Hey, >> that's the cop >> and the cop. >> We know which one is which. >> We know which one. I should be the cop >> and the cop. Hey, just so you know, Supreme Court has um basically ruled it unconstitutional um the law of concealed carry. So, they're saying now you can open carry in the state of Florida. But, >> you know, laws in there. >> I got some a little bit of a mixed opinion on it personally because I I feel like one of the big advantages have having a concealed weapon is the person doesn't know. But in this shootout, this happened up in Bay County, Florida. Let's take a look at it. Uh, a guy has been reported as walking around erratically uh, in the area. So, law enforcement pulls up and uh, they confront the guy. Let's go ahead and take a look at it and let's break it down. >> Florida man, >> Mr. Smith, >> I know my name. >> Watch for your gun. It don't work. >> Mr. Smith, >> I'm not reaching for mine. >> I know for yours, >> Mr. Smith. >> Your boy is animated. >> He's a little bit wound up right now, >> buddy. I like this. >> Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. >> He's like, >> and he does like this, too. He's like this. Now you got your gun. >> Give me an A. >> By the strap on, >> sir. >> Mr. Smith, do you know where you're at? >> Yeah. >> Where you at? >> Is this hot? >> Nope. It is not anywhere. This is Carolina practice subdivision. >> Okay. >> Can I take that off you? >> Huh? >> Can I take that by the strap and get off? You were worried about >> You got a gun. You got two of them. >> I know you got two. >> Okay. He goes, "You worried? You worried?" Basically, we're we're at a a factf finding position here in this law. >> Well, this guy isn't wrapped too tight. I mean, his shirt's all sweaty here. It looks like he he's probably a little sunbeat, bud. >> Yeah. I mean, he's out there. >> I mean, he's got that nice little gator skin hat on there. >> Yeah. And we we've been known to have these guys stand on the road with a gun and wait for police to uh wait for them as public to call the uh 911, call us over, and then they want to have this big confrontation. But this guy is actually not not really wrapped that tight here. So, let's let's keep it going. >> So, why is this one? >> Mr. Smith. >> Hey, I'm telling you, you touched me, bro. Miss tackle. >> I got one at gunpoint. Put it down. Put it down. >> Oh, dude. >> Shots fired. >> Mr. Smith. >> Oh, Mr. Smith. Bucket. This ain't going to go good. >> I need code three now. I got shots fired. Is he still shooting? >> Dang. Your boy didn't start hut. >> Yeah, that happened quick, right? He backed up and uh basically you know what that was. >> Let's just roll it back just a little bit. >> A rapid >> rapid evolving situation. Yes, absolutely. I just want to go back a little bit because he worked his way around the car which was actually a good move. Um >> but we're climbing on the hood and he could barely get up there though. >> He jumped up there pretty quick. I like see you're happy bugging up on that on that hood. I love you're working on your cussing. I tell you right now, I could hop on that hood better than that fell right there. Watch him coming back around. >> Mr. Smith ain't going down without a fight. >> He's done now. Watch. Watch. Watch it. >> I need code three now. I got shots fired. Watch me climb up here. Watch this. Okay, now watch. >> I'd like to see your happy butt jump up there that quick. >> Park your little Chevy out front. That's a Ford Explorer. >> Is that what that is? >> Well, I'm glad you're a Ford man. Park your Ford Explorer out there. >> Oh, my got a Chevy Tahoe. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. >> Your ass couldn't get up on a Tahoe. >> I don't got a Ford Explorer. Got affinity, fool. >> Jeez, buddy. >> Hey, shots fired. >> So, watch him peek around here. >> Subject down. >> He's done. They must have probably knew about Mr. Smith because if you remember >> Well, he knew him when he pulled up. Well, everybody knows the crazy dude walking around with guns in town. >> Yeah, they should. >> Well, yeah. And they have Listen, it's Florida. I'm not saying it ain't crazy everywhere, but Florida is just a different breed of guys like this. