On July 7th, 2021, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Lee County Port Authority responded to a disruptive passenger incident at Southwest Florida International Airport. The call involved a Delta Airlines flight at gate C8. The passenger, later identified as 23-year-old Adelaide Gabriel Shrowing of Sarasota, Florida, was reportedly exhibiting erratic behavior and repeatedly refused to wear a mask when instructed. According to flight staff, she was also disruptive toward the crew and was witnessed spitting at other passengers. This body cam footage captures the incident as it unfolded, and as you'll see, her behavior escalates further, ultimately turning the situation into a spectacle. As the officer makes his way down the aisle, you can feel the tension in the air. Passengers are visibly frustrated, their faces etched with irritation. One disruptive individual is delaying the entire flight. And with everyone already on edge due to the strange uncertain atmosphere of the co era, patience is wearing thin. The inconvenience isn't just annoying. It's personal as travelers face missed connections, ruined plans, and yet another reminder of how unpredictable flying had become. >> We used to put her mask on when she came on and gave her an attitude. She kept sending it on her. >> You guys want her off the plane? >> She was spitting at people. >> Okay. So, she definitely want off the plane, right? >> Okay. You're going to just stay behind me cuz I need you to ask her to get off the plane cuz you're the represent of the airline. And then if she refuses, I'll take it from there. >> Real quick, if you're enjoying this video, please hit that like button and subscribe. So, you as a cop should have to honor that. >> No, you should though. You should have to honor that. That's my right. Go talk to a doctor. Tell him we need to rule. >> It really is. Don't touch my right. Like you need to No, we're getting to the point where you're not expect you're not respecting my human rights as a constitution. [Applause] >> That's not true. >> I didn't do anything that did anything. >> No. >> The officer had clearly reached his limit with Adelaide Gabriel Schroing's antics. But fortunately, this time they didn't have to go through the usual hassle of deboarding the entire plane just to remove one unruly passenger. In a rare stroke of luck, the situation was handled before it escalated into a full-blown evacuation against the wall. >> You're going to pass my handcuffs. Okay. >> I didn't do anything wrong. >> We We tried talking to you. >> No, you you really didn't. I talked back to you and I was calm and you honestly acknowledged me for a moment and then you didn't. >> Keep your hands there. >> Why did you do that? >> Like that. >> You didn't have to do that like that. As the plane sat idle at the gate, she defiantly refused to wear a mask, clashed with flight attendants, and even spat at fellow passengers, igniting chaos in the cabin. The captain had seen enough and ordered her off the flight, but Shroang wasn't going anywhere. When officers arrived to escort her out, she dug in, shouting and refusing to cooperate. That's when things escalated. Police were forced to restrain her, slap on the cuffs, and physically remove her from the aircraft. But the drama didn't end there. Shuang remained disruptive while being transported to Lee County Jail, continuing her outburst during the booking process, as you're about to witness next. >> Second, we'll get you out in a minute. I'm just checking your status. Are you still on? [Music] I have no I literally did nothing. I have no [ __ ] You have no right. Like, can you tell me what [ __ ] you judge for? You going to behave in here? >> Yeah, she's been It's been a lot of talk. I had to pull her off an aircraft. So, I don't know how she's gonna act now, but she's been chirping the whole time. So, we'll see how it goes. >> All right. Step out. Are you going to comply with >> you two? Yes. Not with you. Cuz you're a liar. No. He said he literally the reason he has me arrested right now ising lies. You You looked at me in my eyeballs. I looked at you outside of the plane before I ever went in there. You didn't have masks on. No. Can I say something before anybody takes me out so that I can just say what I have to say and then I can say what I have to say and then that's I I will I will do what y'all want me to do because I'm here now. >> Okay. >> No, no, it's I don't get it doesn't matter about that. My mother's a social worker and you're about to like really because I you you made eye contact with me before I ever got on that plane. You acknowledged the fact that you weren't wearing a mask. Hey >> and then you got on the plane and then you made eye contact with me and then you manipulated the situation. No, that's what happened. Like I'm sorry that's what happened. So >> I know the >> here. Let me get your temperature at least. >> Anybody? No. No. We're just going to take >> No, I'm comp I'm not not complaining. You guys think y'all just >> Oh, you think he's cute? Oh, yeah. I thought he was cute, too. I thought he was cute, too. I looked in his eyeballs and I thought he looked into my eyeballs and then he abused that. >> Hello. Um, >> yeah. >> What's your name? >> Come on. >> Um, this is interference. No, seriously. Please just get somebody listening to you. What's your name? >> Gabriel. I don't want to tell you anything. So I'm not saying that I am being arrested for things that are just I was on an airplane. I was doing nothing. I'm speaking >> my mind. I should not be arrested right now. >> But right now you we have to follow procedures and we'll >> you are you're not following my right procedures. Okay. But I need to follow your perceived right. Step out. >> Take your leg out. >> Would you Can I have your name, please? First, can we just adopt something that makes me want to be safe? >> Adelaide Shroang faced serious consequences for her in-flight meltdown. She was charged with resisting an officer, trespassing, and interference with aircraft operations. Charges that landed her behind bars on a $65,000 bond. In March 2022, Shroen pleaded no contest to resisting without violence in trespassing. The court handed down a sentence of 6 months probation and 16 days in jail. Though her time behind bars was credited as already served. But the punishment didn't stop there. Her probation came with strings attached. A mandatory psychiatric evaluation, a ban on alcohol and illegal drugs, random drug testing, and the requirement to pay court and attorney fees. It was a costly and humbling outcome to a disruptive outburst that began on a runway and ended in a jail cell. And if you found this video compelling, please like and subscribe to our channel.
