No, I'm a federal agent. I'M A FEDERAL AGENT. >> YOU'RE NOT [laughter] GOING TO SWING AT ANYBODY. ALL RIGHT, EVERYBODY, welcome back. We got another video for you. This one comes from Midwest Safety, one of the best in the business. Says Karen returns to the gas station for revenge. I haven't seen it. Let's go. >> Holster your weapon. >> I'm a federal agent. I'm a federal agent with HSI. >> Show me your credentials. >> Here's what I saw. I walked up here to get a drink. This woman had this weapon. This guy >> Immediately gets his ID. Boom, saw the badge, saw the credentials, good deal. So now we don't have to worry about him. We know he's a legitimate person. And um HSI, so you might say, well, why didn't HSI deal with this? HSI is federal. These are what these are probably state laws that they are violating here. And so this requires a state or local law enforcement officer to deal with. But the federal guy can can act you know, he can act uh um for public safety. Uh but obviously the the the deputies or the police officers showed up here to actually take control of the crime. So good job by the HSI guy. Bye. And HSI is Homeland Security Investigations. And what they do is a lot of like human trafficking, big drug investigations, a lot of that stuff. >> What's going on, guys? >> Sit down. >> We were in here to get my my license and my my my gas. She tried to get over it. And we came back to see if we could get the money back. >> You guys were here earlier, right? >> Yes. We were here earlier to come to get our money back. >> If you and I come off like this, >> Mhm. >> is it because of what you come out and be rude, >> Mhm. >> then you're going to get the other half. We came in here earlier. He had money in his car. >> Just come out okay? >> Can you give me the money and speak back? >> He came over here earlier. He had money in his car, and they are trying to say that they didn't. >> The other thing you want to do is he doesn't have two people, so it's really tough to do it, so he can't. Ideally, you'd like to separate them so that the stories you can corroborate the stories as to see whether or not they match up or not. But in this particular case, he's having to deal with both of these folks at once. This is out west. This is either Arizona or New Mexico or maybe California. >> Right. Right. >> He didn't We know. We have his bank He came in here and he told the lady in the front, "I would like to get a lighter and put the rest on here." She overcharged him $6 for the lighter. The lighters are only $1.70. I came in here and I started to be real nice to her. I said, "Okay, you guys charged him for a lighter and then you wanted him the rest in gas." She says, "There was no chance transactions or funds on his card." I'm like, "Okay, well then how did he get the lighter? If there's no funds on his card, how did he get the lighter?" She came off disrespectful, so I'm going to be honest, I went and went ballistic up in here. I checked his card. >> So we got sheriff's deputies here. >> They took his money. They >> This looks like New Mexico to me. >> And on his bank statement, it shows that they never did the transaction the right way. >> What are you going to do with us, sir? >> came over here and I was going to open the door just to come in here and say, "You know what? We would like the money back." >> What's going on here? >> I'll tell you what I saw. >> All right. >> I go in here to buy a drink for a meeting with the attorney's office. And I come out and I see this man and this woman and she's got some black weapon in her hand. Look like a stick or baton or something. And they walk in there and they start screaming and these people are on the phone and asking for the police. So I grab my cuffs, open the door, she's got her She's got like a stick up like she's going to hit somebody. He's there yelling at him and I just draw it out. Hey, police, drop the weapon, let's sort this out, but I can't do anything with everybody yelling at everybody. Drop the stick. She got down. She was being very combative, wouldn't comply. I said, "Listen, I don't know what's going on." I said, "You can't have weapons in front of a costume. There's people that are just trying to shop. It's no go." >> So, were they threatening the clerk or were they threatening >> Like I said, man, it was real weird. When I when I got in there to buy the drink, they were watching them out the window and they were like, "Hey, they just came