And then I I pulled my gun and a little boy about this tall. He was 16. He's about my height. You're right. I pulled my gun. You got your finger on the trigger. You got your finger on the trigger. You can't do that. You can't do that. Get it here. All right, everybody. Welcome back to another Friday with Janelle. We've got uh What have we got today for fries? >> Well, thanks for having me back. Um I don't We're doing something interesting today. There's a restaurant down the street called Two Hands Corn Dogs. You have to eat it with two hands. That's what they say. They're loaded corn dogs. They've got all sorts of stuff inside. But, we got the fries from Two Hands. So, we have I had to look at it to see what it is. We have some dirty fries. Ooh, sounds delicious. >> actually >> They they are. They are covered in spicy sauce. Okay. What else we got? Dirty fries >> uh kimchi seasoned fries. Ooh, okay. >> So, we're going to try those. I don't know. >> to go along with it, we got Police Insider and it is fake cop pulls gun on teens, gets arrested by real cops. Let's go. >> And I I pulled my gun and a little boy You got your finger on the trigger. You got your finger on the trigger. You can't do that. You can't do that. Get it here. I don't know, but he has no ID on him. He's telling dispatch he's a US Marshal. Let's take a quick breath. It started as a routine call. >> Ooh, those are good. Just causing a disturbance. But, by the time officers pieced together the details, what seemed like a simple neighborhood issue had turned into something far bigger and troubling. I got to pee really bad. Your shorts are going to You see yank them up for you real quick. Thanks. Good? Looks good. Stop. You can't do that. At approximately 8:03 p.m. on Thursday, August 8th, 2024, 61-year-old Frank called the Kenosha County emergency line to report a disturbance involving teenagers. Kenosha 911, what's your address and emergency? I need you at the Southport Marina, please. The police officer at Southport, Kenosha Marina, by the pool, cuz I'm holding two little boys that threatened my wife earlier. Okay. Okay. So, anybody out there, I know we hear this citizen's arrest all the time. If you hold two little boys like you said, this sounds terrible, first of all. >> Right. And that threatened his wife, they're not I mean, honestly, just get their information, follow them home, whatever. But, when you hold them, that becomes kidnapping. >> Kidnapping. [clears throat] Yeah. And you're at the Southport Marina? Yes. There's two of them standing here and I've got I've got them cuz my wife my wife saw them and told called me and told me. And so, they're sitting right here. They're trying to leave. Okay. What is the phone number you're calling from in case we get disconnected? You're not going to go anywhere. You just sit here and you wait till the police show up. All right. How old are they? I don't know how old they are. No, it's not fake. I'm a US Marshal. >> Oh, no. Rut-roh. He better hope that he's a US Marshal. I told them to wait there till the police come. They're trying my fingers on the trigger. Okay. Tell me how the hell is the police Do you have a Did you just What time Did you just say something about a trigger? My finger's on the trigger of a 9 mm. Okay. And how old are these kids? I don't know, but they're 16 and maybe 12 or 13. And my wife is looking right at them. So, don't be taking out your gun, either. Especially if these are children. Is your gun Is your gun holstered? It's holstered, but they're trying to walk past me and I'm not going to tolerate this. My gun is Here's my gun right now. Can you get off my my bike, sir? Can you please get off my property? Oh, boy. Those kids, even though I'm saying those things, they sound young. And they're telling him to get off his property. If he's on their property, this is even worse. Walk on your property? I'm not on your property. My My foot IS NOT ON YOUR PROPERTY. I'M NOT GOING to come up here. I'm not going Earlier that evening, around 6:38 p.m., officers from the Kenosha Police Department had responded to the area after Frank's wife reported that the same teenagers had threatened her. However, when the officers were unable to locate them, they left. Okay. What are you doing? Are you drunk? What are you doing? I'm not doing nothing. All right. What you want? You can walk past me. You're not touching me. I'm not touching your body. Ma'am? Oh, boy. I have to be decent about it. I know you are and I'm trying to talk to you as well. I'm going to be really pissed. Okay. What race is one of the males? What? Excuse me. Excuse me. I'm ready to You son of a [ __ ] Now, as officers return to the area, Frank has much more to share about the incident. What's going on, man? My wife earlier at the pool with my grandson. He's only 10. My wife's just stable. It was swimming in their minor business by himself. I was in West by like I said, I was on my way back. Can you have them out there and just Try not open the gate. The lock works, it doesn't work. >> Yeah, we're all good. And she walked up and says, "Can I help you guys?" She's like, "What do you want?" "Oh, we want to come swimming." "No, this pool is private to marine use only. You racist So, she calls me. I'm darting down here. And then I was in the pool talking to one of the ladies that work here. And then the boys came in. So, I called my wife. I told my wife to go upstairs at the pool and stay out of sight till I got