Jacob Montgomery, 32 years old, faced charges brought by the Willoughby Police Department for multiple felony offenses, including aggravated robbery, robbery, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and vehicular vandalism. Separate charges were also filed through the Willowit Police Department, [music] including failure to comply, obstruction, vandalism, tampering with evidence, possession of drugs, and multiple [music] traffic related offenses. The Ohio Adult Parole Authority later confirmed that Montgomery was currently on parole and had an open burglary case through the Ashtabula County Prosecutor's Office. [music] The female passenger, Stacy Camples, was not on parole, but was also connected to the same open case. Camp, 42 years old, was identified as a passenger in a vehicle connected to an incident involving aggravated robbery with a weapon, robbery, [music] grand theft of a motor vehicle, a motor vehicle accident, and vehicle vandalism. She was taken into custody during the investigation. However, the prosecutor determined that charges were not warranted. In a separate incident reported by Willowick Police, [music] Camp Police was later booked on charges including possession of drugs, tampering with evidence, obstruction, and possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for failure to wear a seat belt while in the front seat. [music] She was later transported to Hillrest Hospital for evaluation, where medical staff assessed her and determined that she had no injuries despite her apparent seizure-like behavior. Once medically cleared, she was returned to the Willowick Holding Facility for booking. Jacob was taken to another hospital and then transferred to Lake County Jail where he was ordered to remain in custody [music] and was not granted bond. Following the vehicle's recovery, officers located drug paraphernalia, including a glass smoking pipe and materials commonly associated with narcotics packaging. [music] They also observed white powder residue throughout the interior of the vehicle. Officers also located the cat concealed under the driver's seat, buried beneath various items. The cat was removed and transported [music] to a veterinary hospital for evaluation before being transferred to animal care services [music] and is not suspected of wrongdoing. For privacy purposes, we are not identifying the cat. [music] Both suspects are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
