I'm not going to pull this. No, no, no. >> Back up. Back over there, kid. Ma'am, >> no. >> Put it down. >> Don't wait to take me out of the street. >> Just put it down. >> Put the weapon down. Wait. >> Atlanta's airport turned into a real life horror movie when a passenger decided to play a deadly game of tag with a knife. After stabbing her taxi driver three times, this [music] woman didn't just stop there. She ran inside to find more targets. It was a chaotic scene that left travelers terrified and officers scrambling to contain a moving threat. This wasn't just a travel delay. It was a full-blown emergency where every second mattered before someone else got hurt. >> Been hit three times. >> Okay. Where's the guy? Where's the perpetrator? >> It's a female. >> We don't know. Everybody's running around. >> Now, I'm not I'm going to keep this pressure on it. >> Yeah. Keep the pressure on. >> She hit him three times with a nice >> All right, we're good. You're good. Listen to me. Stay with me. >> All right. My name is Jimmy. Say my name. >> Say my name. That away. I think she went outside. Yeah, we got some music. >> How you feeling? >> I'm not No, I'm not going to move everything. >> Yeah, just let him stay hold with the person. >> My friend of mine is a medic. You know, I'm not going to I'm not going to pull this. >> No, he's doing good. >> You're You're You're doing good. You're You're with me. All right. You're with me. All right. Count to five for me. >> Count to five. >> Take shallow breath. You got this. Picked her up at the station. >> Yeah. >> Where did you >> And then how did you get inside? >> Nothing. There too much. Too much >> about the bridge. The big ridge the bridge area. She He shoot me. >> All right. I was going to need two medics. >> I think they ran out. They chased her outside. >> Did she get you? Did she get you? She had a knife. Hold on. Hold on. >> But I missed. >> Yeah. The scene at the curb was absolutely heartbreaking seeing the taxi driver bleeding out while a bystander desperately applied pressure. It was a miracle he was even conscious after being sliced up like that. The officers were frantically trying to get a description while the suspect was already deep inside the terminal. Things were about to get way more intense near the checkpoint. >> Hey, hey, hey. Back up. >> Back up. Back up. Little ma'am. >> No. >> Put it down. >> Don't wait to take me out in the street. >> JUST PUT IT DOWN. >> PUT THE WEAPON DOWN. >> PUT THE WEAPON DOWN, MA'AM. THAT THEY TRYING TO TAKE ME OUTSIDE. Listen to me now. I want to get him. >> We got him. All right. >> They trying to kill me. MY NAME IS BRENDA. BRENDA. >> HI, JAMARAS. MY NAME IS JAMAR. [clears throat] >> HEY, we got an officer stand here. We got an officer stand. >> Remember what I say. THEY TRYING TO KILL ME OUTSIDE OF HERE. >> Let's go. >> Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. >> Medic. Yeah, we got it. >> We got it. We got it. Affirmative. They going to try TO KILL ME TONIGHT. GLENNWOOD, TEXAS AREA FROM ORLANDO, FLORIDA. CARLOS MARTINEZ. CARLOS MARTINEZ. HE JUST GOT OUT OF PRISON. >> Shadow Miguel Moreni. >> Once they cornered her, the tension [music] was thick enough to cut with a well, you know, she was waving that blade around like she was starring in a low-budget horror movie. The officers were backing up, trying to keep the public safe, [music] but she seemed completely unhinged. She kept shouting for them to take her out. [music] Clearly looking for a final showdown. >> They trying to kill me. REMEMBER THIS. LISTEN TO ME. TRUST WHAT I SAY. THEY HOLDING ME DOWN SO I CAN'T BREATHE. STOP, MAN. AIN'T even moving, man. Stop. I ain't I ain't even moving. MY NAME IS BRENDA CARR. They took ALL THIS VIDEO [clears throat] AND TRYING TO MAKE ME SOMEBODY ELSE. TABITHA WILLIAMS. >> HEY, TELL ME I don't need no help. I don't know why they keep dragging me. What you need? Tell them what you need. David, how you doing? >> All right. >> How many bell keepers you roll? No. No. He's got He's got bellkeepers on. >> He's got bellkeepers on. >> I want to roll him. But as soon as you're done, I got you. You're good. Wait a second. Betty's coming. Sir, >> wipe my eye. >> Oh, wipe my eye. >> Wipe my eye. Please, please wipe my eye. There's a girl that was stabbed before me. >> There should be two. It sounds like one's down by the main checkpoint. So here outside our door as two by the main checkpoint. >> Hey, she's out OF THAT HANDCUFF. SHE'S OUT OF HAND. >> We got it. We got it. >> They finally managed to pin her down while she screamed her name like it was a get out of jail free card. She started shouting about people trying to kill her. weaving a conspiracy theory faster than the cops could cuff her. It was a classic case of the guilty dog barks the loudest and [music] she was definitely making sure the whole terminal heard HER [screaming] HAND. Give it a hand. >> BRING YOUR HAND OUT. Bring your hand. Bring your hand out. >> Bring it. Bring it. Give me THE HAND. >> WIPE MY EYES. >> DON'T BE ON HER. DON'T >> WAIT. WIPE MY ASS. PLEASE WIPE MY EYES. WIPE MY EYES. >> STAND BY. >> WHO GOT A TASER? >> WIPE MY ASS. THAT'S MY BROTHER. