Officers closing a park came across a suspiciously occupied vehicle. Okay, so first of all, I've come across this many times. More times than you probably want. Um people think when they park in the middle of nowhere that that is going to not get attention. I'm going to just going to give you a little piece of advice. If you park where nobody else is parked, it will get the police attention. That is going to get our attention. And then when we pull up, we can immediately usually tell if the vehicle is occupied. Um she's clearly she doesn't understand the way things go. The door was fine to be open and she's going to need to produce her ID because both of them were involved in this. Just cover up with the blanket. She could have I have my IDs right there. I'll get it for you. Here's my name. Just give me your name, okay? That's all I need. We're not playing these games. You're a thousand percent cool, cooperative, couldn't care. You're in the park after dark, your plates are expired. Didn't even check your insurance. I don't care about those things. I'm closing the gates. That's the only reason I'm here. I was going to walk up, "Hey folks, closing gates, you need to move along." That was it. And she wanted to play those games. We're not playing those games tonight. You didn't play those games, that's why you're leaving. I have zero issues with how you handled yourself and I'm not playing those games. Well, I'm not I'm not worried about myself, I'm worried about her. All right, but she's going to go downstairs and chill for a little while and then get right back up. Okay, so can I come down there? >> Sure. As long as she wants to give my jailer her proper information, we get her processed. Can I talk to her? Do you think you you can convince her to cooperate and and help herself out? >> Are you going to let her go? She has to get booked in. Like we're past that, just her walking out of here. If she wants to go down and be cooperative with my jailer and just simply provide her information, we'll book her in, she'll be she'll walk. So, in this particular case, you don't necessarily have to book her in. Maybe they do. What we could do is say you're she's going to get a citation at the minimum. Um because it's a misdemeanor. So, she'll get a citation. If she produces her ID now, she can get her citation and go on her way. If she doesn't, she's going to go to the jail and we're going to she's going to get one rolled or or whatever they do. Got it. If you're going to convince her to cooperate, then that's fine. >> Okay, I I will try. They should be right out. You can follow her follow her down and we will as soon as she's done booked out, we'll send her back down to the front lot the front parking lot. You can just wait in your car if you want. Okay, can I just pull up to the front or do I need to come in? No, you can just sit out in your car in the front parking lot. Give it about an hour. So, they're going to book her in and it basically this replaces the citations cuz you book her and then then she's into the system and will get a court date. The citation is basically you are you were arrested uh if it was a misdemeanor, not a traffic violation necessarily, but a misdemeanor you get arrested, the ticket is your court summons, and that keeps you from having to actually go and get booked in at the jail. So, they got they got to get her booked in and process take her picture do some of that stuff, but they $0. Okay, there's no money or nothing, but just give her an hour. You can sit out in the front parking lot and just chill. And we'll kick her right out the front door as long as I see your blue car sitting out front kind of thing. Okay? Okay, I'm going to I'll go I'll meet you down there. All right. There you go. That was very cool of them. The customer starts wanted to play a game on giving me your information. Okay, I'm 2349 Ash. Well, unfortunately, I know the constitutional rights a little better than you do. Well, and look where we're at. Did not need to be here. Your friend drove away. Your friend drove away. She left. Why didn't need to be authority to her, now did I? Cuz she cooperated. She didn't give me a hard time. You can play head card all you want. I asked you 30 times to give me your He did. You just absolutely refused to. It was very very pleasant and was all she had to do was comply. Right? Same juice out back any female 301 copy. 10-4 time 23 mg. The woman was charged with obstructing identification and resisting arrest. All right, so resisting arrest and obstructing or not providing identification. Um probably got What so what he was saying is there will be no bond. So they would just she would get booked in and then released. Um So yeah, I mean look, it all could have been avoided first of all if they weren't parked in the parking lot like that. And then simply by being cool about it and saying, "I'm sorry, this is embarrassing. We got caught. Here's my ID. We'll take off. We'll get out of here." But no, no, she had to be difficult and in the end she went to jail, wasted our time, wasted resources, all because she just didn't want to provide her ID. So once again, simple cooperation.
