I like to hunt. I like to fly fish. I like to go snowboarding. There's no way somebody made it out of that. So, we're going code three. Seeing a lot of smoke to a structure fire fully engulfed up in Pinetop. Said that there is a female trapped inside of the house. We have one deputy who just arrived on scene. We're going to see what we can do. Uh fire department's probably almost on scene also. 4397 All right, yeah, let's get back. Not sure if fire is taking care of this. Can we work on getting hold of Unisource, the gas company up here? Yeah, dude, it's not good. But biggest thing is keep this from spreading. Yeah. Have you seen it yet? Yeah, it's going to be a fatality. There's no way somebody made it out of that. The whole porch was on fire already. She didn't make it out. What the What on the porch? could have Oh, electrical? They said they don't know. They woke up and it was like on fire. Like on fire. He's there. He's They're out worse. He's Where is he at? Ambulance. Smoke inhalation. Dude, it was Oh, you saw it from that side. It was crazy. They're I think they're in like their 70s. He said the guy said he woke up They woke up, ran downstairs, got outside. The whole porch is on fire. By the time he'd gotten out, she died. He was behind her. And then uh she was gone. was up? Yeah. She hit her head on something or something fell on her and or smoke inhalation and just fell but they haven't even made entry yet, but Unfortunately, the word we've gotten is uh occupant inside of the house didn't make it out, unfortunately, so our condolences go to them just cuz it's very preliminary at the moment. And uh not a lot is known as far as the origin or how it happened. Uh it's now an active crime scene, so uh essentially, it's going to be treated as an arson or anything else until proven otherwise, so we're going to start a perimeter and go from there. Um likely, we have some investigators coming out. The preliminary info he's got they've gotten is it started in the shed right here. Yeah. So, they don't know what but right there in that shed. I don't know what was in the shed. I know, like a lawnmower chemicals maybe? I mean, the heat transfer just literally like straight up heat transferred to the hair. It's wild. Yeah, look at that freaking It's crazy. It's about 12:30 in the morning we responded to a call regarding a structure fire over here in the country club area in Pinetop. Um it's a heavily wooded area, so upon arrival on scene um massive massive structure involved. Um one of our deputies was the first on scene before the fire department and uh made contact with somebody who was able to make it out of the house. Uh unfortunately, the other occupant did not make it out of the house. Um and basically, it's a complete loss right now. The investigation is in a preliminary stages. Uh what they believe at this point is that the fire started in a shed in the backyard somehow and it spread to the main structure. Um at this point, their fire department's is working on mopping up uh the structure, putting out the hot spots. It's probably going to be at least 5-6 more hours till they get it even cool enough to where they could go inside and unfortunately, retrieve the body. Um at this point, we're just holding down the crime scene. Uh we have our detectives coming out to investigate what was going on and the medical examiner or coroner is also en route. So, our condolences go to the to the family for their loss. And uh on the bright side, we're thankful for the fire department and everybody else that came out here and we're grateful that the fire didn't spread to any other properties. I mean, it's it's one thing I mean, we we respond to fires quite a bit, especially up here in the high country in the heavily wooded areas, but um just to hear on the radio and hear it another deputy on scene uh saying it's fully engulfed and there's somebody trapped inside, I mean, it definitely uh takes things to another level and yeah, by the time we got on scene, I mean, it's just crazy. I mean, from a half mile away, you can start seeing the orange the orange glow and the smoke and it just it's crazy and it it's nothing to mess around with. Fire is a real thing. And uh like I said, I mean, we're we're grateful that it didn't spread. We're we're grateful for it all the firefighters and paramedics and uh our condolences go to the family for their loss.