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. >> Okay, that's fine, man. We'll make stand up. >> LET it go. Pour some water on me. Please pour some water on me. Blow some water on me. Please. Please. Can you wipe my eyes out? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> Somebody stay with her. >> Somebody is trying to kill me. >> Wipe my eyes, please. This is burning. >> We're going to take care of >> I know. >> Who has her weapon secure? >> Wipe my eyes. >> Please, please take these clothes off me. Please don't do this. >> You want to take off his shirt? >> No, no, no. Under pressure. >> I'm I'm right at the wound. I'm right. >> Yeah, he's got three holes. I got got him covered. >> See, he's got the puncture one right here. >> And she's It's a small knife. >> Did they catch her? >> Yeah, they called her. >> They're going to take care of it. Can you fold that up? Help me. Hang in there. >> It was a messy situation that showed just how quickly a secure scene can turn back into a circus. While the suspect was busy playing the victim, the real victims were dealing with actual puncture wounds. The third victim, a Delta employee, recounted the terrifying moment she realized she had been slashed across the chest [music] just for standing at her post. >> This was uh what all happened out there. >> I need to show you. Tell me what happened like 246. >> So I was standing on post and I saw like her walking and I saw another officer falling behind her. >> So I had told my coworker like look like I think something going on. I turned my back. I saw one of the co-orkers like jump back. So I turned and I thought she swung on me and then my coworkers like she had a knife. I looked down and it was just like a little gray and I was like I thought my shirt and I went to the bathroom. >> Oh yeah. >> So you said the lady with the knife took a swing at you and it made contact in your chest area. >> Okay. It doesn't need a lot, but I think it also needs to be disinfected. >> We don't know what to shoot me. They going to shoot me right here. THEY GOING TO PUT THIS BLUE BAG OVER TO ME AND shoot me. >> Can I get some water, please? >> You're not going to die. >> Yes, I am. >> I'm dying. I'm about to die. >> Can I get some water? Stop doing that. >> Okay, breathe straight. Okay, let me just sit flat. Take this jacket off, please. Can you cut down? >> Can you cut the jack off? >> Cut it off, please. >> Please. Can I get some water? >> Yes, sir. Can I get some water? Please. Can I get some water? Please. Please. >> Put your head back. Stop talking. >> No. No. What is that? What is that? >> Water. Calm down. Put your head back. >> No, it's not. >> Put your head back. Yes, it is. >> No, it's not. That ain't no water. Purified water. Ma'am, I'm a short officer. I don't know about ma'am. >> Ma'am. >> Yes. >> Look at this. This is eyewashing. >> No, no, no. This [ __ ] burning. >> All right. Well, then I can't help you. >> I can't see. >> The drama continued as she insisted the eyewashing solution was burning her. The officer was basically done with her games at this point. She kept complaining about not being able to see, but that's the price you pay when you force police to use chemical agents. It was hard to feel any sympathy for her while the victims were headed to surgery. >> Okay. See, >> that's because there's chemical agent in your arms. >> Can you wipe it out for me, please? >> Do you want more in your face? >> No, sir. >> No. All right. That's the best I can do for you. Okay. That's just what I want to do. >> Those are all the ATM North. All right. >> Okay. But we got to go that way. You got to clear this area out. Okay. >> Clear this area out, please. All the way over that way, please. >> Go over there. You got to stay away from here. >> Y'all witnesses. >> Nothing. Okay. We can't hang out in Jay. Okay. >> Y'all got to keep going. >> Just walk her down there. >> Yeah. If you could get up underneath her other arm, we'll stand her up. We'll take her back down there. >> Grab me a wheelchair. Grab me a wheelchair. >> No. to play D. >> Grab me a wheelchair. Grab me a wheelchair. I can sit here and play this [ __ ] game. >> I'm burning. >> That's That's what OC does. >> There you go. 721. I'll take care of you. Okay. >> How old are you? >> 55. >> 55. And >> I told everybody I said, "Stop. Give me a description." >> Right. >> And then they gave me a description. And by then she was turning down the south hallway right where >> was got behind her first and then she walked through down by the restaurant there came down this hallway. He told her to drop the knife. She kept saying no. You're going to have to shoot me. You're going to have to shoot me like that. So we kept walking behind her. The young lady that's over there was standing right behind the ropes there and she just went like this. So right here he right here. Right there. So then was she? >> The officers recapped the chaos and it sounded like a comedy