Hey, come here. Come here. Drop your bag. Drop your bag. >> Drop your bag. >> All right, everybody. Welcome back. You know, one thing I don't like is shoplifterss. And this video is from Lens of Law and it is motheraughter shoplifting duo gets instant karma. Let's check it out. >> Haven't seen it. >> Your back both of them. Going to need double cuff her. >> That's a nice. >> On March 6th, 2024 in Moskego, Wisconsin, officer Forgoso was dispatched to a Kohl's retail store after employees reported previous theft suspects Edna and her daughter Precious having reappearing and behaving suspiciously. I was going to make a joke about the name Precious, but I probably shouldn't. >> What did she just At one point, employees observed Edna returning a brown purse, which they believed to be full of tags removed from the items she intended to steal. Later, Edna left the store with a shopping cart of those stolen items while Officer Foso waited outside. >> You know, if they would just work this hard at a job so they could actually pay for the product, um, they would do so much better, but instead they work hard to break the law. And I can't stand shoplifting. I can't stand thieves. She and Tro is in trouble. >> They better not be driving a nice car. >> Come here. >> Drop your bag. Drop your bag. >> Mhm. >> Drop your bag. >> What's your name? Open your hands. >> Drop that. >> What's your name? >> Edna. >> Don't Don't be reaching your pockets. What's your name? >> Edna. >> Edna. Okay. I'm Officer Fosu with Mosquo. Okay. We got called about suspicious activity, possibly a retail theft going on. >> Okay. >> Okay. What's your name again? >> Edna. >> Okay. Do you have an ID on you? >> No, I don't. >> You don't have an ID on you at all? I don't. Okay. All right. What do you have in your pockets? Do you have any weapons or anything like that? >> Back here. >> Just keep your hands in your pockets. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, they're moving her back the other place because I think that the daughter is still in there and they don't want the daughter to see and get spooked and maybe put the stuff back. So, my guess is they're moving her out of the eyes or eyesight or whatever of where the daughter would see her mom. >> Silver Tahoe. >> No. >> No. >> No. >> What car were you going towards? >> Huh? >> What car were you going? >> I was just going to keep walking. >> You were just going to keep walking? >> Yeah. What car did you come in? >> What car did you come in here for? >> I didn't come in a car. >> How'd you get here? >> I got dropped off. >> By who? >> Huh? >> By who? >> By my uh friend. >> By your friend? Mhm. >> We'll wait for Aaron. >> Yeah. How do you spell your first name? >> DN A. >> Yeah. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> So, obviously the Tahoe is theirs. >> No. >> You sure? >> Okay. If I get stuck, I'm gonna be pissed. >> No. >> You don't got no needles on you? >> No. I wouldn't I wouldn't lie to you. >> Okay. Right now, you're being detained. Okay. >> Okay. She wouldn't lie to her. She wouldn't lie. We'll find out if that's true >> for our investigation. >> Okay. >> By the way, she already lied when she said that she was dropped off there that she did not drive there. >> Did you conceal anything on you? >> No. >> Okay. >> Just sit tight. Okay. >> Yeah. >> This is your name? >> Yes, it is. >> Okay. If you're lying to me, give me a fake name. You know that's a charge. >> Yeah. I'm not lying, officer. >> Okay. Do you have a driver's license? >> No, I don't. >> Have you ever had a driver's license? Yes, I have. >> Okay. So, if I pull you up, then I should show a picture of you and it's you. >> Okay. Sit tight. >> Okay. >> Eddie, you want to grab the bag and that earring? >> Yeah. >> And we're actually going to walk up around this passenger side just cuz this lady's going to leave and I don't want to be standing on that side of the car. Oops. Sorry. Where's Precious? >> You didn't come in this SUV. >> Oh, I don't even know whose SUV that is. >> Okay. So, it sounds like from the Cole staff that they said you came out of this car. >> No, I didn't. >> Is the video going to show us? Obviously, they got video cameras on the outside of the building inside the building. >> No, I didn't. >> Okay. >> I walked through the through through the, >> you know, pass it. Yeah, I do. >> You do? Okay. >> Yeah. >> You can throw her in the back if if you want. For now. >> Do you have your gloves? >> Yeah. >> Just do a quick search and for days you can do a more thorough one. >> Okay. Look, right now you're under arrest for retail theft. Okay. We have information from the store from inside. They watched you push your cart out of the store for all those items without making an attempt to pay for any of them. >> Okay. >> I'm not going to ask you any questions right now, but I'm telling you that's why you're under arrest. I'm going to search you. Do you have anything that's going to stick me, poke me? Needles, knives, nothing like that. You sure? >> Okay. Spectre your feet for me. >> So, you're always going to search him before you put them in the back of your car. >> And because she's under arrest, this is a search incident to arrest. Please answer me. Wonder where Precious is. There you go. >> What is this? That's a uh device. Yeah. >> I'm guessing the white shirt, Nike shirt on is an item from inside the store. >> Old. This is