Officer Oscar Morga was arrested in July 2022 after being found driving his marked patrol car while allegedly nearly five times over Florida's legal alcohol limit with reported breathalyzer readings of 0.391 and 0.385. Following the arrest, he was relieved of his uniform, weapons, and patrol vehicle and placed on administrative leave before later being suspended without pay. Court records show that in 2023 he was found guilty of DUI and sentenced to 12 months of probation. However, public reporting does not clearly state what ultimately happened to his job. No confirmed information has been released about whether he was reinstated, terminated, or disciplined further by his department beyond the initial suspension.
