[Applause] >> On August 21st, 2022, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Lada County Deputy Darren Duke was monitoring traffic along the Pullman Moscow Highway, which links Pullman, Washington, and Moscow, Idaho. During his patrol, he clocked a white vehicle traveling 42 mph in a 35 mph zone. Upon initiating a traffic stop, Deputy Duke identified the driver as Brian Cobberger. Cobberger was cited for not wearing a seat belt and given a warning for speeding. At the time, this stop seemed routine, just another late night traffic violation. However, in hindsight, it would gain chilling significance. This incident occurred less than three months before Coberger brutally murdered four University of Idaho students, Kaylee Gonovs, Madison Mogan, Zanna Kernodal, and Ethan Chapen. Here is the new, never-before-seen footage of convicted murderer Brian Cobberger at a traffic stop in Idaho just 3 months before he killed the four University of Idaho students. Police stopped Brian Coberger on his way to Moscow and prosecutors were going to use this video to link him to his white Hyundai Elantre, a crucial piece of evidence in the case. >> Farm with Pennsylvania Lincoln Frank zebra 8649. Not a huge deal, but uh yeah, be right back. [Applause] This video became a key evidence in establishing that Kobberger was frequently traveling to Moscow. It raises unsettling questions. What was he really doing that night? Was he simply scouting the area and his future victims? Or was he possibly on his way to carry out the murders only to delay his plans after being pulled over? It's a chilling thought that lingers. Lights out three time code for air strike Washington.