in here to create a ruckus." Then as I'm leaving, I see him and her leave that vehicle, walk all the way here and she's like got >> Got a good belt buckle? >> You know, just a typical one for self-defense. Here and >> He didn't do nothing. I'm the one that did it. >> What did you do? >> I didn't I came in here like I said, I was going to open the door to talk to him very nicely and >> Oh, yeah. I'm sure she came to talk very nicely. I'm not sure that this lady has that tone in her voice. She certainly [laughter] wasn't going there to talk nicely to these people. >> I was going to quickly get the money back that they overcharged him for and leave, but they want to start their little and then his little rude ass over there opens the door and puts a gun at me. Yeah, you you have Hold on. You have every right to can put your gun out, but the only time you pull a gun out is if that person's really charging at you. >> Nah, she don't get it. She don't know what she's talking about. >> with a weapon. Until a person comes at you with a weapon and goes after you with a knife, a stick or any kind of weapon you have, you have every right to shoot. >> What were you going to do with the >> that stick? >> I didn't do anything. I didn't even hurt nobody. >> Right there, that's a that's an acknowledgement that she did have the stick. Good job by the deputy to ask that question. What were you going to do with the stick? >> I wasn't going to do anything. I was going to scare him, to be honest. That's what I was going to do, but I wasn't going to hit him. >> Threats and So, that's threats and intimidation. Huh? What did you >> Don't worry about it. >> Don't worry about it? >> No. That's my secret. That's where it is. It's in my trunk. >> That's your stick? >> It came off of a little >> Scales making her case, making the case for the deputies. She acknowledged she had the stick, that it was her stick, came out of her trunk, came off a kennel that she was trying to build. >> kennel that I was trying to build. But at the end of the day, when you're going to come out and put your gun at me, you don't do that. Until I actually charge with my weapon and you come with your gun. I'm moving on. Sniping in and out of system on my [ __ ] life. I just got out 2 years ago and I've been doing a hell of a lot good. But now it's to the point when people are going to come out disrespectful, you're going to get a whole another animal. He had no right to put his gun at me. Until I went after him with a weapon and then yeah, you have every right. The minute you put his gun, he asked me to put my weapon down and get down and that's what I did. >> agent, just so you know, okay? Um So that was your That was your >> [laughter] >> Uh she's like, I don't care if he's federal agent. But she didn't know until that point and so Um yeah, I think her tone changed a little bit. Your stick right there? >> That was my stick and he asked me to put it down. >> You didn't have it down? >> I had it. >> She had it in her hand. >> For right now, I'm going to detain you, okay? Because we're going to get into more into the investigation. But I'm going to detain you for a minute. >> You're not going to detain me. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> going to detain me. >> Yes, I am. You're not going to detain Watch this guy over here. Back up, dude. >> Oh, well you're detaining me. >> You ain't being detained. Just relax until we figure out what's going to happen. Okay? Just relax. Relax. You're not You're under arrest. Hey. Hey, relax. >> Oh. HEY, STAND UP. STAND UP, [ __ ] >> HOLD UP. HOLD UP. HOLD UP. HEY. RELAX, IT'LL BE FINE. MOVE OVER THERE. MOVE OVER THERE. OVER THERE. PUT HIM IN CUFFS, TOO. There's no reason to snatch that dude up right now, put him in cuffs. He's no longer a threat. You can always take the cuffs off, but don't leave it let just put him in cuffs. >> Relax. Relax. >> I know that you're under arrest. >> Relax. >> You guys are in the >> Relax. >> You guys are IN THE WRONG. >> RELAX. >> NO. >> RELAX. >> HEY. >> LET ME GET THE RIGHT. RELAX. >> OH, PUT HIM DOWN. >> YOU'RE NOT [laughter] GOING TO swing at anybody. GET BACK. >> NO. >> GET BACK. >> WHY ARE THEY ARE THEY REALLY not putting this guy in cuffs, man? You even said he's crazy and he said he's GOING TO >> RELAX. BACK OFF NOW. >> NO. >> BACK UP. BACK UP. GET BACK. [laughter] STAND OVER HERE RIGHT NOW. STAND OVER HERE. Stay right there. Sit down. SIT UP. >> [laughter] >> GET