Coming up. >> 10-50, 10-50, roll over, get ambulance and fire. Hands! Let me see your hands! LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS! PUT YOUR hands up! Good. Hey, what's up out there? It's the cop and the con. Here we are. Hey man, we're going to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. >> Hey, they got a lot of pursuits going on out there lately. This is another one. This one's crazy, it's fast, you got to see it. Let's go. Let's speed it up a little bit as we can. He's driving on my way here. He's on his way. Yeah. We have traffic. Here we go. We're slowing it down. We're actually coming up on the vehicle. Um little bit slow on the ground up there. It's just like what I Yeah. I've been on many high-speed chases. Silo's on the right. >> Yep. Hit baby. >> Yeah. More fields to go. >> Now, the vehicle's in in in its way and I did hear there was some report of the speeds of about 100 115 up to 115. Normally in scenarios like this, it's okay to pursue. You know, out here in the country with that speed. You got to ease, you go back. Yeah. >> If it's dangerous cuz I used to get in the other seat, he'd go too fast and the cops would have to stop. Yeah, usually if you get if going the other lane, that's great. >> Yes, yes, I did. Good job, Dave. >> Well, I got away. >> So proud. So proud. >> Hey, I'm so proud of you, buddy. >> My mom had a bumper sticker that said, "My son was an inmate in prison." Yeah. My inmate son could be up here on a road trip. Yeah, good job, Dave. >> Now my son's on a road trip, both of us, actually. So I'm trying to change it. So the pursuit goes on. A lot Actually, we sped it up quite a bit, so it's been going for a while now. But we're going to see something What time is it coming up here? Quite amazing. Is it night or day? Uh this would be this would be uh I think it's I think I think it's uh afternoon like what looks like um yeah, about 6:00. Yeah, 6:00. We're doing something. >> Yeah. All right. Okay, this is one scene where he's putting up stop sticks. Car goes around him. Watch this. About four rolls, four flips. Yeah, Johnny, you can turn up the volume just a little bit. There we go. Now what they're doing, I was amazed. First of all, they just You can pause it there just for a second. It ain't fun being on the other end of one of them rifles. Have you Oh, no. Yes. Yeah. So, the car flipped, right? So, these guys are instead they did a great job, right? They responded great. They instead of running up on the vehicle, they did the right thing because realistically, they got to take care of these people at some point, but you got to take care of yourself first. And they knew that these these people were running from them and they probably didn't really care too much, you know, about their anybody else's safety. So, they're they're they're geared up to go uh make a a serious felony stop. >> Yeah. Yeah. Definitely. All right. >> That was like some Dukes of Hazzard though. Oh, that was crazy. That's a big airtime on that Now watch them as they go up. Yeah, getting covered, talking to each other. Come on, guy. Yes. Man got nothing else to do. Yeah, but nobody walked in front of I don't like a lot of suits LATELY THOUGH. HANDS UP! HANDS OUT! HANDS OUT! HANDS! LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS! LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS! WHERE'S HIS OTHER HAND? I CAN SEE HE'S HOLDING a phone. He's holding a phone. >> Okay. Hold on, black cell phone. >> It don't sound like a guy. Drop the phone now! Let me see your hands! DROP THE PHONE! DROP THE PHONE! DROP THE PHONE! DROP THE PHONE! YOU CAN PAUSE THAT FOR A SECOND. HOW HOW HE HAVE How does he have a phone in his hand after that crash? That's what got me baffled. I mean, they flipped like four times. >> to check his Tik Tok. His Tik Tok? Yeah, he's going to get the phone in the hand. I mean, it's crazy. You think the phone >> rolled a car and didn't even spill my beer. I can believe that, Dave. True story. Where were the cans? In between my lap. And they never left your lap? >> to I promise you it happened so fast I still had a beer. I I can call somebody and clarify if you want me to. Those thighs, baby. Oh, gosh. Here we go. >> clarify and verify. Drop Drop the item. Drop the ITEM SO WE CAN GET YOU OUT. DROP THE DROP THE ITEM. I'LL GO WITH YOU. THAT'S A GIRL. THERE'S ONE girl in there. There's two subjects, I believe. One male. Check this Check this Look at this hook they got. Whoops, I didn't mean to put it through your head. He's like, "Sorry." Oh, are you hurt? You're hurt more now. Keep your hands up. Training 101 right here. She looks dead. What is His leg is numb. What's going on? Yeah, yeah. Hey, you got room to get him out of there? Not yet. We're still cutting through. He started out on the fire reserve. For his bad guy. All right. Cole, keep stepping back. KEEP YOUR HANDS UP. COLE, KEEP COMING BACK. Keep your hands up. Look at this guy gets yanked out of there. Yeah, they're not joking him bad, though. They beat that last kid. Yeah. Can you reach over to the other side? Oh, she could be hurt, guys. Scared to as come here. Grab my hand. Okay, guys. Grab my hand. >> Look at all the crap that guy's got. Keep pause that for a second. Look at all the stuff that guy's got in. Gun belt is loaded with stuff. >> know. I'm I'm going to be quiet. >> He's got a Galls catalog right there. It's like >> It's always these little