here. The boys walked in. Okay. That's not a threat. No. It's just kids being rude. Yeah. And his grandson's 10. I mean, these kids don't sound that old. One said he had to go get something out of the And I said I called my wife. She goes, "That's them." I hung up my phone. I stood at the door. I said, "You're the one that called my wife a racist Not a crime. I said Cuz my wife just told me this. So, I stood there in the doorway. I was standing there trying to block. Get off my property. Get off my alley. And finally, it's like, "What do I do?" Let him go. They fully pushed me and forced their way through. So, they're they're calling they're calling her names and they're >> And then they went around the pool around the marina area there. There's a dumpster in the back far back side. They tried to go through over that. Okay. They're pushing their way and I'm like, "What do I do?" So, I was chasing them down the walkway. And that's when two of you guys showed up at those and I'm like I'm like I'm like this down the walkway. And they just toodle off By his own admission on the 911 call, he was basically saying he's holding these two kids against their will. And he identified himself as a US Marshal and he had a gun. Not good. I called you guys cuz I know you couldn't get through cuz of the damn gates are down. I'm sorry. These are a bit I am aware. >> This This guy is very dramatic. Let's take a quick breath. >> Imagine letting two young children get you so worked up that you lost your voice your your your breath and everything. Why these kids I got to get in. As Frank talks more, officers quickly notice a serious issue with his story. First time I've dragged this away. I've never Yeah. I'm too old for this. Were they like actively trying to get into the pool area or something? >> in. They just opened They yanked the door and walked right in. And the one tall kid, he said he said, "I'm 16. You can't do nothing to me." I said, "Oh, yeah, I can. If you want to I was so I was so getting so pissed. And then I I pulled my gun and a little boy about this tall. He was 16. He's about my height. You're right. I pulled my You got your finger on the trigger. You got your finger on the trigger. You can't do that. You can't do that. Get it here. So, I put it back in the holster and it wouldn't have done any good anyway cuz the clip was not in. So, anyway, Well, first of all, you know he's not in law enforcement cuz he called it a clip. It's a magazine. Oh. He's a hot mess. He's a hot mess. >> Still has it. I would probably disarm him at this point right now. How about we see for handoff there, right? There you go. I'm sorry. And then I was fine. Put it back in and I stood there like this trying to, you know, and he started pushing his way. Get off my property. Get off my property. He was telling you to get off his property? >> could hear that over the 911 call. late. And he's telling me, "Get off my property." I wasn't on it. He was on me pushing the bike through me. These kids threaten They threatened her. What did What did they say? Well, when she walked up there and said, "You guys can't come in the pool. This is a private pool marine. You're a racist Okay. She would be able to tell you more. I got the bits and pieces. Okay. Calling her a racist B is not um a threat. No. My This guy is in trouble. Listen to this on the phone as I'm driving back here. Listen Okay. Sure. Sure. Sure. Sure. I know. They came down this and they And the sad thing is is he actually is telling his story thinking that the kids are going to get in trouble. Right. Feeding on their bikes. They weren't speeding. They were just riding along. And as they were leaving, "You can't touch us. You can't do nothing to us. My mom's going to come back and beat Why is he standing like You hear that? Yeah, that that's a problem. Stand by you. We're We're about to work through that cuz apparently he made the the claim to dispatch and doesn't seem to have any ID with him right now while carrying this gun. Okay. Can Can you do me a favor, hang out my partner here for a second? Put this old boy in cuffs, man. What's going on? Let's disarm him. Okay. Is he supposed to be carrying? I don't know, but he has no ID on him. He's telling dispatch he's a US Marshal, which I don't I'm just saying he's not. Let's verify the fact why he pulled his firearm. We're We're just going to take the firearm off you. I'm going to temporarily disarm you here. Are Are you Are you law enforcement in any way? No. Did you tell our dispatcher you're a US Marshal? No, I said that to the kids to scare them so they wouldn't leave me. You told these kids that you're law enforcement and you're not. No. No, sir. I'm I said, "No, I'm a US Marshal. You can't leave. You got to wait for the Kenosha police." >> [gasps] >> I don't think that's how it works. >> are being pretty calm with them. I mean, we'd have just snatched him up. Listen He's admitted that he held the kids against their will. He admitted brandishing the gun. He admitted uh that he falsely ID'd himself as a US Marshal to the kids. It doesn't matter if you're just trying to scare them. You can't do it. larger concern that required further verification. Do you Do you have a concealed carry permit? >> Yeah, it's in the car. It's in the car. Is it What state is it through? It's through Alabama. Through Alabama? Okay. It's a lifetime pistol pistol carry concealed weapon. Okay. So, yes, I do have one. >> Okay. Just want to verify that's clear for me. I'm sorry. 