[Music] Hey, hey, hey. Welcome to the cop and the con. You got it. Hey, we're fired up today. We got a lot of videos we're running through. This one really hit a nerve with me. Young lady going to high school. Um she was uh at Selena's high school and she was a track star and she still is a track star. I think she's just only a sophomore. And Dave, she won the race, right? And she celebrated right a little bit too much. What happened according to the authorities, the track authorities? And uh yeah, we watch this video and kind of show you what she did. And uh it's kind of interesting because you mean nobody's getting on alive in this one? No one's this. Hey, this is a this is actually I'll be honest with you, this is going to benefit fit this young lady. I had a chance to review it really quick, but this is going to benefit her in the long run. Uh smart young lady did something that she felt that was fun, right? Justified, right? Um even at the end of the video, I think she says uh without getting all into it, she says that she if she knew she was going to get disqualified, she wouldn't have done it. However, she doesn't regret the decision to do it. That makes sense. All right, let's play it. Let me be the judge of this and we'll see. Let's do it. Here we go. See what's going on. All right. Let's go. Oh, I see. [Music] I work so hard for that title. the great Oh, that's all she did. All right. Yeah, let's go ahead. I want to re replay that because this poor thing, she worked her butt off. Sophomore in high school. Dad looks like he been smoking some weed right for this. So, her dad is her coach. Turned out to be pretty cool. He's looking at the He's looking at the top, baby. He's looking at the top of the fire extinguisher going, I hope this thing isn't expired. But no, but that's all she did on the side. Yeah, that's all she did. Let's go ahead. Yeah, let's run this back a little bit. Uh because we kind of missed the first part of it. But watch this celebration. I think track needs a little bit more of this. Look, she Oh, there was her dad yelling. She's off the track. She's saying, "I'm on fire. I'm on fire. I'm on fire." Look. Oh, she get one little spray. Oh, look at this guy. Work so hard for that title. Here we go. There we go. She's running it pretty fast around there as she goes as her dad. Her dad happens to be her coach and like she said in in the press conference. Um she's going over to her dad right now. Her dad's giving her this. They had this set up. Oh, he gave her the fire extinguisher and it comes out in the press conference, but her dad tells her say, "Hey, listen honey, you can do this, but don't do it on the track. Go over onto the grass." and um you know do celebrate over there. You mean they they got her because she did that little thing. Yeah. And she just stuff NFL players do and all these people. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. So yeah. So she just goes over. He just won. Yeah. She's over there doing it. Look, everybody's having a good time except this old guy. Old guy. He's like, "What are you doing?" Well, I'll tell you what I'd have did. I'd have sprayed him in the face. So she actually did this because it's been done in the past with a prior Olympian. So, she got that idea. Yeah. Um, so yeah, she she kind of did that in the past, but of course, why did she just shot him? Oh, yeah. Yeah. And she's she's such a respectful girl. She was like, I'm having a good time. It ain't even on the stuff really, man. Yeah. And from my understanding, these guys grabbed onto her and obviously her dad wasn't real happy about that. Her dad ain't no little dude either. Yeah. He's he's chewing. He's chewing her butt. Like, get get over there. Get over there. Um, I don't think I want to mess with her dad. This is her speaking just a little bit at the press conference. But before we do that, let's get your thoughts, Dave. Uh, a little Can we talk about that guy's hairline? His hairline. He looks like Beetlejuice. He got little Beetlejuice action on there. But I think I I agree with you. I mean, when you go to a track meet, there is not a whole lot going on and there's nine other events happening at the same time. You don't even know somebody just won something. All right. So what? The girl ran fast and she won and she did a little showing off. It ain't Now I could see if she sprayed it on the track and then people had to run there and they couldn't clean it up. She's over on the grass. Let her celebrate a little bit. I mean, we live in a a world where sports people do some of the craziest stuff ever when they Let her be hyped up. Yeah. Especially in track. Yeah. Yeah. There ain't nothing going on in track. Especially in track. You know, I remember Carl Lewis. Oh yeah. You put some police lights behind me. I'll show you track. Hey, I don't know. Have you looked in the mirror lately, buddy? Yeah, I did. And I got a fly. No, you are looking pretty good. No, I I got about And I And I can't give you a hard time. I just ate a slice of pizza not long ago, but you told me you went to the gym today. I did. And then I ate pizza with you. Yeah, you did. You had a slice with me. You had a slight. But yeah, let's let's go ahead and see what she has to say. I think she's pretty sharp. I feel bad for her, man. I do. I do. She's got [Applause] I bet that's her dad. Is that her lawyer? That's her dad. Who's that other uncle's in the back? Couple other people. She I mean she brought that on entourage. I'm Clara Adams. What's up? I'm the Her dad's telling her Her dad's a coach. I like your suit. I I like her attitude here. Watch what she says. I'm the 400 champion. Champion. And I was wrongfully disqualified for this this fire extinguisher. This not the one that I used cuz they took it. It was actually smaller than this. It was smaller than this. So crazy, huh? They should have did it like that. So So yeah. So the fire extinguisher she had that was a prop obviously here, but she said the