fellas in this little town. He's like Barney Fife. >> You got everything going on there. >> wanted to get the motorcycle on Andy He always wants to get the stuff on Andy Griffith. He got We need this, Andy. That's this guy right here. He got it all. Go ahead, John. He sits at home and orders stuff. Hell, yeah. Understand? Didn't ask for this. Yeah, I know. She's She was driving, I think. I I don't know which one was driving, to be honest. >> Off subject, our presumed innocent until proven guilty. >> Yeah. And it's kind of hard to >> Dave, give us a little Dave, just give us a little rundown on this whole thing now. Pursuits, um I'm I'm just saying. >> yeah. How many pursuits do you think you've been in? >> know. A lot. >> We talk about it. >> I can I can remember I mean, probably more different ones. You know, some just like real quick I got away for the cop to do a U-turn, but three big ones I can remember. Like where it was like smoking and bandit, dude. Every time I looked in the rearview mirror, there was another cop. And one took me through three counties before they got me. They did get me. And then one, I pulled a cool move on them. I went over the bridge. Anybody who's in Peoria knows this. I went over the East Peoria bridge. Cop was chasing me like this. He's coming behind me. I went over the bridge. Well, when you get off the bridge, you can, you know, go into town, but right here's a median where you go right back over. So, as soon as I came off the bridge, I drove over the median, went back over the bridge, and the other I'm like this, passing them up. It's pretty good. So, one of one of my duties at the sheriff's office was I was a pursuit board chairman for about 10 years, as a patrol captain. So, what we did is every month we would go ahead and we we'd have probably anywhere from eight to 15 pursuits a month >> Right. in in Collier County down here in in uh Naples, Florida, pretty Naples, Florida. Beautiful. So, you know, some would be short pursuits up to, you know, 10 seconds all the way up to, you know, sometimes That's not a pursuit, Ken. Well, what you Once you activate it and you That's another thing. Once Once a police officer tells dispatch, and they're supposed to, right? They tell them that they they are in pursuit. And that's an always always an issue because once it's declared, then it becomes a number and then we have to check in with What's the longest one you've been in? >> Uh the longest one I personally been in, um probably about 20 25 minutes or so. >> long. >> The the one We had a bank robbery going back across bank going back across um Alligator Alley. The guy came over, FBI was watching him, came over. Um FBI lost him. We knew they were going to do a bank robbery that day, so we were prepared for them to do something and then head back to Miami. Sure enough, about 4:00 they hit the uh uh what was the the I think it was the Bank of America down on East Trail. Right. And we got them. We got in a pursuit. We're heading across. They freaking ditched and they went and jumped over a fence when the Everglades and the place is infested with gators. >> Yeah. We had them rounded up in about probably seven or eight minutes. >> Yeah, he didn't want to So, we That's a cool story, though. Yeah, so we used to watch We used to watch a lot of these videos and there's a couple major things. Um you know, what what are the conditions? What's the weather, the roads? Um is it, you know, a lot of traffic? What are the speeds? And those things continuously have to be updated um to dispatch so the supervisor that's running the pursuit can hear it. In our agency, we'd always have somebody that would monitor as a supervisor the pursuit and they would be able to uh monitor and terminate it at any time. You don't want the person in the pursuit making that decision cuz it's just not not a good decision. >> in a You're in the heat of the So. But no, this thing she I had imagined I'm just speculating I don't know there was some drugs involved or They found they did find drugs in the car. You don't just take off driving unless there's a reason. Yeah. You know what I mean? Now I did do it one time just because I wanted to try it. And all they wanted to do is tell me take my sister's car home. Yeah, that was it? No, yeah cuz I took it without asking for permission. See, just But I was just I had to gas pedal on the That was Yeah, that was stupid. >> So a lot of pursuits make sure you like, comment talk about it. If you Have you ever been in a pursuit? Please put it down there. >> Put it down. >> Have you ever outrun the police? Please put it down there. >> Or if you're the police officer I seen it at the gas station who said, "You guys need to do something on mine." He was a state trooper Florida state trooper. I was telling him about the channel and he's like, "You need to do" I was like, "Well, send them to us. We'll do it." Put them down there. And police officers, please chime in give me your thoughts and listen these things are dangerous. Great job by these guys at the end. Felonies stopped they did a great job. Minus the guy busting the window. Well, the guy but he was I mean the guy's like taking a whack at it like John says. >> whacked him in the head. Yeah, well that may maybe you know, accidents happen. You look like the Warriors when they had the baseball bats. Yeah. The one that Never mind. Put it in. Hey listen, thank you for watching Cop to Cop.
