County Sheriff's Office really the way I look at it is when you're proactive as an officer and you know your community and you care about your community um you're preventing kind of the next victim down the road and uh by taking you know one person off the street that doesn't need to be on there you're preventing the the next victim down the down the line hey how's it going guys hey not a insurance or's like a lapse in it a lot of people don't realize it so I'm just letting you guys know and then uh as long as everything else checks out just get you a warning okay do you have an ID just just cuz you're not wearing a seat belt man I'm not going to write you a ticket or anything I just took it off officer oh I don't have my ID on okay can I just grab your name so I can just put appreciate when people lie okay it's a crime to lie in Arizona to Cops okay yes okay so goad and just I'm going to actually have you sit down in my car okay yes sir okay you're not under arrest you're detained right now okay okay so go and have a seat okay so so what who are you my name is okay that's fine cfor you're from California yes why are we lying do we have warrants or what no so the reason why I'm lying is because on September 6th me and her had an argument but we're in love 43 1078 we are in love okay and um there was like a miscommunication I guess with the cops and it was all Bs forgive my language okay and I was incarcerated that night just got out the next day okay um the true reason is secure the true reason is Officer um I'm not supposed to be with her but she wouldn't let me go she blew my phone up and contacted me I lost my place of residence okay um I'm not supposed to go back to my place of residence um okay where where did this all happen at is this uh in White River McNary or Phoenix Phoenix okay so that's the only reason why you're tripping about it straight up like that's the only reason why you're tripping that's the only reason officer I appreciate you I'm I'm in love I was it's all right man I hey I've been reasonable right like I'm not treating you badly right I'm being cool right so I'm with her father I'm of no threat okay I'm a great person I don't okay when that's the only reason I lie you're fine hey I appreciate you coming clean okay I appreciate you coming clean okay when is your birthday sir the only reason why we're lying is because you have a court order from a domestic violence thing that says you can't be with her domestic violence what was it then uh disorderly conduct I'm going to search your real name okay I appreciate you being cool right now you're detained am I going to jail okay not right now no I app hey I appreciate you coming clean it doesn't mean you have to go to jail okay just put your feet in I'm going to type your real name up okay [Music] we're just figuring out what's going on okay if you could just keep an eye on them he's detained for false giving a fake name um he just wasn't wearing a seat belt so we're just going to give him a warning for not wearing a seat belt he gives us a fictitious name fictitious date of birth um kind of a lot of red flags uh you pick up on when you've been doing a little while when people give fake names said he had no sort of identification no wallet nothing on on him so um I let him know he had to legally identify himself told him to pull asked him to pull his phone up see if he had anything on there um and he pulled something up on his phone and it was a completely different name than what he was telling me multiple times so right now we're still trying to investigate who he actually is he's claiming the reason why he lied is cuz he's not supposed to be with his girlfriend who is the driver so we're going to try to get it all sorted out um at the moment he is attained and we'll go from there 243 can you copy one California please3 137 is sh ID card only so why is I know who he is now but why is he lying why is he lying about his name yeah I think he was just scared cuz you guys got in some type of altercation or something down in the valley area is what it was or yeah okay okay I mean I'm just in my opinion that's some kind of minor like to completely lie about and stuff you know scared okay and I to tell him to be honest you're trying to tell oh okay oh your dad back there okay gotcha well like I said like I'm not trying to give anybody a hard time but like when you when you've been doing the job a while you pick up on like when people are lying and give fake names so that's you know what I mean like that's why I kind of kept asking where I'm like okay it just keeps getting weirder and weirder he just kind of put himself in a bad spot he said I could look at the court order he said it's in his backpack so can I in the trunk our trunk is actually [Music] broken he has pictures on his phone of the Court thing yeah so you guys aren't supposed to be together is what you're telling me technically right technically it sounds like it was some sort of like domestic violence thing down in Phoenix right yeah okay so that's why you guys aren't supposed to be around each other right okay correct I don't have a picture of it I know that much okay here's where we're at okay so depending how it's interpreted that that was a felony you just committed okay listen listen though listen depending let me get through it okay right I've been straight with you right I haven't been disrespectful I've been straight I feel like I've been fair with you and I appreciate you for owning what you did okay appreciate you for owning it I can't just let you go with her okay because technically I'd be letting you like disobey a court order that a judge said okay so I'm not going to charge you with a felony okay okay is that fair yes sir I'm going to give you a misdemeanor charge of false reporting okay it's a misdemeanor and I'm going to jail I have to take you tonight okay okay what am I where am I going just a shell off that's it it's a misdemeanor more than likely you will be released as soon as morning hits I'm not going to hit you with the felony of all that other like taking identity of another and all that other stuff because you came clean okay a lot of other officers probably would okay I'm going to help you out by doing that I'm going to give you the misdemeanor charge can I talk to her before I go well technically you're not supposed to have contact with her just to tell her I love her this is the last time I can see her will be the last time you see her man just step out I'm going to search you cards my cards where are your cards at I believe they're by the door they'll stay in the car okay unless you want me to take them no that's fine will I get charged for having lead on me no I'm not going to not going to charge with that okay fair enough when I get out will I have my cigarettes to smoke or no no they won't accept these at the jail so I'm going to leave them in the car you're not even supposed to have them thank you but I'm going to leave them with the adult in the car okay you are a blessing I appreciate you coming clean cuz a lot of people don't do that so I appreciate you being straight up coming clean it was the right but no and I appreciate you taking accountability if you would have given me your true name more than likely I would would not have been able to see a court order if You' have given me your true name and your ID I would have gotten a return off there I would have seen that who you are you're not a wanted person nothing crazy like that and I would have sent you guys on your way with a warning like I said to begin with but now because of this we're in a much bigger mess than it even needs to be just because of this I'm taking you in but I'm not going to give you a felony okay all right there we go and I'm not going to charge you with the weed or the tobacco or any I could right I could but I'm not okay I'm not is that fair enough okay okay this is going to go for the adult okay this stuff that goes to you you do what you want with it cuz you're not 21 either right okay so he is under arrest for falsely identifying or false reporting by giving a completely fake name he's come clean I appreciate that so we're not having to go fingerprint him and stuff but he could technically be charged with a felony for taking the identity of another I'm not going to do that to him cuz he's come clean he's taking accountability for what he's did okay but it was just a stupid mistake okay and then hopefully going forward this will just be a learning lesson for him be a lot worse if he's getting a felony for this he'll get released in the morning first thing okay more than likely not the judge I can't guarantee it if you guys are going to
