Badge number. That says name. >> Today's case occurred in Park City, Utah around 3:00 p.m. on September 29th, 2019. Several Park City officers arrived at Michael Franczyk's home in response to a neighbor dispute call. As just shortly before this, Michael's 15-year-old son Jack was riding a gas-powered bicycle around a neighbor's property. And the neighbor believed he was causing a nuisance and trespassing on private property. So, a verbal argument broke out between the two families, at which point another unrelated neighbor saw this and immediately called the police. While also telling officers that Michael had a handgun waist, which is why multiple officers showed up at Michael's front door. >> Can I help you? >> Hello. Are you Michael? >> Hi. No. No. >> Michael refused to communicate with the officers and turned to go back into his house, but he did not expect that they would actually follow him inside. Because under the Fourth Amendment, every person's home is their castle, and except for a few special circumstances, police cannot break in without a warrant. Obviously, these officers also understood this. So, they kept trying to drag Michael outside. At this time, Michael's son Jack heard his father's shouts.