of errors. They were admitting to missing taser shots and stumbling around while the suspect was busy pouncing on people. It should have been attempted murder charges from the jump, [music] but the officers were just relieved they finally managed to keep her on the floor before it got even uglier. >> So when she went like that, I I tried to tase her cuz it was a ton of people, >> right? >> But I think only one dog hit her. Got it. >> And then she ran this way. Then when she came this way, SRT guy was right there. Drew down on uh this guy here who was a marshall or something down on her >> and then she went up against the window, >> but we couldn't do anything because there was people behind there on the line. >> Right. Right. Right. >> So we were just telling her, "Drop the knife. Drop the knife. Drop the knife." >> Then the cannon went up and sprayed over. >> Is that you, sir? >> He fell. >> He fell. >> He stumbled and he fell. the pepper spray. >> I tried I tried to hit I only got one dart. >> Yeah. Somehow I think my second one when once he she came at swipe that he sprayed her. I tried. Mine didn't. I don't know what happened or whatever. >> Mine was when I pointed out to do it, it was wide. So that's why I missed her >> cuz I thought I could have sworn I had to two. But all I know is when when she >> when he slipped, I was like, "Oh, I just I'm going to be honest. I just did it quick because she sworn tried to stab the girl over there." >> The next time >> I just pounced on her. I just had to stop the whole thing. I was like, "Let me just try to get her keep her on this floor." >> Yeah, >> cuz it's going to keep going till it gets it gets ugly. >> My face is on fire. >> Yeah. You You sprayed her first, right? >> No, no, no. That was Lieutenant. He's tripped in his own. >> He slipped in his own pepper spray. He sprayed. >> It's pepper spray. >> Huh? >> It's not penicellin. No, ma'am. >> It is. I think it's going to be 85. >> Lean back. >> Lean back. >> It's burning. I know 47 assault. Do you have someone meet me on airport dispatch attack one to advise on the uh situation? >> Can you wipe me off? >> I can't do anything right now. >> Okay. What am I What am I going in there? >> Come on. >> Take the handcuffs off me. >> Stand up. >> I take the handcuffs off me. >> Stand up, ma'am. >> Okay. >> Stand up. >> Can y'all take these handcuffs? >> No. Absolutely not. >> Walk right on in there. >> By the [snorts] time they got her into the airport holding cell, the woman was still demanding the handcuffs be removed like she was at a spa. >> [music] >> She kept trying every trick in the book to gain sympathy despite leaving three people scarred and a whole airport in shock. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Hey, did anybody actually go through? Come on. >> Did they What? >> The day we actually What? >> Foster. >> Check you for weapons. >> I ain't got nothing else, homie. >> I don't know what you had to begin with. >> They let me walk in with that. >> They let you walk in with what? Excuse me. >> Who's that? >> I don't know. GL. >> Not right now. Hang Give me one second. >> Yes, sir. Can I get some water, though? >> Well, I'm going to double check. See if we can get you something here in a second. Okay. >> Can I get some water? >> Please don't me without water. They already told me I was going to be George Floyd. Please give me some water. >> Sit down. >> Yes, sir. >> Here. >> Yes, sir. Can I get some water, please? >> Hang on. Move over here. Move to move to your right. point. >> Can I get some water? Can I get some water? Can I get some water? >> Can I get some water? Can you take the handcuffs off? I'm in the cell. >> Handcuffs are stained. >> Why? Can I get some water? >> Can I get some water? >> Shocking. >> Come on. There we go. [clears throat] >> We don't have like a lot of hand sanitizer down here, do we? >> We got that and it's probably all clean up in here. We don't have one of those. >> Y'all used to. All right. Do me this favor. Just double check. You're going to be able to see better than I can. I don't got any blood and [ __ ] on my uniform, do I? >> No, I don't see anything. >> Back of my arms. >> No. This entire situation was a massive failure of security and a miracle that nobody died. From a taxi ride to a terminalwide terror, Deoris showed exactly why mental health and airport security need a serious overhaul. She turned a place of travel into a crime scene. And now she's trading her luggage for a jail jumpsuit and a very long wait for trial. Deeris, aged 46, was hit with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. These charges cover the three people she actually stabbed and a fourth person she threatened with her knife. In Georgia, this is a heavy felony and she's looking at up to 20 years in prison for every single count. After her first court date, the judge decided she was too dangerous for the streets and denied her bond. Do you think these charges are enough [music] or should the prosecutor have pushed for attempted murder? Let us know in the comments.