10-9. You see if the wife will grab a CCW so Yeah, we have some issues here. We have some major issues. Let's verify how and why he pulled his firearm. Look, it's pretty cut and dry to me already. I'm All right, I'm going to what manner he was utilizing it. We probably have to pull some video from that area over there cuz the only he's stating that these kids threatened his wife, but all he's saying is that they called her racist. >> And that's Which is what the call notes say. Which that's all it says. So, I think Diaz is with the wife right now. We have to verify what exactly these kids said to her in order to make him pull his firearm, right? Cuz And is Alabama even a valid CCW here? No. Just have to go back and It's just piling up for this guy. >> that have reciprocity or something or Yes. Like Like Arizona has reciprocity with 30 something states. Okay. Look, it should be constitutional carry in every state cuz it's our second amendment right, but that's a conversation for another day. We'll work on it. You You're taking care of that? He's calling up to You're calling him up? Yeah. With more information emerging, the case begins to take a different turn. Hey, uh who took the who took the call uh for this call on 3rd Ave? Okay. What We're trying to clarify Did he tell you that he was a US Marshal? All right, the Yeah, now we have a whole another set of issues, so he pulled a gun on two kids for trespassing at a pool. Yes. And claimed to be a law enforcement officer. Yes. Yeah, he's going. Yeah. Did you talk to the wife on this? Not only is he going, he's catching some pretty serious felonies. What is she claiming these threats were to her? She said the threats This was not new. This was the same when I came out earlier. They didn't threaten that they were going to bring their mom to fight her, beat her up, and then they called her a racist. Okay, but they did not in fact bring anyone to beat her up. >> No, they just came back and she got upset, and so she called again. Yeah, um That is a funny one that I'm bringing my mom down here to beat you up. We'll probably need to see if we can get video footage in reference to this as well. When officers regroup, they realize the case is much bigger than they first thought. >> have any idea on you at all? It's in the car by the pool. Okay. Where's your CCW? Oh, boy. chuckles The only state it doesn't cover is Illinois. Officers bring their lead up to speed, and their discussion makes the next steps abundantly clear. Also, we have a CCW violation, that's it. Okay. Cool. All right. Hey, Mike. I I I don't I How is the CCW violation the main topic of conversation? To me, that's the least important of all these things. If you want to further ask questions about how he had his firearm and stuff like that. >> going to do that for you. And then, um Where is the gun right now? Uh it's it's we have it. I wish his brother His brother is a US Marshal, I guess, and I'm sure he would be not very happy with what he's done. At what point did the gun come into play with the I was standing there. I said, "You guys are not leaving." Oh, yes, we are. We're going to leave. I said, "No, you're not." I pulled it out. I went like this. How did you So, how did you pull What do you mean? Right here. I like this. I pulled it out, and I pulled it out. Okay. Brandishing, you don't have to point it at it. If I pull it out in a way that threat is threatening, which is what he did, even if he pulled it out and had it down at his side, low ready, if he pointed at them, whatever he did, when he brandished the gun so that they could see it, the intent was to to intimidate them. And so, Not good. Not good. And I had my finger there. And he said And then, he's yelling while I'm talking to the lady. It was pointed down here. So, it was pointed at one of them. >> Yeah, it was pointed down though. I didn't point it at him. I was pointing like this. Okay. So, if it it wouldn't have gone off anyway. Like I said, the clip wasn't locked in anyway. >> He's like, "I wasn't pointing at him. I was pointing it down like this." How does that look to you? It still looks like you're pointing at him. pointed down here, but I wasn't going to shoot him anyway. Just I wanted to scare him to stay there so you guys could get him. Sure. That was the only thing I wanted to do, and then it just kept going worse. Okay. Yeah. Or somebody doesn't understand the gravity of what just happened. I don't understand I really don't understand why we're still dinking around with this and why he's just not snatched up already. No, that's what Mike's double checking with right now, but I don't think so. And finally, as they receive confirmation on the last detail, it becomes clear that Frank pretty much screwed himself over, and the incident comes to a close. You think? You think? pulls it out and it's like this at the kid. So, you pointed at him? He's like, "Well, no, it was kind of like down >> [gasps and laughter] >> And his finger is on the trigger. But the problem is we don't have a proper witness. If there's video of it. Yeah. I mean, just cuz we can't find them doesn't It doesn't mean it's not Are we trying to get out of this or something? It doesn't You have two kids test And you have his own test his own admission >> admission that he did it, plus the two kids, plus him telling dispatch. And then, you're you needed a a witness or a video? He's still crying. Right. Okay. Yeah, okay. You're