Let's walk through the car. >> He's got four prongs in him. >> What's that? >> He's got four prongs in him, so he'll just have >> What's that? >> Did you get hurt at all? >> I got a little cut on the hand, but I think that's just from taking him into custody. So, okay. Um, what's this? Is it a DUI, you think? >> Oh, it's a DYU for sure. Okay. >> Yeah. He was not not listening to any commands. He was super slurred in the speech. >> And there's driving offs, too. He was all over the road. >> Okay. Initially, you got called out to a DUI, right? >> They're all good. Great [ __ ] job. Great job on the call out and everything, but I want to make sure you're [music] okay. You want you want to get checked out or you okay? >> I mean, just a little alcohol swab to clean it up and I think I'll be good. >> Um, so Is the kid okay? >> Yeah, she's >> her jaw is running a little bit, but she was in a belt, so she probably >> Hey guys, >> what's up? >> You good? >> I'm good. >> What do you need from us? >> Uh, right now probably just traffic control. I think we're still working on getting in touch with the mother of the little one. Medics are checking him out right now. He's got four taser pines in him and then he's probably deuce. >> Okay, cool. >> Jeffrey, how do we get in touch with little girl's mom? >> Do you know a phone number off the top of your head? >> She's probably at uh work. >> Okay, that doesn't matter right now. >> Where does she work? >> Um she just started a job at the hair salon in Hillsburg. >> The hair salon? Is that what it's called? >> So you think she's over there now? >> Um she should be there. You know what the place is called? >> Thanks, bro. >> If you guys aren't able to get through, is there a local address we can go and try to make contact for you guys on the mall? >> Um, do we have a any luck getting the mom or is it somewhere where his mom right here? >> Okay. She answering >> No, she's not going to voicemail. Do we have an address here? We can still make a lot more. No, not yet. Work said she's currently at work. >> I think we're Oh, no, we don't. Actually, I was just going to say we were going to wait till CP got here. So, but no, we have nothing started yet. >> I can start. >> Yeah, start that one and then uh >> only vehicle. >> Only vehicle. >> Okay, sweet. And then there's transport. >> No, suspect's in the back of my car. He's deuce. >> Um little girl's right there. >> I think she's fine. >> All right. >> But yeah, those are the only two occupants. >> All right. business driver. >> Yeah. So, totally up to you guys how you want to do this because we're I'm obviously taking the pursuit child endangerment. >> Uh I assume you guys are going to take the crash. Do you guys want to take the deuce? >> Uh no, I'm taking the deuce cuz he's so we're just taking the crash. That's all we're taking. >> And the 180 obviously I just want to talk to him if he's willing to talk about the crash itself. >> But who was the one chasing him? >> Okay. We haven't made that. >> You have not. >> Not yet. >> Okay. Yeah. So, wait to do that before I can. Um, okay. So, what what happened essentially? >> So, we got called uh 911 for a possible Duke driver at the main intersection in town. Uh, I showed up, located the vehicle, sit at a red light, popped in behind it, followed it for about two blocks, had uh driving in the um in the bike lane on the right shoulder and also has no back plates. So, I lit it up and then chase was on. It was a slow speed averaging anywhere between 20 to 40 mph from here all the way back to the main intersection. So, >> and you guys where do you where do you originally see that? >> Is he aggressive? Well, you know, I haven't seen We'd have to check with this officer >> just so I can see his So, you asking if he was >> he was he aggressively like I'm just trying to think about cerebrally whether it was >> Let me let me ask him. >> Yeah, his sugars are a bit low. >> His sugar's low. >> Okay. >> Um, >> so he may have to go transport and treat him. >> Okay. Did he like did he fight or resist at all? >> No. I mean besides just tensing up when you went to go hands on that was it. >> Okay. >> Okay. Have a bit more. >> G of fat at 528. And you got no pain anywhere. No pain in the care. heavy abdomen. You're wearing your seat belt >> and you didn't black out the knob. >> So, we need to take another Would you prefer him not transported or you'd prefer him transported? >> I think at this point we'll we'll do the transport. It's going to probably require medical clearance anyways, but we still have we still got to do FSTs. >> Um we still got to question him and all that stuff. >> Yeah. >> Um he's 804. He's G15. His sugars are a bit low, but we're just giving him some oral, so they'll probably bring it up enough. >> Okay. >> Um, so with the taser, was just Was he aggressive that you know him? >> So he was when he finally boarded him out of the car at gunpoint, he was I was going tell him to go down to his stomach >> and he wasn't >> and he wasn't. Um, so after giving him a handful of commands, I just I let loose with the first two probes. >> They were ineffective. He wasn't immediately dropping. So then I sent another two and then that was a good connection and then it >> put him on his stomach >> and then he was trying to get up. >> My memory served me correctly. He was trying to get up again. So then I gave him another two or three like second >> drive stun. So >> so he had been called in as a drunk driver >> and then I followed him for a couple blocks, observed some driving observations and then he doesn't have a plate. So, I tried lighting him up back in downtown and then it was a slow speed pursuit anywhere between 20 to 40 mph up until this point. Uh, he almost wrecked out. >> Make me mad when you've got your child in the car like let alone everyone else at risk. >> We I was just going to do a normal high stop for my car and then he opened the door and he wasn't obeying commands and I couldn't see him, but I could hear I could hear a little kid screaming. So, I was like, "Fuck it. I'm just kidding. They're all here. >> Said they all belong right there. >> Yeah, for sure. It's my grandma. Did you ever get a name on this dude? >> His first name is Jeffrey. That's all I got. His DL is being passed around. I think the medic has it right now. >> Okay. >> He's out of Texas right now. >> Yeah. >> I'm still just letting the the medics and see if their thing. He might end up going to the