HER UP. GET UP. >> IT IS ON. >> I DON'T SEE IT ON. >> It is on. >> You know why? They have no right to detain me. Do you know why? I didn't do nothing. >> Relax. >> That's why not. >> Relax. They did have a right to detain her. Actually, they have a right to arrest her. She acknowledged she had a stick. She was threatening and intimidating the people in the store. She acknowledged she was told. She said she was yelling at them cuz she felt disrespected. You had a federal agent as a witness who said that she had a stick and had to use his gun to get her to drop the stick because that is a threat, by the way. Regardless of what she says, you don't have to wait till somebody charges at you with that. If they present a threat within that distance, she was absolutely a threat. These guys are doing a great job. Mine The only thing I would just would have liked to have seen was the other guy put in cuffs as well um because of his behavior and his posture, his pre-fight indicators. >> Do you guys need the wrap? >> We might. >> We need the wrap. >> You guys have no right TO DETAIN ME. >> SEE, IF HE WAS IN CUFFS, you wouldn't have to be dealing with him right now. He would already just be in cuffs and and not presenting an active threat. >> PUT YOUR CAMERA OUT, TOO. PUT YOUR CAMERA OUT, TOO. >> It is on. >> I don't see it on >> Let's back up. >> NO, YOU CAMERA, TELL >> WHERE DO YOU LIVE? You're still being disorderly. >> It's no [ __ ] business. So, the guy TAKE THE CAMERA AND PUNCH IN. >> SEE, HERE COME PUT HIM OH. >> You guys didn't get him >> How are you not getting this guy in cuffs? >> Relax. >> Get off. >> He makes that aggressive movement towards somebody who had their camera out and you still don't put him in cuffs? Come on. >> Stop. Get off. Get the [ __ ] off. >> Relax. >> Get the [ __ ] off. You guys have no right to detain my ass. >> You're going to sit >> You know why? Because I'm not doing nothing wrong. >> You're going to sit in here. >> Sit in here. >> Okay? >> No. >> Make this easy. >> No, you guys made it [ __ ] hard. >> Make it easy. Relax. >> it hard. You guys made it hard. >> All right, get in. Get in. Get in. >> Don't >> All right, drag her through. >> Relax. Relax. Sit up. >> All right, let's go. Now we're good. >> Relax. I need the wrap. >> No, now we're good, you guys. >> We're going to need the wrap. Let me detain him. Huh? Want me to >> Doña Ana County. I think that's Doña Ana County, which is down by like El Paso. >> Leave. Let him leave. >> You guys have no right to detain me. That's why I go crazy. Until I go after somebody with a weapon, then you guys have everybody to do >> Not true. >> my rights. >> Okay. >> You officers are living [ __ ] hell. You officers are living [ __ ] hell. >> Back up. Leave already. Now he goes to jail. Back up. Okay, you need to BACK UP, MAN. GET OUT OF HERE. LEAVE THE PROPERTY. Leave the property. Leave the property. LEAVE THE PROPERTY. NO. NO, YOU can't talk to her, MAN. BECAUSE WE SAID. GET THE [ __ ] OUT OF HERE. GET THE [ __ ] OUT OF HERE. HE'S THE SERGEANT. GET THE [ __ ] OUT OF HERE. GO. GO. Because you're not listening. That's why. Leave the property. Should have been in cuffs already. Leave the property. Go. Get out of here. >> Where are they taking you, hon? Don't leave. You guys have no right to do this [ __ ] You guys have no right. >> You're not going to cooperate? >> No, I'm not because you guys were in the [ __ ] wrong. You guys are You guys are in the wrong is what it is. >> You're in the wrong for not letting us do our job. >> are you >> No. No, she is in the wrong. They are in the right. They This is exactly what they should be doing. Would have liked to seen that other guy in cuffs. >> You guys want to know what's going on, right? >> We're letting you talk. We're going to talk to the clerks. >> Why? >> So one of the challenges with letting that guy go, I'm still hung up on that, by the way. Um first of all, like he made an aggressive movement towards somebody else. He was He had his fists balled up. He was He was a serious potential threat. When they were arresting her, he was part of the threats and intimidat- intimidation initially, even though she had the stick. He was with her when they both did it. So, he should be in cuffs as well. Now, here's my problem is when you let him go back to the car which I think he was going to get in that silver car. What if he runs the car into them now? That car be can can become a