going to be under arrest right now. Yep. Well, can you No, it's fine. Well, my wife needs to for the We'll make sure she gets to you. Why can I ask why? >> Yeah, right right now, your charges are impersonating a police officer, CCW arms, and we're going to work out the rest. You could potentially be charged with aiming and pointing or recklessly endangering safety. Okay. So, every state has different laws, you know. I mean, this could be child endangerment cuz these kids are their children. They're 16. It could be kidnapping. I mean, there's a whole slew of charges they could put on this guy if they wanted to. >> So, it's a CCW violation. Alabama is saying that your They're hung up on this CCW violation, though, aren't they? >> My wife Somebody called. That's why I'm worried. Okay. Alabama says your CCW's expired. No, it's not. That's what they're saying. Ah. Is your Is your CCW permit in your car? Yes, it's in my wallet. Okay. It's the When you open my wallet, it's the first thing right there. >> Okay. Do we have permission to do that? Yeah. Well, yeah, give the keys to my wife, and she'll get my wallet and castle, no problem. Or you can go with her. Yeah. All right. All right, we'll go do that, okay? Now, what do I have to do? Am I signing myself out when we get this over? >> Frank, we're going to go right here, okay? We'll explain. Does he live on planet Earth? What is happening? So, what's the what's the situation? Do I just sign myself out? >> what am I going to do? We're going to take a little ride around the block, and then you drop me off at home, or what what's going to happen here? >> Yeah. So, like when do we When do they When do they come out and tell me I'm being punked? Yeah, where's Ashton? Yeah. >> [laughter] >> It's not going to hold much longer. Do you want to search on him? Go ahead. You guys got everything. He's staying. Very pleasant, I mean. >> Yeah. Once he's being in custody, do you want us to advise him of his rights, and do you want to make a statement? I just I I said everything I said already with I understand if you want somebody to Mirandize you, fully advise you of your rights. Just Mirandize him. Yeah, why are you asking him that? Just do it. Okay, I understand what's going on. All right. Shorts are going to Can I You want to see yank him up for you real quick? Thanks. Chuckling. Just hilarious. I don't think he understands the gravity of the situation. >> wife's probably going to be too happy. It's your wife, okay? I can't slide back cuz my shorts are going to fall off. This is 8 8 of 24, so I'm working on it. The seat got my flip. He's a nice man. Just really clueless. But unfortunately, ignorance is not an ex Ignorance is not an exception to the law. Good intentions are not typically an exception to the law. Um you let these kids get under your skin so bad that you collected a couple felonies. Mhm. Okay. I'm just I'm trying it. Yep. Yep. Sorry. You're all right. Oh, you're okay, dude. Nice guy. This incident, Frank was charged with felony, impersonating a peace officer to aid in the commission of a crime. Oh, man. Not only is he impersonating a peace officer, but to aid in a commission of crime. This next one's going to be false imprisonment. >> False imprisonment [music] and misdemeanor, intentionally point a firearm at a person, and disorderly conduct. He was eventually released on a $1,000 cash bond. About 2 months later, Frank pleaded guilty to impersonating a peace officer. The remaining three charges were dismissed, but read in. Ultimately, Frank was sentenced to 90 days in the Kenosha County Jail and ordered to pay $3,000 in fines and court costs. Damn. 90 days. Wow. Look, he's lucky. That was could have been, you know, uh false imprisonment of children, all that. Could have been much worse. I I feel like the court took into consideration the the what his intentions were behind what he was doing. That he wasn't intentionally he wasn't a criminal necessarily, but he was let his emotions get the best of him and he committed some crimes. He really thought he was going to help the cops or something. I don't know what he thought. He thought he I don't know. Well, he got 90 days in the Kenosha County Jail >> valuable lessons. Sheriff Zerner's jail and $3,000 in court costs Ouch. >> and a felony that is on your record now. All right, everybody. What do you think? I mean I thought they were they really were trying to figure out how do we not charge this guy and they were hung up on the this CCW which is the concealed carry weapon permit, but in this case I thought there was just so many more glaring problems which were false imprisonment, impersonating a police officer or law enforcement official. And this one case it was in the commission of crime, so I just I'm shocked that he stayed so pleasant and laughing and like, so do I just sign myself out? Which basically a $1,000 cash bond is pretty much the same thing. I don't think that's what he had in mind, but when he thought I sign myself out, you know. With a lot of money. Yeah. It's going to cost you. Oof. He just he took the guilty plea, got it over with. I mean, there wasn't any lawyer would have looked at this case and been like, let's just plead guilty for you. >> Yeah. Let us know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. How did they do? Is this was this a just outcome? Love to know your thoughts. And yeah, like I said, comment, like, subscribe. We'll catch you on the next video.
