Upon arrival, what they found was beyond the realms of ordinary. Allegations surfaced against 26-year-old Carlos Ruiz describing an altercation that spiraled out of control turning a domestic setting into a battleground. Ruiz purportedly hurled furniture and other objects towards a vulnerable 67-year-old victim, all of this occurring as a child stood nearby. Can y'all one second for me? You think? He was in my house. I don't know if that's recorded or not. But, and uh after he did that, that's when I walked to the door. I said, "I'm going to go outside." Okay. So, when I went to open the door, when I turned back around, that's when he hit me in MY JUNK. OKAY. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING? DO YOU WANT an ambulance or anything for your injuries? No, I don't I'm I mean I'm just asking. Right. I'm not that seriously hurt, but you know, I'm 67 years old. And I keep telling this stupid ass I'm a senior citizen. And then from what I understand the law said, when you assault a senior citizen, dumb ass, you can get anywhere from 6 to 30 years in the penitentiary. So, that's what you want. I asked him, I said, "Ain't you tired of being locked up?" "No, I like being locked up." So, okay. I'm going to help you. I'm going to go to court on this dumb ass. Okay. Cuz see, I came here to keep him from trying to hurt my kids, my great-grandson and my great-grand and my granddaughter. You see, it was some animosity. My wife passed away last year. My granddaughter asked me to come and stay with her. You know what I'm saying? I'm trying to be as helpful as I can. Is she here right now? She's at work. Okay. I keep son while she's at work.