old. >> Oh, you have pockets at all? >> Looks kind of new. >> No, it's old. >> You don't have pockets, do you? >> It's old. Very old. >> Do you have the other earring on? >> Yeah. step in. I got to get set this one up kind of goofy. I mean, look, you're stealing from Kohl's. Imagine how many different places these folks are stealing from. Um, I'm sure that this is probably and then a lot of them what they'll do is steal it and then they'll go online and sell it and make profit off of it. Um, so it's not just like they're stealing for for personal use. A lot of times they'll actually resell it on eBay or other places. Meanwhile, Officer Cortezy waited for Precious to exit the store as well. Correct. She walked past the point of sale. >> Copper. >> Okay. Put your hands on your back. Both of them. >> Help me here. >> Yep. >> That's it. How many times have we talked about just put them in cuffs? Put them in cuffs. Don't let this problem get out of hand. He had double cuffter. I called it. So now what they're doing is they're locking the handcuffs so that they don't squeeze tighter. Um, so there's a little button on the handcuffs. You push it in and lock the handcuffs. >> Precious. >> Hey, we're gonna go over to my car. >> Uh, >> no. We're going over here. >> Oh, I was just asking about my purse. Is it going to stay with me? >> Is it got actual stuff in it or is it all stolen? >> My purse is my stuff. >> Well, we got to figure out which purse is your purse. We'll get it all sorted out. >> Get in your car and let's just drive over there. >> Okay. >> And I'll I'll get you back in your >> All right. Watch your step here. Let me turn my dash cam on actually and then I'll do a search. >> Do you have anything on you that's going to poke me, harm you in any way, shape, or form? >> No. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Let me grab the other light here. >> All right. And then drive over there. >> Yeah. Seat belt. >> Yep. >> That's got to be the worst feeling when all of a sudden you come out and the cops pick you up and you know your world has just come crashing down. Just kidding. I knocked my car all the way. Copy at 27. C A M A R I. Yeah. >> Speakers on this. Not going to matter, >> right? >> She had a security detaching device in her on her possession. Oh, >> and then she had some type of credit card with information on it. >> Credit card with some information. >> I didn't get a good look at it. >> That's the sergeant. >> Make sure Egg's fine. Um, >> he did a quick we did a quick search of her just to so we could get her in the car >> cuz I said I thought I saw hands go up in the air and I thought I was coming over to help >> this purse too. >> So now what they'll do is go in and figure out they'll take everything back in and figure out what the total is because how much they stole depends on the severity of the crime. Whether it's a class one, two, three misdemeanor. I don't know how Wisconsin classifies their misdemeanor and their felonies. You still enough it can be a felony. But my guess is this will not rise to felonious theft. >> So if we can divide and conquer if I go with one person, if you go with another she like put a belt out and it's all in the purse. >> I've got a bag with actually she pulled up the stuff. She had a device on her. We got it. Got it. Okay. This big metal silver puck thing that had like a star shape. >> You probably know better than I. >> I'll just lay all this out and come back and photo it. >> Yeah. Anybody who's been shopping, especially after Christmas, they got those things on the counter when you check out and it's that big metal thing that she had that they stick it in there and there's some magnet in there that releases the anti- theft device, which is what she was doing. She had it on her person. and Precious were then transported and booked into the Wakaaw County Jail. Edna was found guilty in court on the charge of retail theft of property between $500 and $5,000. She was sentenced to 4 months in the local jail. Precious was found guilty of retail theft of property below $500 and was sentenced instead to spend 90 days in jail with a year of probation. Both Edna and Precious combined had to pay almost $1,600 in fines. Please consider showing your support by liking this video if you want. >> Well, there you go. Um, man, I thank goodness. I'm I'm happy to see that they were held accountable. I thought four months in jail was appropriate for Edna. And I told you that the the dollar amount mattered. So, between 500 and 5,000 is obviously triggers another level of misdemeanor. And where Precious had $500, maybe she put something under 500. So, maybe she put some stuff back. I don't know. But in the end, um, yeah, she was caught, too. And she had 90 days in jail, which is a pretty good amount for something like this. So, I'm glad to see it. And probation and probably blacklisted from Kohl's. I'm sure they'll have their picture in there in their office saying if these two ladies come in, um, they're not allowed. Probably trespassed as well. So, let me know what you think. I love to see when shoplifterss are cop caught. And, uh, I love to see when, uh, thieves are caught. because it has an impact on all of us because it raises the cost of goods for all of us. So, let me know what you think. Comment, like, subscribe. Great job by these officers and uh they got what they deserved. We'll catch you on the next
