encounters with individuals who let ignorance and Prejudice take the spotlight January 17th 2023 a day that began like any other but quickly spiraled into chaos inside a bustling restaurant at the airport 28-year-old Jennifer holder attempted to leave without paying her bill but what started as an alleged dine and dash soon escalated into something far more dangerous as holder tried to make her Escape she grabbed a fire extinguisher transforming a common safety tool into a potential weapon with the extinguisher in hand she marched through the airport terminal creating a scene of utter chaos don't touch me I want to touch you the woman was charged with two counts of simple assault three counts of battery and one count of obstructing Law Enforcement Officers a reckless actions resulted in a hefty fine of $119,500 on September 21st 2023 airport officers were called to a restaurant after reports of a fight broke out but what they uncovered went far beyond a simple altercation the suspect had vandalized multiple businesses spat on an individual and even struck an elderly woman with a closed fist leaving her with a minor lesser What followed was an investigation into an alarming display games here after a 10-minute search officers finally located the suspect seated in the waiting area near one of the gates before approaching her they took the time to consult with the victims asking if they wish to press charges for the assault and vandalism when the victims declined to pursue charges the officers made the decision to proceed with taking the suspect into custody you going to walk at the airport the woman was ultimately charged with a series of offenses including elder abuse for striking the elderly woman assaulting a first responder during the altercation resisting arrest as officers attempted to take her into custody disorderly conduct for her disruptive behavior and vandalism for the damage she caused to multiple businesses these charges painted a clear picture of the severity of her actions and the chaos she had Unleashed that day officers were called to a Target store after reports of a disorderly Male inside the business yelling racial SL at guests the caller also mentioned that the suspect had made disturbing comments claiming he was suicidal and intended to harm himself what's going on my man I'm looking at the United States Navy bet I'm looking for those little mobility scooters okay um hold on just a second okay will you hold on yeah yeah hold on just a second okay so uh they're telling me that y'all had an incident in the back where you were who was standing near the front door officers made contact with the suspect identified as Hank and began assessing the situation trying to understand what had led to the Outburst five out of Texas you want to see my to no I'm okay um you're with a yes sir A's car do you know uh Appling sounds familiar she's in the jail I don't said that would be you know John John Q Williams yeah he's the sheriff at for that would be I'm so I'm a um how long you been with them about two years but I'm a county like a County police not I'm not a sheriff's deputy so y all have so many different types of police we do we do so you don't work for the sheriff's department no I work Clark County Police Department there's such a thing yep Clark County Police is this Clark County yeah this is not an incorporated no it's not a city no I have jurisdiction in all of Clark County though yeah yeah but is this a city at all no we're outside of the city limits I believe oh that's why you're here what do you mean well racial slur Hank then screamed the slur again and defiantly challenged the officer saying if you don't like it take me to jail he continued with more racial slurs even directing one towards another [Applause] officer who's our caller and do they want them B no you're going to stand right here despite repeated warnings from officers to stop using the slurs especially in the presence of children and pedestrians Hank refused to complain why his behavior became more disruptive and threatening leading officers to place him into handcuffs for disorderly conduct are any of you authorized representative store so you can bar somebody I need one of you to do so please he just spit in my face oh okay on top of [Music] that police brutality police brutality I got my stuff in there too I got a chair and a phone charges police brutality have a seat wait police brutality I'm going to search real quick you search him okay if you spit on my officer again we're going to add an additional charge you understand that do you police brutality I just need one person to tell him that he's barred from the store and how long for we repres we recognize up to 2 years so I need any representative down after being handcuffed the situation took an even more disturbing turn as an officer stood to the right of Hank waiting for Target employee to inform the suspect he was banned from the property Hank turned and spat directly into the officer's face hitting his left eye the officer was struck by the spit which added another charge to the suspect's list of offenses hey Captain this lovely gentleman just spit in h officer Young's face I'm going to get my hand sanitized so he's spit mask for now I got some hand sanitizer I'm wipe my face off withing does he have any other property that needs to go with him's AAG andair there don't know where where in the store is it I'll go grab that yeah that's fine I just I just need to get him out of here yeah if you will um we can log his stuff in property that's what I was going going to say I I'll submit it into evidence for property hey Shane hey oh we're taking him he just spit in uh Young's face so he's going I'm just going to get an eyeball of um yeah you might look and see if you've dealt with him before everybody else has the six call on him in uh a month so all right now I know what he looks like okay looks like to hey there placed over his head for safety he was then transported to the county jail where he would face charges for his actions the suspect was booked on charges of simple battery on a law enforcement officer for spitting in the officer's face as well as disorderly conduct for his racial slurs and disruptive behavior