weapon. What if he grabs a gun out of there and all of a sudden start shooting at them? Like this is why put him in cuffs. Get her out first and then you can take the cuffs off and get this guy out of there. But at least he's not a threat that you have to worry about for now. I know what they're trying to do. They didn't want to you know arrest him too, but I would have neutralized that threat in the meantime until we dealt with this thing and got got it under control. >> Everything I said was a lie. Everything I said was a lie. >> NO, YOU GUYS AREN'T. >> I told >> I told you guys everything that went on You guys are in the [ __ ] wrong is what it is. >> No, you're good, man. Thank you. >> What the heck? >> Are you guys wanting these people trespassed off here? >> Trespassed off what? Yes, sir. >> Thank you. All right. >> [laughter] >> Bro, I don't trust him. I don't trust him being in the car, bro. Donya in the Donya in the county. >> So, please. >> Not yet. You need to calm down a lot. >> Please. >> We have this wrap for you. >> I'll work with you guys if you guys let me talk to him. >> Good. Sarge is keeping an eye on him. >> We have this wrap. If you're not going to cooperate you're going in that wrap. >> I get it. I will >> [laughter] >> cooperate. >> You're going to have the wrap and you're going to be in there. >> Okay, I'll cooperate, okay? >> Just be quiet for now. Let us finish the investigation and we'll go from there. >> I don't want to get arrested, please. >> Oh, you're arrested already, babe. You're arrested already, honey. >> Give us an opportunity to figure out this whole thing, okay? >> I didn't do anything wrong. I promise. >> Okay, I'm going to talk to them. >> Please. >> We're going to figure it out. Earlier they came, I did a report for the larceny, they stole lighters. They came in, they tried to do some [ __ ] fight some stuff. They paid with a card, it was declined. When she told them it was declined, they got pissed off, they got a stack of lighters, took off with it, kicked everything else off off the counter. It's still all messed up and you know, they fixed it up. Well, they they came back, they parked right here, and when I pulled up, that agent had them at gunpoint. There's a stick right there. It's like a plastic pipe. He said, I guess the agent said that when he was inside the store, he saw them coming in with that stick. I just need to talk to the clerks and see what happened this time around. >> What happened is the lady pulled up out there, the lady and the man parked out there. Courtney said she's back. I said back. I called my room mom. And then they walked over here and she had a stick. She comes in and tries to get in. So, we had a customer here, he held this door and Courtney and Shanice held that door so she couldn't come in. Well, she's taking the stick and beating it on the window and trying >> Huh. That's disorderly conduct and it's and it's threatening and intimidating. >> And to break the window to come in and saying that she was calling them names and you know, stuff like that and saying that they stole her money and everything else and she was going to get them. And then that gentleman got out of the truck with a gun and he said he was a police officer, get down on the ground, get down on the ground. And he I I saw the gun when he walked up and I was like, there's a guy out there with a gun. She finally got down on the ground and he got down on the ground. And then then you came. >> They never entered the store? >> We we wouldn't let them enter because they were going to kill these two. >> They only got to the >> In the foyer. >> The foyer there? >> Yeah, they got inside the foyer. >> So, that was important cuz she said there she was they were going to kill these two. And so, she recognized that adds to the threat level and that adds to the threatening and intimidating that they had a fear that they would be harmed in this particular situation. It also is very important for him the HSI agent using his deadly force to subdue these two and get them to comply and drop the stick. Her saying that, um, adds credence to to him and what he the actions he took as well. >> for you there and um they were holding this door and that door a customer was and was not letting them in the store because we know exactly what was going to happen if they let them in the store and that's when she was taking the stick which was a plastic stick to try to break the window and