after staff reported a woman attempting to open an account under a false identity when confronted by authorities the woman offered a desperate explanation claiming she was fleeing from someone and needed a new identity despite her plea officers initiated an investigation into the suspicious activity excuse me man name Steph R for Sheriff's Office do my new stand inform me real quick at this time you're not under arrest you're just being detained until we can further investigate what's going on can you turn around put your hand behind your back please um can I a to my face no right now we'll give you an opportunity just a second okay thank thank you you want to take for me uh at this time they have reason to believe that you're um attempting to open a fraudulent account um I'm here to investigate that once my investigation's through we'll try to determine what to do from there okay um but that's just what's there uh we're going to wait here until my backup comes and then we'll we went to Qui trip that's where met and he drove around they told me about the ID or whatever and then he said you could open one right there region that account What car what car that he was in unfortunately the vehicle is going to be told okay yeah uh you're in custody play therefore we have to vle you saying there's other documents that he gave you in there yeah he gave me like a package where's that pack it's in there front seat back seat um I don't know I kind of just like out through everything somewhere he gave me multiple so that like if I wasn't able to again was he in the area waiting for you no are you supposed to no you just said you should be able to with that then I was just supposed to take the car look for a package in there as well she mentioned that uh she was given some before she came down here should have documents her do the skin stuff should be a package with uh other IDs and other she said other items and documents that are related to this uh 13 oh not be with this uh yes at some point we will assist some but obviously things that have to so if you want to go through that rest there's another card in there okay is it in the wallet or goes without okay should be in this one M see it not yet but what's the name on it that that one same one that the only extra idea you had in your wallets and stuff and then there gave me a package okay okay I'm not we'll uh try to get you out of here get you over to our County Jail um when you get there make sure to get any phone numbers you need out phone I was asking if I could do that because my phone was arrested is uh entitled the right to go see first appearance judge so uh is it today Thursday so we'll probably see the judge tomorrow around I think they changed it to the morning so around 9 o' in the morning give or take something like that go Saturday CU I know that I've heard that like if you get locked up on the weekend you don't see anybody till next week no no so it'll be either tomorrow our our jail is pretty quick um it's like a requirement that once you get in there and we get all the charging documents um you're supposed to go see the judge pretty much immediately so either be tomorrow morning if not at the very latest Saturday morning um they'll go over your charges we'll see if you get a bond or not um which is stuff like final B yeah and that's why you know when you write down your phone numbers that's how you bond out so now you get all the numbers you can on your phone call people drive is tell yeah listen I mean I can't give you any legal advice but you you know you plead your case on what's going on so what he has going on but I don't what do y need me check to talk to y'all about it hey you're more than welcome um yeah if you don't mind me asking what so he was doing this he got you the ID and everything um and you may want to tell has like something going on okay because I have one of the things in the package he gave me came with a card already okay so that's why I was like that's kind of weird well I guess my question is um what so he does this for you what exact and you may just want to tell the detectives this you don't have to tell me um what exactly did what are you doing for him for him to do nothing he's just helping you out I asked that I think he just kind of used my face okay all right and I think he was trying to like get me to do a little more just but get out the way what I needed which was just to have an ID and be able to have an account gotcha with a different ID so that I don't have any like he can't call my TRS to account and see where I'm at type thing okay all right that's all that's all I ask for now with the detectives asking the other questions done I don't know how like oh you got you now you do this for me right oh yeah I was wondering was going to go there's been talks like if I wanted to work I said like you know cuz I sell candles and stuff so okay I was like yeah I'm looking for a job I don't want a job under as gotta it's like we we'll talk about go handle your business like okay so that's the rental say the rental company get do y'all keep my stuff we inventory it so if it's all if it's all your property we have to inventory it we can't unless it's related to the crime and I'm saying this with a grain of salt but unless it's related to the crime we can't really seize it right it's still everything else purses phones whatever if it's not related to that crime you can't seee it so it's yours it gets held for amount of time not mine like the car if it's not yours and I mean we impound it and then um we contact who we need to contact but um I mean that's wait way down the road so so they just probably just won't get their car back on time until yeah the rental company most likely not um honestly I don't know but most likely that's going to be the case did you know what time it had to be kind of I'm just wanted like can y'all just take my stuff out of car leave the car to like having two separate situations so that if anything I could just get my stuff in the car and stay and there's no rental agreement paper or anything in there or for that is in the like in the glove box or something they probably have their where it's from okay and their insurance gotcha our supervisor our security person just to ask that when the detectives get here if they could call her white Tesla and they drove around just around and then they rented that vehicle out there and she came back here actual this is her actual those are my IDs that he oh yeah he he got the on from the car one is my mom's old address the 100 my okay all right so these are detectives are going to ask you some questions right my name is Jake this is detective W um really want to talk to you um we like talk you up the precin police station if that's fine with you okay you willing to do that yeah okay um we're going to finish up with some stuff uh outside real quick um and then we'll arrange to get you transport up there we'll talk for a little bit okay all right I appreciate it thank you so are you kind of have you seen a situation like before few times usually we don't catch them H usually it's harder to you see you guys are already gone by the time you show up but I've seen it a few times you see in this area I'm saying like I just want to get out how like much is the bond cuz we're talking about frauds so it's most likely going to be I'm not mistaken a felony but I'll have to double check on on that Fones for something like this couple Grand something like that um and it just depends on was she the only well I W ask any more questions related to it CU you've mentioned a lawyer anyway need yeah so it's just going to depend on whether or not that's going to be charged by charge by charge or if they're just going to do in one Fell Swoop or or what so um like usually our bonding companies take 10 to 15% of whatever the judge puts on the warrant so but if you bond out using cash you don't need a cosigner if you have someone to come and do it with cash but if you use a Bonding Company you do need a cosigner so um I may have to be of a certain age as well that's has the whole thing if you find out cash right right so phone free yeah yeah phone's free get as many phot calls as you like as long as you basically uh jail staff's pretty cool um if you're just cool with them if you're respectful like you were with us just go in there um can be somewhat of a lengthy process there are a lot of people that get arested every day but you get through the process after you get fingerprinted they'll let you usually let you on the phone for as long as you like Bing any big incidents that happen so now I'm yeah get out of here and when you get to jail I mean I know I gave you that number but you'll be able to write them down yourself so just say hey can I look at my phone let me get all the phone numbers that I I want out of here should be good to go that's that's the tools for the house I'm working on I don't want them oh okay to take those gotta take everything that that man gave me and everything that he to I was nervous so if you like drove me around I guess I can't tell you he he drove you around cuz he just drove me around tell me we'll try to make me feel comfortable okay and then went a quick trip he drove somewhere else the bathroom right there you should be able to get a bank account he said when you're done hit me up so you can take the car back and then just Uber home gotcha so my my brain is like y'all come up here answer this phone when