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's a reason why they say Florida, man. They're walking around with guns. They just, you know, he's he he was looking for trouble, man. I'm sorry. Mr. Smith found it. We have this location 2314. >> Back up. Back up. >> There's a guy pulling up. >> 25 Weber engine 31. code from 231 if we haven't already. >> No, you know this these guys. >> And you know the thing about Bay County, Florida, I'm familiar with it. Um, real rural area, people have guns. You know, upon initial contact, this officer did not want to go this route, >> right? I mean, you could tell he even kind of hesitated >> for a minute. >> Yeah. He tried to give him a little bit like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa." >> He even probably hesitated because he already had his gun out. He was still hesitating. >> Yeah. No, absolutely. >> You know what I mean? I mean, if you think about it, really, though. >> Yeah. But >> Mr. Smith, >> so now So, >> Mr. Smith, what's Can I see your ID? >> Yeah. >> I mean, >> I mean, I'm not laughing. The guy died, man. >> He's like checking make sure. Yeah. All right. Yeah, we got it. Um, yeah. So, man, that happened quick. I mean, the guy, the cop was actually, like I said, he was waiting for a minute. He was trying to give him, they probably knew him and maybe they had runins with him before. You know what I mean? And so they were like trying to get his guns because he knew who he was. But even when Mr. Smith pulled it out, he still gave him a minute before he started shooting. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I feel >> he gave gave him a little bit of time and tried to tell him, "Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." And I think it happened so fast that even he didn't realize he was going to go for the gun. He handled pretty good though. >> And one of the things too is we see these videos often that these officers roll up >> single. You know, I know it's Bay County, maybe not a lot of uh a lot of folks there to help them out, but these officers need to definitely when they're going to a call that's a a person that >> is known to have a firearm because it was called in. Um you got to have a backup officer with you without a doubt. >> Let's get you've said this before. You do the same thing over and over, it becomes desensitized. Yeah. Right. Mr. Smith, how many times you think Mr. Smith might have been out to Piggly Wiggly? >> Yeah. >> And causing a thing and they had to go up and Mr. Smith was la and and this could have caught, you know, the police officer might thought it's just Mr. Smith. I'm go get his guns from him again. >> Piggly wiggly. >> Man, they might have one of those where I'm from. It got Piggly Wiggly. >> How about those bies? Those things are cool. >> Yeah, bro. That's That's the spot. That's like the Disneyland gas station. >> They're coming Southwest Florida. >> Yeah, George. I love when I cross. That's good. But listen, hey, again, I will tell you, we're going to have a lot more on this. I I will tell you, we're probably going to have a night live. Um we can come on and talk a little bit about the open carry, my thoughts on it. Uh, you know, I want people I'm all Second Amendment all the way. I want people to be able to carry guns, >> carrying concealed. Um, but the problem is is when you're, you know, you have that gun displayed and it's open carry, it does take away that element of surprise. You might you might lose your opportunity if you need it. >> Well, yeah. And in this case, you know, he had his guns out. What was the >> Yeah. >> You mean like he was concealing them? >> Yeah. No, no conceal here. But he was called there because they were out. >> Yeah. So, well, somebody called Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith looked like he' been sweating. He's walking in the heat. >> Mr. Smith looked like he got had a rough day. He's probably got some mental illness for sure. >> I'll show that guy how to jump on that car, though. >> Yeah, get it. >> Jump on that car. >> Dave, you're really, you know, you like you're I've don't know if you I don't know if you can do those hurdles and you know, in the PE class anymore like you did back. >> You ever climbed to the top of the rope? >> Yeah, I did. >> I never made it to the top. >> I'm not going to lie to you right now. >> Touch touch the gym ceiling. >> True story, bud. Trying to get top of the rope. Kid made fun of me. I beat the heck out of him. I couldn't get top road, but I whooped the kid who could. >> Well, they had knots. Did you have the one with the >> No, ours was straight up, but we couldn't afford knots in my neighborhood. >> Only knots they had was a dope dealer's pocket down the block. >> And the knots you put on the poor kid's head >> and I nodded his head. That's right. I could never get to the top, man. I'm I had a lot of body weight. >> Hey, remember, keep watching these videos. They're either here or there. Copic con. Spread it out. >> Like, subscribe, share. We appreciate everybody. Yeah, we're out. [Music]