everything. >> Okay. >> I said might you have something? >> Okay, listen, here's what's going to happen, okay? You've been trespassed from this property now. Do you have your ID with you? >> Yeah, yes, I do. >> Okay. Still dealing with this guy now. Like I do I would have just not been dealing with this guy already. >> Here's what's going to happen, man. We need your drive driver's license, okay? Where is it? >> It's in my >> She has this >> I think she has it. >> Where is it? >> All right, this dude has a valid driver's license, I'll be shocked. >> She have it she didn't have anything on her. >> Really? >> All right, what's your name, man? >> I don't >> Whose vehicle is this? >> It's mine. This is mine. This is mine. >> It's registered to you? >> It's registered in my name. >> I don't know why you guys are detaining her for. What's the point to >> detaining her for? What's the reason? >> That's what that's what we were doing. That's what we were investigating. >> But that cop didn't know no no reason she he put the gun out. You guys you guys are officers you guys know that by now. You guys know by the law you guys be kind to her. You guys are not kind to her because you're not. You guys are like you guys are When you guys as cops going to [ __ ] off. That's not nice talk to a person like that to to get the [ __ ] out of here. It's not that's not nice. >> not >> Uh We heard his little feelings. We heard his delicate little feelings. Aw. >> nice of you threatening other people either, is it? I don't go over there and start uh charging them and and and threatening them like you did. I don't do that. >> Yeah, I know I understand I'm I understand yes, I do I understand now. >> You can't come back on this property, okay, man? I'm trying to be nice to you, okay? If you come back here and they call us and they say, "Hey, he's back here." and we find you here, man, you're going to get arrested. Okay, we don't want that for you. Obviously, you're going through some stuff. >> What about what about gas? How am I going to get gas? >> You have to go somewhere else, man. Yeah, keep yourself her now? She's going to go to jail. >> She's going to go to jail for that? >> Yeah. Cuz what she did? Yes. You know, she she kind of overreacted, right? >> Dumb, man. You don't You don't You don't have the law. You just don't have to beat the people lucky. >> If you don't like it, go be a cop. You know? Do something about it. >> The name and date of birth that you gave me is not coming back to anything. >> That's my date of birth. >> Okay, I'm just saying do you go by like how do you Is there a different way of spelling Daniella? >> It's Daniella. Like no, my date of birth. >> We'll try it again. Um we're going to we're going to take you to the station and we're going to have ambulance people check you out cuz you have some bad some stuff right here. Your knees are messed up. He took off. >> You guys didn't even let me talk to him. >> He took off. He wanted to leave. >> No, [ __ ] >> When are you going to let him When are you going to let him talk to her? She can call him from the jail. >> The suspect was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. >> Yep, both of those. I would have charged her with threatening and intimidating the way she was using the stick and threatening to come in and harm them. She acknowledged that. Um I would have said threatening and intimidating as well. >> She is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. >> All right. Well, I thought these guys I thought the deputies did a good job. The only thing I would have dealt with was that guy. I don't know that I would have arrested the guy. I would have certainly neutralized any threat he might have posed, put him in handcuffs. He obviously was emotional roller coaster. He'd be mad one second and not the other second. And um I just didn't wouldn't have wanted to deal with him. So, he would have gone into cuffs. I probably would have charged him with disorderly conduct because he was with her when they showed up to the gas stations to demand their money back banging on the window. He was right there with her. So, I would have charged them both with disorderly conduct, threatening and intimidating, resisting arrest. I thought these these deputies were more than kind to them and certainly to the guy that should have been put in cuffs. But anyway, let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. I'll catch you on the next video.