hospital. >> Okay. But if possible, before we do that, if you think he's dee, let's let's go out of it. Then let's do a uh >> I don't know. They may take issue with you doing FSGS, but it'd be nice to do. >> I can at the very least I can do a stagn blood blood sugar or something. So might factor in. >> Okay. >> Um Jax is going to follow to the hospital to you guys facilitate mom getting there. Oh, perfect. >> Okay. So, yeah, mom is supposed to be calling me. Thank you for calling us. >> Hey, um I don't I I don't know how much information you have. Basically, uh we're we're out here in Sebastical investigating a car crash that involves your daughter. She's okay. >> Um but she I just wanted to let you know that she is now um as a precaution headed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in an ambulance. Yeah, she's not acting like she's injured. She's not acting like she's injured at all. Uh but it's more just more just uh you know for the sake of caution. >> Um >> yeah. Oh my god. >> So she who is she supposed to be with right now? >> Um she's with her dad. Um >> okay. So he >> he's here with us as well. >> What happened? >> Um well I we're still trying to sort through it but uh he crashed the truck and He's diabetic. He has type 1 diabetes. >> Okay. >> Um his sugar probably dropped really low. >> Okay. So, she's saying he's type 1 diabetic. >> Yeah. They said his blood sugar's at like 53. >> Yeah. So, that might explain it. Yeah. >> Cool. I'm out of here. Thank you. So, what are we at? Where we at here? Over here. >> I don't think this is a news. >> I think it's a diabetic issue. >> Yeah. From what I talked to mom, okay, >> she said he's type 1 diabetic >> and uh there is a court ordered custody arrangement. He's not supposed to have her right now. >> Um >> um he has a little blood thing on his arm or whatever. He said it wasn't operating correctly. >> I'll let him know that his blood sugar was tanking. He said he never saw my light. He said he never heard my siren. >> That's all consistent with that. >> It is. Yeah. So, >> so at this point I don't >> it's um >> he's got all the signs that >> explore the uh option or explore the child custody thing. >> Yeah. >> Um >> find out run 26 on him and then provide I'll provide her the uh mom's information and see if there's that if we can find that court order and see if it says that he's not supposed there's a arrest for that. >> But the thing is we're going to have to sit with him now. Nobody has told him he's under arrest. >> Has he been morirandized? >> He's been morirandized and you didn't answer any question. >> Okay. >> Did you ask him any of the uh FST stuff? >> So, are you hearing what um where we're at with this? >> Nope. >> This guy is diabetic. >> Yeah, I know. I heard you. >> Probably not a deuce. It's probably a diabetic issue. >> Let's see. >> He's saying that he doesn't didn't see lights. He didn't know we were trying to stop him. He didn't He thought there was something wrong with the car. So we we we'll do the whole FST, you know, investigation thing. Get blood taken. >> I talked to mom. >> She said um he's type 1 diabetic. When I told her he was in a crash, she said, "Oh no, he's he's a diabetic and he might have >> Yeah. And it could very well be. I heard the number. He's got showing up. I heard the gout. >> So it absolutely." >> The other thing is he's not supposed to have daughter right now. There's a court order with child custody arrangement and he's violating that. >> So So and the other thing is diabetic fits like that. Yeah. >> Everyone I've been in, they're shortlived before the blackout, >> which mean you said he was unresponsive when you pulled them over. Yeah. >> You weren't getting anything from >> So that could have happened. But the travel from downtown to here, the highest rate of about 30 mph, mostly between 20 and 30. >> That's an awful long time because the diabetic uh episode can be induced because of the alcohol you ingested, too. Um, so work the uh the DUI and the child endangerment and the pursuit and all that aspect, but but see if we can do FSTs with them. >> Okay. >> They're going to probably want to take him to hospital. >> They're okay with releasing him. Okay. >> But I figured we take him anyways. >> He won't be able to go to jail until he's medically clear. So if it goes that route and we take him to jail, >> then it's going to be uh he'll go to the hospital anyway. job as far as the phenomenal job of the call out. >> I mean notifying you about the tasine. >> Yeah. >> Um and I'll run up on that >> being unresponsive getting you know >> like if it's a diabetic thing how do we you know how do we stick a 2800 on how do we stick a 148 on them >> right the pursuit and yeah we don't and we can we articulate that. >> This is why we did it he was aggressively resisting and blah blah blah blah blah we just put what we saw. >> Yeah. And then at the end of the day, well, this was a diabetic episode. >> Okay. I wonder about doing >> it displayed totally different when I had to do with my training. >> Well, they look the same from behind when you're traveling behind them. They look like the same thing. >> There was no uh measures you could take to stop them. We did. It was a great job. Called out very well. Um I loved it. >> Yeah. Hey, Forest. What does it look like from a investigation standpoint here? Does it look like he's high or >> he's got a little nestagmus um prior to 45°? So, but does that also present a diabetic? It could. I don't know. >> It could. I don't think so. But it could. But again, the these things a wide array of things could happen. >> Working all day, not eating. >> It would be prudent to get a PZ and uh or a voluntary blood sample. >> Yeah, you already consent to pass. >> Yeah. >> Get that going. And I don't have the pit here with me, but >> Well, we explained to him that he's diabetic. It would be in his best interest to give us blood. We can we can order that. >> Yeah. >> Based on what we saw, >> it seems like he's cooperative with you, right? So, yeah. So, >> and they're going to take blood there anyway. We just got to get it. >> Yeah. >> Cuz they got to know what he's what he's going through as far as medical. >> So, and they're allowing us to transport to the hospital. >> Okay. I don't mean to get done what you need to get done, but you got to get going cuz I don't want him have another episode in the back of the car of his diabetic. Good point. >> Do you enjoy our videos?