one she had was even smaller. It was. Didn't you see it? Yeah. And she barely sprayed it. Yeah. I mean, come on. Let the kid do it, man. She just ran around. She's on fire. After my race, I sprayed. No, after my race, I Well, spoken. I was excited. I Yeah, you you like her, you know. Walked over to the front of the bleachers to my dad, coach. And when I went over there, he gave me first he gave me a high five and just told me he was proud of me. And then uh he gave me the the fa the smallest fire extinguisher. So then before he gave it to me, he said, "Walk off the track." Good dad, right? Smart cuz he knew he didn't Other people had to run. They got a lot of events and get off the track. We'll play this for just a little bit. But so I didn't do it on the track. I like your walked off the track. Made sure I wasn't on the long jump pit. I went on the grass and sprayed my spikes because my feet were on fire. I just ran I knew she I just ran 53 seconds in the 400 for the second time in my whole life career. So that was a big moment for me. Especially being consistent in a race like that is hard. So yeah, I celebrated. I've never ever celebrated like that ever before in my track career ever. So for the people who know me, they know if you Well, hopefully she will again. Maybe she'll keep the fire extinguisher out. I I feel bad. I don't think they should. I Hey, if she would have got in trouble, like I get it. I get what they would have to say. Hey, don't do that again. That's cool, but don't do it again. And then she would have been like, "All right, whatever." Then if she did it again, Yeah. then But but the first time to to nah, that's wrong. And the thing is like she's not using this to overshadow her talent because the girl can run. No, she's just doing a cool thing, man. You guys have been to my track before, y'all know. Just a couple more seconds. First time I've ever just kind of thought this was important one to bring up. I did that because it was welld deserved. Yes. Right. During that race, I beat a USC commit and a Stanford commit. So, where am I going? [Applause] We'll get you We'll get you down here at uh Florida GF Coast University. Somebody will pick her up. This will help. Great state of Florida. Oh, it's going to help her. It's going to And she's got great She cares herself well. Can't help but like, right? She's a sophomore. She's a sophomore. We got you, Beetle. So, yeah. After I sprayed my spikes, the official I like her dad's proud though. I like him officials. You tell he's a good dad, too. You know what I mean? They came at me and they started like yelling at me and screaming at me and one of the officials grabbed my arm. Dad don't like that. Uhhuh. So yeah, that's when my dad went over the fence cuz as he should, you know, that's he's he would do the same thing. That's right. I will. So he's he's choking it back too, man. That's when he went over. That's his baby, right? The fence. He he went tried to get over to the field and then apparently they got the the PD like following him and stuff. It was just weird. So when the officials came up to me to tell me, they had to tell they had to get like three officials to tell me that they were going to DQ me, which is just crazy. So the three officials came up to me and they were like, "All right, Dave, give me your thoughts, buddy." Um, ah, man, I think they I I think, okay, if there's some kind of rules, I don't know nothing about track because I never played no sport. But but I'm just saying like if there was a rule like no foreign something something. Okay, she went over and sprayed on her feet. She won the race. Give her a warning. The official could have said, "Hey, take that back over there. Don't do that again or you're in trouble. Don't Don't disqualify the girl and ruin her chances for that. Give me a break." But yeah, there might have been a rule and they just, you know, she didn't know it or whatever. Even if she did know it and she broke the rule. Even if she did, for a con, that's fine. For a con, that's fine. Well, for like a popo, it's I'm going to go and say she didn't know and she did it. But I'm saying even if she did know and she did it, give her a warning. Well, I mean, the one guy on the video, look how many warnings he got that he got shot. Yeah, that's true. You know what I mean? So, give the little girl a warning, let her run another rest of the day and go on. Yeah. And and listen, I worked in the schools. I worked in the high school. Tim loved the kids. I like the kids. Still do. Worked at Naples High School as the deputy there for I don't know, five or six years. oversaw the unit. But you have kids that are going to do things that you're like you laugh your ass off. They do things that you're like, why did they do that? But then you say, okay, it makes sense, right? And they're and they're kidding around and they're having a good time, but you know, they're kids. So you're taking you're stripping this person away. And then she goes on to talk a little bit about how it felt to have people up on the podium, right, in first place position. and she's the one that just crushed him in the run. Totally don't totally don't agree. There's two things I don't agree with. Beetlejuice's haircut and her being not being able to being getting in trouble in racing. Yeah. And and Claire, if you're listening to this, we got you back. Uh we love you. Keep working hard. Come down to Florida and run. It's going to work good for you. We'll take you at FGCU any day. Um or University of Florida. Yeah. Or FSU. Or University of Miami. Come on down, Don Chula. Yeah, we love it. We're proud of you. Uh, good dad, coach. Thank you for doing what you're doing and uh we appreciate it. Like, subscribe, comment, leave them down below. What about you, Dave? Hey, don't just link. Just don't click like. Take a ride with the cop and the con. All right. Let the girl run. Let her run. Let her run to the cow. Let her run. I had to mess with [Music]
