And >> so, did she did she physically touch you? >> Her friend Delena, >> she slapped me twice. I don't want to press charges or nothing. It was just an over dramatic thing like where she got too stimulated and >> that's the way she lashed out. >> Do you mind if I flash a light just to make sure any red marks, bruising, anything like that >> right here? >> I don't know if it's gone or not. >> A tiny bit ofness. >> We're just wanted to make sure in case there's any, you know, bruising, abrasion, anything like that. You mind if I touch you real quick? >> No, you're good. >> There's some redness right here. Hope you feel where my finger is. I don't know if that's where she came in contact with you or not. >> No, it was like right here and like right here. But none of it hurt. Nothing. I don't want to press charges on none of them. I mean, >> I think all of this is just very stupid. >> Mhm. >> Can't have a simple conversation. >> No, I completely understand. Make any threatening movements, anything like that? >> Not that I remember. No, nothing threatening. >> Mhm. Nothing that would make you feel like you were going to receive harm of any kind. [Music] >> Nothing like that. Nothing said again. I'm just reasking to make sure nothing was said. It's >> kind of cold out here. I'm shaking. >> No, I understand. Hey, it's a very high tense situation right now, right? >> She opened the door. I told her I wasn't going to leave cuz I wanted to grab all of my other stuff which is still in the in the house. >> Yeah. >> And so she said, "Get the out." I said, "No." And she started raising her for her voice more. >> I was just like, "No, I'm still trying to grab my stuff or whatnot." And then so I had grabbed her wrist. I moved it and that's about it. That's I didn't >> That's all the kind of I didn't like Nothing Uber. >> I had ordered an Uber. >> Is that it? Is this the other one or is this a prince? >> Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy sheriff, patrol sergeant and canine handler. Sometimes when we get calls in law enforcement, we are provided bad information, minimal information, information that's completely fabricated or not entirely true. So when we show up to these scenes, we kind of just have to do the best with the information we are provided and try to investigate it and figure out what's going on. So in this situation here, you just need to talk to these two girls, the guy that's there, everybody involved in the situation at that location, and then maybe recont via telephone the reporting party, the person that had called this in to begin with and see what is actually going on with this knife situation. But it almost sounds like it was not as reported. No egregious crimes actually occurred. There was nobody that got stabbed or threatened with a knife. There was no domestic violence or anything like that. And these two girls were being very cooperative upfront when this initially transpired. Now, that one girl that's screaming the entire time about probable cause, badge numbers, and supervisors, she actually is correct regarding that warrant situation where they are under the impression these cops are going to go into their residence to search through it. She is correct. They would need a warrant in this circumstance in order to do that. They can't just go in there and start searching through their belongings. There is no exigency. That being said, screaming and demanding for a badge number and a supervisor is never going to get anybody anywhere. It never has and it never will. Just because somebody demands a supervisor doesn't mean that as a cop you have to get your supervisor to the scene. It's also not going to do you any good. And the badge number situation is also silly because what are you going to do with that information on scene? You're not going to do anything with it. also the badge number and the officer's name. All these officers, their information is going to be in the report and that will be made available to you or to these people in this situation. And it didn't even look like this officer was going in to search the room. He asked her if he could go inside. She said no. And then he was kind of just standing in the doorway in the threshold. But for whatever reason, these two girls felt that they were going to go inside and search through their stuff. And I'm not entirely sure why they decided to ultimately detain that one girl, Lacy, and put her in handcuffs and then take her to the patrol car. Yes, she was screaming, but she wasn't actively, but it sounds like no crime had been committed up until that point. So, instead of kind of taking her to the side to try to calm her down and explain the situation, these officers on scene, I wasn't there, decided to put her in handcuffs. Once her friend decided to get in the way of that and interrupt and try to interfere, then yeah, she is committing a crime of obstruction, even if placing her friend Lacy in handcuffs as a detainment wasn't the best idea at the time. If officers are going to choose to do that, you still can't interfere with that. But either way, in my opinion, none of this needed to get to that point. And that's going to be it for this one. See you guys in the next one. >> The girlfriend was charged with obstruction and simple battery on a law enforcement officer. Her cousin was charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence and simple battery on a law enforcement officer. [Music] [Music]
