Shame on her. >> The needles with the liquid in >> No. No, but that's the >> Do you have any prior prior use history? >> No, I don't. >> So, if I go and look previous convictions, nothing related. >> Never used >> No, I never I I don't believe so. >> Hm? And so, not drugs, I don't see any evidence. >> If he has it, he doesn't have it. I don't think you can charge it cuz there were three people in there. And two of them are officers. You want me to call a video? >> Yeah, we can. I don't even know what it is, so >> Okay. So, what he was asking is like, who we going to you know, what What he said was, he didn't see any track marks on the girl. And it was in the in the nightstand, all three of them had to access to the nightstand. You're not going to be able to pin this. Very difficult unless one of them admits to that was theirs. It is very difficult to prove who it was that had the drugs. Nobody was in the room when they found them, which means that nobody had close proximity to the drugs. So, you can't even tell whether those drugs were in the drawer before they even rented the room. That's one thing you This is the type of argument the defense will make. So, in the end they can call the the district attorney, the DA, or the county attorney, whatever they call them out there. The chances of them being able to uh actually do anything with these drugs, charge anybody with it. So, you would just impound it for destruction. You would note it down in the report that drugs were found in the room, but that you could not put it to any one person, so you couldn't charge anyone for the drugs. >> I don't have any test strips. 1 2 2 3 Um You been here before? We get it. >> Just a little cheat code, if you're ever a cop and you go to the jail, put your keys in with your gun, so you don't forget your gun when you leave. >> In the lobby, take a seat to your left. >> What you see on the right is a body scanner. Somebody will stand there and then it will scan the body to see if they've got anything hidden in their prison pocket. Um for a guy, prison pocket. For women, prison pockets. So, this is what we we scan them to see if they're concealing anything, any contraband coming into the facility. >> Tess later revealed that the needles contained but it was never proven who they belonged to. Brett was booked under his one Wisconsin warrant and three Minnesotan warrants, [music] as well as felony attempted battery threat to an officer, misdemeanor and resisting obstructing an officer. He was released a few days later on a $2,500 signature bond. Eventually, Brett was found guilty due to a no contest plea to the resisting charge. The felony charge was dismissed but read [music] in. Ultimately, Brett was sentenced to 172 days in the county jail. While the 35-year-old woman was charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass to a dwelling and [music] resisting obstructing an officer. She was later released on a $500 signature bond [music] and her case currently remains open. It should also be noted that while out on bail in October of 2025, she was charged again with retail theft and bail jumping. This case also remains open with a hearing scheduled for June of 2026. >> Real piece of works. Real pieces of work there. Um yeah, look, I mean the guy really got nothing. 172 days in jail. Um all the What he did was plead no contest. I think if if you haven't heard me before, when you plead no contest, you're basically saying you're not saying you're guilty, but you'd also acknowledge that there might be enough evidence to find you guilty, so you plead no contest. And oftentimes you do that in lieu of of them, you know, you might drop a couple of the other charges, which they did in this case, and he ended up getting 172 days in jail. But, he got released just a couple days later once he posted $2,500 bond. She only got $500 bond for what she was doing. And um let's hope that she gets some help. Continuing theft, bail jumping, and putting her child in in the room with strange men uh in a motel room. And she ran off and left him there, by the way. So. Let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe, and uh I'll catch you on the next video.
