That's Jesus. On April 4th, 2025, around 5:30 p.m. in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, an Ohio State Trooper was flagged down about a man running along the turnpike's breakdown lane. The trooper soon found 30-year-old Deshaawn Leath near a flipped vehicle by the state line. Likely disoriented under the influence or having a mental health crisis, Leath turned combative. The taser failed, a violent struggle followed and Leath overpowered the trooper, knocking off his body cam. After fleeing the scene, he stole the trooper's cruiser and led police on a wild chase, talking to Jesus and about flag football the entire time. It all ended when he crashed and flipped the stolen cruiser in North Sewickley while still ranting upside down in the wreckage. Deshawn Dante Leath was fatally shot by Pennsylvania State Police on April 4th, 2025 after crashing a stolen Ohio State Highway Patrol vehicle on the turnpike. Leath was the founder and executive director of Underdog Nation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth in Washington County affected by community violence. Despite his community efforts, Leath had a lengthy criminal history. He was first imprisoned at 18 following a home invasion conviction and served 3 years from 2012 to 2015, later returning to prison for a second term.
